We ordered the sharing box and to say we were disappointed was an understatement! All I can say was the ribs and chicken where so dry and overcooked the batter on the chicken was burnt had to take it off ! Only thing that was good were the prawn crackers!!! And the service was certainly not with a smile

What is good about this place?? Costs an arm and a leg and tastes like a cardboard letterbox. The chips are hard, wet and completely rank, the building itself is the opposite of well kept and presentable, the floors more bumpy than riding a log down a cobble road! the place really needs a makeover. Not only the food and the building are a problem, it’s full of chavs most of the time, some of them are alright but one of the young charvas threatened to smash an egg on my bald head after I told them to be quiet!!! just unacceptable especially coming from a sweaty onion of a child i suspect was around 15 years old, I’ve never heard anything like it. I know this was not Laus fault but they need to be dealt with accordingly in my opinion, sort it all out!! With prices that high I would think you could at least make the place pretty, the vinegar had a weird slimy substance in it which was absolutely disgusting and I’m sure it affected me rather badly.

Severely dissatisfied with the staff. Been sent away on multiple occasions because of their new rule. Only 2 teenagers allowed in at once. I’ve been coming her for 5 years every week. They have made close to £1000 because of me. Only to treat me like scum. The food tastes like raw plastic and has no flavour. Please do not go here, save your money and go elsewhere. The building reflects on the food accurately, a bland white wallpaper and there is little sitting room. The staff are rude and a new employee has ignored my order multiple times. I’ve spent 30 minuites waiting for my chips today. Nobody else is in here and the cashier is outside smoking! Don’t bother food tastes like s**t. I’d rather s**t in my hands and eat it.

Ordered 2 chicken & king prawn chow mein for myself and my partner and to say it was disappointing would be an understatement. It was basically just a tub of egg noodles with around 6 pieces of chicken and ONE king prawn. The chow mein was tasteless, the chicken was slimy & hardly any onion or bean sprouts either. Definately won’t be ordering again. For £17 I would expect better value for money and certainly more than one king prawn.

We ordered the set meal, which was hot and very tasty (if a little heavy on the Sezhuan pepper which made one dish too hot for our taste). However, we selected our food using the website, and phoned the order through, and we were shocked when we collected to find the meal was £4 more than advertised! That is a serious price hike! The website should be updated. So we suggest you check the price when ordering!

If I could give this zero I would. Absolutely tasteless I find it hard to believe someone could make something a bad as this. Utter garbage save your money and go elsewhere.

Food excellent and good portions, would recommend as it was close to where we were staying and everyone enjoyed it

Had a meal on Sunday night that was the worst thing I've ever tried to eat in my entire life, the chips were very hard and impossible to eat with a fork, if I tried to pick on up with a fork, the chip shattered and shot off the plate. The sauce had a nasty snatch to it and the chicken was as dry as sticks, I couldn't cut the chicken portion with a steak knife. I have a dog that will eat anything, I put the plate down for her, she gave it a couple of licks, then walked away., if that doesn't speak volumes, nothing will. I'll never visit again.

Haven’t been to a Chinese restaurant for such a long time so decided to get takeaway from Laus and we were not disappointed. The food might not have been as nicely presented as in a restaurant but it had a really authentic taste that I haven’t had for a quite some time.

Portion size great food was piping hot and extremely delicious highly recogmend .

We hadn't tried Lau's because of some mediocre reviews on here, but thought we'd give it a try as its our nearest Chinese takeaway. We really enjoyed our meal, and regret now not trying it before. The food was freshly cooked and really tasty. The chicken and cashew nuts was really delicious. We'll certainly be using Lau's again - the order was taken in a very efficient manner on the phone, the food was hot and tasty and there was a good choice on the menu.

Really enjoyed our food, temperature could have been better but that’s kind of expected with take away deliveries! We ordered at 18:00 and our food didn’t come till 20:05.. which as you can expect was a bit later than we wanted but The restaurant did let us know via text that our order would be late, so can’t fault the communication! I’m guessing Lau’s was maybe down on staff or drivers, which happens - it hasn’t put me off ordering again as the food was lovely!

Food was early, but cold, and the chips undercooked aswell as the rest of the food being really salty

First they delivered the wrong order, then they got the order wrong, and the replacement was swimming in grease. Nope.

Average quality, neither grate nor bad, just plain average. As a result, very poor value for money

I received a portion of chips instead of the salt and pepper wings I ordered! There was pineapple in my Thai prawns that isn’t stated on the menu. In the past, I have also received the wrong food. Need to be more diligent.

Unable to contact restaurant food cold and arrived over 1 hr late. Will not order again terrible they had took phones off hook. Really bad service here. Requested money off and this has been refused.

Great food. Everybody really enjoyed their food and commented on how tasty it was. Empty plates all round! Would definitely recommend. Top marks!!!

Chips came soggy, chicken was horrible and turned up half an hour late meaning the food was only slightly warm.

Food was left on the doorstep while the delivery driver made their way back to the car as quickly as possible, didn't get a chance to thank them... I think this was because the food that had been delivered had been rattled around to the point that it erupted all over the bag and was leaking. Couple of lovely stains from the sweet and sour on the cream carpet isn't ideal, but at least we got some free prawn crackers.

Food took two hours to arrive. Over 1 hope 15 minutes later than scheduled! Every 20 minutes the just eat WhatsApp altered to say another 20-30 mins later. Tried calling the takeaway twice. No answer. Food arrived cold and by this time we were no longer hungry and wanting to go to bed. No apology from the driver. There was half a bag of soggy chips that were so greasy they were inedible and no carton of food was full to near the top. Felt like we had been sent half portions. The spring rolls were rock hard and chewy like they’d been cooked and sat for hours. They are not the cheapest place to order from and it is definitely not worth what they charge. Will not be using again.

