Leon - Cannon Street in City of London, Westminster

I like this particular Leon a lot. The people are friendly and you can always get a seat. I do think that Leon has (as a whole) gone a bit down hill recently in terms of the type of food it is producing. It just seems cheaper and less health conscious as it used to... still like this one though.

He estado comiendo en Leon's durante años, me encanta su comida y sus opciones veganas. Hoy es la primera vez que doy una mala crítica y creo que algo está mal con esta rama de León.El plato de osos brasileños estaba muy seco y apenas podía comerlo, además de que estaba frío. Las papas fritas estaban crudas. . . Muy decepcionante. Supongo que el personal de cocina en esta sucursal no está haciendo lo que se supone que debe hacer o la calidad de León está disminuyendo.

We had lunch in this restaurant which specialises in lunch time foods such as boxes, pittas and burgers, as well as Greek food. I had a Lebanese Meze Box and the food was very tasty.

While visiting London for business, walking around looking for a place to eat I came across Leon on Cannon St.I looked inside and liked what I saw on the menu, chicken, and beef.I chose to go with this beef teriyaki bowl to go. Got to the hotel and starting eating food was very tasty and filling.

Aparte de que el personal tardaba años en atender porque estaban demasiado ocupados conversando con los clientes, mi primera experiencia en la calle Leon Fenchurch fue muy decepcionante. Pedí el chili con carne, que parecía una buena relación calidad-precio para 4. 95 hasta que lo tengo de vuelta a mi oficina. Apenas había más que una cucharada de salsa del desierto, que era insuficiente para la cantidad de arroz que, a su vez, no era mucho. ¡Todavía me sentía realmente hambriento y me hubiera gustado haber ido a Wasabi para un curry de Katsu! ¡No volveré a visitar! ! !

Absolutely does what it says on the box. On a cold December morning a pig on a blanket and a cortado is worth it.

This Leon is close to my work so I’m a regular

I had my usual Halloumi wrap, but this one had one small sad piece of cheese swamped in a massive piece of bread. Usually a big fan of Leon's - but not this outlet!

Staff were great; Vincento was patient and helpful while we spent ages deciding what we wanted. Food excellent, love the quality and company ethos of healthy, tasty, environmentally responsible, quick food. Have visited a number of branches and very impressed with the consistent great customer service from all of them.

It does good wholesome takeaways that are tasty and healthy. Great formula for city centre lunch spot

Si te gusta la comida caliente, luke café y gente miserable tibia sirve, entonces este es el lugar para ti. Deberían tener un cartel para explicar que se necesita un microondas para darle su desayuno una especie de calidez, una pizca también podrían utilizar para el servicio. Y me doy cuenta de que en esta sociedad de litigios no debería ser servido café demasiado caliente para quemar la lengua, pero he tenido más calor batidos. El mejor consejo - ir a ningún otro sitio. . .

Leon is a very nice fast quality food concept. Like both the menue and the price level. But there are limited seating at this venue, so some waiting might be included in your plans. Service minded staff!

I really like Leon, fast service, delicious and wholesome food, inexpensive. Caters for all sorts of allergies, there are always Gluten Free options, vegetarian, dairy free

Nous ne connaissions pas cette chaine mais nous avons été conquis. En effet,les plats sont diversifiés et bons. Le repas est plutôt équilibré et savoureux,le personnel est aussi très agréable.

I had a Chicken Aioli rice box; sorry - it should have been a rice box with a little bit of chicken. This came with a salad slaw and was tasty at £6.95 eat-in.

Avevo scoperto questa catena di fast food prima di venire a Londra e avevo deciso di provarla assolutamente. Di quel poco che ho potuto assaggiare non sono mai rimasta delusa! In questa sede ho preso il chicken, lemon & olive tagine (tagine di pollo, limone e olive) con riso integrale (e anche ceci, cosa non precisata nella descrizione), il tutto speziato con cumino, cannella e curcuma: davvero buono e saporito, senza eccedere in sale e condimenti grassi :D propone box di piatti caldi, ma anche insalate e wrap. Sicuramente al momento promosso per aver rispettato le mie alte aspettative, spero di poterlo provare ancora in futuro, magari anche in Italia :D

Siempre es bueno para un opciones más saludables de comida rápida. buenas opciones vegetarianas. Siempre me gusta el café en León y como que no te cobran más para cenar. El servidor aquí fue un poco raro por coger mi taza reutilizable y dijo que tenía que pedir el barista así que no y dijo que estaba bien.

