LEON - Brighton in Brighton and Hove

I have been a great fan of your food,but was turned off with your big breakfast. The halloumi was as hard as a cardboard, and the baked beans was dry,nearly didn't have sauce to it.In general,it was like pre arranged the night before in a box,and heated on a microwave upon delivery. The only one freshly cooked was the sausage,egg and mushrooms.(well the mushrooms were kind of tough, too.) I am someone who won't leave bad reviews and would honestly give compliments when it is due.the rest of your food is good,not just this one.

Came for a coffee and buttered toast. Toast (unusually) came with virtually no butter. Asked for it to be buttered and the staff gave me a little tub of butter. Perfect and a Happy Customer 😀

Pretty good :) My friend recommend this place and we went together. I was pleasantly surprised when I saw that the menu is quite healthy, compared to other fast food places. I got the Korean Chicken Wrap and it had a lot of vegetables and tasted good. I also tried the baked fries. They were good too. This places definitely solves your hunger 👍 Nothing too special though 🤔

Fast food and good quality. Fast service and very friendly. To visit often if you are in a hurry for lunch.

Food was ok the eggs were way over done, tasted like they been cooked a while. Hash browns were hard. Not sure if a lighting problem or is meant to be flashing but was right in my face. Hot chocolate was very tasty and so was the orange juice.

1st time in a Leon and I see two breakfast deals I liked on picture one in a pot and one on a plate.the one I ordered was in a cup , the size off the cup is half size of coffee cup !! It was nice idea on paper but when it arrived faster than my cup of tea was made it tells you that £4.29. Is clearly not worth the money and urge people to go for the plated breakfast . It cost me with a tea £4.99 I'm finished now and off to get something to eat as still hungry . Steve with his honest opinion .

I LOVE Leon. Always been very happy with it, everything is very tasty, good quality, really nice options, exactly my kinds of things. Incredible for vegans and vegetarians. Also really reasonable prices… such a good choice.

Just ordered on deliveroo and I'm really not happy! Not only was the food stone cold. The halloumi bap literally looks like it was thrown together by a blind man with no hands. It's inedible. Bun is not even cooked. Halloumi thinner than a sheet of tissue.

The best way to achieve customer satisfaction is to do what is customary in this part of the world and play evil passive-aggressive mind games with your customers. Nasty passive-aggressive games are normal in Brighton but there's someone who works in here who is particularly loud mouthed and obnoxious. I'm not saying it's the fault of Leon it's just a consequence of opening a place in nasty Brighton.

I've frequented this establishment for my late-night takeaways numerous times. Not only is it one of the latest good places to close, but the food it offers is refreshingly different from the typical, uninspiring takeaway options. While I can't vouch for its healthiness, it certainly appears to be a healthier alternative, and most importantly, it's undeniably tastier. I'll continue to patronize this place for my late dinners without a doubt.

My experience with this Leon’s Brighton is always pleasant and satisfying as train a lot and there eat a lot of specific dietary needs therefore Leon’s cater to this and that’s why I enjoy it so much and as for the culture and customer service it has always been good and polite as well as positive I have always enjoyed kiaras polite and friendly service and always catered to any requirements I have requested in my visits

Hello Leon, I have been coming to Leon Brighton since 2016 I walk 60 minutes every day to keep fit and I reward myself with Leon when I arrive in the centre, I have watch Leon change over the years and no always for the better, but recently I had the pleasure of Meeting the new manager, who found out I came to Leon daily and gave me a coffee on the house and in 8 years no one has ever given me one, NEVER…. And now he gives me a 10% discount which he doesn’t need to do but I appreciate it as it shows that he sees my loyalty, I have now had many conversations with Rafael, and this man has his eye on the prize in Leon, and him and the assistant manager Kiara they make an incredible team and will be a force to be reckoned with, I’ve now been watching both managers implement new ideas which have brought Leon into 2024, having the giant table in the centre is a great idea and the strip lights in the windows are incredible and finally brings Leon back into the Brighton community as every other restaurant has lights outside and in their windows, I haven’t seen it this busy for a long time, the staff seem happy it’s a great atmosphere once again.. Please keep it up you are doing so well, Alan

The chicken wrap tastes good, just terribly hot and the meat is fried on a crumb. The chicken burger was cold, disgusting in taste with a large piece of chewy meat. Today's experience did not convince us of another visit.

