Really loved the food here and took husband last week. Convinced him to get Spanish eggs as friend always gets them and look lovely with a big portion which makes husband happy. Was disappointed on this visit. Portion a lot smaller. Less bread and he said there was not much black pudding in it. Definitely not the same as previous visits which has put me off as it’s a travel for us to visit.

Just received some flowers from here. Very impressed with them. Lovely arrangement. Our Daughters, son-in-laws and granddaughters. send them. If I did flower arrangements I would use Leaf and Bean.

After checking TripAdvisor for Dog Friendly cafes in the Washington area, we opted for Leaf and Bean.I visited along with my mother in law and my dog for a late lunch It does very clearly state it's dog friendly so not sure how anyone can get confused 🤔 Lovely place, spotlessly clean and very friendly servers. I went for the Christmas pie & a side of roast potatoes. M-in-L opted for a ham sandwich. Both were excellent and very good value. Since it was my first visit, I persuaded myself to try one of their home made cakes, it'd be rude not to! Coffees and tea were also very good. My dog loved the doggy sausage treat they kindly gave her, thank you for that. In summary, a lovely place , lovely people who run it and great quality food and drink.

Called in for coffee and cake which was good and reasonably priced. However I didn't realise it was place that allows dogs. Now I like dogs I've had dogs but I don't want to have my coffee and cake with them. So it was my first time and my last.

Went here for a take out breakfast the staff were lovely and very accommodating ! Me and my husband both got breakfast burritos which took a little longer than expected to cook but staff kept updating us what was going on and the wait was worth it! The lady gave us some scones for the wait which were enjoyed later in the day and were lovely!

Needed somewhere to pop in out of the rain and found this gem in the middle of an industrial estate. Very attractive cafe, welcoming and friendly staff, and the food is reasonably priced. We had two panini's, chicken cheese and BBQ sauce, and chicken cheese and chilli sauce. Both were delicious, hot and decently sized. The side of home cooked chips were gorgeous! Can't fault them, a shame we're only passing through the area or else we'd be regulars!

We have just been to Lwaf and Bean. This was the 1at time me and my husband had been, caught and granddaughters had been before. We decided to have lunch together this afternoon. Upon entering I said to my husband that it felt very cosy. We all ordered our lunch, which we found to be very good. My husband went to pay and a member of staff said they try and use all local people for their suppliers. So keep up the good work. My husband and I will be back. Also they are dog friendly.

Amazing! Clare and her team provide an exceptional service! The food is to die for. It may not be in the perfect location but I’d rather go to somewhere great than somewhere on my doorstep that’s poor!

I’ve had the pleasure of tasting a few of the mouth watering treats for here. The jam and cream scones are gorgeous, so light and fluffy, and the cheese scones are rich and tasty. My personal favourite is biscoff and white chocolate cookie pie. Warmed in the microwave for a few seconds at home, with a cup of tea is my idea of heaven! The staff are fantastic and always go above and beyond. Well worth a trip. You will not be disappointed

My brother has tried just about every Indian restaurant in the North East of England, and I have been with him to a number of what he considers to be amongst the best - which means they have to be good value too. For comparison, we also like Red Hot in Darlington, Ashoka in Seaham and any of the Mumbai chain (Haswell, Hartlepool etc). We go to Tashan for the FOOD. How lovely to be able to have an Indian meal without feeling guilty - the curries are healthy, not laden with fat, and none of the starters are greasy. I love the authentic street food options such as sweet potato chaat, and there are a number of more unusual "home style" dishes - including Indian desserts. Depending on how hungry you are and what you fancy you can have a very filling four course set meal (good value "early bird" available), just a main course, or you can mix and match starters, street food, even fast food (an Indian veggie style burger in a bun with masala chips is a very tasty alternative to a McDonald's!) The Indian breads are light and crisp. Tashan also serve the best mango lassi I have had anywhere - really smooth and fruity, served by the glass or in a big jug. Don't judge this restaurant by the location - the food is of a very high standard and nicely presented, the service is friendly and attentive and the atmosphere very relaxed (you don't need to dress up!). Currently my favourite Indian restaurant! Tashan deserve 5 stars for service, food and value (TripAdvisor button not working to give this rating).

Been coming here for 20 year and today was the first time it felt odd, filling wasn’t the usual size and the woman serving oldish women had a right attitude shaking her head. I had to ask for a bag 4 times to her disgust. Still won’t stop be coming but gutted.
