We went here to celebrate me and my wife's birthday along with our daughter. I had booked online in the morning and asked about sitting in the courtyard near the pond and had asked if it was warm enough. When we arrived we were met by "The Grumpy Lady" I had read about on someone else's review. She knew nothing about our online booking and questions but we were early on a Monday evening, so, didn't struggle getting a table. The food was absolutely delicious. It's reasonably pricey but would have felt more reasonable if the Grumpy Lady was a bit warmer and less like we were a chore for her. We would still recommend going here, just don't expect a warm greeting if Grumpy Lady is working.

We always come here after a day at the beach. This time the staff was reduced on Holidays and services was really not as usual. Lady that attended us was really in a bad mood which for me with 2 kids after a long day was totally off. A little smile would have been amazing.

Excellent food and friendly staff

Fantastically amazing restaurant. The food is truly delicious, the atmosphere is perfect and the staff are amazing. I highly recommend this place as a must try if your in the area or definitely worth travelling to try the authentic Thai cuisine.

An easy place to recommend, good staff and food

After living in and travelling to Thailand for many years, I’m always worried authenticity won’t be there, but my guests and I enjoyed all the food we had, we tried 4 different dishes and all were delicious and plentiful. Service is second to none, friendly, attentive, happy people! Great ambience too. Only 1 tiny criticism…warm beer!! Please make sure they are ice cold. Maybe have cold glasses, or ice sleeves to keep the bottle cold. But other than that, 5 stars!! Will be back!

First time visiting and wont be returning. We had booked a table and on arrival they hadn't received our booking, I assume they hadn't updated their hard copy diary. It seemed like a big inconvenience to them; we had ordered prawn crackers and after 10 minutes still hadn't received them. After 40 minutes of sitting there, another table received their starters who sat down 20 minutes after us. The waitress realised and when asked how long the food will take they couldn't say so we cancelled the food and wanted to leave. They still tried to charge us for our drinks even though they hadn't processed our starters. Terrible customer service and very disappointing as we were looking forward to it.

Visited on a Sunday evening. Warm welcome, great menu options, lovely service and the food was absolutely delicious. We had a vegetable green curry (they were happy to accommodate my request to make it mild) and a lamb massaman curry which was rich and tasty. Would happily return.

We thoroughly enjoyed our evening here and can definitely recommend it. The food was absolutely delicious and the service outstanding. In particular, Jess, our main server, was so polite, genuine, friendly and smiling, and the hospitality overall was top class. A lovely ambience, too, with pleasing decor. We opted for the sharing menu A. Every single item was fabulous, and we cleared our plates, so well-deserved compliments to the chef. It's definitely all about the food, and although there were some lovely Thai beers, the wine list was limited, so I'd recommend to stick to a 100% Thai experience, and you will be impressed.

Our first visit was when it was lemongrass first was good but the second time we had an awful meal. We saw on Petersfield Post that it was taken over by new people. From start to finish it was an awful experience. Run by kids by the look of it, youngsters coming in & going out, vaping in the restaurant near the bar area. Young waitresses looked uninterested with us but rather check her phone every second. Retail (supermarket) wine sold at premium price which we refused to buy. No atmosphere what so ever and music too loud. The food, prawns tasteless, rice had a funny smell to it but the Thai red curry was really good one of the best I’ve had in a very long time. When we asked for the bill the young lady just slammed it on the table. There was no table service manners what so ever. It’s a shame because petersfield doesn’t have another Thai close by. I will wait until we hear good reviews from this place to head back there.

The food was lovely,me and my boyfriend went for a valentine's day meal here. The service wasn't to great but overall it was a great experience and we will probably go back

Nice food, the Thai Curry was good as was the Phad Thai. I think I'd go for chicken next time as the beef in the Thai curry was a bit chewy. I'm not sure I'd bother with the Tempura Prawns again, they were in a very thick coarse batter rather more like fish and chip shop batter than Tempura..... The starters in general were weaker than the mains. The staff are attentive without being overbearing. The restaurant itself is a slightly odd layout with lots of little areas to sit in.

