Don’t usually get a Chinese takeaway as they always seem to be a bit of a let down…until today, we used Legal Food in Lincoln following recommendations from colleagues, have to say the name is very off putting and why we’ve never used them. So glad we listened to others….the food is excellent, very tasty, hot and absolutely delicious, not a let down at all! Highly recommend

The sweet and sour chicken HK style had tough pieces of chicken in, it wasn’t nice at all

Salt and pepper chicken was great, however the crispy duck was slimy

Over cooked Pork balls, pork inside was like eating a old boot, so tough. Special chop suey? Nothing special, beansprouts and Onions, and very little meat cut into thin strip, what there was of it, & No King Prawns at all.. tiny shrimps. The Egg fried rice was awful ...No egg in it, and really bland. I was hoping this place had improved looking at the feedback on here. So I thought I would try this place again....after about 5 years... But I should have stayed away. Disgusting food. I was a chef, and If I dished this up to anyone ... I would expect it thrown back at me. How can you serve this to the public?!

Wrong chips , ribs so dry , cold when it arrived ,such a waste of £41.50 would never order Again , didn’t even give my dog what was left and there was a lot as it was awful . perhaps they charge for the container .so disappointed as it was recommended

Over 2 hours from ordering. The delivery time changed by 40 minutes and then was still later than time shown

Restaurant requested an extra delivery fee in top of the fee I had already paid on the app even though I am less than 5 miles away.

the food was lovely and on time. but after paying £2.50 for delivery and .50p for a service charge. they asked for an extra £2 cash for delivery after I payed the bill. Not sure what's going on there!!!

Food was initially delivered to the wrong address. Only with a phone call to the establishment did the food eventually arrive.

Always ordered from legal for the last 5 years it’s always been amazing, I always order duck curry and it was always amazing, the last 3 times the duck has been so thin in the curry, it looked like beef curry. Really let down that’s why gave it 3 chances but won’t go back again

It was good that my order of delicious chicken curry and everything was a bit earlier than expected, as I didn't really want to wait for over 1 hour 20 minutes anyway, I was ready before I ordered, so thank you very much, and have a good Christmas.

Food has definitely improved since the last time we had it. Chow mein was brilliant.

The meal was late but wasn't a problem as they're always busy. The food was piping hot and delicious as always.

Not sure what has happened, but have been using Legal food for years, in fact since I was around 17, now 52, so yeah, a long long time, today however was terrible, we ordered half aromatic duck, and well, the duck smelt off, I tried a tint amount (thinking could just be senses being iffy) but, nope, it was definitely not right, the onions were limp, the cucumber had a weird smell, so all in all not happy at spending over 20 pound for something I had to throw away, Really sad but won't be ordering again :(

Ordered food at 18:15 Had to phone 4times to see where it was ,made Evy excuse going bad traffic, accident bad weather.why not just say we are busy it will be however long . Turned up a hour and 45 mins late. Food just warm greasy unpleasant. NEVER AGAIN

The first bad experience from these guys.the aromatic duck had a big bone in it which nearly broke my tooth and put me off the rest of the duck.the chips was cold

We were very frustrated that our food came a lot later than we were expecting. We called the establishment and they said they were very busy and trying but it still took far too long. It was well over two hours by the time we got our food! We even also had to pay an additional cash fee to the driver to be able to receive the delivery!!

We absolutely rate Legal Food as the beat Chinese in Lincoln. The salt and pepper chips are the best as are the salt and pepper king prawns . All the food is amazing !!

Food was delivered early and all was very hot on arrival!

Food was great, however after ordering they called saying there was an additional £1 delivery charge to my address. This should be reflected when ordering, not afterwards.

Food was good but the delivery time was later than I had preordered for and it ended up being 35 minutes late.

Food was luke warm. sweet and sour was nice but would have been better if it was hot. The soft noodles I was expecting just noodles but it was essentially chow mein, I don't eat onions so spent a fair amount of time picking out the onions (yes it was already luke warm before I started doing this) it should really be called chow mein instead of soft noodles, or say in the discription what is in it. really was just looking for noodles only!

All of the food (except the Lemon Chicken) lacked flavour, incredibly disappointing and won't be returning again.

Bean sprouts, bean sprouts, bean sprouts and more bean sprouts. Bean sprouts under everything thing and in everything and top of everything. The pancake roll is basically a bean sprout roll. £30 worth of bean sprouts and not much of anything else that should have been there. I like bean sprouts but not that much.

AWFUL!!! Worst take away food I've ever had.....and I've had lots. Dry, tasteless. Pretty sure it was chinese bought from a cheap supermarket snd reheated or fried.

Awful food. Dry, no flavour. Seemed like supermarket bit that had been deep fried. Definitely won't be using them again.

The food was unremarkable. Barely any meat in the dish, to the extent I thought they had delivered the wrong order. The sweet and sour sauce was not balanced and the sourness overpowered the sweetness. There was an overwhelming amount of batter on the pork balls with a tiny scrap of meat in. Regret ordering from here.
