Nice clean and fast. Had the pancakes, scrambled eggs and sausages with mint tea. My friend had eggs benedict and also a smoothie. Lovely local cafe. I'll definitely go back. Works out to around £10-15 pp.

Very disappointing. Chips cool and limp, burgers dry with minimal coleslaw side in thimble size dish. We found two splinters of bacon in the chicken and bacon panini.

The service , food and atmosphere was excellent. We have been here a few times now since I moved in the area. One memorable day we arrived quite later nearly closing time and it was Ramadan so the manager was about to head off but he stayed on to cook us a meal to take away. If you a coffee person they do the best coffee around, reminds me of the cafes in Paris. Well done guys keep it up.

Came here a few months ago once the restaurant scene was able to reopen during COVID. The staff weren't wearing masks at the same, which was worrying, but I had the most delicious Chicken escalope panini here and occasionally find myself thinking about it... Need to go back!!

This place does literally the best coffee of anywhere. Uncomplicated with little fuss. It’s hot and a great home blend and they are meticulous about cleaning and maintaining their machine. it’s the same every day - they don’t fiddle with it like some of these artisan coffee shops. I don’t live in croydon but I pass most days. Sometimes I drive here when I’m not due to be passing! Staff are great at their jobs, friendly and welcoming to everyone. Over the years I see all sorts of people here from every walk of life - families, groups of men, groups of women, parents with babies and people like me just wanting a quick breakfast coffee and wrap that is prepared just the way I like it every day. There’s a steady stream of people on their way to work grabbing the coffee. I think their best food centres around their Moroccan wraps. They look like they grill and cook things on site as I can smell it being prepared in the morning. I don’t eat the breakfast fry ups so I can’t comment on that. But the Coffee - See for yourself!

Spotlessly clean, warm, comfortable and welcoming, they also served about the best poached eggs ever. Worth the walk from the hotel for a much better breakfast at half the price.

Visited here as part of a large family group (9 of us). Very patient staff who gave us time to sort ourselves out before ordering. Paninis (chicken escalope and cheese) were good and freshly prepared. My children had ham and cheese paninis which were great. Food came out at the same time for everyone which was good. Overall a pleasant place to eat. Staff were very friendly and attentive.

Very nice cafe. Good service with excellent food and very good value for money. I will be returning for the eggs benedict with smoked salmon as it comes with properly made hollandaise sauce and not stuff out of a jar.

Went in for Lunch on a Saturday afternoon. The ambience is very cafe like and very homely. We ordered quite a few Moroccan mezes which all tasted really good. But the show stopper had to be their Lamb Tagines. It was succulent and perfectly well cooked. Highly recommend it. £33 for 4 people.

I had the Spanish Omelette served with salad and a reasonable portion amount of chips, served with Cappuccino. There was amazing service from when we entered to when we left. I was intrigued by the traditional artefacts and painting portraits displayed on the walls which give it a unique Moroccan theme. I am bound to visit Le Bon Cafe again very soon.

Really loved this place. After a long journey with the family, called in here for just a coffee and a cold drink. But after smelling the food on offer, we decided to make it an early lunchMy favourite was the coriander chicken and hummus Moroccan pancake. Could tell it was made with fresh ingredients, and lovely spices. The meatballs in the meatball pasta were beautifully flavoured too - not remotely the usual oregano and basil flavour you usually associate with pasta and meatballs. But so much better! The wraps too were apparently really delicious. Very friendly staff made this visit complete. The latte was average, but that's entirely forgivable, as for me this cafe will never be about the coffee. It's the meatballs that I'll remember most. And good value too.

The best tajine you'll get outside of Agadir! The place doubles as a regular cafe, sandwiches, teas etc, during the day time, or you can always pick from the small but perfectly formed Moroccan menu. The prices for the Moroccan menu are maybe a little higher than one would expect considering that the place does present like a normal cafe rather than a restaurant. Don't get me wrong, the food is absolutely worth it, but it's not the first place you'd think to go for a special occasion meal, for example, and that is a real shame, as the food amply deserves to have a lot more people try it!As for us, well, we love going there when we can. I recommend the kofta tajine (with egg, must have the egg!) and the chicken couscous is just delicious. The food in general is beautifully bursting with spices and flavours, but not too hot. If you can't go to Morocco, but crave its food, this is the next best thing. Give it a try!

