Central location, Lovely food & great service. Food came quickly, freshly cooked and enjoyed the duck spring rolls for starter & prawn red curry. Can recommend & will be back. Thank you

Disappointing. We ordered the set menu for four at £35/person. Food mediocre - different dishes arrived in ordinary plates supposedly enough for four people. Enough for Four child portions, certainly not for four adults Wines, beers and water expensive. Mint tea a tea bag. Service srtificial. Left with impression we were done. Total cost for four £240. Poor value.

Lemongrass has dropped it's standards. It used to be so good, great wine list, good choice of beer and great food. Now the wine list is just a sheet of paper offering 4 reds, 4 whites and 1 Rose. They say they have 3 different beers but only 1 available. The prawn crackers has halved in size (as has the sweet chilli sauce served with them). The food is still good but many times they don't have everything on the menu. Needs a revamp

We got a table last minute and we are so glad we found this gem. The food was amazing, best Thai food I have ever eaten. The chicken pad Thai was cooked to perfection and my husband's prawn cha was also the same. The service was very prompt and friendly. We will definitely come back again.

Lovely food with great value for money. ONE piece of advice for improvement: a smile on your waiters' and waitress' face will go a long way, especially in service business.

Quick early evening meal with a family member on the Christmas Bank Holiday Tuesday. Andaman Salad starter - with seafood was pleasant. The main of the Thai Jungle Curry with king prawns was a very pleasant combination of flavour and heat. Phad Broccoli side was well done…….whilst the Plain noodles were okay - the only average/weak point. This was the first time that I’d eaten here, and very likely, would return, based on the positive meal.

I went for dinner at this restaurant after having a 8 week gap and it is terrible. The young lady who served us was so rude. Our starter arrived before our wine only to be told the wine was then out of stock. We were given a prawn dish as they had run out of sea bass. She then told her manager she had informed us there was no fish she was substituting our sea bass - which she had not as I have a prawn allergy. We then had to re-order mains and wait. The food was poor the chicken tasted like rubber, pre-cooked with a sauce poured on top. The restaurant was nearly empty so unusual for a Friday and England weren’t even playing tonight. Perhaps others have had the same experience. We had to call staff over no one seemed interested in serving our table. The bill finally arrived after 2 requests and they had added the dish we had not ordered onto the bill and service for the rudeness of staff. Where have the lovely friendly staff gone? We will not be going back! Such a shame when staff and the chef make it break a place.

First time at the Lemongrass Thai Restaurant- Esher. Classy restaurant with a warm touch. Friendly service and tasty hot food. Great selection to pick from the menu. A big thanks to the owner for making us feel so welcome. Highly recommend for birthdays and anniversary’s, or any excuse to dine out!! Try it for yourself👍

Authentic Thai food. Best in Escher

We’ve been for dinner many times this time we went for lunch. They do an amazing tapas type deal with a drink for around £15. Food is just lovely

The service here was excellent, and the lunch meal had the perfect variety. The massaman beef had just the right flavour, not too rich, not over the top with peanuts, and left us wanting more. The vegetable spring rolls were also a1 - crispy!

Since this place has moved to Esher, I no longer consider the giggling squid. Better quality food here, better value and lovely staff. The homemade chilli sauce is great! It's a regular for me. The lunch set menu is incredible value also. Recommended!

Unlike pad thai, this pad kee mao is spicy and savoury. The combination of chewy rice noodle and savoury sauce is out of my expectation. Glad I put down Pad Thai and try this dish. . Visited it the 2nd time and ordered more food (green curry, phad nam man hoy, phad thai, and phad si-ew). I really enjoyed it.

Awful gone off food ...nothing was edible . Never delt with such poorly rude staff and i will never order again ..just awful

We came here on recommendation from a friend and weren't disappointed! We were warmly welcomed and the atmosphere was lively and happy. Great wine choices (we had the sicilian white which went really well with the food) and the food was absolutely delicious. We couldn't decide so chose the set menu B. It was all so so good! The lovely ladies who served us were wonderful too. We will definitely be coming back. Thank you for a lovely meal on our wedding anniversary.

Quick service, nice setting, try the broccoli in sauce, to be honest I’m sure all of the curries are up to scratch, and the satay bangs to high heaven. All delish. Recommend we get takeaway/eat in on the regular.

After so many disappointing "Thai" meals in the past, we entered the Lemongrass with some trepidation. The variety of set lunch menus were very impressive & we both ordered one each. All I can say is I haven't had Thai food like this since we were in Bangkok 2 years ago. It was perfect, all the right ingredients making the food unmistakably Thai. We intend to return & have an evening meal as soon as we can.

My daughter and partner and I went to this on a local's recommendation, for a special birthday meal. We opted for one of the Set Menus in which one choice is a variety of different satay, spring roll prawn and fish cake starters (we shared between 3) followed then by portions of three different main courses including a fabulous duck curry (also to share between 3). Worth bearing in mind if you're not a regular Thai food eater that the seasoning-spicing can be a bit 'piquant'. The mains portions ended up being very generous! A lovely evening out.

Excellent Thai restaurant at reasonable prices offering great vfm

What a lovely evening, great service and a great plate of food. I asked for some tofu to be added to my main as there was no hesitation, they were happy to help. Nice little mix of veggies in my main and not too over the top with the sauces. If you want a nice main and a drink with a friend this is a lovely option. Nice buzz in the restaurant too.

Very regular lunch menu, not the best.

