Horrible. As others have said, thick gloopy sauces with dried out chicken. If you’re a total mink you’ll love it.

First time customer that won’t be making the mistake of coming back. By far the worst Chinese we’ve ever had Sweet & sour chicken Hong Kong style you get a bag of fried chicken with a separate small pot of sweet & sour sauce not even enough to cover chicken. no pineapple, onions. Crispy shredded chilli beef mostly green peppers. Chicken satay looked 🤮 and tasteless. Best part of the meal was the prawn cracks everything else was bland, tasteless and overprices

My favourite takeaway. Friendly, fast service and great choice of food. Especially the big pancake rolls... scrummy!

This used to be the best Chinese takeaway in the area. It isn’t any more. Food was tasteless with cheap ingredients and very expensive. The chicken and mushroom used to be delicious with garlic slices, but now they don’t put the garlic in so there’s no flavour and the chicken is bland. The peking duck was fatty. Wok This Way in Barnes Lane is far, far better but I think it’s closed. Sorry New Lucky House but we won’t be using you again.

The best tasting Chinese I think I have ever had. A bit of a wait but that was because it was so popular! Parking is not straightforward but there is a car park about 200 yards away.

First and last time I’ll order from here, most things were burnt and sauces to thick had to throw it all away. Waste of money

Our go to Chinese shut down and we found the new lucky house. Food is lovely and generous with the portions so you definitely get your money's worth! Staff are friendly too and never had too long to wait for the food.

First time customer. Ordered Sweet & Sour Chicken Hong Kong style. Received a bag of dry battered chicken and a tub of sweet & sour sauce! No pineapples, no onions, nothing. Chilli shredded beef was in a sweet and sour sauce for some reason and was soggy and revolting. Prawn toast, don’t know what they did to it but also horrible, couldn’t taste prawn. Chicken chow mein dry and tasteless. Sweet and sour sauce far too thick and tasted weird. Literally all we could eat was the chips. Won’t be ordering from here again.

We have been using this family run Chinese Takeaway for 44 years and never in that time have we experienced a bad or poorly cooked meal. They have a large varied menu and are reasonably priced. The staff are always warm and friendly. We always order by phone and rarely have to wait more than 15-20 minutes before collecting our food. In all the years of being their customers, I've never found another chinese, locally, that has provided the same high quality meals.

Very nice food with never much of a wait after ordering. Hasn't got quite as big a menu as some other places but I see that as a plus as what they do cook, they're able to concentrate on and cook well.

Good food but took 2 hours to come, messed up half of the order and was rude when we called to query it and demanded we take all the food back before they offered a refund.

Have been using the New Lucky House takeaway for over 30 years. Food is always well produced in ample portions . It is always dependable.

The chines was very gloopy, jelly like, disgusting and tasteless. We ordered 6 different dishes and not one was good, they all taste the same. Absolutely rubbish, stay away! One of the worst chines; we threw £60 of food away, not even good enough for the dogs.

Ordered from here last weekend, we had to wait 20 minutes in the shop for collection and when we went home a few items were not hot the way through it was cold in the middle unfortunately. Prior to this we had ordered before and it was really nice so was a bit disappointed.

Very nice takeaway that's been in business for many years . Lovely people that own it and they provide a lovely experience of service and friendliness. Great food and large selection all cooked to order and always piping hot . Very well priced to so well worth a visit .

Only downside is they don't deliver, but I've never had an issue with the food in the last decade of living in Warsash

I don't understand all the good reviews. It was absolutely awful. The sauces in all the dishes were very thick and congealed. The pancake rolls were like a massive battered brick. So disappointed.

My favourite Chinese!! Lovely women in there. The food is always amazing and they even accommodate for my mum who is gluten free.

Fantastic food and excellent service. Would highly recommend as it is the best Chinese takeaway around.

Best Chinese takeaway, been going there for over 15 years and not had a bad experience yet! We have so many favourite dishes but especially the sweet and sour chicken, shredded chilli beef, beef in black bean and chicken chow mein. Kids love the chicken omelette and chips too. Lovely staff, always friendly.

Lived in Warsash for 15 years in my younger years and this was my go to place for Chinese. Not had a better one since. Live too far away now to come here regularly. Glad to see the New Lucky House is still going. John Wong's sweet and sour chicken and chow mein was the best ever!

Best Chinese iv had for a while

Have been using this family run Chinese takeaway since the early 80s and have never had a bad meal. Always phone our order through and depending on how busy they are our call is answered promptly. The average wait is normally 15 to 30 minutes. Always welcomed by a friendly face.

