Legal Food in Lincoln

Ordered food at 18:15 Had to phone 4times to see where it was ,made Evy excuse going bad traffic, accident bad weather.why not just say we are busy it will be however long . Turned up a hour and 45 mins late. Food just warm greasy unpleasant. NEVER AGAIN

AWFUL!!! Worst take away food I've ever had.....and I've had lots. Dry, tasteless. Pretty sure it was chinese bought from a cheap supermarket snd reheated or fried.

The food was unremarkable. Barely any meat in the dish, to the extent I thought they had delivered the wrong order. The sweet and sour sauce was not balanced and the sourness overpowered the sweetness. There was an overwhelming amount of batter on the pork balls with a tiny scrap of meat in. Regret ordering from here.

Excellent takeaway with friendly staff and efficient delivery.

Food is always amazing here. Been using them for years. Normally ring them but this time used the site. Put some things in the messages which they didn't read so was the only thing that let it own in my last order. Other than that food is always amazing and really hot. Definitely recommend.

Had a meal of curry and sweet and sow chicken delivered last night. The delivery was spot on the time ordered and the meal was not only piping hot but one of the best tasting meals I have had from legal food.

Ordered spicy chips got chips with onion in not what I'm used 2 could be better

The meal we had tonight was possibly the best we have ever had from Legal Food. The quality was 100% . The delivery was also 100% . It was also nice to receive a calendar that is well worth displaying. Thank you for a very nice meal

This has been the only Chinese we have ordered from for the last few years, it arrives within the time you're given and piping hot. By far the best we've had without giving you that dodgey stomach ache. Not dripping in grease. A great tasty takeaway. 😋☺️

I have used this chinese for many years. Tonight Ordered takeaway online and they called to say I needed to pay an extra £2 delivery even tho they already charged us £2.50 delivery online and we only live less than 5 miles away and used to always use them well WONT be reccomending them any more. If delivery price had been increased they should of updated online

Our aromatic duck was green and smelly, the chicken balls had yellow spots on it and tasted disgusting and were inedible, I had to spit it out. Called the restaurant who agreed to a refund, but they sent a horrible man who rummaged through our bin and screamed at my husband that we were liars and refused to give us a refund because we had eaten some of it even though we had pictures which we sent to the restaurant to show the state of food. A long with a over two hour late and horrible food we have report to the food standard agency!

Decent food, fair prices. Knocked a star off due to cash only payments. That and the older woman behind the counter can be a miserable sod and quite abrupt to customers.

The food tonight was totally disgusting! Chips were cold and obviously fried twice. Pancake roll was cold. Chicken curry was lukewarm at the best. After all these years I'm sadly ordering elsewhere from now on.

Staff were so rude when we tried to ring up (180 times 3 different phones, plus tried using their live chat) to change the address as their website delivers to the default address without asking. We were told its our fault and we had to deal with it. £30 down and no Chinese. Idiots -.-, never again.

Food has always been nice but tonight they really let themselves down. Large order that they kept pushing down the priority list. Took 2 hours to arrive when we were told 45 mins. Not good enough.

Love this place. I can only vouch for the ribs, chicken chow mein, sweet and sour chicken balls, pancake roll and chips as that's what we order everytime. Never had a bad one and we've used this place for years.

Singapore dish was tasteless, found one slice of green chilli pepper in the while dish.., lemon chicken turn up as pineapple chicken. Was rude and disorganized on the phone. Will not be returning. Very disappointed with the food.

been using legal food for years now, but over the last 6 months or so it has slowly gone down hill im afraid, bad service to cold food.....

Waited 2 hrs for food to be delivered and when it did arrive there was no apology and it was cold. The chicken was like an old leather boot and the rest of the meal was no better tasteless and dry. Will definitely not order from here again. Never had such bad food before

We went into this place looking for good food and good service we orderd chicken rice chow mein few other bit and fried CHICKEN BALLS my partner is pregnant bare in mind on top of this she bit into the so called chicken to find all prawn disgusting mixed in with chicken balls and chicken we had 7 prawn and 3 chicken we checked after. Contacted restaurant as we told them about the allergy to get all lies and telling us we must be wrong legal action is being taken disgusting attitude and even worse customer service.. the fact they fry shell fish in the same oil as chicken alone is a RED flag to the food hygiene offices. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!!!

Missing items from order, the Chicken Chunks were ridiculously big to the point chicken wasnt cooked throughout. Very hit and miss with quality of services.

As a pescaterian I ordered shrimp rice.but was half full of chicken ,which I cannot eat so won't be going back,as had to throw away

Order from here regularly, never had a bad dish. Salt and pepper ribs are a must.

Disgustingly customer service. Collected our meal and when we arrived home an item was missing. Called to tell them and they said we could come to collect it but we live 15 minutes away so the other items would be cold. They said they could deliver but it would be an hours wait. Then they agreed we would havevit added to our next meal. We then called the following week and placed our order through just eat. An hour after our order was confirmed they canceled it and would not discuss why and they still own us over 5 pounds worth of food which we paid for. We like the food but you don't treat peple like this so won't be using again. Dont recommend as very disappointed.

