Love Indian summer. It’s the best in the area. Always friendly and helpful and they always go above and beyond for me as I have a nut allergy. Wouldn’t go anywhere else 😊

I really rate Indian summer highly. Been about 4 times now and each time the food has been top quality, cooked quickly, and is reasonably priced. Additionally, I love that they have a paneer option for the curries which makes it great for vegetarians. Most places just offer a vegetable version, which is never very good, so to have a paneer option sets it apart for me. Recommended.

Super service, great delivery option and the food is always great. We only use Indian Summer for our take aways.

Let’s start with the staff: so friendly and a good laugh! It’s great to walk in to a big happy smile! They are so lovely! I asked for a recommendation- and they nailed it! Recommend a fantastic dish! Order was cooked whilst we wait - I’m happy to wait for food to be cooked, so wait for it - any place you get it quickly isn’t cooking your food. Got the food home and it was so good - everything was brilliant!!!! We ate everything we ordered! I can’t fault anything! Rice was so good - a basic that most forget. The curry dishes - brilliant, so filled with flavour! Get yourself here as soon as you can and get a curry!

The food was incredible! I took my younger daughter with me to collect the food and the staff at the front were very respectful and friendly and even gave my daughter a lollypop. The food is always hot and well cooked. I cant wait to come here again and try new things!

Service and the food have been amazing. Very generous portions, food is always so filling, feels fresh and delicious.

The staff was really friendly making sure my order was spot on and the food was made really fast, much faster than other takeaways or restaurants in the area and the chicken tikka biriany was made to perfection will 100% be back next week.

This takeaway was outstanding! I had delivery one night and it took them around 20 minutes to cook it and deliver it. The staff were friendly my children enjoyed it too and they are very fussy. We all enjoyed it and ordered again the next week xx

the food there is absolutely banging i always get my chicken tikka biryani and the naga chicken from here and other dishes too, it’s well cooked and always served warm the staff is respectful and the service is brilliant i met the manager he is a lovely man and i’ve been going here for 5 years, the front desk boy gives my child a lollipop for free every now and then, the best indian takeaway in southampton i definitely recommend everyone to go here if you fancy a south asian dish xx

Friendly staff great food and reasonably priced staff are friendly.

These guys are always great. My wife has the King Prawn tandoori and they're always fresh, she doesn't like onion so we get them swappee out and they never have an issue with that. I try lots of stuff, and it's always excellent. My go to is Dansak but the whole menu is good.

New to the area I thought I would give it try. I can say that I thoroughly enjoyed my food. I ordered the Jhinga Puri starter fantastic. My main, side dishes and naan were also as good. All very tasty. Service was quick. Highly recommend this Takeaway.

I have ordered food from Indian Summer for years now, they have never got the order wrong, and the food has always been spot on, tasty, and hot. Siaf and the team are great and can even offer variations on dishes on the menu. 10/10

Not cooked. Every piece of chicken was pink.

Very disappointing, it was hunt the meat and prawns in a sea of smooth same taste sauce. Mixed grill was dry. Therefore expensive for what it was as would only take cash on a delivery .

Just collected two separate curries both tasted the same and seemed identical although one was tikka one was dansak both completely different curries but absolutely nothing like a Tikka masala bland no curry flavour whatsoever and the dansak had huge lumps of chicken completely off putting so much sugar in it that it tasted like a cake and absolutely no curry flavour whatsoever onion Bhaji’s overcooked and hard and peshwari naan awful rock hard greasy with a yellow mush inside nothing like coconut all in all a complete disappointment maybe new owners ??? Who knows but definitely not the usual food from there and a total waste of £26.20!!!!!

Had a delivery, was very expensive and cold, nearly warm at best. When I rang to complain I was asked what I wanted, a discount on my next order. There will not be a next order.

This is a great Indian takeaway. Bit strange that they only take cash but don’t let it put you off. Have had a number of meals and only one didn’t score 5/5 - they may not have had there too team on that day - glad I went back as the last 3 occasions have been excellent again.

Best Indian restaurant in the area

Usually pretty flawless but the curry I just had delivered featured the most horrific chicken I have ever encountered. It was like chewing beef. Happy to assume it’s a one off and continue using these guys.

I personally believe this is the best Indian takeaway in the area. The staff are always friendly and the food quality is top notch. I introduced my grandad to them when he visited just before Christmas and he was very impressed, never known him be so quiet!

Didn’t mention on phone that it’s cash only which is odd when everything is mainly card at the moment. Man on desk was really rude and had no customer service skills. I was also kept waiting for 30 minutes after collection time. Avoid, Basmati in locks heath centre a lot better!!

The food is really tasty and well cooked. They only take cash which is irksome as so many people pay by card nowadays and don't carry cash. There are ATMs opposite, however.

Having lived in the area for a while I have tried most of the Indian take aways around. Indian Summer has been my favourite since it first opened and never fails to impress. The food is fresh and incredibly delicious every time. I asked for a recommendation this evening and was pointed towards the chicken makhan. I have found my new favourite dish and can’t recommend it enough. Most mild curries can lack in the flavour department but this dish is exceptional. The staff are always friendly and after my most recent visit, I would not hesitate to ask for their recommendation again. Don’t waste your time going anywhere else, this place can’t be beaten.

Absoloute rip off! Tasteless, over £40 and the chicken wasn't even chunks, it was a few thin cm slithers of chicken, no actual pieces! I couldn't believe it, shocking and tiny portions. I'm starving and I paid £40! I'm having to make another dinner. First and only time will order.