The new manager is just what the doctor ordered, Leon always had a good feel but with this new manager he understands what service is….

Where to start....🤮 breakfast in cardboard. Bacon cold, rubbery, halloumi cold and rubbery. Coffee order wrong, cappuccino cold. Wood Cutlery cuts nothing. Use of heat lamps must be popular in that kitchen. If you are desperate i guess it is passable. But i wouldn't eat here again of you paid me...

Not that exciting, the staff is always chatting, but the previous staff was way better. It is more a place to get ur meal on the go.

I bought an egg, bacon and spinach muffin on Saturday and the bacon was completely grey, and cold. Two small rounds of thick 'bacon' that weren't edible, more like tough sliced pork (with a white fat edging) than bacon. It put me off the whole roll and is the first time I haven't been able to eat Leon food.

Absolutely delicious pit stop, great place to go during a busy day out shopping around Brighton! I had a yummy chicken wrap along with a coffee. The staff complimented me on my jewellery. Loved the smiles from behind the counter. The place as a whole has a nice atmosphere for a little solo lunch break.

I love Leon. It's my to-go-to fast food of choice, I would a hundred procent choose Leon any time over any other fast food place. Not sure what else to write about. If you are looking for a sign to go here. I hope this review will be it.

are the waffle type chips supposed to be luke warm and soggy? if so, terrible, if not, terrible.

Get the kid's meals as they work out much cheaper and better value for money. And you get peas and tomatoes in the box.

Very friendly staff and lots of gluten free choice. The food was brilliant value and very tasty.

So we tried a different 'Leon' after the 1st disastrous visit and only did because we were given a gift card to rate it again. I scored this based on this visit. Considering the hot wrap was made to order, it was cold. Hot chocolate by definition is hot, not like warm. Service is non existence, thats not a personal thing, its how the business is set up when ordering on the self-service pad. There is zero atmosphere, not even background music. We've given it 2 tries and both epic fails. We definitely won't eat at a Leon again.

Tasteless food, had to put my sourdough muffin together myself, ordered a big breakfast for my partner which was poor at best. I gave up and didn't eat my muffin as it was so tasteless and hard to eat. We won't be returning

The staff don’t give too rats. They are a fast food chain but charging stupid money for what they serve. There’s always just something bland about there food which is stupid considering what they are charging. Tbh this place is just a scam the food always sucks and is so bad the staff are always are so unbothered there’s just no point in this being a shop. Chicken can be pink here it’s just ridiculous. Korean chicken wrap was almost cold when handed to me. They did a second one, after I complained. Hot. Stodgy breadcrumb mass. What chicken? Caribbean Box was better. Almost nice. The baked fries - no crisp about them.... warm and stodgy. Can fast food be good food.... not for my visit :-(

Used to be a regular at Leon Brighton and even met John Vincent in there one time. So sad to see a brand destroyed by new owners. Waited 10mins for a cold wrap. No atmosphere. Won’t be back 😢

Just wanted to commend the team. My daughter accidentally dropped half of her breakfast muffin and they couldn’t have been more helpful even though they were changing over to the lunch menu. Plus we both thought the food was delicious.

25/6/23.Delivery.Chicken Burger Patty covered 1/2 the Bun...AND is 1/2 the Thickness in the photo in JustEat App.Chicken Bites were tiny,looked nothing like the photo and seriously overpriced.100grams of chicken for £5? Food arrived COLD and Burger was SOGGY! Only good thing was the Dbl Choco Cookie.I would pay £3 alone for that. 26/6/23.Just Eat offered a refund of £7.65 on an order of £11.30. 27/6/23.LEON offered refund & apology.

Heathly fast food-whats not to like?

Uber food delivery portion sizes have been cut, and are not close to an adequate meal size. When I called to query this the manager was defensive, told me I could not be correct in this assessment, and accused me of being rude when I said I felt I wasn't being listened to. Customer services then sent me a long and condescending email about how my objection could not be accurate. Such a waste of time, energy and money. 1 week later... Following this review Leon left a comment offering a refund. This never arrived and I have no way to follow it up.

