A very small intimate restaurant offering excellent service and food. Interesting tapas full of strong flavours all perfectly cooked. Thank you for giving us a lovely evening.

Exceptional service and incredible food. Not the biggest restaurant in the world but size really isn’t everything! The atmosphere was warm and cosy and, although the menu isn’t huge, you’ll want to eat everything twice The mushroom dish is world class and the Malbec was a perfect companion for the evening! Thank you and congratulations on creating a little piece of perfection in Wareham.

Absolutely fantastic evening, in every way…. We took our parents who’ve lived in Spain for over 20years. Both thought the Tapas we had were the most authentic they’ve had in the UK…. It was all delicious and obviously home made / cooked…. We had the Pan con Tomate, Patatas Bravas, Fried mixed fish in light tempura ( prawns, cod and salmon), Mushrooms in Paprika Cream sauce, Prawns in garlic, Meatballs….portion size good… The chef/ owner came out after to check all ok and asked what we liked best. We liked it all!!! Nothing was overcooked and tasted fresh… lovely setting and feel to the place. Service was friendly, relaxed and helpful… Can’t recommend highly enough. We travelled from Wimborne to find an authentic Spanish restaurant, and will definitely do again.

Had a lovely meal at Le Petit Vin. Pete was an exceptional Chef/Host for the evening. He made us feel very welcome, and the service was excellent. Really tasty food and a great selection of wine. The cosy restaurant is suitable for couples or small groups. I would highly recommend this little gem in Wareham.

This tiny restaurant is absolutely delightful. The tapas menu has all your favourites plus a few as well as a comprehensive wine menu. The cosy setting was perfect for a rainy evening. You couldn't want more from your hosts who were incredibly accommodating. Will certainly be back.

We had a great evening here, we were a group of 6 so had to eat outside in a lovely enclosed courtyard. This is a tiny place but that is part of its charm. So booking is essential. Food was excellent, a great selection of tapas plates for sharing. Wine was good too and the service was very welcoming.

arrived here looking to order a pizza, 3 guys behind the counter just chatting amongst themselves, completely ignoring me for 10 mins and then finally took my order, said it would be a certain time, it took even longer and when it did arrive it was very average, do yourself a favour and go the Square and Compass for Pizza, they are much better and the staff are nice.

Went to one of Christian’s tasting Tuesdays with my sister and didn’t know what to expect. He was testing a new menu and it did not disappoint! Fantastic quality of food paired with great conversation. A really special experience and would highly recommend to anybody with a love for food.

Finally.. somewhere in Swanage with real taste! The Sandwich Shed is a hidden gem. Run by a lovely couple who have crafted a small and delicious menu, made up of gourmet sandwiches. All on homemade focaccia, my favourite was the BBQ beef brisket served with sauerkraut, smoked cheese, crispy onions and homemade black garlic sauce. Accompanied by some freshly cooked skinny fries and smoky “shed” slaw and a drink from the pub in which the SS is situated, there is nothing to fault. Would highly recommend to anyone who enjoys home cooked, quirky food.

We had looked at the reviews & saw they were extremely good so we was really looking forward to a lovely breakfast, we live in Dorchester so it was a little bit of a drive, but we thought we would see what everyone was saying great things about this hidden gem. (But as soon as we arrived before 11am we was looking at the breakfast menu & about to sit down when the woman who was serving at the till overheard what we was saying about our breakfast order & she immediately said breakfast is finished, no sorry or anything, extremely rude & sharp. So we left never to return again.

Afternoon visit to this very busy tearoom. We shared a savory cream tea, 2 cheese scones with cream cheese and onion chutney plus another pot of tea and a generous slice of, Dorset apple cake. The scones were warm and lightand combined with the cheese and chutney was delicious. Apple cake moist and spicey. The leaf tea was good. Service was efflcient and friendly.
