been here several times at the start of an organised walk, always good service, lovely coffee and toast

The small Lazio restaurant is on the Minories about 1 mintues' walk from either Tower Hill or Tower Gateaway station. It is open for brakfast and afternoon later lunch only, we were staying room only at the adjacent Travelodge and went ion fro breakfast. Nice seatin garea although everyone else came in was looking for food to go. Very noce taosted borwn bread with sausage and egg for breaskfast as my wife took a very white very soft tuna roll to break the fast! Ncie teas and latte For lunch it looked to have a good selection, breaded chicken escalopes, and is very much in the Italianate vein of the tavola calda or canteen like the Italian Autogrill franchise. You get charged £20 toi check in to adjacent Travelodge before 3 p.m.. If this is you, I suggest you jump in and spend £20 on lunch at Lazio and keep Travelodge to three ; what we would do next time!

Visited this shop and was immediately greeted with the warm welcome. Staff were friendly and asked about my day. The food was prepared in front of me and I did not wait too long. The food was good quality and value. Would recommend to pay a visit for your good

Called in here for a take out sandwich. Perhaps expectations were high, but for Italian deli sandwich it was pretty uninspiring. Hate to say it, but for the money, I'd prefer a chain sandwich.

Great little place for either breakfast or lunch. Regularly get my breakfast here but lunch has lots of options too. Lots of sandwiches as well as pastas! Able to go half and half on the pasta which is great, all for a reasonable price too. Today I went for half bolognese and half potato with cheese and bacon! Really friendly staff too, nothing is ever enough.

The wife and I are in London for our 30th anniversary and have been walking miles and miles for the last three days. On our way to scout out the church we attended tonight, we walked right past Lazio around 1 pm. Never heard of it before. Said, what the heck. Super glad we did. She got a salami and cheese sandwich, I got chicken with crispy bacon. Very affordable, the two guys who run the joint were really friendly and fun, the toasted sandwiches were fantastic. So far we've had a lot of luck with food in the city, and this place just added to that.

Es un lugar donde comer rápido y barato. No es cómoda de una calidad increíble, puedes comer pasta, sándwiches y cosas así. La pasta la tienen toda lista solo para servirla y calentarla . El sándwich tienes una amplia selección para decidir y es tipo sub.

Really friendly people who told us to take our time, pasta looks incredible but we went for sandwiches / ciabattas which were equally incredible , great filling and beautifully baked bread at affordable prices Superb

We needed to have early breakfast on Sat and found lots of places were either closed or open at 9. We saw this shop opened at 7:30am so we rushed in. Flexible menu with very good service 👍 We ordered toasted sandwich and coffee which were really delicious! Price was inexpensive. Highly recommended!

Sunday morning on the day of the London marathon and with few breakfast options we stumbled across this place. Others obviously appreciate it as it was quickly busy. Straightforward breakfast menu from full English to delicious Italian alternatives. I had the scrambled eggs with Parma ham on toasted ciabatta. Superb. Coffee was excellent too. Prompt and friendly service. Try the pastries!

We had an excellent lunch at a very reasonable price. Staff is very friendly. Deli style sandwiches, hot pastas, multiple versions of hot jacket potatoes.

On our way to a different breakfast place, my colleague and I saw this place and decided to pop in. They have many options, you can choose what you want. The prices are inexpensive, especially relative to the other places in the neighborhood. The service is great, the people are really sweet and the service is fast. I like cleanliness and it was actually fairly clean. Only reason 4/5 is because it's not a place I left saying "one of the best meals I have had in a while." For a fast breakfast/sandwich place it definitely gets 5/5 from me.

Now, I have to say I was mislead by the name of this place as I thought that this would be an Italian bar, but it's not. Nevertheless, this place serves quite a good breakfast.

Nach dem Besuch der Tower Bridge suchten wir nach einer Gelegenheit zum Snacken. In der Minories fanden wir das Lazio. Die Mitarbeiter sind zuvorkommend und halten gerne einen kleinen Plausch mit den Gästen. Die Speiseauswahl reicht über Pasta, Pizza, Sandwich und Salat. Die Pasta Arrabiata war allerdings nicht pikant und die Pasta eher fad. Die Sandwiches hingegen waren pikant und lecker. Unser Favorit war das Sandwich mit Thunfischsalat (nicht zu verwechseln mit Italian Tuna).

Cada vez que visito Londres, siempre me quedo en esta área, y siempre voy aquí al menos una vez para el desayuno. Está bien, el servicio es excelente, los chicos detrás del mostrador siempre son alegres, y a los 6. 85 para esto con una gran taza de té, valor espléndido.

Alloggiando al Premier Inn Tower Hill a 2 min abbiamo trovato questo bar dove, oltre allle tipiche colazioni inglesi, che non abbiamo provato, c'è la possibilità di farti fare panini con quello che vuoi. Noi abbiamo provato le baguette e le ciabatte con tacchino, roastbeef, tonno, prosciutto cotto. Prodotti freschi e molto buoni. Personale molto cordiale.

