Best chips for a long time today from Leo's. Golden brown not dark brown. Cod in batter was great, as it usually is

Really gone downhill since change of ownership. Don't even try the new replacement "fish roe" ... they used to do normal cod roes in batter ... but I don't know what this stuff is ... it's slimy, smooth, disgusting and tastes like battered fish guts.

Fish and chips was lovely and fresh.Deep fried chicken was fried to perfection.The service from the lady was fantastic. Keep up the good work.

I've only been once. The chips looked good and had a crisp but they were dry and kind of the same with the sausage. Average, but I would try again.

The food is always so good here as is the service. They are very efficient and the place is always clean and tidy too. For the high standard of food, the prices are very reasonable.

The curry source is a must try item!

Think this has changed hands since we last visited here a year ago as did not recongnise the family. Fish very greasy and batter way too thick that inside its not cooked. All used to be very fresh and crispy. Not any more.

Please avoid this place. The food is precooked, cold, soggy and tastes vile. No wonder this place wasn’t busy locals must know how bad it is. Anyone like myself working out of town save your money and go somewhere else.

Worse food I’ve had from takeaway in years. We have heatwave cost us curry & noodles with chips oh had to share them to cost us £19 I’ll never go again. Chips you tarmac the road with. Not good

The owners were incredibly kind to me when I came in with my young son and ended up in a tricky situation that they helped me out with. The fish and chips were also so delicious that I came back later with my husband and he had some too and they were equally excellent. Highly recommend.

Poor quality. Everything seems to be precooked and re fried when you ask for it.. dry and brown chips and fish batter greasy

Fish & chips are ok but the chicken curry is not nice, tastes like pre cooked chicken and raw onions thrown is the sauce.

Really good fish & chips. Decent size portions for 1 person, not oversized so you can't eat it all. Fish is good and nicely battered and the chips are always good. This is not local to us, but we will go the extra distance.

Fish onion rings and mushy peas were very good but chips a little inconsistent. Price was very competitive, overall would go there again.

Sadly I am unable to provide a review of the food as the place is never open the several times I've tried going there, even though the timetable states it should be open for business! Ridiculous.

The best fish and chip shop I have ever been to. The fish was absolutely magnificent and the chips were just superb. I will have to go there again in the near future. Will definitely recommend to my friends and family.

Queue was out the door last Saturday. V popular, and with good reason. Excellent fish and chips. Reasonably priced, quick service. Really good food hygiene rating too. What's not to like?

Best fish and chips shop in this part of the world. I drive out from Abingdon for a weekly lunchtime treat. Very reasonable price for cod and a cone of chips (plenty for lunch), and friendly service too. My top tip, I tend to go early and then pop them in the oven when I get home - because I like mine really crispy. Very surprised by the poor reviews given, so signed in to try to redress the balance. Totally happy to recommend, and you may well see me in the queue!

Only gave a star so I can leave a comment. ..... Not happy at all ! Haddock n chips. Haddock was far to sweet so rang to ask if they put MSG in the batter... "no we put a bit on the fish but only the haddock not the cod" Asked why they didn't advertise they used it and was told I should have asked. So if you have any condition that makes you sensitive to MSG be careful