I'm gonna be real, LEON is sick. I work in Churchill Square and since trying LEON once, I come in everyday on my break and eat my lunch there. Staff are friendly, the shop is always clean and the atmosphere is phenomenal. I pre-order my food using the LEON app so I can collect it exactly when my break starts, and I was greeted by a member of staff who said my name and it made me feel like a high level exec employee LOL. As well as being a student, the student discount at LEON, 25%, makes it really affordable. So yeah LEON is really good, providing fast healthy food that doesn't break the bank. Highly recommend especially if you work in Churchill Square. 🙏🙏

Dead on a Friday night, save for a few delivery guys. The gluten free chicken nuggets were dead too. It's a looooong time since those things were cooked. No service, because you order via a touchscreen now.

Takeaway alert - my family purchased 4 meals for my birthday and the portions were significantly reduced from a few weeks ago and bore little resemblance to the photos in the menu. Eg, we counted just 4 pumpkin seeds in one dish. The slaw had gone off and was binned. We ended up going to Sainsbury's to supplement the meal. Yes, we called the outlet to register our complaint. but the Staff member was defensive and rude. Not much of a birthday celebration 😕 Further information ad requested: we ordered 3 Aioli Chicken and 1 Caribbean Chicken, 1 slaw. All the portions were small, leading to a breakdown in behaviours the next day from our neuro-diverse son, who woke up hungry. The slaw was rancid. The 4 pumpkin seeds provided on one Aioli dish did not match the advertised product. The Staff member who took the call from my daughter appears to need further training to learn how to de-escalate justified complaints instead of falsly accusing them of rudeness when they refuse to be fobbed off. I understand a full refund has now been offered, but the situation should never have allowed to occur in the first place, let alone escalate to this point.

On its wall, it says "why can't fast foodbe food food". They certainly can find the answer from themselves.

Usually love the vegan burger, this time I couldn't enjoy it. Both burger and chips came cold. The cheese wasn't melting, looked like taken straight out of the fridge and put on the bun. Very disappointed for the price I've paid.

The portion size has reduced ridiculously compared to few months ago! Not worth the price.

Food is ok, atmosphere is plaeasant. The fries are kind of soggy and the chicken burger is pretty plain, nothing special for the price you pay. The staff is friendly and the service is pretty quick.

Fun, friendly and fast. I recommend this branch of Leon in Brighton due to the friendly service from the staff and the tasty food available. We visited for lunch and ordering was very easy through using the ordering kiosk. The food was so tasty, and full of flavour. The portion sizes of the rice boxes was great and the waffle fries were so delicious, shame we didn’t have more! Condiments and sauces were all available and a health conscious selection of drinks are offered on the menu. Rustic style interior and plenty of seating, definitely would recommend to others and we will go again. Pricing is slightly steep but the portion sizes are fair so I’m not overly disappointed in that aspect. It is also a designated refill location for your water bottle and free tap water is offered. This was attractive and we used this, so thank you for offering this and caring for the environment and your local customers!

Love Leon food but finding a hair in each of TWO separate dishes today was disgusting. Servers didn’t really seem to care either and didn’t offer a refund, I had to ask. Won’t eat here again

I really hope his house plant the little girl planted in the park lived, but we all know that even in America and in that soil it's unlikely. I never knew it was a change what a hit. I would have more themed cocktails rather than ginger shots that don't even get you tipsy even if you have 11. Thomas was right about it but the food is flavourful and it's reasurrance to know you can buy a pot of rice to eat next to a photocopier these days and it's the totally norm. I really think more round sun glasses on the te would be a hit. 😎🪭🆒

Came here because i thought it looked nice. Me and my mum bought a rice box each. Hers was fine (Satay chicken rice box) But mine.. was supposed to be “chilli chicken” (advertised as a ‘hot box’) it was nice, but there was just 0 chilli. Not only did the box just come as normal chicken, you had to pour a pot of “chilli sauce” onto your chicken and rice. Which is understandable for people who don’t want too much spice, but for me who was expecting chilli chicken, I wasn’t delighted. The potato waffle fries were more spicy than the chilli chicken and these two box meals priced together at £20.58 - Also very dirty tables

Nice place to just sit and chill in, right in the heart of town. Most people just people watch at the windows or are working on their Laptops. Good nutritious hearty food, a selection of drinks to suit everyone and the atmosphere is very welcoming, friendly and laid back. The staff are great and also are very patient with the kids.

