Absolutely lovely experience at the restaurant. I was searching for a halal dine-in option in Maidenhead during my business trip and found this one on Google. The owner is extremely friendly. I tried their lamb shwarma wrap with chips. The dish was delicious and the atmosphere is great too. A must try in Maidenhead.

I found this little place whilst away on business and was looking for healthy options. There were plenty of dishes I'd never heard so gave a couple of them a go. Absolutely lovely. I would highly recommend dining here.

Best restaurant in town, authentic Syrian taste, I had Shawarma in Syria in 2009 & 2011 and this place has exactly the same taste, my go to restaurant in Maidenhead.

Ordered grilled chicken. Was burnt chicken. Did not taste fresh at all.

Following owner’s response, I have removed the original review. I never want to hurt a small family business. The hospitality industry is struggling at the moment. I did not know who the owner was or how to reach them. Now that they are aware of the issue, I hope it will be rectified. I will give the place one more visit, but if I witness it again, I will resubmit my original comment.

Ordered through Deliveroo. Order came promptly but part of one meal was missing. Called Levantine and explained. The man apologised and said next time he would give me an extra large bread?! I had paid for a full meal - he wasn’t willing to deliver the missing food or reimburse me. Awful service. Will not use again.

Best food in the town, ordered large chicken shawarma meal. food was good, tasty and warm. Halal food as mentioned on their webpage too. definitely will try it again. recomended

Ordered a takeaway (two shwarmas, whole chicken and lamb shunk). I'm sorry to say that the food was appalling. The shwarmas stunk of something I won't describe and so they could not be eaten -- in fact, they made us feel sick just smelling them; the chicken was dry and tasteless; and the lamb was very strange tasting and chewy. I received a refund as the food was clearly bad. Apologies but I want to be honest and for others to be warned. I have a suspicion there has been a recent change of ownership or something.

Lovely decoration and the staff are friendly. However, the service is slow when dining in - it took them over 30 minutes to make two wrap meals during a quiet period. Had I known the waiting time beforehand, I would not have ordered. Regarding the food, it was very bland and very greasy - oil was dripping out of the wrap and was pooling on the plate. The only saving grace was the chips - the seasoning they use on the chips are exceptional and if I were to visit again, I'd probably order just the chips.

Placed an order via uber when sat down to eat found 2 items missing, to which Uber arranged a refund still pending. When we opened the other items they were also wrong instead of chicken shwarma we get mixed shawarma and no jalapeño filled with cheese instead batata harrara. Phoned the restaurant no response also raised with Uber no response what a shambles especially on our last Iftar this evening. One star is for the chips which is the only item that was correct.

Used to be good but now the portion sizes are a joke, mixed grill was expensive and just a few small lumps of meat, plus don't bother ordering drinks because they'll never put them in the bag

Ordered through just eat. 2 shawarmas and hummus. Hummus came with 1 bread for £5, shawarma’s we’re very small and thin, no sauce, greasy and fatty lamb. Grease literally dripping from the bottom. Tasteless and very poor value compared to kebab shops or other takeaways. Be careful.

Food took 2 hours to arrive. We live 12 min away. We didn't order anything that required length prep (shawarma, shish taooq, falafel) The food was good but 2 hours is insane. They kept extending the time to delivery. I'd rather they just reject the order --- Response to Restaurant's comment: You are correct, I did leave a comment for food ordered the previous night. On the Deliveroo app, the order was stuck at "Food is being prepared" for approx 1 hr 30 min. The driver delivered it within 15-20 min Everything I wrote was true and accurate (also, you meant to write libel - slander is spoken, I wrote my statements). We were credited by Deliveroo because "order took too long" when we requested compensation.

Generous portions and truly authentic Arabic flavors. We ordered the falafel platter and lentil soup and hummus beiruti. Affordable pricing for really wholesome food.

CASH ONLY! It says they accept debit on their Google page and on the door of the restaurant. They do not. Cash. Only. Decent food. I got the hot mezze platter and I wonder if it was reheated frozen food besides the potatoes. The fresh juices were juiced in front of me, and was delicious. Inside the restaurant was freezing cold. I would perhaps order something else for take away, but I would not eat in again.