He parado a comer aquí porque estaba todo muy lleno alrededor. Me a atendido un personal portugués muy amable y simpático. Aunque la comida no fue nada especial pude descansar y comer algo rápido.

Entramos en el restaurante más cercano, esperando comida bastante mediocre. Sin embargo, cuando mi lasaña llegué encontré que estaba muy bien preparado, lleno de sabores italianos auténticos y fragancias exquisitamente aromático. Para un italiano como yo, era increíble comer alimentos que me recordó mucho de casa. Lazio es un restaurante italiano situado cerca de Tower Hill. Es el lugar perfecto para comer con varias opciones de alimentos frescos. Flavourless carbonara swimming in cheap vegetable oil. I won't be back. Pity, the area needs a decent Italian.

Pretty good sandwich, quick and good service. Inside there is plenty of seating, even at the lunch-time rush. They did forget to add cheese to my sandwich, and put tomatoes when I said not to. They offer a selection of hot meals as well, desserts and lots of drink options. Have eaten here several times and would return here again for a quick meal at a reasonable price.

If you are a business traveler to London city, you know that the lunch is a sandwich. I am sure you have heard a number of times "let's grab a sandwich for lunch". If you are in the old financial district of the city (near Fenchurch Street Station or Leadenhall Street), this place is the best option to pick up your sandwich. Plenty of options for vegetarians like me too.

Looks good from the outside......but the quality of the food isn't great. Ingredients are just a bit too cheap. Shame, it would nice to stumble on a family run place that competed with the likes of Pret and Eat on price and quality.

We were staying in a nearby hotel and chose to have breakfast here. There was a good choice of breakfast options. We settled on toased bagels with cream cheese and smoked salmon. We were served quickly and the bagels were delicious. Would return here next time we are in London.

We were starving at lunch time after having arrived at London. And this restaurant shows up at the right time. What's more, the food was deliciously prepared and for a very nice price, considering London. I loved it! Plus, a couple of people from the staff are Portughese!!

We were on our way to the Tower of London and we were looking for food. Unfortunately, it was a surprise to us that no restaurants (except for Starbucks and Pret a Manger) was open, until we found this! The food was excellent with lots of choices and the staff were all very friendly. Most importantly, the price was reasonable, thought it might be family business that keeps it running, but we saw many locals dining that like old customers. The style of the restaurant is quite old-schooled and when I asked the staff, he said they have 39 years history. I definitely recommend visitors to have lunch/dinner there.

We visited Lazio twice in one day as we stopped for breakfast and it was so good we returned for lunch. Excellent value but high quality ingredients and lots of choice. Staff were friendly and could not do more for you. Salad bar was excellent with every type of salad dressing, dips, sauces etc. Very very good. Highly recommend.

Located by the offices I visit when in London and open on weekend for the quintessential heart stopper brekky: The Full English. During the week I settle for a toasted egg and bacon on brown bread. Can't go wrong!!!

Stayed at the Indigo up the road and came here for breakfast with our little girl... we have been before and were not disappointed. Lovely cooked breakfast with lots of choices. Friendly staff. Good value for eating in London!

Just got a lasagna from lazio. They profess to cook using great ingredients and be traditional Italian.. One of the worst lasagna I have had.

Popped in for a coffee and then stayed for sandwiches as well. The staff were very friendly and there are a wide range of sandwich filling options to choose from. The sandwiches weren't massive but were freshly prepared and toasted. You can eat in or take away and there is a restaurant area downstairs too. Great to see such an independent cafe in an area increasingly monopolised by some of the ubiquitous chain cafes and was even nicer to find it open on a sunday when so many other places are closed that day in the city.

I am new to the area, just having changed jobs, and found that a lot of places around the tower hill/ Aldgate/ Liverpool St area are quite expensive if you lunch out most days.Lazio however is the best spot for lunch, they make fresh sandwiches with a range of not only fillings but breads too for even the hungriest sandwich hunter. They also do very good size portions of Italian pasta dishes.Best yet its all home made and the guys there are actually Italian.However what has impressed me today is the soup, something of which I fancy every now and again. The soups here are also home made and there are a few different ones available each day that have been made fresh. Its very nice to get a pot of soup and a small baguette for just £3 in the city.Highly recommend this as a lunch spot and even for a quick bite after work before heading out.

I spent four weeks working with City lawyers on a very complicated contract and am about to go back for another three weeks. There are many places to get lunch in this area as you would expect but I prefer this one. It is run by genuine Italians and provides a wide variety of sandwiches and drinks as well as half a dozen pasta dishes which are available to eat in or take away. The latter are very popular: I have even seen a couple of Chinese chaps eating them. This is what shows that they are real Italians: a request for 'a bit of each' is considered normal. My favourite is a Northern Italian dish of choped roast potatoes with cheese and bacon. Within its terms of reference this place scores top marks. I have not tried the restauarant menu but the decor is a bit basic although very clean.