Ottima opzione in zona St. Paul, Monument, London Bridge, ma ne troverete diversi sparsi per la città. Si tratta di un fast food che offre piatti molto gustosi (ben più sani e saporiti dei soliti panini o dei fritti) e che guarda con un occhio alla salute e con l'altro alla sostenibilità ambientale.

Unfortunately due to the devastation of having bitten into a Fish wrap after ordering a Halloumi wrap, I can only good this branch a 1 star review. I went in after the lunch time rush and there were 3 staff members behind the till, only 1 was required at the time, as I was the only person in the shop making a purchase.Ordered a halloumi wrap to take away, when I returned to my office and took abite, it was clear it was not vegetarian that was in my mouth. I felt sick and awful as eating meat is against my ethical views and religion. Extremely disappointed by the experience and that I now contributed to fish being caught and served as food.I called and the lady that addressed my complaint was very sympathetic so I am grateful. Still the experience can not be forgotten.

We were in a need of a tasty snack and Leon certainly provided it. I had a vegetarian Falafel/sweet potato meal with Rice and my partner enjoyed Chicken rice with a side of oven baked potato crisps. Plenty to eat, nicely spiced, good balance of ingredients and a wide selection of beverages to choose from.

Nice choices of healthy and gluten free lunches. Surprised that their coffee was OK. Good place for a quick meal.

What keeps me coming back here is the food and the service. I like the relatively healthy options - both vegetarian, such as the halloumi wrap or the black bean hot box, as well as non-veg (although my issues with the meat options served here is that for an establishment promoting healthy eating they have neglected to address sustainability and animal-welfare). I find the service to generally be friendly and welcoming but that's probably also because I'm a regular and I know some of the staff now. Generally the food is bagged quickly for me - I always do takeaway - although on occasion I've had some longish waits. There's not a lot of table space to eat-in here and frankly it's a bit of a loud and busy environment so doesn't particularly invite you to relax and linger, anyway.This branch has recently been refurbished and is looking brighter and fresher and overall a nicer place to visit, even if for a quick order and go.

Leon is located 1 minute from Cannon Street station. I visited for a bite to eat and hot drink. The hot chocolate was ghastly! it was far from a richly creamy taste but I drank most to be polite. Dinner was the Sweet Potato Falafel Hot Box that was quite dry. The best part was the portion of avocado for an extra £1.00. The meals are more lunch and lights bites not substantial for dinner.

People always praise Leon and I see plenty of lunches consumed form this place in the office.Had a fish wrap - pretty standard and to be honest I would have preferred a cheap frozen fish finger sarnie. Didn't taste very good at all, bread was chewy. Further, I fell ill shortly after eating. Friend told me to check the food hygiene ratings online on the off chance. Was surprised to find that it is ranked at 2 - for a well known chain with good reputation pretty bad. Not necessarily surprised I felt ill then.

As much as I like Leon, this is by far the worst branch in terms of the standard of service. Waiting for salad for 10+ minutes whilst the customer behind you gets exactly the same straight away is just not something you would expect of a takeaway. On multiple occasions staff "forgot" about my order completely. There are far better (and quicker) places to eat in this area.

We were looking for a fast take-out dinner/lunch and entered Leon, thinking about having a nice chicken/chorizo meal but were a bit disappointed about the freshness of the ingredients and the huge amount of dried rice piled at the bottom of our boxes.

Small place on canon street where you can grab a quick take away lunch or grab a quick bite. Good thing is good amount of veggie and healthy options are available. recommendation is Wraps

Good staff, nice fish finger wrap - but all the staff are yelling loudly including from back of house - it's like an emergency situation ! And I suspect this is not because of the roadworks outside - this is the noisiest food place I've been in in London !!! Please review sound levels in here - because customers are yelling here too - contagious ?!?!

Tasty healthy food, lots of gluten free choices, delicious gluten free cakes. Good fast service, tea comes in a china cup. I think it could be a little cheaper.

Great little place - expensive for what you get. About £7 for meatballs rice and salad. But it is London.

I'm a huge fan of Leon and have been to several around London. Unfortunately my local one is the on Cannan Street.I find the staff alittle rude and have to wait longer than you'd expect for fast food i.e. up to 10 mins.....! Generally the staff are clueless and i had a particularly rude/incompetent lady serving me today which has compelled me to finally write a review after numerous errors, mistakes and a general feeling that the customer is an inconvenience and interrupts their chats and 'banter'...Sorry Leon.....this branch is not up to par!