Having eaten in and ordered a takeaway we can commend both. High St situation with public parking two minutes walk away. Busy even at 6pm so booking is recommended. Takeaways can be ordered by phone but sit down meals are probably better since the restaurant is smart and comfortable. The Thai specialities are well worth trying. But the menu is extensive featuring a wide choice of mild, spicy, vegetarian and pescatarian. Something for everyone. We spent around £30 per head not including alcohol. Worth a try! 👍🏼

Have eaten here many times over the past 10-15 yrs and generally never been disappointed. My last visit however changed that. The 'slop' of a curry that I was served looked rather more like something a baby would regurgitate than what I expected and the meat was chewy and arguably under-cooked. Then to top it all there was a service charge for 2 people eating on a mid-week night, when incidentally the Indian restaurant next door was full. If this is what this restaurant has sunk to then its a real shame.

Food wasn't that great very dry. And very little disappointed.

I'm not sure if this place has changed management just recently, but I've just ordered a takeaway and not impressed. Not one of the signature dishes stood out. Very bland and tasteless green curry, awfull, almost watery jungle curry, dry beef and chunks of chicken. No sign of real ingredients that matter in Thai food. No one was impressed it was very much a let down. Sorry lemon grass you've lost us as customers, so much better years ago when it was river kwai. So very disappointed.😞

Wonderful meal, five of us for evening meal and everything was wonderful - outstanding food, great atmosphere and service. My granddaughter particularly liked her green Thai curry and sticky rice.

The food is lovely and so well presented, always had good service and enjoyed our meals here.

Delicious, authentic Thai with great service.

I had never been here before and went with a friend. What can I say their food was beautiful and one of the best meals I had ever had. I went with others and every meal they had was gorgeous and they were all really happy. This restaurant is worthy of a five star review.

There is a problem with phone and internet currently which makes life very difficult for the lovely staff. They are still working as normal and tge apps still work. Please support them by dropping by to eat in or order takeaway. Delicious Thai food.

We stayed in Petersfield for 2 nights and ate at the Lemon Grass on a Friday night. The food was excellent, and the service was great. Fantastic place for a meal.

Great food and service, catered for our peanut allergy and vegan guests without a fuss. All the dishes were amazing, but the best dish was the king prawns!

If you are looking for an approachable introduction to Thai food and are in South England, then this is a particularly wonderful spot to dive into. Into. Staff is very hospitable, and will answer your questions. In turn. They also have plenty of vegetarian and vegan options!

Always amazing service - great food and no doubt one of the top two restaurants in Petersfield (along with the Malabon).

Went here for dinner while away for the weekend, the staff were very prompt and efficient, however they did get the order slightly wrong but we're quick to fix it. The food was really tasty and good size portions, loved the sunken tables.

Embarrassed to take friends here We were really disappointed with the standard of food and the price. We and our friend chose the sharing starters i) vegetarian here the tofu had been double cooked and was hard. The corn fritter was undercooked in the centre. ii) Seafood platter Calamari was undercooked, 3 mussels, 2 prawns and the sea bass , if that was what it was in bits. Tasteless. For £22 it was an outrageous price. My main course was luke warm and had to be sent back ...it was just reheated. Green curries just acceptable -tough chicken. Overall it was extremely embarrassing to have taken friends for a speacial meal out when they visited us. Had to ask to be moved as initially sat directly in path of air conditioning and it was cold! A shadow of it's former self. Food nice, but service was hopeless and staff just not interested. Ordered two glasses of wine and a beer turned up. Then one glass of wine on it's own followed by the other. Freezing blast of air from AC. Asked to have it turned down. Ignored. Hot plates put on table, but by the time the food appeared the plates were cold. Had I not been with a friend I would have refused to pay the service charge. Wont go back, unless new manager and staff installed.

Not great. Ordered mixed horderves and duck ped-ron. £40 and hardly no food and what was there was dry and over cooked. Waste of money.

Eaten in here before and it was lovely! Decided to have a Tuesday takeaway treat and all I can say is never again!! The only reason for the second star is because my other half could eat his....although all he got was a lamb shank and sauce for £16 (without the potato!). The lightly battered sweet and sour chicken - sauce was nice, chicken was wrapped in what looked and tasted like wet toilet roll (the light batter). The £6 side of yellow stir fried noodles was actually a greasy sloppy grey congealed lump that was completely inedible!! £56.33....what an absolute waste!