Was quoted hour n half for delivery when ordered via the app. It was then a FURTHER 50 minutes later than that. One message via just eat saying it would be about 20 minutes. And it was more than double that time. Food ordered around 7.40 and arrived at 9.45.

Food was late but at least I got the food I actually ordered this time. Food was cracking as always.

40 minutes late and then they only delivered part of the order the delivery driver had to return to the shop to collect the bulk of our order so it ended up being an hour late. Half the food was cold the curry sauce was solid the noodles in the Two chow meins were mush 😩

Absolutely digusted, food order was an hour late, I had pre ordered this meal earlier in the day. Food eventually arrived and it was stone cold with things missing off the order. Been trying to contact the restaurant for a while and I'm not getting through to anyone..

Order was missing 2 x prawn crackers and gravy sauce. Order was also late. Salt and pepper chicken looks like it's missing half a portion. Containers weren't sealed correctly. Have ordered here numerous of times in the past and always have a hit and miss relationship with them.

Chicken tasted like jelly I thought it was onions at one point until I checked and it was actually chicken really disappointed!!! I’m hoping it was chicken and no other animal 🤢

Had an email from Just eat saying the driver was on his way, food didn't arrive until 50 mins later and unfortunately was cold. The lady on the phone was super lovely when I told her what had happened but over all service wasn't great.

Have always enjoyed the food from Lau`s in Wolsingham. First time ordering it from Just Eat and it was easy and convenient, Great service as always and delivered to our doorstep by the friendly delivery person who always makes sure we know its there (while maintaining a safe distance) Will be using again very soon.

The food was OK sauces, with the exception of the curry were a bit watery and were not bursting with flavour they were OK however the hot and sour soup was fantastic.

Lovely Chinese food! They can cater for vegetarian and also leave out or swap anything you don’t want in your meal. The mushroom chop suey is lovely!

Extremely disappointed with the food that arrived. The chips and gravy was dry and looked like it had been sitting around for hours. The sweet and sour sauce gave me a numb tongue! and my boyfriend couldn't even eat his chow main. It was disgusting. Never ordering from here again.

Disappointed with meal last night burnt taste cudnt decide if it was the liver or gravy, sweet and sour chicken was lush though so partner said hopefully was just a one off as meal last week cudnt be faulted

Normally order from here and fine however tried ordering this evening and because they are busy they said 3 hours waiting time for delivery. It funny that when they are quiet it’s fine they will take your money but when they are busy it’s basically screw you. Will not be ordering from here again.

Food came 30 minutes early. Normally this would be a good thing but I was in the middle of laying a carpet. Food was not great at all half my chips were burnt and my chow mein was soggy and tasteless I don’t think I’ll return

Shame this place has gone downhill. Beef is now fatty compared to how it used to be, asked for dry fry chow mein on just eat, it wasn’t, curry sauce tasted watered down, 3 out of 4 meals not very nice at all, won’t be back unless they improve

Having read some of the recent reviews we approached this with low expectations. However we couldn’t have been more wrong. We ordered the £23 set meal for two plus a beef chow mien and that was more than enough for a family of 4. All the food was delicious, although i should say that the warnings that the Szechuan chicken was hot were very accurate (lots of fresh green chilli - yum). We ordered this in the shop (and nipped over the road for a quick pint) and it was waiting for us when we returned. The food was hot and I can honestly say that as far as Chinese takeaways go this was as good as any I’ve had Having looked at the bad reviews they mostly seem to be about the home delivery service something I can’t comment on.

Not as nice lately as it was. Chips hard and inedible. Duck chow mein very fatty. Asked for dry cooked chow mein on just eat order and it wasn’t . Takeaways meant to be a treat but this wasn’t .

Ordered a couple of meals at 19.05 to be delivered to our home was told it would be 45 mins rang again at 20.15 to ask when it would arrive told it would be 10 mins but she would ring me back to confirm (never rang back) rang again at 21.05 it will not be long then rang 2 mins later to cancel as waiting 2 hours for a couple of meals on a Wednesday is not acceptable no apology or anything will never be using again.

I understand busy means waiting, not a problem £40 order made.Food arrived a little earlier than arranged, opened the box to find only two items we ordered!1/4 duck and chicken balls. Called the driver who was apologetic and called the shop who seemed to be flustered but arranged free meals on the next order. Problem resolved? ... nope (this was at 7:30)We resorted to alternative food.8:35pm I get a call to say “almost there” and to find our location. When I asked why I was told “replacement food”. I advised the driver this was not the arrangement, told don’t worry it will be sorted.So today I called to order, they knew who we were when I got through, I was then greeted with “we not doing free it was replaced” I kindly told them, it was sent out but due to the arrangement we were not expecting it so why would we accept food to waste it. I don’t mind paying for the food we received which totalled £14.10.The shop assistant was chewy as hell!!Do not take this shops word, don’t get your order demand your money back. They will not forfill their promise The £14.10 worth of food was like microwave meals.Coop do a £5 meal deal that would smash them out the park.Wouldn’t return and would never recommend.

Only been here 3 times in the 5 years I’ve lived here. We ordered a few things on the first visit. It was awful apart from the spare ribs, they were the only nice thing. I’ve been back twice, just for the ribs. Spring rolls were soggy & dripping in oil.
