Lemongrass in Fareham

We had our second meal here and once again it was delicious! The food is freshly prepared and very authentic. I would highly recommend the jungle, red and panang curries.

Visiting a friend who had recently moved to Fareham, we randomly choose this restaurant for our dinner. We thought the food was tasty and the service was friendly. I wasn't sure on what to order, unfortunately my 2 chillies is definitely not what they think 2 chillies is but it was still enjoyable 😁

Can't understand the negative reviews. Visited this evening, food was fresh, hot and ample portions. Re the prices, ate in a Thai restaurant in Southampton recently and Pattaya prices were cheaper. If you want fresh food, I'm afraid these are the prices you have to pay. There is a notice in the counter as you go in, stating there is a 10% service charge.

customer service nice lady but I thought the food was below par for the money which left me in shock I don't think I would eat there again on the basis the price is what I would expect to pay for a culinary delight

My daughter took me out for dinner to celebrate my birthday. I hadn't eaten Thai food before. We had such a warm and friendly welcome. I was then guided around the menu and nothing was too much trouble. The food was absolutely amazing. Beautiful, fresh and fragrant. Great hosts. I will definitely be back.

We ordered a takeaway from here and considering we spent £50, we barely received a full plate of food between the two of us. They missed an item off of our order, which was then delivered after we had finished our meal. For the price that you pay for meals as a takeaway, it certainly was a waste. The portion sizes are poor, and the mixed platters appetiser for two was very small considering it was £20. Two small chicken skewers and the tempura prawns were minuscule. If you want a nice Thai meal, don’t go here. You’ll be left hungry, out of pocket and disappointed.

Excellent. Started with the Thai beef salad, which was fresh, tasty, spicy, and the beef was perfectly cooked. The dish was very spicy but the owner did forewarn me, I took the risk and it was worth it. Had Pad Kee Mao as my main, also delicious and very filling. The charming lady who served us was very friendly and helpful. Would recommend this place to anyone.

Superb food, and great service. We booked last minute, and they accommodated us with a warm welcome. We stuck to soup and curries, which were very good. Will definitely go back.

Lovely food and Amanda our host was fantastic. This Thai restaurant served great food. We had Tom Kha Kai soup which was amazing. Followed by a Green and a Red curry, both were equally lovely. We will be back again soon, thank you.

We regularly use Pattaya for meals and nights out Amanda is a really good and welcoming host. The food is really fresh, presented well, tastes nice and is consistently good. It's not cheap food but it is good fresh and tasty food. We would recommend the restaurant to anyone to try.

Once again a first class experience and my cousin told the owner it was the best Thai dishes he had ever eaten. Lovely and cosy environment and very friendly.

Best authentic Thai restaurant in the area. Service and food is excellent. Papaya salad is especially nice and well recommended. Very extensive menu with lots of choice. Staff are accomodating and pleasant. A must visit if you are in Fareham.

The food tasted like it had been cooked from frozen..Sea bass was still chilled in centre, salmon was deep fried with more batter than fish. Staff response was ..oh sorry about that. The beers and wine was overpriced. 10% service charge to bill. This restaurant is just a huge ripoff with no interest in customer satisfaction. The worst Thai food I have tasted in many a year.

Absolutely outstanding food! The best Thai food me and my partner have ever had. Everything was packed full of flavour, generous portions and at a good price. Absolutely loved the staff, so friendly, nice and simply never had such lovely service before. Highly rate them and their business. We will be returning again and again. If you are a Thai food lover, we would recommend 100%.

Went here for my wife's birthday and we certainly will never go back. The food was average at best and quite expensive, when we got the bill there was the 10% service charge, I asked the waiter to remove it as we had not enjoyed the dining experience and he turned hostile and slightly threatening. I paid it just to get us out as my wife was visibly upset. We will never return

The restaurant is really good positioned and with nice features. The food is also very good and tasty... Everything is really delicious. Maybe a bit pricey... But everything was perfect 😊

After doing my research I thought this will do nicely however walked in to be told only takeaway no restaurant how poor is that!!!

Second visit and although the quality of the food was good and flavoursome we all felt it wasn’t great value for money. The plates of food were presented very nicely, however, over a third of the plate was taken up with vegetables cut and dyed...

We booked a meal here last night and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Food was delicious and it’s all reasonably priced too. We had to wait a little while to be seated but the wait for our drinks and food wasn’t bad at all. Definitely go back.

We had family over from Australia and decided to pop into Fareham for a beer and a bit to eat. As ever we had a lovely meal.

Another very pleasant lunch with impeccable service and excellent food. Surprised to discover that meals from the lunch menu resulted in a bill which was less than a normal pub lunch. I will be back

I normally collect my takeaway, but requested delivery as we were entertaining. Originally informed that delivery would be an hour, but on learning where we lived (less than 2 miles away), we were told it would be "much much longer than an hour" and that we "would have to collect". Just my husband and I out for the evening and we decided to try Lemongrass. We had a lovely meal. The staff were friendly and helpful with our choices. The aromatic duck and pancakes were delicious. My husband and I both chose fish dishes and we shared a portion of rice and noodles. We both loved our choices. Would recommend a visit.

Fareham finally gets the world's best food; okay so that's a matter of taste and depends on your mood. A welcome change from Chinese and Indian dishes which are often criticised for being too oily or spicy. Thai food is more fragrant and subtle. Big fan of Chinese root ginger and the Lemongrass is the icing on the cake. Thai soups are the best in the world and I will get around to trying them here. The Duck mixed platters were great however a bit more duck would have been nice for the price. Our table of 6 opted for a couple of set meals and individual dishes which were all okay. Service was excellent as it is throughout Asia. Nice Chang beers. The place is tiny and feels a little cramped. I tried booking via the Internet only to be told via the phone that they usually reply to emails within 24 hours so best book a little in advance or telephone as it will be busy coz it's bang in the centre of Fareham next to a Wetherspoons and numerous charity shops. Throughout Thailand, Malaysia The Philippines, Etc 10% service charge is generally added to all bills and is usually stated clearly in the menu. I think this is fair enough as service is generally good often exceptional in The Far East. Sadly like our European neighbours we often begrudge tipping for good service and want to pay the bare minimum. Perhaps what Fareham needs is Vietnamese and Cambodian street food at the bottom of the High street? This is a very nice establishment and at present is being well run without a Ladyboy in sight.
