LEON in Brighton and Hove

Shoutout to Lily the manager who was very friendly and made an extra effort to make me feel comfortable. The halloumi wrap was delicious!!

Just ordered on deliveroo and I'm really not happy! Not only was the food stone cold. The halloumi bap literally looks like it was thrown together by a blind man with no hands. It's inedible. Bun is not even cooked. Halloumi thinner than a sheet of tissue.

Hello Leon, I have been coming to Leon Brighton since 2016 I walk 60 minutes every day to keep fit and I reward myself with Leon when I arrive in the centre, I have watch Leon change over the years and no always for the better, but recently I had the pleasure of Meeting the new manager, who found out I came to Leon daily and gave me a coffee on the house and in 8 years no one has ever given me one, NEVER…. And now he gives me a 10% discount which he doesn’t need to do but I appreciate it as it shows that he sees my loyalty, I have now had many conversations with Rafael, and this man has his eye on the prize in Leon, and him and the assistant manager Kiara they make an incredible team and will be a force to be reckoned with, I’ve now been watching both managers implement new ideas which have brought Leon into 2024, having the giant table in the centre is a great idea and the strip lights in the windows are incredible and finally brings Leon back into the Brighton community as every other restaurant has lights outside and in their windows, I haven’t seen it this busy for a long time, the staff seem happy it’s a great atmosphere once again.. Not that exciting, the staff is always chatting, but the previous staff was way better. It is more a place to get ur meal on the go.

My first ever Leon trip, and won’t be my last! Nice quick lunch, plenty to choose from. Had a great butternut squash salad and fries. Nice to see some good flavours and veggie options.

Helpful staff and clean toilets. I had always been a fan of Leon, frequenting regularly, the many branches in London. Unfortunately, quality seems to have really gone down hill. The halloumi wrap I ordered today, bore no resemblance to the ones of yesteryear. I was able to hold it comfortably in one hand (like a cigarette such was it's size and weight). The foil was more copious than the wrap and the wrap in turn contained such limited filling so to render it nutritionally useless. I considered seeking a search warrant in order to find any halloumi.

We ordered this as a takeaway via just eat and I honestly would not waste your time. Driver only had a 3 min drive and all food was cold. When the food arrived most of the order was missing, reported it to just eat but called the restaurant too to inform them. I was first informed that as they were closing in 15 mins there wasn't much left so that could have been why all of our food did not show up, then the lady said she remembered my order and that they had made it fresh to order, it most certainly was not made fresh to order as it was cold and part of the chips actually felt uncooked. Terrible serive and food. It is really not that hard to read a ticket and put the food that was ordered into the bag.

What a disappointment. We dropped in for a snack and the food was inedible. We waited ages for our order. I could see it sitting on the counter while the woman behind the counter ignored it and served a number of delivery guys who arrived while we were waiting. I know they need to deliver fast but it was frustrating to see our order being ignored. When she eventually gave us our food - after I asked what the delay was - we found it was tepid and my chicken looked uncooked. We need up binning my food and sharing my partenere which while also tepid was lentils so safe to eat. I doubt I will go there again.

Don’t get me wrong, Leon on the whole is good: the food is wholesome and tasty IF you go to the right branch. Brighton is an absolute disgrace. Filthy tables. I mean filthy. Toilets are always out of order and the staff…they couldn’t care if they were there or waiting at a bus stop. They don’t give a crap about anyone. I feel like I’m talking to someone utterly dead behind the eyes. And the food often arrives semi warm. And you’re charged for the privilege. Avoid if you can. Try itsu down the road.

Food hot and tasty as always. Healthy food - whole grain rice, free range chicken etc Chip option is crispy potato waffley things with vegan cheese. Friendly welcoming staff.

We ate here as a group of ten yesterday. The staff were really lovely and the food was good. I had a delicious burger and only realised once we had left that it was vegan. I will definitely come here instead of other burger retailers in future. Staff happily refilled our water bottles which was great as it was a beautifully hot day in Brighton.

Usually the food is pleasant enough whether meat or non meat. However I ordered the Korean Burger and it literally delivered full of runny Korean style mayonnaise- it was literally pouring out and ran all over my coat and the tables making an awful mess and this continued everytime I picked it up it was dripping everywhere. The taste was fine but it was obviously not checked or drained prior to being packed and served. Please try harder next time

Before lockdown I can recall frequent visits to this store with plenty of high quality choices and really excellent food. Following my visit yesterday it is blindingly obvious that the chain has been sold on. The choices are reduced, the taste is mediocre and the prices are ridiculous. Time to find another eatery unfortunately. From my perspective it was stodgy high priced food.
