Happy Chef in Lincoln

This is my local chinese. But after some late night munchies i decided to hit this place again and this time give a solid review for it. I ordered the salt and pepper chips, pork balls and prawn toast. ( abit of an odd order since i was by myself). The salt and pepper chips were out of this world,

Worse Chinese meal ever eaten, bland, tasteless and cold, we live 2 minutes away! Best part was the reusable containers it came in!! Never again!!

Special Singapore chow mein with a pot of curry sauce on the side. Perfect for a late Sunday finish at work.

First time ordering tonight and I must say it was really nice food was piping hot.. the only small issue my egg fried rice was quiet bland, there was quiet a bit off egg but could of been a little more and flavour could of been better but was nice enough to eat still… so on this I would happily order again.. Also delivery was super fast and the female who took my order was very friendly and polite 😊

Fully Chinese food. They have variety of menu. I try 1 by one.

it's not easy have a nice Hong Kong style chinese food in Lincoln, love it.

Right I do like the food but they have now made mistakes on the last three orders we have had so make sure when it gets delivered it has the right food

3 out of 5 now been the wrong order , obviously employed ex British Gas workers , back to hartsholme for me

Disappointed this time, chicken satay looked raw, chips were dry, chicken chow mein tasted awful definitely was not cooked fresh. Its time to look elsewhere.

This place is awesome. 5 star food. 5 star service. Food is always excellent. We would never go anywhere else. Good value for money as well.

They went above the norm for customer care and support. The meal was very nice. My daughter was isolated on her birthday due to covid. So this was her birthday meal at home.

Absolutely delicious... this place was recommended by a family member who like myself loves good fresh food .... really happy 😃

First my husband came home with the wrong food, when we did get our food it was cold and chips where over done, absolutely rubbish

Ordered a handful of times, really good taste to the food, good pricing and portion sizes. Only downside I would say is I definitely felt thirsty due to the amount of salt/msg in a few of the dishes

Wow. We have been using happy chef for a few months (mixed vegetables in blackbean sauce and cashew nuts ..oh my days) and have been amazed by the quality of the food. Then Wednesday night the meal i ordered was undoubtedly the best meal I've had in my life. If your looking for a good Chinese in Lincoln ive tried them all and after the consistent top quality of happy chef i refuse to go else where. You will not be disapointed with happy chef x

Ordered online and was told it would be 60 mins. 2 hours later still waiting so rang to check and was informed the driver was on their way, eventually turned up 45 mins later absolutely stone cold. First time ordering from here and certainly won't be doing so again.

Placed an order for delivery which they charge me £5 for the pleasure. I was told it was about an hour but after an hour and a half they are still cooking it and unsure when they can deliver, So don’t know what time I’ll be eating tonight. The service is shocking and I will not be using them again. AVOID!

Had a click and collect today from Happy Chef. Have to say that it was close to being the best Chinese takeaway we've had. Portion size was excellent and food tasted great. Highly recommended.

Ordered on line, it said would be 50 min witch was fine but after half hour we got a phone call from them saying it takes 30 min to get to where we was and wanted £8 delivery, and was told to cancel it on line our selfs after allready paying for it

I order a set meal for two ,it would of feed three, lovely food and nice and hot, good value for the price, and came 10 minutes early.

Love happy chef but it's great one week and terrible the next so 3stars food is amazing but try the same meal a week later it's a let down it's a bit hit and miss really least it arrives hot and on time

Was recommended this as a takeaway delivery. Ordered online, no delivery charge, countdown to when the order would be delivered. Really nice chinese food, good quality meat and veg ratio and not greasy. Will definitely order again

Best Chinese takeaway in Lincoln bar none

Very disappointed. I had a takeaway back in April that was lovely although I did have to wait 4 hours. 3 Past what I was told it would be with no corispondance and unable to contact. So forward to this week and I was craving salt and pepper chips so decided to have a takaway. They phoned me up to tell me I would have to pay an extra £5 on delivery. I didn't the previous time. They also said it would be a hour and a half not the hour stated. I agreed as the last one was so nice. It came within time but the food was awful. The chips were just chips that had had 5 spice sprinkled over them as an after thought. The chicken balls were well some were undercooked and some over cooked how that happend I have no idea. The noodles were again just sprinkled with spice as an after thought. The rice was cold. The curry was the best thing but it was only avarage. £27 for a meal I ate about £3 of. Will not be ordering again.

Bunch of knobs Ordered my food at 10:30 for collection was due to be ready for 11 we was notified are order was ready so we drove to collect got there and the fools was closed some service that.

Ordered 2 dishes, was told would be an hour at 17.55, happy with the hour wait at 19.30 we were very hungry and called to see where food was, told how would they know how long would be as out with the driver. Subsequently food arrived at 19.45 and food was cold had to go in microwave to eat unsure how long in van. Prawn crackers were good but they were free food was ok.rang to let the takeaway know about service, they would have given us some discount next time but won't be using again. Shame first time takeaway since lockdown😩

I order from here regularly and they appreciate there customers!, they are by far the best chineese takeaway around, always get the food to you on time And tastes great!

Placed an order with big foodie at 6pm said it was going to be 2 hours its now 8.50 can't get through to anyone find out where my meal is, don't think I will bother again, not sure if it's even coming it turned up after 3 hours and 15 mins luke warm I won't be bothering again, don't take on more orders than you can cope with your more likely to lose customers

Sent an order online and after two hours of waiting they cancelled the order saying it was too far. It was too late to get anything else. Shocking service

Yes this happened Several months ago but have just found out the driver complained ...We only live 5 minutes away from them, we had them turn up nearly 45 minutes late and complained to the driver,..who them proceeded to start saying he was calling the police...wt??... we only asked why it was so late,why nobody answered the phone and do we get a discount...this was after several times trying to call them.. Now we can't get deliverys from them because the driver said we were abusive....ha,what for asking questions??

I ordered a large amount of food for a special birthday, said it would be an hour, rang an hour snd a half later as didn't arrive, said it would be another half an hour, never arrived again, long story short it took over 3 hours to get here, no phone calls from the restaurant apologising it was going to be late, no offer of any reimbursement, I asked and they agreed on £15, it eventually arrived half of it was not hot, no free spring rolls, and had to insist on our £15 back as the delivery driver hadn't been told, we are all keyworkers, my daughter who's birthday it was was up for work at 5am,me 6am,didn't get food til gone 9.30pm. Wouldn't order from them again.

The best Chinese takeaway I have ordered from in Lincoln. The food is always superb. Cannot fault them at all.

Amazing tasting food have a regular order there now friendly service easy to follow ordering on there online system and price wise brilliant even someone on low income like many can afford a treat from happy chef our regular order is sweet and sour sauce egg fried rice and chicken Chow mien with noddles with is fabulous tasting food ever now I ask for less onion and more bean sprouts its is finger licking fabulous 1000% I give the food 1001% for the cheerful welcome you get when you enter the shop very pleasant indeed

I had an excellent meal from here cooked to my own requirements .The set meals are ample sized portions and you have the option to have delivery or pick up from shop. There is usually parking outside the shop so it is uick and easy to access. Extensive choice of hot tasty food and friendly service

First time I have used this place and have to say im not overly impressed. The half roast chicken was burnt to a crisp and looked like it had just been reheated in a deep fat fryer. The fried mushrooms were like gooey slime. The rest of the meal was ok but id be hard pushed to go back. Genuinely dissapointed as it used to be my local before it changed hands
