Lee Garden in East Hertfordshire

£9.50 for quarter duck, it was burnt dry and tasteless. Shop front is quite dirty fish tank stinks and poorly maintained.

Came to get a chinese as staying at a hotel nearby however when I arrived at 21:45 the place was closed surprisingly, considering it says 10pm is closing time and it's a Friday. very disappointing

First time getting a takeaway from here, usually go to Golden Dragon in Harlow or China City in Stortford. Tops both of them, very nice food.. Hot still after getting home with a 15 minute drive.. Very reasonably priced. Would recommend and definitely coming back. Plus it’s one of few that open on a Tuesday.

Used to be hands down the best chinese takeaway/delivery in town. Can be quite varied now and the delivery can be quite slow.

Don’t bother with this place. We have been loyal customers for 4+ years, supporting the business through Covid etc. However the customer service of this place has really gone down hill. Following a missed call, we returned the call to have an incompetent girl answer the phone and say she’s mucked up the order and we’d have to wait another 60 minutes for our delivery (after waiting an hour). She gave us all the wrong information and when I questioned it, she put her superior on the phone. Rather than him understand that it was his colleagues misunderstanding, he was rude and confrontational saying that I was holding up the line and I was impacting his small business, going on to spout nonsense about whether I want him to sack his colleague. This guy was immature and so unprofessional. I understand Saturdays are busy, but if you can’t take the heat of the kitchen then you’re in the wrong job Small businesses don’t operate without loyal customers. We won’t be returning

The Starters were not great as all of them tasted of over used oil so were greasy. The mains were better but not sure if I'd go back

Delivery guy was polite. Food.Chips rock hard couldn't eat them..Lamb was full of fat..again in the bin! Wife's chow main.. over cooked We always order here and give tips every time. Not happy as not cheap plus charge to deliver to Bishops stortford. APOLOGIES WAS ROAST PORK NOT LAMB AS STATED.

Fantastic old school Chinese food

Ordered Tuesday (not usually) Sweet and sour chicken balls with Singapore noodles, really good in the past, however, this time it was awful. Chicken balls were like a day old, not crispy and chicken inside was like a manufactured chicken mix! The Singapore noodles had no meat or prawns in, absolutely awful, is there a different chef on on a Tuesday? it was absolutely gross! will not use again.

Not bad first experience but I’ve never had a burnt chow mein before! Still tasted good. The other dishes were fine and maybe the best Sesame prawn toast available 👍 Generous portions too. I do think it’s a bit expensive compared to others in this area .

Just got a delivery placed an hour ago. Chomping tasted burnt and ribs tasteless .sauce so runny . Chicken balls were the best bit . The manager was rude toy partner who phoned to them . No one wants to complain but it definately was the worst we've tasted . Unfortunately we won't be coming back or ordering again

I’m sorry but the reviews on this take away must be from inexperienced Chinese eaters. The food was awful. Fancied a change and ordered on the back of the reviews. It was tasteless and oily and not that reasonably priced either. So disappointed. Feel sick now. Stick to China City, the best in town

By far the best tasting and freshest Chinese food not just in Stortford but surrounding areas (Stansted) that I’ve had outside of China town itself. Also despite some challenges around my delivery (my fault) Lee Garden still went the extra mile to ensure I got my favourite Chinese food, on time and piping hot. That’s how service should be done! Thank you guys and look forward to the next one ;)

First takeaway from here, it was hot, good portions, thoroughly enjoyed every dish

I found Lee Garden online, the lady who took my order on the phone was very courteous and pleasant. The food arrived super quickly and it was delicious. I ordered the Salt & Pepper Chicken Wings, Special Fried Rice, Beef with Green Pepper in Black Bean Sauce, and Singapore Style Vermicelli Noodles with egg, chicken, ham, pork, shrimp & chilli. The portion sizes were pretty large and the prices were very reasonable. They have a good team of people that deliver great customer service, from the lady who takes your order on the phone, to the man that delivers the food to your door. I will definitely be ordering from this place again. They are now my go to Chinese Takeaway in Bishop’s Stortford.

Best Chinese in Stortford by far

Walked in by chance as I was hungry and it was on the way and it is the best Chinese I've had outside of London's China Town. It's truly beautiful everything was perfect!

Excellent food, great value too

A very average looking takeaway on a local estate which happens to serve exceptional chinese food to take away. The various duck dishes are really very good indeed and as good as ( and better than) many sit down dishes I have had in expensive chinese restaurants.

Absolutely love this place we moved here just over a year ago and discovered lee garden on a walk one night now we NEVER order Chinese food from anywhere else my husband said he’d even let me have forever off cooking if he could have lee garden every night hmm not sure that’s a compliment to my cooking but I’m guessing it’s a great review from him too for these guys

I told my husband “what a shame I’m so full that I can’t have more of this lovely food!!” Absolutely delicious! Not sure if it was the lockdown break or what but it tasted better than ever. We had a feast with different dishes and they all were stunningly delicious!!

Not good.....still waiting for food because it somehow got delivered to number 40 and not 14!momentof course number .so when or if it does arrive i hope i have maybe a little freebie in there??? Or maybe a fiver back for the extra looooong wait???...if so i will use then again because the food is good to be fair....just a big question mark over the service at the moment.....