Waited a hour and 15 minutes for the food had to ring up twice to see where my order was, when it came food didn't taste the best and they gave me 10% off which didn't even work out right. Dissapointed as it's normally the best in Lincoln but maybe this time was just a one off.

Parked up in the wagon for the evening, ordered chicken curry & egg fried rice. Was absolutely beautiful. Women on the phone was really polite, gets my vote 👍

We’ve been regular customers of this place for a couple of years on a weekly basis and keep giving them the benefit of the doubt when things go wrong. We usually give them “one more chance” as the food is usually pretty good. I eventually cancelled tonight’s order after two hours of waiting and still no dinner. It’s obviously a popular place but they seem to be getting complacent and don’t care about regular customers. I won’t be using them again and will find somewhere that cares about their regular customers instead.

easy to order great tasting Chinese food delivered to your door. Order by phone or order in shop. There is an extensive menu of both Chinese and English dishes including starters ,main course and why not try the banana fritters. I've never been disappointed with the quality of food and this is a quick and easy takeaway service and convenient to use.

Been using legal food for many years twice now me and family became ill .shame because I thought for years good service and amazing tasty food . But on last few occasion we all become so ill I with how sick I was stomach cramps and heating up. Curry sauce stay clear off I can honestly say really thought I was going to have to go pass out . Not be using this service again

For a long time now we always order a takeaway from legal food. The last time the food was cold on delivery, I reported this by phone and they said mention this on our next order and they will look after us. This was this evening and the food was really cold again. I won't be ordering ever again.

I placed an order , after 2 hours I rang and was told that they didn’t have a magic elephant, I’m not sure what this elephant would have done to get my food here any sooner, but....... they then cancelled the order , so I couldn’t leave a negative review on just eat. Honestly, never known anywhere like it! Steer well clear!!!

My favourite Chinese takeaway in Lincoln. Food is always tasty and hot. People I've spoken to are always kind and polite and now and then there's a freebie included. Since I found them, haven't recommended another place to anyone when Chinese is the craving of the evening.

I was grateful for my food arriving early however they had planned over an hour originally. But my biggest problem was that I asked them to ring me when they got here so I could come round alley. My room mate was asleep and his bedroom is right by front door so he was woken by delivery driver who didn't follow instructions. However I have no problems with restaurant. My food was lovely to say the least.

Awesome food! We had 1/2 crispy duck, chicken balls and an appetiser that’s a ‘sharer’ with a variety of food. It was fantastic and wouldn’t recommend they do anything differently. Delivery time was slow but appreciate friday’s must be busy. Food arrived hot though.

If you want what you ordered don’t come here! I am a common customer of legal food and I always order from here. The food is always good and the service is usually good. Today I ordered sweet and sour chicken balls and EGG FRIED rice as always. When the order got here the delivery woman wouldn’t give us the change at first. I then looked and they had given me boiled rice instead of egg fried rice. I rang them and they said that was what I ordered although I have people around me who heard me say egg fried because I hate the taste of boiled. They didn’t read the order back to me and refused to give me a refund or to send the correct rice out, and said that I could order the rice again! They spoke to me in a bad manner and have lost a common customer!

Food is good but order here to have collection time changed so we would have to wait an hour. Isn't collection meant to be quicker? Collected food and didn't realise until we got home and unpacked that we had never been given our chips we ordered. Called and was told they cant deliver to us and that they will remember and do something next time. Highly doubt it but.

Ordered via just eat and waited 2 hrs for delivery. Called up and very poor service! Will not use again

AVOID!!! Sadly this is the worst experience of a takeaway I’ve had, and I’m not unfamiliar with the odd takeaway. Firstly, the app said it would be delivered in 1hr, then I received an email saying it would be 1hr 30mins. After 90 minutes, I received a notification that it was out for delivery. 20 minutes later, I rang the restaurant as it hadn’t been delivered. They were unhelpful and argumentative! we rang again after 45 minutes and were advised that it was still out for delivery and the driver must be ‘stuck in traffic or something’. when we said it will be cold by now, and that’s not acceptable, the lady simply said ‘yeah, sorry about that!’. as at the point of writing this, we haven’t yet received the food and it was ordered over 2hrs ago!!

Arrived 45 mins after it was on its way. Not amazingly hot. Chop suey had no rice or noodles. Almost entirely a box of beansprouts and hardly any chicken.

Food is great but you need to make sure you are not starving as delivery is about 75—-90 minutes but arrives hot and is delicious

I would order the chicken skewers again but the chicken scezhwan and chicken and cashew looked good however I was met with a very bland meal. To top it off I can honestly say I believe it was half a chicken breasts worth of meat in both dishes.