Food was nice, service was just service, very cold in the back where we were seated, service charge appalling, manager very rude when we asked for that to be removed, should be customer choice to tip. It does state at the bottom of your bill that you can ask for it to be removed!!!...

Aparently the food is really good but they have no clue about alergens leaving me unable to eat here

What a meal!! Went to celebrate husband's 50th birthday. Food did not disappoint. Service was amazing, and they even prepared a special pudding complete with candle and sang to him! Memorable evening, and food to die for! Will definately be going back.

I wasn't to sure what to expect from this restaurant as I've heard mixed reviews. We were seated very quickly and drink orders taken along with starters which was nice. The mains came out around 4-5 mins after we finished starters which was nice as we could let that go down. The main dishes were honestly incredible. I had a prawn stir fry dish and my partner had a chicken stir fry dish. Both were lovely. The Thai beer was quite lovely as well. The only thing I would say, the servers didn't take much of an interest. Didn't ask how our meal was or if we had been there before. The little things really make the experience. Apart from that, my partner and I will definitely return.

Not impressed, plates were warmed but delivered 10 minutes before the food arrived and one of our party had to wait another 5 minutes plus for their food So cold food and plates nearly all round and not impressed with the prices either

We ate here for my sons birthday this week. Always love quality Thai food but this was sadly a let down. Service was poor. Forgot to cook one starter, so all of the party nearly finished there starters when the forgotten one came out. They obviously use frozen scallops as they were very small and very poor quality. Not as described in the menu (king scallops served in shell). Main dishes were not all served together with a delay between getting all food to the table. Lemon grass phad main was awful. Requested it be made with lamb which was lightly battered? Sadly this was just a poor stodge. Not pleasant at all. For the prices being charged and the quality of the food they use and present, to their customers, it just doesn't cut it. The final nail in the coffin was the discretionary 12.5% service charge added to our bill. We paid the service, hope they make the most of it because we will not be visiting again.

We booked a table for 1pm for 6 people on Saturday. We were NOT told at the time of booking that the restaurant would close at 2.30 p.m. If I had known that, I would have booked for the evening time. We were rushed so much and told 5 mins before 2.30 p.m. that we should order more drinks and would not be able to order desserts. The experience was completely ruined and our plates and glasses were removed quickly forcing us to feel uncomfortable and eat our food swiftly. The food was good, but we were not allowed to enjoy it. We paid a lot of money, and were made to feel that they wanted to grab our money and remove us from the restaurant as quickly as possible. We would not use this restaurant again for this reason.

Over priced for a tasteless " beef stroganoff with chilli". Never been more disappointed with a takeaway than Lemongrass. Mixed Platter for 2 was a total joke. Never eating from here again.

Really tasty food, but rather expensive for two meals (pad tai and curry with rice) and two starters (prawn toast and squid). Id eat here more because the food was so good, if the price was better. I ate at a similar restaurant up by Guilford recently for less with much more food and it was cheaper. 🤷‍♂️ Guess it'll just be a treat when the mother in law offers to pay for dinner from now on.

Lovely restaurant, well presented with a fish pond built into the floor, plants dotted around, nice lighting. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. I'd never eaten here before so a staff member recommended I try one if their tofo dishes as I don't eat meat and I'm very pleased that I went with her recommendation as the meal was delicious. The other two in my party ordered a duck dish and they also said their meal was delicious. I would definitely come back here again 😊

The Lemon Grass Thai restaurant is next door to the Malabon, and choosing between the two has always been difficult. However, if you love Thai food, you will like the Lemon Grass. The service is first class; the menu is exciting, and the food is terrific.

Jin and tyson served me today they were absolutely fantastic! The food is wonderful and the atmosphere is great. I recommend coming here if you are in the area!!

Been on hold for 50 minutes and still waiting to take my order. I was told to wait 1 minutes 30 minutes ago and not impressed at all. Was on hold for 53 minutes and they hung up on me!!!!