I love Leon.the food are freshly made and very yummy. I had to wait a bit though as I had the lamb kofta but it was very yummy and worth the wait. It was very light too and didn't feel stuffed. Will definitely be visiting again.

I have ordered an club box, the meat is big, has tasty and flavour. It took me less than 1 minute to get my order done, very fast service.

Next to Canon st. Station this is fast food with variety, healthy options. Interesting salads lots of choice of meats with salad and rice. I had morrocan meatballs with salad and rice. Flavoursome fresh and spicy.

Leon has nice healthy and less healthy and vegetarian foods. Everything is fresh and tasty. Great variety of drinks and deserts too. Service is fast and is fairly inexpensive comparing to other fast food chains. Mains 4-7£ (burger, wraps, salads)

Ideal for a quick snack on the go but much nicer than fast food chains, particularly good was the friendly welcome. I recommend the chargrilled chicken wrap. Will visit again.

Small restaurant and take away. Set menu across all branches. Food is tasty and service is always quick.

Popped in for a lunch with a colleague. I had the halloumi wrap and he had the chicken sandwich. Halloumi wrap very small and not very warm. The chicken sandwich was not cooked enough and unfortunately was not eaten. We sat in the restaurant and after 3 or 4 occasions of water falling onto my head , arm and table from the aircon we moved. Why have tables under the air con vents in the ceiling if it is going to drip onto clients and their food.Left dissapointed and I'm usually a fan of Leons

Grabbed a chicken hot box from Leon for lunch along with some baked chips and a lime & ginger juice. Food was prepared and handed over in less than a minute. The chilli, chimichurri, aioli and tarragon spices come as an additive to be poured over. Great tasting food. Bit pricey as the meal cost £11.50. Bunch of baked chips at £2.20 is indeed an overpriced item. Guess that's the price to pay for eating at a central London fast food takeaway. Will try again for the taste.

I came across Leon, after getting lost looking for a particular address nearby. Lovely coffee and an array of healthy breakfast options (went there at 11am) as well as a full breakfast in a pot! A lovely little place with very helpful staff and the cleanest toilets in London.Well worth a visit!

My friend had the Lamb Kofte, the other a grilled halloumi wrap a candle I went for a green chicken curry. All were tasty, healthy and ingredients clearly marked. Great for food intolerance sufferers.

Do not go to this restaurant, how they can charge over £8 for a chicken burger (that was tasteless and had 2 small bites of chicken in it - the majority of the filling was salad) together with lukewarm chips and a drink is beyond me. Bought an additional chocolate brownie for £2 that was the most disgusting chocolate brownie I've ever tasted (threw most of it away).You will actually get a better chicken burger (chicken legend) from the McDonald's up the road, at least it actually has some chicken in it, and it's half the price!AVOID AVOID AVOID

This small chain of fast food restaurants focuses on quality ingredients and taste. The Morrocan meatballs and rice, chicken aioli salad, great hot chocolate (real flakes of ahocolate) make these places worth a detour. Not all that cheap but very good. The staff are always friendly and amazingly enthusiastic

Came here last week for breakfast, with my eldest brother. I didn't have much experience of eating at Leon's before, but knew the brand well through a family connection and have given several of its recipe books as Christmas Presents in the past.I had the chicken burger, which although I don't normally like, I was recommended it. It was extremely good and I was amazed at the speed by which this fresh tasting and succulent burger was produced! I went back to the counter and ordered the Halloumi wrap. I LOVE Halloumi and this was an a excellent choice! Superb wrap, again produced dazzlingly quickly and it tasted fantastic. The staff were very friendly, happy to answer all and any questions. The store layout was fine, although I did notice a little bit of peeling wallpaper near the ceiling. I pointed this out to the staff, so hopefully it will be resolved quickly.All in all, I always get a guilty feeling eating fast food. However with Leon, that feeling has gone! It is so healthy and fast, that if find it hard to believe we haven't had a similar chain flourish in this country in the past. So, next time you fancy some fast food, think healthy, think Leon.

Went here on recommendation by a work colleague who has bought the breakfast pot a few times. I had the full english breakfast pot, consists of an egg at the bottom, sausage cut up, bacon cut up and tomatoes and beans. Really really tasty. Not too much either if you dont like a proper full english.And if you buy it with a coffee you get it all for £3.95 - bargain!