This was my go-to for vegan options or a chill out with coffee. But the digital ordering has made service very slow, I waited 10m for a black coffee, and it's just not a friendly space. I guess a reminder to support my local independent coffee shop instead

Great tasting food and excellent customer service. Uber Eats messed up by allowing me to order the cheesy fries when they weren’t in stock, I got a call soon after informing me that they weren’t available, I got regular fries instead but they upgraded to large and gave me free jalapeños and extra sauce. I recommend the halloumi wrap.

First time coming here and I spent £6.50 for the saddest looking wrap in town. A slither of lettuce more sauce and wrap than filling. Don’t bother

Ok so I have a few issues with this place, the food itself is delicious HOWEVER it can NEVER keep its heat. The food goes cold extremely fast and their waffle fries ALWAYS tend to be soggy and cold.... THis is a great shame as the flavour is there but they need to figure out their packaging to retain the temperature of the food. Also please cook the waffle fries to order as they have so much potential to be AMAZING. Otherwise staff-wise they are all lovely in there and take their time to explain everything on the menu.

They sent me through Deliveroo not freshly made items, most likely they were stored there for few days. The edges of chicken were dry, fries were very cold like both items were made few days ago and they just warmed it a bit before sending. Therefore im concerned of health and safety issues going on at leon if they just reheat the food instead of making it fresh. The manager was rude, could not handle it better but to attack me instead. Filed a complaint to the Brighton Council

I mean also a bitt expensive but you cant go wrong with cheesey baked chips

I am very disappointed. I have been coming here for years for their gluten free burger and now it's not an option anymore. And they don't sell the matcha latte either anymore. Since I am allergic to a lot of things which includes gluten and coffee it is very hard for me to eat out and Leon was always the first option for me, but not anymore.

Popped in this evening at 8pm to grab a quick coffee . The lady on the till area was clearly busy on her phone , doing some 'calculations' , not a problem, happy to wait a few minutes, but she never put her head up from her phone , so I prompted with a "hi", to be met with a very disgruntled "yes?" Just a really rude and disappointing service, that no one deserves really .

I got the chicken korma with waffle chips on the side. It was really really nice and the slaw was phenomenal. However I would have liked more than 4 pieces of chicken. It was only £7 so understandable that they have to cut corners to keep the price down. Overall really nice

It's a Leon! If you like Leon then you'll like Leon Brighton. Much, much smaller than the Oxford branch but all the same offerings. No water tap, you have to ask at the counter.

First time visiting and won't be the last. The food was excellent quality and really quick service. Prices were reasonable for especially how great the quality of the food is. Staff were absolutely exceptional and so friendly and helpful.

Love the grilled halloumi wrap at Leon, it's always absolutely delicious and such great value for money!

The staff seemed overwhelmed with the orders. Very slow with a halloumi wrap, the wrap fell apart when I tried to eat it. The lemon slice was as good as always.

Great breakfast options, shakshuka was very tasty as was the veg breakfast box. Food tasted fresh and flavoursome and arrived quickly. We enquired about the food being cooked separately from the meat items and was told its all prepared separately which is great to hear as there aren't many halal breakfast places in the area. The guy that served us was informative and helpful. Was our first time trying leon and will definitely return.

The burgers and sides were nice, but the burgers arrived cold yesterday. One of our sides was missing (the fries that we ordered with my vegan love burger) My friend's sides were in the bag, so he let me share his. I Wouldn't order a takeaway from there again, as it's a bit annoying being charged for something we didn't receive and the burgers being cold. I'd consider eating inside though, as the food itself was nice and it would be easier to rectify those issues if we were eating in Leon

I've been coming to Leon for a while for lunch now after my usual place decided to scale back their gluten free options (leaving me with only 1). However Leon have plenty on offer when it comes to gluten free options and the staff were incredibly helpful when I didn't know what was OK for me to eat by pointing out all the options that are gluten free (which for the first time is the majority of the menu rather then the minority). I absolutely love this place and I think the prices are very fair too. I also want to add a note from my wife "Please serve larger portions!" This is the only negative from us but that comes from the fact the food is so good we want more of it! I would suggest maybe options to have a large or standard version, especially of the more popular options as an idea. I recommend this place to everyone since discovering it and the options available. Best fast food place in Brighton, if only they had a restaurant too! Haha

Awful, misleading meal deal at £3.25 as a side + burger at £6.00.The hapless server mixed my order. Food was luke warm to cold. Coffee drinkable. Better saver meal deal at McD for £3.17, approx two thirds less. Why go there? Will give it a wide berth.