Food never disappoints, great customer service

We are Lebanese origin and this food was dire. Nothing was seasoned at all, we received food we hadn't ordered and didn't receive homous or moutabel. The fattouch was a small salad drenched in water, the tabouleh was tiny (£5) and again lacked any seasoning or dressing other than water. The Kafta was passable, the kibbeh was very poor. They sent rice which we didn't order or eat as it was terrible. They also sent un ordered fouls which were horrific. £50 for a largely inedible meal

I ordered a takeaway. When I got home, and got the kids around the table to eat, we realised that whatever was in that bag was not what I had ordered. Unfortunately it was too late and too far to go back and complain. It was very disappointing as takeaways from Levantine is normally a treat for my children.

I ordered their large chicken shawarma. The mayonnaise was delicious! The staff was no nice and customised the shawarma according to my preferences. Thank you Levantine. Was worth the price !

Went here for the 1st time recently and I must say this place was very nice. The seating area outside is a nice addition as it was a hot summers day and it was nice to eat outside. As for the food it was very very nice. We ordered a mixed platter between 3 of us but honestly it was enough for 4. The food was cooked really well and tender. The taste was very nice and the sauces they gave with it were fantastic. I definitely recommend trying this place.

Delicious food and friendly service. Had the Mixed Levantine Platter which was full of flavour and variety. The outdoor seating is a big plus for the warmer months too.

haven't been in a place with the staff being so inconsiderate about the customers presence, screaming to call eachother all the time The cashier guy shouts his colleagues in the little room in the back and they shout back to answer. they guy who cooks shouts to call the other guy in the street and the last thing that is (not) important are the customers trying to enjoy their food or talk to eachother. the other annoying thing is that friends got served out of order, and apparently any delivery call gets priority over the sitting and waiting customer. this place obviously suffers from lack of management and no training on customer service whatsoever

Ordered the chicken burger meal, falafel and halloumi wrap meal and a Lamb Shawarma wrap meal for my team and all I can say is the food was AMAZING. Will defiantly be going back. So much flavour and great service. Well done.

~UPDATE~ I called the owner on the back of this review and I was assured that the quality & portions I received in this order was a one off situation. This was mainly due to new staff in the kitchen that required more training. Given the amount of times I received quality service previously, I'm happy to give the benefit of the doubt, and on the back of a chat with the owner, I genuinely believe they care about customer service. So will be upgrading my rating to five stars, because of how they dealt with my complaint in an understanding and timely manner. The one thing I would suggest reviewing is the difference in pricing over delivery apps, compared to ordering directly from the restaurant. I understand that all restaurants increase prices over delivery apps compared to buying from the shop, to cater for fees. However, I think a difference of over £2.5 on each of the platters & grills, as explained in my original review, is more than most restaurants which charge an extra £1 on top of each item. ~Original Review~ Before today, I had ordered from Levantine 8 times - I won't be ordering from here again. I used to love Levantine for the tasty food and large portions, today's mixed shawarma platter and mixed grill were pitiful. Previously I would get the silver disposable tray full to the brim with meat and chips, separately would have a salad in a plastic container. Today's portions were tiny in comparison and the salad was put together in the silver disposable tray. Made the food soggy and took additional space where there should have been meat and chips. In addition, be aware that when ordering through delivery, most of the items have become significantly more expensive than ordering in person. We're talking paying £16 instead of £13/13.5 for the same items - 20% more. Not quite sure why this needs to be such a rip off. Lastly, ordering through Uber eats took 1 hour to bring the food, the food was cold by the time it arrived. It's sad to see my local favorite to have dropped in service & quality so significantly all of a sudden.

Avoid! No food hygiene. My father got food poisoning from the lamb. Never ordering from here again. Poor quality and no good standard of food in Maidenhead.

Food is good but one thing to watch out for is that they don't accept card payments if you're dining in.

