Beautiful pub, friendly staff, nice fish and chips.

Absolutely loving it since the referb. The team are fantastic, pub is spotless, food tasty. Sometimes food can take a bit longer than expected but that's what you get for having a busy pub. Just what you want for a local.

Very bad and unclean. Tables were sticky and the food was not that great. Walked up to the bar and there was no staff and most weren’t welcoming.

I happened to find this pub when I dropped off my kid at a nearby art class. This pub is in a residential area and might not be a destination unless you're a local. However, I was impressed by their service, table settings, and cleanliness—it is spotless! The staff is friendly and well-mannered. The food is on the better side of average, but I only ordered chips today. They seem to be part of a large chain, so the menu items might not be original but are safe choices. They have an ordering app, which is handy for first-time visitors and people with language barriers like me. Overall, this is a very nice pub.

Lovely place to eat and drink and meet friends. Staff are always brilliant and ashleigh is fantastic!

Testy food and brilliant service, Tan was super helpful and fast with the food and drinks.

The food there is actually delicious, but I waited at least 35 minutes for the food to arrive.

We attended the Halloween party at the weekend was lovely lots for kids to do well run and staff were lovely. Food is also great kids loved it so thank you Lisa and team will be back again soon.

Overall its a decent place with good grub, friendly staff and decent amount of seating. The only let down was the size portions, I did expect a little bit more and the kids pizza was essentially a Chicago town deep dish thing, the place didn't seem that busy on the day and we waited over a hour for 2 kids meals and 2 adult meals and when it came out I was a little disappointed with the size of the portions

Went to the Bottle for a family event with approx. 40 people. Took the staff's recommendation on the amount of food to order, which worked out perfectly. Food was very good and plentiful. Staff were attentive and understanding, making the event far less stressful than it could have been, even stocking up on drinks we knew would be in demand. Would highly recommend.

I went in for one of their lunch offers. When I ordered I asked whether they offer their lunch deal which was confirmed. So I ordered the main and the drink and instead of asking what side I wanted with that got charged for the main and the drink individually and ended up paying more than with the side under the lunch deal offer. When pointing this out that it got shrugged off instead of trying to remedy this.

Great Service Friendly informative staff. The food is good will go there again. They now have Redtooth Poker League on a Monday night. 😀

Bar staff not that quick or friendly long faces, need more bar staff on event nights. Or your standing to be served for way too long.

Vegan food not particularly strong but not bad for a place that predominantly isn't a vegan or vegetarian restaurant. Nice chilled place and friendly staff. Been a few times and will be back :)

Since the renovations its absolutely lovely. The food is fantastic. They now have poker nights, quiz nights, games night and a very nice sunday roast.

Ordered a big breakfast on Saturday morning. After 40 minutes there was no sign of my order being ready or even prepared. Had to leave to find other place for breakfast

We had the wake for a family funeral here and it was the perfect place for our 70 guests. The food was plentiful and we were able to use the TV for video and photographs. The service was excellent and the staff could not have been more helpful.

Went on 'make that move' Dj event and it was brilliant, venue nice size with plenty room dance , sit inside and out ,good vibes and staff work very efficiently behind the bar

Polite& friendly Staff that probably needed more help at the evenings busiest time

Pub has been recently refurbished (for Euros 24) but service is often poor and they are forever running out of beers. Range of beers is also disappointing - just the usual Greene King stuff, nothing a little bit special.

I recently visited the Leather Bottle for lunch with my brother before attending a football match in London. The food was fantastic, we chose off of the lunch menu and enjoyed a very reasonably priced wrap, chips and pint (highly recommend Level Head IPA). We were served by Lou who was super friendly, attentive and made our visit very enjoyable. Lou seemed to know all the locals and their orders which is always a good touch. Landlady Ash has put together a great team since the pubs re-opening and each time I have visited the atmosphere has been brilliant, even in the daytime hours. All round top pub and would recommend to anyone contemplating a visit.

