Lazeez Kurdish Charcoal Grill Restaurant in Liverpool

Great food at bargain prices. We were going to order two servings of Lamb Quzi, but our server suggested we share one and add a side of chicken skewers instead. He didn't want us to order too much food and have some of it go to waste. So, that's what we did and we were surprised at the amount of food placed before. Before we even had an opportunity to peruse the menu, 2 bowls of delicious lentil soup were placed before us. Then came our Quzi and the chicken. Wow! A plate of rice, a bowl of soupy beans, a small salad and naan accompanied the Quzi, which was very flavorful and fall off the bone tender. The only thing missing was a spoon for the sauce. The grilled chicken was cut up into nice sized chunks and served atop a piece of naan. The platter also included grilled tomatoes and salad. There was no way we could eat everything, but we did come close. All that plus two bottles of water for £24. Absolutely amazing.

Perfect kurdish and arab restaurant

Loved my experience at the restaurant. The shawarma chicken was the softest and juiciest I have had. The naan was soft and delicious and lentil soup was great too. On top of the great food, the staff were super friendly and accommodating.

The food is so good!! They offered me free soup, and even when I asked for another so they did not charge me, the prices are very good, the staff are very friendly, overall very good experience and delicious Halal food.

Come early in the morning at 7am. Have a very good halal breakfast food. All things in the menu only start at 10am, so we try the breakfast food. Its very good, very big quantity. Affordable price.

I recently visited Lazeez on London Road and tried their kebab and lamb qouzi – both were absolutely incredible! The flavours were authentic and rich, with the meat cooked to perfection. The lamb qouzi, especially, was tender and seasoned beautifully. If you’re looking for delicious Kurdish cuisine in Liverpool, Lazeez is the place to go. Highly recommended, and I’ll definitely be back!.

Today I went with family and friends and the food was absolutely amazing. I am a really picky eater and they made sure the food was exactly the way I wanted and I am really happy about that. The atmosphere was amazing and the food was served really quick. The prices are also really good. Overall I really liked this restaurant and I really think you should give it a try.

Disgusting food , you wast your money if go there

They had junk food, and a bad chef, they treated the customer harshly, I couldn't eat the food at all, I wasted my money.

We went there today, we ordered meat shawarma, it had an unpleasant smell, when we told them to change the two hands, the food was more expensive, they also double counted the money for the food, don't go there for food at all.

Absolutely lovely food which is great value. I had chilli chicken kebab which was absolutely delicious! We went in before a day out to the world museum which is a 2 min walk away.

Popped in for a bite to eat before heading to an evening concert at the O2 Academy by Liverpool Lume Street train station. Friendly staff, quick service, place was reasonably busy, reasonable prices. Defo worth a visit 🙂

Very authentic kurdish restaurant. Wonderful and tasty kurdish kebab. Also had a delicious Ghormeh sabzi. Very much reminded me of the many meals i have had in the kurdish region of Iraq

Great seating area! Good service. And love the god. The kebabs are fresh hot and yummy. The lamb kuzi made justices to the dish. E also asked for the Kuzi stew which e were happily given. Commentary naans and lentil soup make it a real star! Thank you, it was a cool experience! Went in again and lived it again. The food is great and service is superfast.

It doesn't even deserve 1 star because human hair was found in the food. Toilets are dirty. There is no hygiene at all. It needs to be cleaner and more hygienic. They need to work more carefully. Use gloves and a hair cap while cooking. The service was fast.

I recently dined at this delightful restaurant offering delectable Iraqi and Middle Eastern cuisine. Conveniently located near the heart of Liverpool and the city center, the restaurant boasts a spacious interior that welcomes guests with the tantalizing aroma of freshly cooked food. I indulged in their Shish Kabab and Lamb Qozy, both of which were truly outstanding. However, it's worth noting that the dishes tend to be a bit oilier than usual, which might not suit everyone's taste. Despite this, the overall dining experience was excellent. The restroom facilities were clean, although the presence of only one toilet for such a large restaurant may be insufficient during peak hours. Nevertheless, I highly recommend this establishment for an authentic and satisfying culinary journey.

