LEON – Moorgate in City of London, Westminster

Me sirvieron alrededor de las 19. 55 pm por un joven caballero afro caribeño que fue extremadamente hostil y grosero en el mostrador que definitivamente creo que se debió a mi origen mestizo Volví a la tienda a las 8 pm después de ver el estado del llamado chai latte que me había hecho que estaba todo separado y parecía vómito y sabía asqueroso porque estaba sobrecargado de jarabe Discutió conmigo e incluso agarró mi bolsa de papel que estaba llena de comida que acababa de comprar, cuando exigí mi dinero de vuelta para el café con leche Aparentemente es el gerente. ¿Cómo puede alguien así llegar a ser gerente? Es racista y poco profesional. Nunca más volveré a este restaurante.

En primer lugar, en general me gusta mucho León, pero el curry de Navidad lo estoy comiendo mientras escribo las cosas muy pobres. Muy desagradable. Es extremadamente dulce: acabo de buscar el contenido de azúcar y es significativamente más alto que sus otras cajas de arroz. Eso es malo para un lugar que se supone que ofrece comida saludable. No hay absolutamente ninguna necesidad de hacerlo tan dulce. Y no hay nada de chile picante en él. Menos que suave. Seguramente un curry necesita al menos un poco de calor. Y es lo más caro del menú, lo que no tiene ningún sentido. No feliz.

We had breakfast here two days in a row for convenience; it’s quick and tasty. The service is alright, not extremely nice. On the first day I had a Double Chocolate Cookie, which was tasty, and a Flat White with Coconut Milk, which was good but very overpriced - over 4£ for a small drink. On the second day I had the Salmon, Avocado and Egg Pot, with their Vegan Aioli on the side, which was really good - the salmon was delicious. The egg was somewhat stuck to the bottom of the pot, and I was expecting the whole thing to be quite bigger, but still it was nice. Also had their Ginger Kombucha, which was good :)

I was passing this Leon unit in Moorgate and in the window there is a big poster with their Turkey Christmas Rice Bowl. It looks gorgeous, with a big portion of meat and vegetables, slathered all over the rice (which can be barely seen). Also a QR code to download the app and get 20% off first order. So , I went inside , took a seat and downloaded the app. The app , once registered, promised to send me the 20% off code by email . I went to my email and it was a "thank you for registering" email , but no code included. I opened the app and began an order for the Turkey Rice bOWL , THERE WAS NO 20% DISCOUNT code or voucher in the app, so , instead of supplying my bank card details , i closed down the app and just odered from the shops touch screens. I ordered the Turkey Rice bowl to take-away and eat at home. When i got home , i lifted the lid to see 80% rice and 20% meat/veg. I kid you not , there was only about 50 grams of meat and veg on top of all of that rice. Absolutely nothing like the poster promo picture . I felt totally cheated and upon eating the meal it certainly was not balanced. Meat/ved NEEDED to be twice the portion ( as pictured). It was my first ever visit to this chain and , NEVER AGAIN ! I dont recommend due to poor portion size and "conning" the public with glorious poster images of food that is not provided.

After a few breakfasts at a couple of different branches I can only give a 5 star review. Fresh, hot, consistently tasty food. Fast service with a smile. I'd highly recommend the chorizo and egg muffin which is packed full of flavour, perfectly paired with the hash browns. Compliments to the chefs

I live close to this restaurant and I eat there regularly, as I pass through the transport hub at Moorgate most days. The restaurant is equally good for a full English breakfast in a pot, a quick lunch or just a coffee and cake in the afternoon. I also trust Leon on allergies, which is important, as I am coeliac. The staff are friendly and helpful. it's position has one unique attribute. You can get to the restaurant from Moorgate station in heavy rain as the short fifty metre route is sheltered enough by the buildings, so you don't get soaked. The restaurant, is one of the few with good gluten-free food within a short walk of an Elizabeth Line station to the East of Tottenham Court Road.

Really nice summer berry & pomegranate yoghurt which was also refreshing and light on a warm day. Healthy too. Fruit was fresh and well presented and portion size was good. Not cheap! I wish they would do this all day and not just breakfast. Love the new ordering system or via the app. So much easier. They also display nutrition and calories which I like plus pictures of the food! Staff were pleasant and friendly. Good service.

It is thanks to the staff at this branch, that I find myself eating lunch here whenever I am in the area. The manager (Zara), I hope that is her name; always has a smile on her face and serves every customer in the same way. Her and her team work well together as I have always recieved my food hot and they have never got my order wrong. Merry christmas to all the staff

Yesterday (24th sep) i arrived about 7:20 am , delighted to see one remaining pain au chocolate, which i bought. Only at the office did i realise that they successfully sold me a very stale pastry which i threw away. Not sure why they did this. They got an extra sale of something that they should have thrown out, but have lost a loyal customer for life. Never will go back.

Great food and good value. Excellent staff, very friendly. I’ve been served by Special mention to Ryen, always greets you with a smile, nothing too much trouble and exceptional customer service. 👍

Jordan at the Moorgate branch was so lovely and efficient! He was the only one on the till yet delivered incredible service! Thank you, Jordan!

Had a halloumi wrap before attending venue in Barbican. Quick but not very tasty. The food was less than average.

Service to begin with was great and as expected. Sadly everything after this went downhill apart from one thing. The one thing happened after waiting for a considerable time where I was offered a company drink. Which was a superb gesture. Sadly the Xmas wrap ordered was as so dry. I might as well just have been eating an overcooked Turkey with nothing else....... oh wait I was. Ok a slight exaggeration as there were other things in the wrap that added to the dryness. Apart from the cranberry sauce. Either the person in the kitchen didn’t know what they were doing or the item recipe needs to serious looking at. I think it’s my initial though as no company would sign something so dry for ‘fit for consumption’ Very poor.

Rude staff overpriced and very long waits for service. Avoid at all costs unless u have 2 hours for lunch

The lentil Masala was really good hot and tasty. The paleon bar was very fruity but I wonder how much sugar was in it. The latte coffee with it milk wasn't the best I've ever tasted but good never the less. As a vegan it was a pretty good short stop for lunch. Would be good if they could replace the utensils for bamboo instead of plastic.

Took the Korean burger which I have had previously and liked it. This time it was bland and dry. It was a busy lunch time so hopefully a one-off issue.

Great food and service. Very fast and great for quick lunch. The best that it's healthy. I love the fact that there were many different ingredients and all fresh . In this way the food wasn't boring. So so tasty and simple.

I love Leon - speedy service, varied menu, affordable, no frills so no fuss. Great to eat in or take-away for a treat in the office.

Cheap eats but healthy if you fancy a quick snack, various things like chilli, Thai green curry, shredded beef etc
