We really enjoyed a Sunday lunch carvery a couple of weeks ago. The vegetable selection was excellent and tasty and the meat, yorkies and garnishes spot on. Dessert was fabulous too. Service excellent

Now under new ownership and in the process of becoming "The Riverside". Magnificent setting next to the River Severn. Lots of outdoor seating and an easy place to spend any sunny afternoon (or evening). Beer is great and the food is superb. Restaurant quality food at reasonable prices. I would highly recommend. If you are lucky you may spot kingfishers and I have seen an otter in the carpark when it was flooded.

We stayed for 2 nights. Our room had a balcony outside with a view over the river and was a fair size and spotlessly clean. We ate in the restaurant both nights and had lovely food both times. The menu was not huge but there was a fair selection, we had cod loin one night and duck breast the other. Both beautifully cooked. There was a good cooked breakfast too. All the staff we came in contact with were extremely friendly and we would recommend it to anyone looking for a small hotel in a country setting but not too far from the city of Worcester. We certainly intend to return.

Stay here for two nights. Great welcome when we arrived. Lovely location, room spacious and spotlessly clean., balcony with views of the river. We ate in the bar on both evening, the food was lovely and reasonably priced. Staff extremely friendly and gave a great service. Thorough recommend a stay there.

We used the pub twice whilst walking along the River Severn. Its a fantastic pub, in a great riverside location and with very friendly staff. Great food served very well by hard working staff too! Would thoroughly recommend and will re-visit.

Stayed here for a few days to visit the Cotswolds villages and relax by the river. Our room was spacious, spotlessly clean and comfortable...had everything we needed. The bathroom...although a little ‘tired’...was spacious and functional, especially Important when 2 women are sharing...plenty of shelving for all our ‘stuff’. Our room (no 9) had a balcony with table and chairs which overlooked the River Severn. Fabulous view to wake up to each morning and great to sit with a cuppa to watch the boats go by, bliss. We ate each evening in the restaurant, great choice, spacious room, tasty food and excellent service. There are a couple of pubs nearby (we thought we would make use of them if the food wasn’t up to much) but we did not need to, the food was delicious. We also made use of the onsite pub and enjoyed a few cocktails. We would highly recommend this super place...fabulous location, efficient & friendly staff and a great price.

We only had one evening meal here which was cooked to perfection at a reasonable price. You can eat inside or outside on the river bank.

We have visited and even stayed at the Lenchford on ocassions. It never fails to be great. We visited at lunchtime on quite a hot day so chose to sit outside on the patio. We ordered our drinks- 3 pints of Bombadier, lager and some shandies. Then chose various basket meals- burgers, fish goujons- all served with plenty of freshly cooked chips. Quality is excellent as is value. They were served in a very friendly manner. We built up a good rapport with the lady Serving us and the person behind the bar. They looked happy in their work perhaps a little shattered due to the hot weather but very friendly. This is a lovely place for lunchtime outings though having eaten in the restaurant in the past, I would recommend that you book. We will certainly be going back here again.

Upton is a bit of a desert for coffee shops. Mojotos sells hot drinks, cocktails and pizza plus other things. It has a great vibe. Sue is now in a small mobility scooter and the barmaid rushed to open the second door to let her in (thanks). We had 3 different hot drinks - all were tp notch. We will return.

Very quaint and friendly. Superb service. Freshest for breakfast. Creamy scrambles...the way they should be. Top quality bacon....cooked to perfection. Thumbs up for a top pad!

We eat here very frequently and has always been amazing. However, we ordered a meal for a family and half of the food was missing. When we called the response was ‘we are busy’ which we understand but not a great excuse for half a meal missing. The chip portion size used to be amazing but in the last few months, a portion of chips has been ridiculously small and poor quality. Burnt loaded fries and underdone bacon.

I've visited many restaurants in Paris, Rouen, Reims and Lille over the past two years including the Moulin Rouge and other hotspots. The food here and in particular the presentation and balance of flavours was superior to many of those. The Amuse bouche was mushroom with black truffle and pepper, excellent. Starter was six succulent escargot and Autumn chicken breast for the main all washed down with a glass of cabernet sauvigon. It was so good and I savoured every mouthful over the next hour. The service was better than experienced in France where waiting on is seen as a profession and not a weekend student job. Clearly someone has provided good training to the team as they knew their job without being intrusive and enhanced the dining experience. I had picked this Establishment for the night solely because of the restaurant and I was not dissapointed. The lack of Internet connection in room 16 would be annoying for many ant the TV was very small. That aside the room was comfortable, well coordinated and furnished nicely. Very clean and tidy. All staff I met were cheerful and helpful. Watch the parking on site as its somewhat haphazard with whit lines faded and confusing the hell out of you. I parked on the main road in the end as it was much easier. So in summation, if you want an excellent astronomical experience in great surroundings then book this restaurant/ hotel. The hotel us called COTFORD Hotel. I paid £99 for one night plus the cost of the meal naturally.