Two friends and I went for brunch, I had a standard breakfast of egg, bacon, sausages etc and waitress had no problem in changing my order slightly. My two friends had eggs Benedict, one with bacon and the other with salmon. At first the hollandaise sauce looked too white but it tasted nice but not as rich as the typical sauce.service was prompt and polite, cafe nice and cleanI would definitely come here again and try something different

Nestled in the heart of Croydon's restaurant quarter, this charming open fronted cafe really is a little gem. My wife and I love to come here for lazy Sunday afternoon breakfasts, and always leave feeling pleasantly satisfied. The menu is an interesting mix of traditional cafe fare, as well as Moroccan food- which adds an interesting twist to your dining experience. They keep standard cafe hours (closed by 6pm) and a real plus point is that they accept card payments, which is something that I've never really seen in most cafes.I definitely recommend a visit.

Went for Sunday Family breakfast....staff were friendly, food good but not spectacular.Had the traditional English breakfast which was good, clean and edible. Coffee that came with the breakfast (included) was filtered and quite tasteless.WE did not partake in any Moroccan Dishes but perhaps on another time will. The waiter was from Bangladesh and the waitress from Spain !The restaurant is in the Food Zone in South Croydon and has many other venues vying for trade.

Lovely Moroccan dishes served at this restaurant located in South Croydon. I just wish more people would try the wonderful Moroccan food on offer rather than the ubiquitous all day English breakfast fare. Fresh ingredients are used here and it shows. The Coriander chicken pancakes with couscous, hummus and salad is a triumph.

Excellent value but the eggs with hollandaise sauce was a little disappointing. There wasn't much sauce and it wasn't hot enough. There were half a dozen of us having a meeting, and the staff got confused about who had ordered what. I don't have any complaints and may well go back if I'm in the area, but I won't make a detour to go there.

From the roadside, a cursory glance shows this establishment to appear English or French. I did not realize before ordering that my bacon and chicken was halal; labelling could be clearer. The cafe had a good ambience; the atmosphere made for a relaxing meal. Staff were polite, friendly and helpful. My server's English was weak and they were in no hurry to clear tables.Customer restroom facilities were fine.

Disappointed that the 'traditional' breakfast served turkey bacon without stating so on the menu. The food was well cooked but the only indication that it wasn't real bacon was the Halal symbol in Arabic in the corner of the menu. I didn't notice this before ordering, when the food arrived I discovered it was serving Turkey bacon and presumably non pork sausages. It should be labelled as such on the menu. Or it should not be labelled as a traditional breakfast!

Ate in here over a year ago & decided to go back today.Wow just as good.We had the meze to share. Wonderful flavours & textures. The Moroccan pancakes are divine. I had the coriander chicken pancake, this was served with humus & couscous. At under £5 an absolute bargain-fest!!!The tagines are superb and again very reasonably priced. The Moroccan mint tea is a must!! One piece of advice - ask for a pot. This is served in a silver Moroccan teapot with small glasses to drink out of.We ate & drank our fill for less than £38 for three people. Fantastic!!Staff are superb. The owner takes great pride in his fresh produce and is more than happy to explain dishes & ingredients.Would highly recommend.Booking a must as this is a small cafe and is very popular.

I've visited this excellent little cafe twice in the last couple of weeks - both times for breakfast with friends. Staff are friendly. Cafe is beautiful and clean - much nicer than most cafes. Breakfast menu is surprisingly generous. I had the vegetarian option and it was BIG, HOT AND DELICIOUS! I can't wait to come back and try their main menu. They are also very patient with children - another massive positive. Definite thumbs up - MUST VISIT.

Disappointed that allergies do not seem to be taken seriously. Despite being sent a questionnaire prior to dining asking if we had any allergies and the menu appearing to state the allergens in items, ie GF, we were surprised to receive our desserts and find they had nuts on and around them. These were not on the menu. It is frightening eating out with a food allergy. This is a great restaurant, but they need to improve their standards in this area.

The food is just exquisite. I just can't get enough. My favourite restaurant in Surrey by far x Mind u, I haven't tried that other Mediterranean restaurant opposite the old Gipsy Hill Police station. The chefs cook the fresh food in front of you and cook it according to your personal palette x
