THE best Chinese takeaway around! Really friendly and always end up getting a few different freebies (spring rolls etc.) The value for money is insane, better than any other takeaway around. You really don't need to order a lot, as the portions are massive! Would recommend to anyone (cash only tho)

Had the worst experiance tonight with Lees.. after waiting 2 hours and i called back to check on the food the guy on the phone replied with “weve cancled it drivers having trouble with the car” then hung up on me! I get things like this happen but a quick call would have been nice just to let me know!

Called tonight,not been for ages but fancied a change.I had pork ribs,the meat was so tender and tasty,it fell off the bone,then sweet n sour king prawns(Hong Kong) style.The portions where massive and very tasty,really enjoyed it.Will be going back soon for sure.

We went here because it was Monday and all other Chinese take aways were shut. It came and I thought it tastes sweet and horrible. My sons salt and pepper chips were covered in sugar. I called to complain only to be told that's what they did, put sugar on everything and even on their chips! I still think it's a lie and they'd picked up the sugar shaker and not the salt shaker. Made my son feel sick and we couldn't eat it. Vile 🤢

If i could give it 0 stars i would this is not run by lee anymore the food is disgusting its full of grease cold and looks like yesterdays warm ups will never have another takeaway from here

Usually cracking meals from here! But Last meal we had from here, they had sprinkled sugar on the chips? And also on the sweet and sour chicken. We thought they had made a mistake and put sugar on instead of salt. Phoned them to let them know and they said no not made a mistake? I’m diabetic as well!

Awful place order was all wrong and they made us pay for the missing items food was cold, will not be ordering from here again

Not nice at all. Everything is so salty or sweet. Quality is poor. Gutted because I spent 36 quid and left most of it. I feel sick after all that salt and sugar. Never again. Don't get people who say its nice because it really isn't.

Lee's used to be great loved the portions and food as of late it's gone down hill. Although you get a good portion size the quality of the food really lacks as of the last 3 times I've been left disappointed. Additionally, I'm seeing people talk about a "rude women". Well she's pleasant until you have a problem. When you do it's like arguing with a arrogant chav. (I haven't argued with her myself just witnessed customers make valid complaints and how she responds is appalling.) TLDR: Lee's is a gamble

Food awful everything far too sweet chicken and sweetcorn soup was like a bowl of syrup even the plain noodles tasted like sugar not be ordering again

Don't know how this place makes any money with the amount of freebies they give away- this is not the closest chinese takeaway to us but is the best in our view - we've tried a range of dishes- beef curry/special fried rice/crispy shredded beef/salt & pepper chicken/vegetable chow mein being just a few of them. All were very nice; the portions for most of them are massive and would easily feed 2 people (those where they come in the deeper tubs, eg, the fried rice and chow mein dishes).I usually collect rather than wait a lot longer for delivery (they usually seem really busy); there's plenty of space to park directly outside the door.

Absolutely massive portions... for all the dishes. We do a 14 mile round trip to pick up our takeaway and are never disappointed. Good quality food at a reasonable price.... trying to decide on what the freebies are while driving back home is a good game... mini spring rolls and prawn toast last night..... and the best bit.... nearly always having food left over for lunch the next day.... maybe I should order less dishes...

Absolute rubbish. Its all well and good slopping up big portions but 3 out of 6 order items completely wrong and a 3 mile drive back with it for a refund which I literally had to insist upon. Being busy is no excuse. AVOID!!!!!!!!!

Absolutely love this place. The food is so so tasty and there's plenty of it for an excellent price. But the prawn toast wow never have I had a Chinese with prawn toast so big and a full bag of it. Would absolutely recommend this chinese

Lovely food, with large portions and added freebies, we'll worth the money.

Food was very nice, containers were rammed full. Little extras were a nice touch. Only fault was ordered chicken with green peppers in black bean sauce. Got red peppers which made the dish a little sweet. 9 out of 10.will order again.

Food was vile. Asked for chicken chow mein with no veg, got veg. Wouldnt bring a new one, said they would knock it off next order told them we wouldnt be ordering again. Salt and pepper chips were disgusting, must use a full tub of salt. Ribs were just fat. Chicken balls were chewy. And the bag of 5 prawn crackers was just a laugh. Dont waste your money.

See photos I posted waited 50 mins for bag of chips with salt pepper just poured into bag. And what looked like old or frozen crispy shredded beef with chilli sauce in middle how this place gets 4.1 I don't know. Phoned to ask for money bk no apology was told we want all food back like I was gunna eat that when money came bk they charged me for delivery unreal don't ever go

Never had a problem in about 5ys of ordering always been spot on But today i had a few things missing an when I phoned I got the most ruddist lady telling me everything had been put In my bag an if I hadn't received it, it must be the drive that had had it for his tea an she would let me know at midnight what had happened to my missing food Not that i want it at midnight NOT very good costumer service SO SORRY TO THE DRIVER...

The only Chinese you need to know about, been enjoying Lee's food for years and will do for years to come. Great fresh food at great prices!

Nice food really big portions. Only thing what they really need to do with there salt an pepper ribs and salt an pepper chicken. Is to put proper pepper or chillies to actually make it spicey hot!

Good food and FAST service, considering last night (Saturday) the front of house lady is just glued to the phone. Good portions? Last night's meal for two is going to feed us 3 nights!

The best Chinese takeaway in the city. A bit far for me to travel to regularly but worth the trip for special occasions. If you're local you're very lucky.

Mad,they had to turn phone off today Saturday 14th September as deliverys were over 2 hours I couldn't get through so I went and ordered in shop. Food is so good. Set menu A £15 for 2 is amazing.

First time order from here. Generous portions with a bonus of a bag of prawn crackers and a small bag with a few small vegetable spring rolls and some crispy chips. Bonus!! Overall very good, just waiting to go back again soon and hopefully they'll have a menu for me to take away with me.

Just got home from work put order in and it came opened it and dim sum went all over the floor was so soggy and opened chips same thing all over the floor then got other stuff and there was no curry sauce wot a dissapointment as every thing was dry and didnt enjoy it at all dry rice dry chips dry chicken wont be ordering again

Been going to Lees for years, even back when he had rainbox, no drive 25 mins to get there as it is the best Chinese around!

Been going here for as long as I can remember for Chinese and even spent 3 years working here and it has always been not the best food but decent enough and the portions are the best of any Chinese I've been to but recently the last few I've had have not been very good at all which is sad as I have been going for years. Hopefully it will pick up again and I'll edit my review if need be in the future. All in all not the best but by no means the worst.

Had a takeaway 2 weeks ago at a friends from here that was absolutely amazing. Tonight however...very poor. Was told 1 hr 30 mins It took 2 hr 10 minutes which I wouldn’t mind if the food turned up top notch but even the chips were poor!!! And I was charged more than the menu price plus delivery charge???!!!

I always have lemon chicken & fried rice, delivered to Basegreen for £8.90. Yo get loads an it is delicious. The only place I’d go. Great food and great delivery. Love it!

The food is fantastic and tasty, portions are always very generous and the staff are friendly. what more can I say, Lee's is the only local Chinese for us!

We have ordered from here several times and food has been good. However our last order was awful and had to throw it away and my mate and his daughter were ill the next day. Will not be using again. Also charged £2.50 for delivery from hackenthorpe to stradbroke think this is a bit steep given the distance involved.

Worst chineese about, food was dry and overcooked, rice and noodles were stodgy, never known a takeaway where every single item was bad. STAY AWAY!!!!!!!

Depends if Lee is cooking or not. If Lee is cooking it's excellent but slow on weekends when busy. Lovely food and worth the journey when on the ball.
