Poor food, poor service, pretty bad experience and high price. Don’t go.

Order a gamberi pasta, no taste at all was charged 18, for a small plate of it 😢

Despite the stylistic look, it's just a pizza and pasta shop. Though in the midst of go Eat Out campaign, a few customers were there, quiet night. One female was working on the floor and she often drifted away somewhere. The price was reasonable, so value for the money.

No ambiance, not bad Good restaurant but nothing more...

We booked for a mid evening meal and were looking forward to a really good evening. However, whilst the food was excellent the service was pretty average, the staff seeming quite disinterested, on arrival booking in and then being left standing, bread ordered to accompany pre meal olives arriving with the first course and overall little atmosphere or feeling that the staff really cared. So whilst we enjoyed the food very much the evening was a disappointment.

Went for early Saturday lunch. Builders doing work in restaurant. Completely watered down cocktails. Not worth the money and not usual taste. Food was ok but not special. Environment poor.

The duck pasta dish was excellent, 2 other dishes were tasty however the prawn and courgette pasta dish was unremarkable and easily cooked at home- which was disappointing. The staff were generally OK, if a little unengaged- lots of trying to catch someone's eye to get service....we left after a nice enough meal, but sadly not the 'special' one we had hoped for in terms of food or service.

Fresh products, each dish was bursting with flavours. What a beautiful experience with a professional staff. Quiet, intimate place with gorgeous interior design. Very reasonably priced for such an experience. Special note for the perfectly executed Papardelle al Ragu.

We really enjoyed our Italian style afternoon tea and found it great value for money. The service was friendly and the restaurant not too busy and nicely decorated for Christmas

Great quality food and the restaurant is a lovely peaceful space. It wasn’t noisy but still had plenty of guests. Fantastic service. Highly recommended!

horrible service, when we asked for more silverware the server replied "do I look like an octopus?" and the server fought with us when we said a dish was cold

We found this lovely restaurant after a quick search to see what was nearby during our stay in Kensington. So glad Theo’s came up as a suggestion!

You can never go wring with Theo’s food! Simply amazing

Came in for dinner and was seated by our reservation. Sat at the table for 20 minutes before leaving and was given no service except for water upon arrival. All other tables were being serviced except for my table. There was one server assisting with more tables than they should have and one bar tender with no customers at the bar not assisting.

Having sampled Theo’s at the Intercontinental several times, I was eagerly awaiting to try Theo’s Simply Italian. I must say the food and service was excellent as you’d expect. The quality of food was superb, maybe not so refined and high class as the IC but still very good. When we dined it was very a very quiet Saturday night, which was surprising. However, overall it was well worth going and experiencing.

Having dined at Theo Randall at the Intercontinental many times I was excited to try his new restaurant. Although I was not expecting fine dining it was a little disappointing. Overall I had a pleasant meal with quite good food except for the Artichoke and Spinach Tart which I thought lacked flavour and that the pastry was bit dry. The ambience is a more like a casual cafe than a good restaurant. The service was very friendly but staff are not very knowledgeable and a bit slow. It's difficult to understand what Simple Italian is trying to be because the prices are quite high but the surroundings and service don't reflect the cost. I would not recommend it for a special occasion and would rather pay a little more and return to the Intercontinental next time.

A little disappointed with the menu variety and lack of imagination on this occasion. The wait staff are run off their feet and need more assistance - two or three servicing a busy restaurant will lead to slower and less personalised service. They do a great job under the circumstances.

Nice vibe and attentive staff. Simple good quality ingredients, beautifully cooked. The monkfish was excellent.

Nice place and people. Service was just excellent. Very pleasant bar staff. The food was good. As a vegetarian there was a reasonable choice and the food was nice. But I'd prefer the zucchini fries thinner - I'm not sure thick cut courgette chips really work. My friend is a meat eater and she was very happy with her food. The place was nicely done up but even though it was nearly full by the time we left wasn't very buzzy. I wonder if there's more they could do to make it less like a hotel restaurant? But I'd recommend it and we had a very pleasant evening. It's also worth mentioning the chairs. I hate eating in uncomfortable surroundings - but these chairs were lovely - very comfortable.

Food very good, service very friendly and attentive we had a lovely afternoon here and although not on the menu we managed to get Frangelico affogato for dessert! And we were very happy with the bill. 👍👍👍

A gem of an Italian restaurant hidden down a side street. The food was a taste delight from start to finish, and the wine selection complements the dishes available. Looking forward to another visit.

We were really disappointed with the poor quality of the food and although the staff were friendly they did not ask why we had not eaten the food. Because we were with old friends who we had not seen for a long time and they asked us not to mention the disappointing food we did not address this at the time.

Wonderful delicious food. We were a party of 6 and everyone raved about the food. If we are in London again we will definitely return.

First courses (Primi) were MUCH better than the main ones (Secondi). If I would go there again I would order only Primi ones.