Just the most wonderful flavours from Indian Summer’s dishes. Great delivery service (although we *are* just two miles away), and always accommodating towards special wishes when placing an order. Our go-to Indian takeaway, without question!

The food was very well priced, £40 for a large selection, but I'm afraid just tasted too bland, there was no real flavour, the lamb was also a little tough and fatty. This place could be great if they just took a little more care. The food arrived very promptly and the delivery driver was polite.

Disappointed after reading the reviews - our meal tonight was so bland - chicken tikka masala and lamb shashlik had no tandoori grill flavour, dhal was yellow water hardly any lentils ☹️

Tasty meal but food I collected wasn't what I had ordered; I had ordered a cheese naan but I had a plain naan instead (there was no hint of cheese in it). 2nd, one of the dishes that I ordered was a Paneer Rogan Josh - the Rogan Josh was correct but it had prawns in it (it seems they confused prawns with paneer) :-( Jaime

Have used before but not for a while but ordered here tonight and it was excellent! Particularly liked the Gupt Chicken Masala, the popadoms crunchy and not oily at all. You have to have the mango chutney as it beats everything else I’ve tried. Well done Indian summer, I’d definitely recommend!!

Been going here for a while, usually pretty good, disappointing tonight though. Took ages for food to arrive, food from the order was missing and we had to go back to collect. Nothing extra thrown in for the inconvenience either.

Great food, great service. 2nd time in recent weeks we have ordered from here and it's been really good. We have tried a few curry takeaways locally and this is our new favourite!

Here on holiday and picked this place to pick up some food on the way back from a day out. Food was top notch and ready on time. Would definitely recommend.

Can’t speak highly enough of this establishment. The freshest Indian food ok the market With the biggest flavours. Well seasoned and great spices. This sets the standard for south coast by far.

First and second time was the best we’ve had around this area, but tonight was good but not the best! I’ve personally had the same each time but tonight my starter and main sauces were very watery! So lacking the usual lovely flavour! I won’t stop getting our takeaway from here because as I said it’s the best in this area. Hope you can just keep up your consistency as before.

My family have just had the best Indian takeaway from Indian Summer in Park Gate Southampton Six main courses and all superb. Good portions very tasty and all different. The Prawn Jalfrezi and Chicken Dansak were absolutely delicious. All tasted really freshly cooked. Great service over the phone and ready for collection when they said. Could not fault them at all.

This was our second time here, mainly because Spice Village was closed on a Tuesday. Indian Summer was £5 more expensive for the same dishes. My Wife & Son enjoyed their Chicken Tikka Marsala, but my Chicken Curry was not very tasty with a thin sauce. In fact quite a lot of water separated in the bowl. The some of the chicken was tough & stringy.

Didn't receive the rice we ordered

Had a takeaway from here last night and I have to say I was impressed. Food was waiting for us when we arrived and when we go back to where we were staying the food was well pakcaged so it was still warm. The food was beautiful, very tasty, good spice balance and very moreish. Found all the dishes that we ordered were really tasty and the portions were very generous. If we are ever down in this area again we will be back for round two. A personal recommendation to the Saag, made to perfection in my eyes

Excellent food, excellent service! We've eaten here about 5 or 6 times now and I can honestly say that we've never had a bad meal. All the staff are really friendly. The tikka masala is the best I've ever tasted!

Pasamos ayer de camino a las tiendas y decidimos darnos un capricho. Mi compañero consiguió un pollo Korma y yo obtuve el Goan Fish Curry con naan y arroz con un lado de saag paneer. ¡En total llegó a poco más de 20!La comida era una de las mejores comidas para llevar que he tenido en mucho tiempo! El servicio fue amable y rápido.El único inconveniente es que es solo efectivo, pero hay un cajero automático al otro lado de la carretera.

Excellent food and friendly service

Un miembro de la familia nos había recomendado la comida india para llevar y debemos admitir que fue muy agradable.Tuve el pollo tikka masala y el arroz de champiñones, y mi marido tenía el biryani, ambos deliciosos, no grasientos y no demasiado grandes pero para nosotros.Se lo recomendaría a cualquiera.

Excelente comida, no se encuentra aceite / grasa. Pollo de buena calidad, platos de cordero y langostinos con excelente sabor. Los mejores curries que hemos disfrutado durante mucho tiempo. Lo recomiendo altamente

Best Indian in the area. Just had the New “Chittagong Chicken”......an explosion of taste with an undercurrent of heat. By far the most original offering from an Indian that I have had in this Country. Fantastic meals from here every time we have used it.

Its an Excellent indian take away blasting out traditional regional cooked dishes. Very busy at the wkend's so better to phone your order first. Naga chicken is one of my favourite's from chef Jay's recipie if you like a nice hot one😜

Always very happy with the food!

We got given the wrong order, have spent 40 minutes trying to call back and only got user busy. They picked up once, didn't say hello just left the phone on the side so we could hear them talking to other customers. Food was pretty good, although we only got about half the value of what we paid for as it was someone elses order (we gave up after calling back that many times) Customer service is shocking. This was our first time going there. Avoid this place!

Frendly staff, relaxing atmosphere in the waiting area, a good selection of dishes on the menu. Not over priced for what they offer, and the food is very good. I've eaten a large majority of the menu, and will gladly do so again when i can.

A prendre à emporter temps d attente sur place environ 20 Minutes . Les Serveurs sont aimables . Plats de bonne qualité mais pas très grand ( cinq morceaux de poulet dans mon curry et beaucoup de sauce )