Ashleigh and her team are fantastic. There is a great atmosphere and banter with the regulars. Thursday is Quiz night which draws a good crowd. The food is very good. Great place to watch sport but recommend you book a table. Dog friendly.

Great local pub especially after the refurb. Lots of large TVs for sport fans and a decent food menu. Plenty of free parking in the area after 6pm too.

Been to this pub so many times and it's always great. The new look, and the brightness inside is refreshing. The bar staff are all fantastic, especially Aimee who is so attentive and friendly. Food is good too, highly recommend the loaded katsu fries and the tacos. If you're in the area, make sure to pop in for a pint or food!

You can’t eat food there.. it looks and tastes like plastic. Microwave warmed up chicken in tacos makes those dry. Loaded fries didn’t look/taste like loaded, but like chips with a bit of sauce..

I've just walked out of the Leather Bottle on Kingston road after waiting 15 minutes to be served. The three rounds we had previously took at least 10 minutes to be served each time one of use approached the bar. Two bar staff working on a busy Friday night! The new décor is impressive but the same old attitude to customer serves remains the same. I've been coming to this pub for the last 20 odd years as its my local but to be honest I've had enough! The only way to be served quickly is to stand directly in front of the bar staff how are utterly clueless as to who should be served first. Its the same old story despite new management. I stopped eating there years ago as they always run out off food during busy periods. Now I considering boycotting the place entirely. Come on Green King, sort this out for the locals or this place will end up deserted.....

Lovely welcoming pub. The food was brilliant and the service was exceptional, especially from Tracy and Lou.

Food is the worst I've had at any pub. Every aspect of the dish had an issue. Do not get the chicken, it was extremely tough and not edible. Fish was over fried and small. Chips were excessively covered in sea salt. Worst of all is the service. Do not expect to feel welcomed or treated well. You will be spoken at not to with no explanation/transparency regarding pricing. Staff chatting to each other about their shifts and swearing in front of customers. Highly unprofessional. Been to other greene king pubs and this is not it. Drinks are over priced at almost £7 a pint. Never coming back again. The place is dead with no one in there. Only good point is there is a TV to watch but I would have had a better experience at home.

Our local pub, we love it here, and the revamp is amazing! Everything looks fantastic and so happy with the extended and well put together outdoor seating areas, great space! Only critique is that there are a lot of non smoking areas outdoors 😅 more non smoking than smoking which is a shame for us 🤪

I used to frequent pub when my late mother moved into.a sheltered housing place 200yds from the pub, and my sistet would take mum there for a meal. He made sure every aspect of our meal was perfect, sharing recommendations with a warm and engaging approach. The food itself was delicious, well-prepared, and served promptly. Great beer, great service, but whoever renovated this place destroyed every single shred of character this once fantastic pub held. Zero life, old lady wallpaper, elevator music. Bring back the pool tables, bring back the dart boards, bring back the pub.

They are not very helpful when it comes to disabled they was ment to sort out a low table and chairs as all there chairs are stalls then I had to wait over 20 minutes for my friend to go to the next bar and get me a seat how bad is that and the man we know who dose the karaoke had to move his own table to set up his a quiment nerve coming back again

Wonderfully friendly local pub. Service with a bright smile and excellent choice of beers. Vegan menu quite limited but the rest of the pub grub is good. Prices very low, especially for Blue Light Card holders. Green King show they appreciate Our Emergency Services! Good on You!

My second visit to this pub and this time I tried the food. Had the chicken sharwarma tacos, which were quite nice. They had plenty of chicken and were nicely presented, but I feel they could have had more flavour.

I just wanted to write this review to congratulate Ashleigh and Greene King for the recent upgrade. Ashleigh and her team have been amazing and the footfall will reflect this. Good food. Great atmosphere. Fun and friendly. So good that the recently elected MP Paul Kohler chose the LB for his celebration drinks following recommendations of his campaign team. Came in before the refurb for a drink with my partner, and decided to check it out again after a friend told me the place had been done up. We were served promptly by Katie who was friendly and efficient, and the refurb is gorgeous!

