The service from Reza was perfect: careful, polite, calm - we didn’t feel rushed, all queries were handled with grace, and as someone with a nut allergy, it can be nerve-wracking dining out but I felt completely at ease. The olives, mackerel, duck, and creme brûlée were all cooked to perfection and the atmosphere here is great for a date. The ceiling is a brilliant conversation piece, the music is calm, and the location was perfect. Many thanks to all the staff!

This little gem of a restaurant is worth a visit , not least because of the two charming waiters. My phone was out of charge and they charged it for me. I loved the decor and atmosphere with the many quotes on the ceiling. We had a lovely meal . I had pasta and my husband salmon - both delicious . Portions are generous. We enjoyed our experience very much. We will visit again if we return to London.

We have been to Savoir Faire for many years and it has changed over time, but the quality of the cooking is still excellent. They now provide Italian meals as well as French. We stuck to the French. I had a delicious duck magret which was beautifully cooked and served with interesting vegetables. My husband had the chicken supreme, which was also extremely good. I chose chocolate mousse for a dessert, but did not want any cream on it. The waiter kindly added sliced strawberries instead. The service was efficient and friendly. We will certainly return.

We came along on a Sunday afternoon with an easy to book, on the day Groupon. One of the best Groupon deals we have ever used. Remarkable value. We both had a lovely glass of wine (well, two each actually!) and a main meal each. Our dishes were 1, a warm chicken salad which was delicious and had lots of chicken! and 2, a very tasty French Carbonara that had lots of cheese sauce and lardons. Two very substantial and delicious meals. Photos below On top of that, the service was super friendly and there was some lovely background music. It was a thoroughly enjoyable experience and we will definitely be back. Well done to all, thank you!

Chose to go here on the strength of previous reviews to meet a friend who wanted to eat close to an Elizabeth line station. Walking along New Oxford Street from Tottenham Court Road, past all the chains operating behind large plate-glass windows, it was hard to believe that I was going to find a small bistro on the main road. It's located on the corner of a less prestigious block, but still has notably large windows on two sides. Arriving for an early dinner, first impressions were mixed. The decor is quirky and fun and the sole waiter tres chic, but the leather chairs are well past their best and the drinks menu dog-eared. However as the room filled up it felt increasingly warm and comfortable - indeed just as a bistro ought to be. The menu mostly comprises classic French bistro food, but with the odd addition of several pasta dishes. I had an entrecote steak with lightly seasoned chips and salad followed by a highly caramelised tarte tatin. Most of the wine selection is in a reassuring £20-30 for a bottle price range, with a few carafe and per glass options. We had a carafe of pretty good French merlot plus an additional glass for me that was generously poured. The service was slightly chaotic, but full on panache and everything (bar a diet coke) arrived in good time.

Thought based on other reviews this would be a good French bistro but was very disappointed. Wasn’t bad. Just not good. I should have known when a French bistro menu has pasta dishes, lamb moussaka and burger it wasn’t really French Smallest portion of lambs kidney ( maybe 5 half pieces in a think sauce) and frites that were more oven chips than fries! Yes it was a Sunday night but I was very disappointed based on the other reviews. Maybe they have not had proper French bistro food! .

Staff was courteous, but not very organized, which made the wait for food very long. Details that affected the impression further, were the lack of napkins on the table, no table water with the wine, no salt or pepper within reach. We were promised that those items were going to be brought to the table. But we ended up fetching them ourselves. Food was not bad, but nothing to write home about. Seasoning was sparse, salt was lacking badly. Ambience was affected by the disc jockey competing with the toddlers of young families. In the rather cramped space, this was bringing the sound volume up. Prices were reasonable for this kind of establishment.

The ambience was cozy. The service was ridiculously lacking. I understand it was NYE and it might had been understaffed. It was so difficult to get anyone’s attention to check on our order, let alone telling us they would be with us soon. The food was alright. I honestly can not recall being left alone for that long in any restaurant. The meal took three hours to finish when we finished entrees in about the first hour. I couldn’t even get my coffee. It was manageable to me as most patrons had finished their meals on the ground level.

The restaurant decor has been left unchanged since the 90’ … chairs are ripped and stained, the walls seem crumbly, the lights are broken… the waiters are forgetful, we were asked for our order 3 times because they ‘forgot’ what we ordered. I didn’t see them taking any notes .. perhaps this would be a solution .. they also came with the wrong order a couple of times …the food was ok but highly overpriced for what it is .. how this place is still in business is a mystery…

We are so happy we came across charming little place. Everything was just perfect, the décor, the service and the food. We ordered the French onion soup (which for the first time I've ever ordered it - suitable for vegetarians - most French onion soups have beef stock in the US). Then we ordered the caramelize onion and brie tartlets and lastly we ordered the Moules Marinieres - which was mussels in wine sauce, plus a side of spinach mushroom risotto. Everything was delicious and wonderful! We would definitely recommend this restaurant.

The romantic ambiance and unique French bohemian style of Savoir Faire lends itself to feeling like a true European escaping from London’s hustle-bustle. Whilst the 3 day corner window bay offers for a pleasant view of the city passer bys and red buses, you get to witness the lights yet feel like you’re in your own world. Excellent starter selections, provided by a lovely red wine, we were talked through each delicacy, the flavours and recommendation, from our lovely manager at service, Emrihan. We tasted a mixture of the fine seas food dishes, poultry and in-house gravies, alongside a toasted on the spot crème brulée. An ideal spot to choose for the winter season in central london, not to mention a very cozy, personal, dining space located on the lower floor, decorated in French interior design and art work. Paris at home!

We visited this restaurant a few years ago and when in the area we looked forward to a return visit. Our waitress was delightful, very welcoming and friendly. We had a lovely window seat which was lovely to watch the world go by. Our starters were delicious, chicken liver parfait and blowtorched mackerel fillet, perfectly sized portions. I had an entrecôte steak with garlic butter and fries, I enjoyed it, however it was a little chewy in places. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his chicken supreme with parmentier potatoes, wilted spinach and wild mushroom sauce. Sadly the service from the waiter who appeared a little later during our visit wasn’t as great, his phone certainly took priority over diners. A decent meal. Tender steak and consistent service would add the missing extra star.

The food was good and not too expensive and the wine is palatable. Plaease be careful, you may get burned with the flambe crepe. You may be presented with an extra liqueur which appears to be 'in the house' - it's not! The extra alcohol may cause you to wave your credit card without carefully checking the transaction total matches the bill total. And, adding a voluntary tip may cause extra indigestion when you sober up. Caveat emptor as they say!

Very few customers, "french ambience" seemed to be solely playing a classical french commercial radio station. Paper table covering and serviettes. Three friends and I ate here, just over a week ago, after a visit to the British Museum which is extremely close. The manager/maitre d', who is both welcoming and helpful, looked after us very well. We were given a lovely table (perfect for conversation ) in this bright and amusingly decorated bistro. We are all foodies so the important thing, of course, without which this review would not have been written, was the quality of the food which was both authentically French, fresh and yummy. Add to that an enjoyable red wine recommended by the manager, and, voilà, a recipe for a very pleasant lunch meeting place, and an address to put in the diary for the next time we are in the area.

We went on a Monday evening as we had something on at the British Museum. It was a pleasure to return to this charming restaurant. Both courses were delicious and well priced for the quality.

My husband and I used a Groupon Voucher not knowing what to expect for food quality. We were not disappointed. Absolutely delicious and well presented lunch. Our server was lovely - polite, efficient and knowledgeable. We will visit again. Wonderful lunch.
