1st time ordering, well cooked, tasty food, thanks.

Just ordered a vegetable chowmein with a curry sauce and it was beautiful so fresh tasting with amazing flavours. I will definitely be ordering again soon. Delicious 😋

Foods amazing from here never once had a problem staff friendly and welcoming

The food is great by all means, lovely tasting cuisine, however the customer service, poor. so very poor. we waited almost 2 hours for our food to arrive, i then rang up to be told it would be ready in 20minutes, 20mins later i ring up and im told its on its way (i live about 5mins away at most) another 15mins later it still isnt here so i ring up and cancel the order. This is the first time this has happened to me, and i order from here semi often, but to be lied to by a member of staff repeatedly and to wait THAT long for food that isnt exactly cheap. is abit silly for me tbh.

Just upt their prices and what you get or don't get is smaller

Absolutely shocking food fills all there takeaway boxes with mushrooms an veg hardly no meat at all gave this takeaway to many chances but now it finally call for them as a customer I complained about the amount of mushrooms in my food when it was a meat dish the chinese lady went crazy over the phone out of order she was I have never ever been shouted at like that with any complaint iv made anywhere that shop needs to again close down food is shockingan the lady as very bad attitude my food was thrown told many mushrooms an no chicken my Cury was bright orange lime tomartoe soup not a curry

Good set menu's with loads of food. Set menu for 2 had enough food for 3+ people. Food was served in leakproof containers and was piping hot. Seats provided for while you wait. Waited approx 5mins for order. Parking directly outside.

Absolutely spot on, first time we tried the Orient yesterday and will now be our regular. driver was polite and the food was perfect. 👍🏻

The food was lovely unfortunately the bitter pill is the delivery driver, we were quoted £45 for our meal we had £47 ready for him , on arrival he asked for more so I had to get more money, I gave him £50 and said keep the £2 change , I rang the takeaway who said it was £45 including delivery, the lady put me on to the driver, who said it must be a misunderstanding, my take is if he takes a total of nearly £5 tip after misunderstanding and about 20 deliveries it’s over £100 in over charges , please be warned, I don’t think we’ll be having any more deliveries,,, sorry happy new year the driver did say I’ll give you the cash back but it’s about principle

The food is always delicious! Honestly, it is the best Chinese in Sheffield, in my opinion. I haven't had a single problem for years. Ignore the negative reviews! A lot of those people state they have been going for years, but they haven't bothered to give them a positive review in all that time 🤷‍♂️ One bad experience doesn't define place!

Just received our delivery from the orient .. Absolutely gorgeous food ..highly recommend their curry sauce, chicken foo yung and egg fried rice.. Best Chinese we've had in a very long time

Me and my mom come here all the time for our Chinese takeaways, and it’s always great! Not only is the food lovely but the staff are amazing too :) We’ve tried other takeaways but we always find ourselves coming back to the orient for the great and friendly service. It’s also affordable since 10 pounds fills me and her up plenty Would definitely recommend!

I have ordered from the orient for years tonight so disappointed and will never order from them again, totally got the order wrong even though we order the same again I called up just to let them know as I thought they mixed the order up and they said I'd ordered incorrect I didn't receive vegetable curry instead I'd got special sweet and sour balls with a curry sauce no apology I know what I ordered it doesn't even sound the same so due the the reaction I got I will not be ordering again the food wasn't the nice anyway

Never had a bad experience order afew times a month for afew years

Order from here almost weekly and up until recently food has always been spot on. Ordered Fri night and was very dissatisfied with the quality. Egg fried rice was totally a different colour to what it usually was, definitely didn’t contain any egg. Curry sauce was bright orange again very bland and different to the usual. The other meals we ordered tasted totally different (very bland). I can only guess new owners.

Avoid at all cost discrafaithel food all tasting like thick old grease .King prawn balls in batter well more like a pea in 6 inches in batter horrible food .and stone cold.

We asked for something not on the menu and they accepted the order without question. I asked for salt and pepper pork and it was amazing! Crispy, umami pork and still moist inside. Fresh hot food, great service, will be going back.

Beef curry lol orange curry..really like warm chips cold.prawn toast cold tasted sour.this was very poor quality.have they changed chef's as I used to go for food there every week and was the best..this takeaway has gone down hill fast.i definitely won't order again for sure.chinese curry isn't orange regardless how much the staff claim it is.hope they close soon and someone who can do quality food takes over.not worth 1 star

Come here most weekends food good can't complain at all

Was a 2hr wait, fair enough, they warned me, food was luke warm, beef tough, rice soggy! Banana fritter soggy!! If you cant cope with orders, refuse them keep your quality of food, had a deliver last week was spot on!!

I can not believe that this takeaway gets some poor reviews . It's one of only two that I would use in the area.Never had a bad meal here,always great.