The Leather Bottle has been a pub I’ve frequented for many years and having just undergone refurbishment, I was keen to re-visit. Entering the pub this Sunday, 16.06.2024, I wasn’t disappointed by the new decor. William Morris and Wimbledon tennis had been acknowledged in the new look which was smart and inviting. However, having arrived at 2:45pm, my husband and I had planned to eat straight away and tried to place our food and drink order together upon arrival, only to be told the kitchen couldn’t take any more orders until 4pm. Deciding to wait, we ordered drinks. At 4pm we placed our food order. The food finally arrived at 5:40pm; almost three hours after we first tried to order. The food was OK, but my husband’s chips were only just warm. It was Fathers Day, there were three games of the Euros on the TV and the pub was very busy, but surely common sense says to ensure there are enough staff employed to cope with demand? A three hour wait for food is totally unacceptable. I’m very disappointed in the new Leather Bottle and won’t be returning too soon. ☹️

Had lunch with my eldest daughter. Have not been in this pub since 1976. Just had a refurb and it looks top notch. Service great, good selection of ales, lagers and ciders, let alone the spirits.

Do not go here, walk into Wimbledon and find a different pub instead. Some of the staff here are nice and clearly trying but the rest of them are incredibly unwelcoming and rude to the students who come here. We have been scammed multiple times where we have all paid different prices for the exact same drink, being told that the prices on the menu aren’t right and the drink is actually over £3 more expensive. The older lady who seems to be a manager is incredibly rude and unhelpful, storming away in a huff when we try to question why we have been charged extra for a drink. The decor is awful even after the renovations and the atmosphere is terrible. Do not go here you will be overcharged and then refused any help when you try and question why and seek a refund. Be wary that they will either do anything to deny you a refund or lie about the fact they have refunded you.

This pub has been transformed to a different level, food although took a while to arrive was good, good selection of drinks and friendly staff.

This pub just does not seem to improve The seats / chairs are tatty and bare foam spewing out from most cushions It seams the keg beer is never ready Coffee machine not working...or is it? Doors open at 12 noon but no hand-wash in ladies dispenser and apparently no paper in men's toilet Never enough staff working Such a shame its in a prime location with no other pubs to compete with ..maybe this is the problem We have now stopped trying the food there is always a problem This pub is run down and in need of full restoration

Home to the rudest barman in Wimbledon. Honestly, it feels like every customer is an annoyance to him. He's openly rude and abrasive. He's the northern guy with the glasses. Really, really rude to customers. He needs to sort his attitude out. He's been rude on multiple visits. Other than him, nice pub.

We are (semi) regulars here. This pub is a great space for a get together, excellent value, offers the standard pub grub, is friendly and is well equipped for watching sports. On this occasion, I cannot thank James enough for coming to my rescue. He went out of his way to accommodate us all at the last minute for a big birthday celebration, ensuring we had a table reserved and even organising food. He was professional, welcoming, helpful and most of all very patient! So refreshing to have someone who focuses on excellent customer service. Thanks also to Justin who was practically running the busy bar alone for a significant part of the afternoon (more staff please GK). The Leather Bottle is one of the last of the proper pubs.

Really friendly, welcoming pub. We visited on a Friday night and they had a really good selection of wines, James recommended a really nice one for us to try which was very reasonably priced. We will definitely be coming back here.

I drink and eat in the Leatherbottle from time to time and always enjoy the experience. The food is always good. There is a good selection of beers at reasonable prices for a pub so close to Wimbledon. Therefore, I decided to have my retirement drink there. I asked them to provide a buffet for 35 people. They told me to order for half that many as the portions are very generous. We did that and the food was excellent. All of our guests raved about the food. There was plenty to go round. In fact towards the end of the night we asked other customers not in our group to help themselves so none of it went to waste. The staff were very helpful and attentive on the night. Would highly recommend for a function.