It’s a nice Restaurant, with very respectful staff. They served very well and were friendly. The food was nice, we ordered chicken qozi with rice, and meat qozi with rice. Tepsi, Okra and bean stew. It was served with salad, but they only complain I had was about the meat qozi, which was too juicy and felt like they added a different seasoning, which didn’t suit the meat.

Superb. Stumbled across it whilst awaiting a show. Quiet (11:45am)Pleasant and excellent value for money. We couldn’t get over the tenderness of the Lamb ‘Quzi’. We were almost over faced with what came with it. Will definitely visit again when in Liverpool.

Probably the best Kurdish food in Liverpool.

Are people serious about this place has good service? I walked in and waited to be seated, and the waiter came up to me a bit unfriendly, and arranged me sit on this random table. I sit for a while and no one came to give water or talk to me, so I went to the counter to ask for help, and the waiter came rudely said: we will come to you, go back to you seat! Besides that, this place is 90% male customers. I don’t suggest women come here alone because all male will look at you weirdly, and don’t even mention the waiters don’t even take a woman with a different racial background seriously. From my opinion, it seems this place is a bit sexist and racist.

The service was very poor! Took 20 mins before we were served and another 20 mins just to get our bill after requesting it a few times! The food was ok, the chicken kebab had some taste to it, but the Kurdish lamb kofta kebab was tasteless and was uncooked! Just a word of advice, make sure you tell the waiter you want your meals, especially the lamb kabab, to be thoroughly cooked! This is the first time we came to this place, but I won’t be coming again unfortunately.

What a treat, definitely Lazeez (delicious). The portions are huge and lots of additional small dishes. Definitely worth a visit, one portion of any dish is enough for two.

One of the worst ever service. Waiter came to the table i was on an important call told him to wait 5 mins and he got angry saying i didnt say anything and then went towards counter and started shouting had to leave the restaurant and would never be coming back

Delicious kurdish meal. Abundant rice, bread, salad, lamb. They offer a free soup before you order. And this Lamb Quzi meal includes another soup. I accompany the meal with a glass of Ayran yoghurt. Delicious, Abundant, and very reasonal price. The staff are very friendly, respectful and kind

Poor management! Based on menu we were supposed to get soup and we paid for it, but the soup never came, with an excuse that we ran out of it. When we complained the manager had an aggressive attitude…

What a gem of a place. Amazing mixed grill👌👌👏the meat was cooked to perfection, tender, and well seasoned. The staff were friendly and hospitable, and the place was spotlessly clean. It brings back memories when we were living in Dubai. Definitely coming back again.😋

Great meal, honestly the best chicken I've ever eaten

Food was served quickly, all of it delicious and plentiful. Staff were friendly, attentive and efficient. Atmosphere was family oriented with some cool music as well. Definitely going back asap.

Lovely meal though disappointed there was no rice so had to have starters rather than a main (we're veggie and not much choice) but it was all delicious and would go again. Service only got a 3 as they were a little uninterested in us which was a shame

Starving and waiting for a train at line street, I popped into Lazeez for a takeaway. I randomly ordered the Kurdish kebab, which I think was minced lamb, I don’t know, I didn’t ask. But I’ll tell you what, it was just really really great. Super tasty, came with grilled tomatoes and loads of salad and extra bread. And the bread is just so deliciously light and pillowy.

Authentic, brilliant value for money.

This was our second visit, we ordered Lamb Quzi, Ribs and chicken kebab, with salad and hummus. Lassi and cold drinks. Everyone really enjoyed it, we will be visiting again soon.

No heating cold place really bad the guy making naan rolling naan on his arms where his body hair is etc unprofessional they should sort these 2 things out heating and the way food is prepared I didn't eat naan but lamb and tikka was amazing I ordered chips extra to wat with it . If you are paying the price the food should be spot on and service including heating.
