Pasé por un poco de queso y vino con mi esposa, y tenía una buena botella de vino. Pedimos una tabla de quesos que no era muy buena y que no se señaló que consistía solo en quesos franceses, que ninguno de los dos nos gustó especialmente. Se cobró un cargo por el servicio que se calculó para ser 2 por recargar nuestras copas de vino. Estaba bien, y me habría quedado más tiempo, si hubiera una mejor selección de quesos, etc., pero mucho mejores bares de vinos en la zona, y así se trasladó.

Spent a lovely chilled evening here with some friends after a meal out. You pay for your pleasures but the three different bottles of rose we had between us were all really good so we didn't mind. The Chateau Mourges de Gres is worth a special mention, simply superb. Sadly had to leave at closing time and go back to our hotel.

Hermoso bar con ambiente relajante en la calle Katherine doc. Teníamos vino y algunos bocaditos que era muy sabroso y fresco. El servicio fue excelente . De hecho, fueron atendidos por el encantador gerente de Bélgica que nos encontró un buen lugar para sentarnos. Sin duda volveremos de nuevo.

Mi hermana y yo estábamos tomando una copa cerca y tropezamos con este pequeño y encantador bar de charcutería con la esperanza de encontrar algo para picar, ¡y qué hallazgo fue! Desde el principio hasta el final (y estuvimos allí hasta justo después del cierre, ¡lo siento, chicos!) El servicio y el ambiente fueron perfectos y no pudimos haber pedido una noche más agradable. John Luka (¡disculpas si me he equivocado!) Nos cuidó muy bien y disfrutamos mucho de nuestra velada. Ah, y debo mencionar que ambos somos amantes del queso y la selección fue absolutamente de dinero! No puedo recomendar este lugar más, una pequeña joya de Londres.

Had a drink after a tiring day then decided to share the large charcuterie/cheese board. Obviously tourist/london prices but the food board was one of the largest we have had compared to other wine bars so that made up for it. Staff friendly and even tried out my very basic French so we had a laugh with one of the waiters.

The service was the rudest I have ever encountered. And they included a 12.5 percent service charge on the already outrageous bill. Avoid

Unmittelbar hinter der Tower Bridge liegen die St. Katharine docks. Einst ein Handelshafen, heute eine Marina mit drei Hafenbecken inklusive Luxuswohnungen und mehreren Lokalen. Darunter auch die l´escale wine bar. Ideal für den Tagesausklang, vor allem bei sommerlichen Wetter, wo man in der Abendsonne bei einem guten Glas abseits des hecktischen Touristentrubels das Treiben in der Marina und auf den Yachten beobachten kann. Eine Oase mitten in der City of London.

Really nice atmosphere, staff are very friendly and attentive! Drink list is excellent! Had a great Saturday afternoon, and food looks amazing (to go with the wine ! )

A haven of rest after a long hot day at Hampton Court Flower Show. Welcoming and friendly staff, a good atmosphere, and a really nice bottle of rose to chill out with. Decided to stay for some food and tried the cheese and charcuterie, which was generous and excellent with some sourdough bread. This is an authentic French wine bar and so they do not sell new World wines or prosecco, neither do they have a Happy Hour or draught beer - which were asked for by some visitors while we were there. Would recommend to anyone looking for a genuine wine bar experience.

What a lovely hidden gem in London, with excellent views to St Katherine's Docks... Perfectly located for a quick break at lunchtime or drinks after work. Sommelier has vast knowledge, not just of the wine that he sells, but generally about wine, which is refreshing. Perfectly fluent in French, he loves his love more than anything else. Will visit again fairly soon to be looked after. Price-wise, the bottles of wine, considering that some come all over from Italy, are rather fairly priced. Charcuterie board, perfect appetiser for Emilia's next door!

First and foremost, the staff are lovely. Really friendly, helpful and welcoming. I would also like to add that the actual interior is beautiful, comfy seating and very spacious. You can definitely spend a good amount of quality time there. Some constructive ‘criticism’. One – It would be great if more of the wines were available by glass. Majority of the wines are by bottle and I feel that we’d have definitely tried more had more been available by glass. Two. Only two champagnes were on the menu – not really a lot of choice, and I don’t recall seeing prosecco. Three. The place only really offered ‘old world’ wines which is OK. But it would be nice if some ‘new world’ wines were offered as well. Given that the majority of the wines are by bottle, you get the feeling the place is more designed to have you buy more wine to take away rather than spend too much time there. The owner should introduce more wines by glass and introduce some more new world wines as well.

Very good service, friendly staff and nice wine and a pleasant environment. Impressed! Will definitely visit again!

Ontzettend fijn rustpunt in de drukke stad London. Topwijnen, bijpassende kaasjes en vlees, charcuterie. Relaxe sfeer en lekkere banken. Aanrader.

Came across this wine bar when staying in the area . It is open until 9.30 pm on Monday, Tues , Weds so we returned on the Tuesday early evening . Very comfy authentic wine bar in a lovely position on St Katharines Dock . Excellent wine knowledge which saw us finishing 2 bottles of excellent red ( not the original intention!) , and a landed return visit . Next time will intend to enjoy the cheese & charcuterie.