My mother has celiacs disease and was very pleased with her food at Leon. You order at the counter and it is brought out to you pretty quickly. Very friendly service and healthy food. Hot beverages and gluten free desserts available also.

I ordered a chicken and rice meal. I was eating it and suddenly crunched something hard, and it was a largish splinter of chicken bone! I did not see it as it was all mashed up with the chicken and rice. I've found their food to be very bland and over-priced before so I won't be coming back after this incident.

On the way back to Cannon Street Station after a conference I was in need of a snack and this was handy. The decor is very trendy retro chic with a vaguely Mediterranean feel. There are a fair few tables, but only one was occupied. It's essentially a fancy take-away, an upmarket alternative to McDonalds et al. The menu is very much 'superfood' based with a heavy Spanish/Middle Eastern bias, but Asian dishes thrown in.Staff were friendly and efficient, with no laborious attempt at up-sizing the order. Food arrived quickly with the minimum of fuss.I ordered a Halloumi Wrap and it wasn't bad. The cheese was a little over grilled for my liking, but the salad ingredients tasted fresh and the odd pink sauce wasn't unpleasant. Better than your average burger, but not stunning.Prices a little dearer than some other fast food places, but probably reflected in the quality.I'd go back if i was hungry and in the area, but wouldn't make a special journey.Decent, but not that special.

Probably the worst 'bacon muffin' I have EVER eaten.... Tasteless, dry, appeared to have compulsory 'ketchup' (using quote marks as I really wasn't sure!) and despite waiting some considerable time for it lukewarm. Tea was the only mitigating thing. Will NEVER return

This place is ALWAYS busy. Wanted to see what was so good so I tried the vegetable option which was good but the chicken was excellent. The ginger and lime drink is just as good. A good place to stop by for lunch/quick meal.

The staff are some of the friendliest I've seen in the City - which is worth a huge amount.However, after trying Leon several times and wanting to really like it, I'm afraid I find the food very bland and really not enjoyable at all.The chicken burger looked delicious but was devoid of any flavour (at all!) and the various other things I've had have been pretty much the same. Its a huge pity.... I would love to love it!

Half past eight at night in the City of London with 4 hungry crew members having just completed 8 hours hard work and not much time to grab something to eat before getting back to work.......... Oh please let there be an alternative to sandwich shops or McBurger..........The shining Leon sign was like a beacon in the night. Only one of my crew had eaten in Leon before but the others didn't hesitate in joining us for the healthy option. As long as it can fill the crew up as they have another 4 hours work to go back to.........We were greeted by genuinely happy, friendly staff who gave us plenty of time to choose. Our freshly served food was brought to our table promptly and they were happy to help when we kept adding more to our order.These people are genuinely friendly and helpful. They spotted that I had dropped my bank card and brought it straight to my attention. The food tastes good and filling. It also just somehow feels so healthy - food that sets you up for the rest of a tough day.I've changed my mind - I need my coffee to go........ no problem, lets put it in a take away cup for you.Wow, I feel like I have dropped in at a friends kitchen. Those guys are so nice.So how good is Leon? Am I deluded? Well I might be but the two guys with me who had never had a taste of Leon seem to now be fans of this restaurant chain.Why do I like Leon so much? It is simple. Yes it is simple, good, healthy food and simply the best, happiest staff you are likely to meet in London.I wish there were more Leon's as they offer genuinely good food and a friendly smile but then again I hope they don't grow too big and too corporate and loose their taste and quality.

I come here for lunch a lot and am never disappointed, even though it can be a bit pricey. However, when I once found there was hardly any chicken in my green curry not only did I get another one but also a voucher for a free meal. That's what I call first class service.

I ordered the salmon muffin - it was the worst sandwich I have ever tried. Stale bread, no sauce and the smallest off cut of salmon I have ever seen. The driest thing ever! I complained and asked for a replacement. They just put more salmon in the dry sandwich. I gave up and left it in the end. I'd never eat there again - their natural fast food idea is a good one but executed so badly I'd rather eat in McDonalds. Over priced and poor all round! The Leon I went to was Kingscross but as this is a chain I'd give them all a wide birth!! Dissapointed and hungry :(

I visited this mini-chain restaurant in the City for breakfast. The staff recommended a brunch pot - eggs and ham, yummy. They'd run out of toast, and offered me a free cake of my choice to make up for it. I went for the lemon shortbread - very nice too. All in all, with free wi-fi and a huge latte, it was a brilliant start to the day. Full marks to the staff - good to see friendly faces in the heart of the City.
