Stopped for lunch here and very pleased we did! Food was fresh and tasty, with generous portions, and the coffee was good too.

Generous portion of succulent scampi with crispy golden chips and a decent fresh salad. Quick service with a friendly smile. Clearly frequented by regulars which has to be a good sign.

Ordered fish and chips. While waiting at the collection point, I observed staff preparing food. Which included distribution of salad onto plates WITH THEIR BARE HANDS! They could have used gloves, or a thongs! There were no safety shoes worn. Flip- flops and training shoes! A total breech of health and Safety regulations… with that, why should they be bothered about food hygene standards!!

Came here for a coffee after a terrible experience at a near by Restaurant. What a difference, Lex's is a real gem of a cafe, good choice of tea / coffee and ice creams to make your mouth water. We had just eaten so did not buy food however what we saw being served looked very appetizing. Certainly we will be back to try the Fish & Chips.

Expensive for very average food which is a shame as it has a great location at the top of the beach. This section is also open to dogs all year around, which is why we came, but will bring a picnic next timer.

£8.15 for burger and drink .... They charge £1 per sauce in the burger .... Not worth the money :/

Was ok, nothing to celebrate or write home about. Steak was gristley, chips were undercooked but the onion rings were spot on

My wife and I were staying in Hove for the Easter Break so we booked the Ginger Pig for an evening meal as it was walking distance from our location. I chose the grilled sea bass which was superb, and my wife went for the grilled lamb neck. Unfortunately my wife didn’t like the lamb neck at all, as it wasn’t cooked to her taste. We informed the waitress who was extremely apologetic. My wife was offered anything else from the menu as an alternative. She chose the sea bass which was turned around very quickly, and cooked to perfection. As a way of recompense, the staff deducted a cocktail and one of the sides from our bill. This we were not expecting. I think the main thing here is how guests are treated when things don’t go to plan. The staff at Ginger Pig worked together to make sure we were satisfied when we left the restaurant that evening. We thought they were fantastic, the food was great and well presented, and would highly recommend.

Had a lovely dinner with my family over Easter weekend! The team are warm and friendly. Food highlights were the pate, fish pie and fondant chocolat.