Was: The 4 of us had a sit in lunch with the levantine mezze to share comprising from memory kibbeh falafel humous mouttabal Baba ghanoush and some cheese dishes plus tabouleh salad probably more. The other 2 ordered a lamb kebab meal and shawarma which were good. Today, grabbed a couple of takeaway falafel and kebab wraps, excellent .. esp liked the pickled cabbage or whatever it was inside.

For only 6 pounds, got the best falafel wrap of my life, fresh falafel and flat bread was perfect and a drink, cheap, authentic, and tasty af

We waited 50 minutes for our order. When we arrived we were told itll be only 15 mins and there was nobody inside, then everyone else was served before us who came for take away. Will never come back here again.

It was absolutely delicious, very curtious staff I left my phone there they kept it safe for me and gave it to me. We ordered lamb shish wraps, chicken and lamb shawarma wraps and chips. Every thing was made very well. Sorry no pics this time was very hungry so we all are the yummy food fast 🤤😋 but I will upload the pics next I will dine in there. Worst kebab I have ever had! I couldn't chew the lamb and full of gristle! My partner had the kofte and no flavour at all. Was looking forward to it but will never order from here again !

We've had a couple of takeaways from Levantine and would highly recommend. The food is delicious - it is really nicely seasoned and well cooked with fresh tasty ingredients.

I have been there many times when visiting family in Maidenhead and always found the food to be delicious. I will be paying a return visit when I am next down and found the food far nicer than others in the area.

Urgent!!Please take the Lentil soup off of the menu this evening; there is glass in it! I telephoned to notify Levantine and the man said to me "what do you want me to do about it". I asked to speak to the manager and to not serve anymore more soup. He said no. I am worried that someone else will order this

Highly recommend this place, we had Arabic shawarma plate which you can see in the picture, was so yummy with fresh ingredients and friendly staff.

For dinner tonight my family and I went to Levantine in Maidenhead. We had ordered many takeaways from here during lockdown and as we also live in Taplow, Maidenhead I decided that this time we will eat in. Levantine is a halal Syrian restaurant based in Market Street with access to parking nearby and disabled parking bays right outside. I love Syrian and Lebanese food. I love their much softer, creamier style of hummus as opposed to the grained Turkish hummus and and I also am very fond of other classic Syrian dishes such as chicken liver. The ambience inside Levantine in Maidenhead is very similar to what I assume a Syrian cafe would be like. The grill is on, cooking is continuous and there’s a buzz about the place. To start with we had hummus plus a portion of chicken liver, with the mains being a mixed shawarma wrap for me and mixed lamb and chicken kofta with rice and salad. Everything was so succulent and fresh. Front of house was a lovely Portuguese lady called Barbara who continuously interacted with our seven year old daughter and kept checking on us even though she was so obviously busy with delivery orders, takeaways and other restaurant customers. I just loved the buzz and the food was beautiful. Being in Maidenhead plus the building was on a smaller scale, meant that it didn’t feel crowded like some restaurants we have experienced. I said to my wife that the food here was much better than many much more expensive Middle Eastern restaurants we have been to in London and around the world. We will definitely be making this a other of our regular haunts. Well done Levantine Maidenhead! ❤️❤️

I ordered veg falafel wrap and it was really bad. It was very sour and very very very salty. I had to throw my wrap.

The food was delicious, especially the rice that came with my chicken shish taouk, it was mixed with veg and had bits of batata harra in it. The wrap meal was also just perfect.

We ordered hummus for takeaway and it was old, we end up throwing it away. Make sure they give you fresh food. Not ordering again from them for sure

For the third time now we've been very disappointed by the quality. We were one of the first customers when the restaurant opened, we instantly fell in love with the food, however it has since steadily worsened. We ordered lamb and mixed shawarma wraps. The lamb was chewy, full of fat, and the chicken was dry and tasteless. These wraps used to be packed with pickles and a really nice sauce. Now every single ingredient tastes different, it's like having a completely different meal. It's happened for the third time in a row now and I'm afraid the restaurant went from being our favourite to one we won't be buying from again. It's a shame that you lowered your standards so much... :(