La comida familiar para llevar en Warsash ha estado yendo aquí durante años, nunca ha tenido un problema con la comida, siempre está muy bien preparada y el tiempo de espera es rápido y siempre hay una televisión encendida mientras espera. Precio razonable y buena cantidad de comida, especialmente las papas fritas y pollo agridulce.

Compre siempre limpio y ordenado, el personal de recepción siempre es amable conmigo, incluso cuando está ocupado. Karen, haces un trabajo brillante! No dejes que nadie te diga diferente.

Solíamos obtener nuestra comida para llevar de niño, pero nos cambiamos a un restaurante diferente hace años, después de encontrar un lugar mejor. He estado viviendo en el centro de la ciudad durante los últimos años, pero al regresar a la zona decidí darle una oportunidad. El comentario del amable miembro del personal de que no deberíamos esperar demasiado si hubiéramos venido de la ciudad debería haber sido nuestra advertencia, pero seguimos adelante con el pedido. Fuimos a los platos chinos anglosajones estándar de pollo agridulce, carne de res desmenuzada y arroz frito especial. El arroz era bastante sabroso, y eso, lo que ha ganado los 2 estrellas es el personal amable y el hecho de que tienen una base de clientes leales y de larga data (así que obviamente a alguien le gusta la comida). La masa del pollo y la carne de res estaba realmente empapada y ambas salsas eran pálidas y sosas, con un regusto muy suave, las peores versiones de cualquiera de los platos que he probado en mi vida. También era bastante caro en comparación con otros restaurantes. Desde luego, no pediría otra comida principal desde aquí, pero podría probar el arroz o el chow mein si necesitara una dosis de carbohidratos. Es una pena, ya que esperaba que el miembro del personal estuviera minimizando humildemente la comida.

Absolutely fantastic, great food, great atmosphere, and the lady who takes orders is so sweet! We have fun chatting to her whenever we go in, and she always remembers our order! Would definitely recommend this Chinese above all others in the area, and definitely worth the drive if you live a little further away, like we do!

My husband and I love this takeaway. We eat more meals here than anywhere else when we're in town on holiday visiting family. The food is really tasty and very consistent.

I could have easily given this five stars as the food is good - but having made 25 unsuccessful phone calls to place an order I had to do so at the counter and then join the queue of 18 people waiting for theirs. Asked politely if the phone wasn't working, to be told abruptly that it was, and that she couldn't answer it as she was too busy serving. Was then told they don't accept American Express cards even though their website says all major cards accepted. Would respectfully suggest they need more staff and a bit more politeness. Will try somewhere else in future.

We decided to give New Lucky House a try after reading too many reviews about the hygiene of another local Chinese and it will now be our “go to” takeaway. Food was really good and portions were huge. Kung P.O. king prawn was delicious and the chow main was great.

We are Australian, and regularly eat Asian in our country. Their rice was dry, the stir fried chicken was Glug. No paper napkins, or sources were provided. A couple other dishes were equally disappointing. They need a make over, and should learn their craft properly. Not to be recommended.

There's no other place we would go for a Chinese takeaway in the area! Nothing short of fabulous food and even better friendly service, have been coming here for years now and am never disappointed with the food.

Always great food, and always very friendly service. The lady who takes the orders knows everyone that comes in. And she remembers all about the things you tell her. Always asks how your family is doing. Lovely lady with a smile on her face.

Usually enjoy food here but really disappointed tonight. Chicken balls were overcooked along with chips and chicken really dry. Only chow mein was edible and that wasn't up to usual standards.

Tried getting our food delivered they didnt answer the phone so we ended up going to the takeaway and checked out the nice cars across the road. Food is non greasy and very tasty.

Poor quality of food, it tasted reheated and extremely greasy , poor presentation and really messy to dish up due to how it’s been packed in the containers, first and last time I’ll be using this Chinese.

The food itself is fine but they often miss something from our order. I’d understand with huge orders but when we’re ordering just a couple of items, it’s not great. We gave up calling after having to call 45+ times on several occasions. With other really good Chinese take aways in the area, there’s plenty of competition but this place seems to be taking its regulars for granted.

We tried this place out for the first time today and was terrible. They use way too much thickener and so everything is sitting in congealed flavourless jelly. We ordered sweet and sour chicken, crispy beef, chow mein and egg friend rice - simple dishes but all revolting.

We use the New Lucky House regularly and the food is always incredible. Personal favourite is the Chicken Chow-Mein but the Sweet and Sour is also very good. I've been to many Chinese takeaways and this is my absolute favourite.

I like this place, Its an honest English Chinese takeaway....... I have had regular takeaways from this very restaurant for over 30 years the food is just what you expect from a village takeaway, I've never had a reason to complain about the food, however, it can be a victim of its own success because at busy times you will need to be patient