My wife had beef and onions in gravy with bamboo shoots and water chestnuts while I had Chicken omelette, chips and peas . All of which were excellent , we would definitely recommend

Terrible mushroom chow mein very greasy and no taste to it, also the sweet n sour chicken wings the batter poor and the chicken no taste. Obviously missing some seasoning, shame for a Saturday treat. Won’t be returning.

Ordered black pepper chicken last night arrived processed rubbery chicken, tastless and bland in a gloopy sauce absolutely vile phoned them for somthing else for a replacement and they wanted to charge me for repacing it wouldnt ordsr tbede again wouldnt even feed it my dog

Foods fresh, clean and cooked infront of you. Cost and quantity is amazing. It's busy but not surprised, it's worth the money value and quality 👌 I don't use any other Chinese because I believe this on is perfect. Staff n quality of food is outstanding, try them out think you will be as impressed as I am and many others.

Got recommended this restaurant by the deliver driver (Shaun) who also works for the sandwich shop next door, who said it was the best Chinese in Sheffield, and how right he was. Been here 3 times in 2 weeks and everytime the food has been piping hot. They're also happy for me to pre-order the food for collection and let me collect it whenever I can (hospital worker) which most places don't like. Extremely polite staff too which is lovely. Another positive is that you can see the chefs making the food, and can see the clean working stations, which is a big must for me. A very tasty place which takes pride in their food, and for that, I'd recommend anyone to eat here.

Have eaten regularly usually every other week for years . Tonight picked up my order, while unpacking it at home discovered no hoisin sauce with duck. Was disappointed because I’ve not ordered duck for ages but understand mistakes happen. Called up expecting to be credited next time I ordered for duck to be told that they won’t refund for crispy duck just for sauce...who eats it’s with sauce! It went straight in bin! They said I could drive back to pick up sauce but then the rest of my food would have gone cold or they could send it out with driver but I’d have to wait. Very disappointed they know I was a loyal customer but just kept saying owned won’t do it. I will never order from here again

Don't order from this takeaway!!! They have a shocking service and customer service on the telephone. I was very rudely spoke too by a women on the phone. The food took over an hour and 15 minutes to come and I am only round the corner, same postcode nearly that's how close it is!!! The food came cold and over done, inedible for my 2 children. So overall dissapiontment, and I shall not order from them again. I'll go to jade House on bellhouse Road. I hope I sway others from using this takeaway and save you from wasting your money!!!! I know where in lockdown and things can get quite busy but really disappointed in the orient I order my food at 5:30pm they said delivery would take an hour which was fine by me as I knew how busy they was getting but it’s now 9:14pm still no food! Tried ringing but line has been busy every time I’ve tried to ring! I know there food is good but the service at the min really bad! Can’t express how disappointed I am and as I’m writing this the delivery man has just turned up! Had to turn the food away as a result I feel horrible doing but I’ve been waiting 5 hour for the food! Not pleased at all

Didn't get what we ordered, after repeating the order and 10 people in the house checking it was right, 1 of the main dishes was missing and doubling up on an other rice dish, the lady on the phone was very rude and accused us all of lying, first time ordering here as fancied a change tastered ok but smelled stronge of vinegar, very disappointing . DO NOT ORDER HERE!

Used this takeaway for years takes a good hour or more every time to deliver but makes up for it with the taste, best Chinese in Sheffield I would say.

Shocking. King prawns in the sweet n sour balls still had the hard tails left on them. My 11 year old son almost choked!!!! Yes the servings are huge but huge of what??? Never again

Awful for anyone with a particular diet or allergy, as well as rude staff. I ordered a vegetarian mushroom chow mien, only to find a piece of meat in it (my boyfriend couldn’t even identify what meat this was). When I ring up to tell them, they say that I have to come back to collect a new one although they were the ones to make the mistake. When I get there and ask for a refund or part refund, they completely refuse and laugh at me for suggesting this.

Unidentifiable meat found in a vegetarian chow mien, the staff laughed at us for suggesting a refund, even if only for the single chow mien. Bearing in mind that we also had to come back out of our way to collect a new dish.

Staff were rude and unsympathetic towards us, for their mistake of putting meat (unidentifiable) in a vegetarian dish. We had to come out of our way to collect a new one and the staff refused to give a small refund and laughed in our faces for suggesting this.

This place has been our go-to takeaway for years. Food is always very tasty and the portions are perfect. Staff are friendly and the delivery drivers are great. Never had a bad meal.

Gone down hill to what it used to be. Reheated chips and chicken cooked to resemble rubber.

Deliver a little longer than states but food arrived sufficiently warm. Was nice food no complaints. Good value for money. Would use again and recommend.

First time ordering from here and I was blown away. I never leave reviews for things but felt the need here. The chow mein was best I'd ever had. The beef was soft and melted In the mouth, and the noodles were really tasty. Impressed and will order again!!!