We had great experiences in the past but this time the service left something to be desired. Maybe that’s why the place was empty on a Thursday night when in the past it was busy. Ordered an appetizer and never received it. Server never checked on us after our mains were delivered. Pasta was still great though.

Food as before was delicious. A small menu but enough choices to suit. We visited for a special occasion which we had noted with our booking but no mention was made of this. The restaurant was quite quiet compared to a previous visit and we had to wait for a table to be cleared even though we had booked. Would highly recommend the ragu. Excellent wine list to accompany the meal.

Superb Italian food, great value for money on mother’s day special menu, knowledgeable service and wine service from the host, but ignorance from inattentive waitress. But I would return happily!

The starter of Salumi Misti was nice, some tasty meats and well sized portion but the bread with it was hard and dry. The main house Ragu was disappointing, it was only warm, the amount of pasta was a starter size and it lacked seasoning. The waiters were friendly.

We went with our two small children. Pasta was good. We all enjoyed our dishes. Children friendly is a bonus. Children menu available. Clean and tidy.

Excellent food, We shared the Fritto Misto and Meat platter to start. And then my boyfriend had the pappardelle ragu while I had the duck filled pasta with mushroom sauce. Absolutely delicious The staff were a little slow to take our order, and automatically selected the larger sharing board for us despite the fact we said we wanted it as a starter. In spite of this excellent. Classy yet cosy setting

We had a lovely meal at Theo's Simple Italian. The ambience was great (not too noisy, not too quiet), the service was attentive but not overbearing (one of the servers was particularly helpful when it came to choosing a starter suitable for sharing) and the food was excellent, if ever so slightly too salty. It was a lovely restaurant to spend an evening in and I would highly recommend it.

Overpriced and very mediocre food. It's basically fancied up room service food at a mid-market hotel. Not worth the trip - especially for the prices they charge

The food was excellent and nicely presented. The staff were very helpful. The only negative point was the size of the portions. I was still peckish leaving the restaurant.

We booked for a family birthday celebration and we are so pleased we did. We all had a wonderful evening, food was delicious, staff were very efficient and friendly but professionally so. Nothing was too much trouble for them, from bringing a selection of wines for us to taste to making the 'Birthday boy' feel special. All in all we enjoyed ourselves tremendously and will definitely be back for another visit when in the area.

This is a nice place with a good atmosphere. staff were helpful and friendly so no issues there at all. The food was tasty overall however the portions were very small for all three of us. I had the alternative breakfast which consisted of two eggs, (which were fine) one small hash brown, a small square of grilled halloumi, a tiny pot of beans and again a small pot of smashed avocado. The mushroom was small and hardly worth having, oh and no toast. Tasty but by no means a filling breakfast. This is really easy to rectify as everything else is overall very good, however the food is important, hence the 3 stars overall.

We had our Christmas dinner at Theo's and the service was poor, the food was not much better and the price of 60 pounds per person was outrageous.

The food was pretty good, but the staff was so pretentious that I kind of ruined the dinner. The menu does not specify whether sides are to be ordered seperately, and the staff, pretentious as they are, will not offer you any help with it either. Dessert was the saddes sorbet ever. For that price, it could have been served in a nicer way. Do not order the hot chocolate. It was not hot, and it was not good; a bit like the one you get out of a regular vending machine.

The staff were excellent - especially helpful with the two very small children we brought along.The food was pretty good too.

The food at Theo's is clearly made with love - we particularly enjoyed the Pappardelle al Ragu.

Sadly this was not a great menu. The food was basic at best and very disappointed that most of it was made ahead. Pasta does not take long to cook so I don't understand why you would pre prepare this. I will not be visiting again. The pommodorro sauce tasted like watered down tomato paste. All in all, disappointed that Theo Randall has put his name to this.

We went for my birthday on a Friday evening around 9.30 pm so quite late but I had a really nice evening. It wasn`t full but also not emtpy - so perfect for talking and to chill in this busy city! The service was very very nice and sweet (they sang for me:)) ! We had the ravioli with ricotta and squash and the ragu and both were really good!

Quantity will be better for the Prices, and Ambiente is ok But Not so nice

The food was delicious and the atmosphere was warmer and classier than I was expecting at this price point. The staff were attentive but interrupted our conversation too many times trying to take food away before we were through. Still, we had a comfortable, tasty Italian meal in a nicely appointed restaurant.

The staff member who greeted us seemed to think she was too cool to really acknowledge our existence. The waitress who served us our meal was friendly enough, but was a little too absent.

A really good find for locals. Tucked away in a hotel on a quiet street just off the Earls Court Road, this restaurant offers exactly what it promises - simple Italian food. It is obviously aimed at its hotel guests so that there is something for everyone, and it is in the Italian way very child-friendly. The food though is way better than one might expect; genuinely authentic and perfectly cooked Italian dishes created with artistry and flair. The service is exceptionally personal, in a wholly good way. The waiters genuinely care. Bravo!