The food here is delicious and authentic. The staff and service is lovely. We had hot and pepper squid as a starter delicious, spicy and light. For main, I had a Thai Red curry with chicken, which was beautifully authentic, delicious, aromatic and full of flavour, but light too. They don’t use fish sauce, which can be overly pungent. They just season it perfectly. I could have ordered it again! Will be back again very soon…

Absolutely the best tasting food! The flavours are so amazing, every dish is cooked to perfection. This branch is the best Lemon Grass franchise I've been to.

Had a set menu on a Sunday and it was glorious. Super quality and huge plate with a drink for only £14! Lovely staff- thank you.

We came here as a group of eight, on a Wednesday evening. Daow was looking after our table and was in excellent form. She was fun, attentive and really made our evening very special. The variation of dishes we all chose were absolutely delicious and served hot. Generous portions and authentic flavours are on offer here. This is a restaurant that I’ve bookmarked for a future visit, next time I’m in Esher. All of my group were very impressed - even the fussy ones.

Absolutely stunning food thank you

We are always wary of chain restaurants and Lemon Grass is a good example. Mediocre shared starting plate, deep fried high quality repetition: whilst there was adequate food, it was ok. When the bill came there was an optional 10% service charge, this was not indicated on the menu. When queried, the management appeared to think that a service charge was standard practice, whether or not on the menu. They removed the charge. On the plus side, there is a good vibe to this place, lots of customers, so they won’t be put out by our lack of enthusiasm,

This used to be Red Peppers but I think the place has expanded. The food was excellent as was the service. They have "tapas" similar to Giggling Squid (up the road!) but I was able to swap the noodles for rice at no extra charge....

Incredible Thai food loved it! The staff here are fantastic always nearby and tentative. We had a mixed starter which was delicious. They also gave us extra items on the starter for free! Will definitely be going back here and I suggest if you haven't eaten here yet it's a must eat place!

Didn't actually go as can't speak to a human to book all online rubbish takes 2 hours to reply gave up after finding out there tapas is only lunchtime? And to be honest it's a great idea to do taps type eating because you can try different things..it's the same as giggling squid 4 doors down so why don't they try to be different?? Didn't get chance to try the food...

Lovely clean restaurant. Lovely food....but £6.50 for a bottle of lager is a bit steep. Other than that, can't fault it. Will be going back.

For starters we had the Chicken Satay and the Tom Yum Soup. The chicken satay was good but the tom yum soup completely lacked lemongrass and was too rich. It was nice enough but it just wasn't like any tom yum soup I've had before. For mains we had the Lemongrass Premium Roasted Duck Curry and the Chicken Phad Lemongrass (signature dish) both with plain rice. The duck was definitely not roasted, it was more like boiled and had large areas of fatty skin so not pleasant and was no way a 'premium' dish as advertised. The chicken Phad stir fry was also poor, the chicken was heavily coated in batter and where was the lemongrass in this 'signature dish'!? Perhaps the restaurant had run low as it was virtually absent from the soup as well. I think if you are naming your restaurant as Lemongrass then at least use plenty of it in your dishes! We paid over £60 for this meal which included 2 drinks (beer was £4 for a small bottle) and the tip was added to the bill which we should not have paid in hindsight. All in all very disappointing and sadly we will not be returning.

Lemongrass is amazing. The food, the service, the whole experience is outstanding. The Massaman curry is soooooo good. Best I've ever had and I've lived in Thailand. Highly recommended. Book your table quick!

Husband and I had an impromptu date night and landed here. We didn't have high hopes, having had eaten at the nearby giggling squid (bland white pensioner food), which has a better reputation. As it turns out, this place is great. Tasty food, if still a bit 'western friendly' . Friendly and professional staff

This restaurant was amazing with pretty low prices it delivers some delicious and mostly authentic Thai food 10/10 restaurant will come again. heavily reccomended.

Delucious food at a competitive price

We went on a Monday lunch time so it was quiet but this meant our drinks and food came out quickly (I don't know how quick they are when it is busy). My husband had the thai tapas (T7 and T10). The food was delicious and there was enough to make us feel full at the end. Definitely recommend and will be going again soon.

DELICIOUS food! The lunch menu comprises 15-20 combinations of a main dish and two starters/sides, so lots of variety! The price includes a drink (wine, beer or soft drink). Service was impeccable. The setting was light and airy - great during Covid times! Thoroughly enjoyed so thoroughly recommend.

Disappointed as high hopes for a good local Thai. Maybe the wrong food choices, but lots of deep fried batter, which isn't particularly authentic. Service was good until our waitress disappeared, then took ages to get any attention. Handover between sittings noisy and chaotic. Husband had to leave as feeling queasy due too much oily food. :(

Food looked lovely, aromatic duck was very dry, especially the salad bits, seemed quite overpriced, battered prawns with prawn shell were very hard to eat, as the shell was inedible

My favorite is no.5 called Kanom Jeeb, absolutely yummy, this is not a first time I visited, their stir fried lemongrass signature and lamb masaman, really nice too have too try, I love their food.🥰😘👍

Ordered from here on whim as we were hungry and we live close by. The food was absolutely delicious, BBQ ribs, onion bhaji, Malaysian lamb curry and chicken curry were especially good. Egg fried rice was just boiled rice will scrambled egg mixed in, tasty with the curry but not what I expected. Other than that was perfect, will definitely order again!

Absolutely revolting. Sweet and sour chicken was luminous and it was half an hour late! The banana fritters were soggy and the rice hadn't been cooked properly. Such a waste of money and time