Over priced, over rated. Very disappointing. Service was not particularly attentive. Spicy meatballs were neither hot or spicy. Salmon undercooked. Limited choice menu.

Excellent. Unfortunately we turned up at 11.15 - between the end of breakfast and the beginning of lunch as we had to attend something at 1 O'clock. We had no idea there was a break between the two - anyway the staff were very helpful and allowed us to select from the breakfast menu. Best eggs benedict I have had. Thank you.

The staff were rude. No one was serving us. I had to go to the bar to pay because no one would come to me. For the price, the food wasn’t good and the cutlery was terrible. Staff were very agressive They did not deserve the service charge

Lewis(?) our waiter was extremely helpful and informative. The lunch menu is limited but still enjoyable. The restaurant is part of the Indigo Hotel and is adjacent to reception which results in new arrivals tending to pass through the restaurant. We had a late lunch and virtually had the restaurant to ourselves, which is reflected in our score for the ambience. We imagine this improves during evening and weekend service. Overall, the food was to the standard you would associate with Theo Randall.

Attended for an evening meal to catch up with family, perfect location just near Earls Court tube station. We were sat at a round table by the window and the staff allowed us to stay for as long as we liked, great food and even better service provided a great evening!

After reading many positive reviews on tripadvisor we had high expectations for this ‘neighbourhood gem’, however, we were left bitterly dissapointed with the food. None of the dishes was tasty out of many dishes we ordered between the 3 of us was. A sign of things to come was when we ordered pre dinner nibbles and stale almonds were brought to our table along wth inedible fried zucchini. The pasta that was described as homemade was such a dissapoinment we wanted to leave in a hurry. The only saving grace was a lovely waiter who could not have been nicer. We will not be coming back nor recommending this place.

Everything was perfect from beginning, but in the end the waitresses had to many person to serve- so we were ignorated.

Delicious meal in relaxed restaurant. Really friendly service. Food was delicious and well presented. We both had a fresh calamari salad which was full of flavour, a homemade pasta dish filled with duck and a really tasty truffle sauce and my partner had perfectly cooked tuna steak with salad side which we shared and the yummiest roast potatoes . Tiramisu for my partner and lemon tart for me followed by coffee. Lovely bottle verdiccio- we loved it all

Really impressed with this little neighbourhood gem! Happened to stumble across this place whilst trawling through opentable so decided to give it a shot. Of course my expectations were high as this is the restaurant of Theo Randall from the Intercontinental and I'll say that it delivered up to every bit of my expectations. It's not your traditional Italian, you won't find a pizza here but you'll find an array of hearty pasta and meat dishes. The only downside is the service was terribly slow and we dined on a Wednesday evening! Will definitely be back!

A nice, low-key , casual restaurant with a surprisingly comprehensive menu and good set menu. The food was excellent and the service friendly and prompt. I will go again.

Popped in with colleagues as we were working locally. On a modest expenses budget but the set menu came in within budget at £24 for 3 courses. I’d happily go back on my own money and give the rest of the menu a go. Wine to suit all budgets.

Beautiful restaurant with stunning decor and equally stunning and delicious food. A real gem just round the corner from Earls Court and ideal for date night, business lunches and family get-togethers etc.

Risotto with chestnuts was unique and delicious. Generous portions and nice ambience.

This restaurant is easy and cozy place to get very good Italian food. You will get honest food with clear flavors. Selected rose wine was excellent with risotto. Interior is rather Scandinavian style, simple and relax. If you are nearby - I recommend to try.

We dined at Theo’s Simple Italian for my son’s first birthday in the private dinning room. Vincenzo & Lewis were so personable & accommodating, they went to great lengths to make our afternoon memorable. Food was delicious & very reasonably priced. Thank you so very much.

Nice proseco to start. Lovely starter of meatballs - would recommend this. Then very nice duck and mushroom pasta but also a less nice risotto. Risotto was poor order - would not recommend. Nice restaurant and had a nice evening but don't think I would go back nescesarrily. Given how much paying thought tables could have been a little less squished in.

While the restaurant lacked a little bit of atmosphere (it was a Sunday night) it more than made up for in food. Very tasty, lovely true Italian menu and a nice selection of wines. Service is excellent. Earls Court is lacking in good restaurants and this is top of my list.

Great little spot for a casual supper. High quality Italian cooking, great service and good sized portions. Lots of different sections to the restaurant which makes it seem busy even on a Monday night.

What a disappointment! Was so looking forward to an excellent meal after hearing such good reviews of Theo Randall. Service was amateur and food poor. We ordered the seafood pasta and pork dishes amongst others . The seafood pasta had plenty of pasta, but next to no seafood! The pork was sold out and substituted for beef- this was tough and fatty and very unpleasant.

Quiet early on Sunday evening, service good, portions were generous!
