Great wagyu burgers whatever the time of day! Fantastic friendly service by someone so enthusiastic about burgers. Not normally a burger fan but these... other worldly. I am yet to try the Halloumi burgers but I'm sure they are also awesome.

Delicious wagyu burgers! You can really tell everything in them is really great quality, they taste so good. And a lovely spot to enjoy a great burger. Might have to go back for another one tomorrow!

Such tasty burgers... The wagyu burgers are to die for... They melt in your mouth and are so juicy! Good quality ingredients and home made relish! I've become a regular and normally I don't eat meat or bread but these burgers are too tasty to not!!

We visit Salcombe a few times a year and always make time to do the cliff walk to gara rock for a lovely meal and drink. Myself, my VERY hangry pregnant partner, mother in law and son trundled up the cliff path and this turned out to be the first time we were actually glad gara rock was closed to non-resident guests as we found Lauriols gourmet grill. My partner just wanted food. Any food. I saw the van and walked over and the smell...my goodness...it was so inviting! Seeing the sign saying wagyu burgers i was ready to pay over the odds for a burger to stem the hangry woman behind me...Lauriol greeted us with a smile and we ordered two large wagyu burgers, a small wagyu burger and a hot dog for the lil'un. I think it came to £25 which i didn't think was to steep considering the future pleasure that would come from this. We sat down on the benches and waited 5mins...eagerly awaiting the food as my arm was slowly being chewed off...we picked up the burgers and my goodness. As we unwrapped them the smell...and then presentation...I don't think I can actually put into words how good they tasted. The burgers themselves cooked to perfection. Melt in your mouth is an understatement. The melted cheese...the perfectly mixed relish. Get in my belly! Even the bun was toasted just right! They were delicious. I'd highly recommend the walk up the cliffs just for the views on a normal day but to have one of these burgers at the end is totally worth it!!! We will definitely be making another trip up there over the coming days just for the burgers.

This was a restaurant experience like no other. We shared a table with six others and it was great. The food comes out and is passed around and shared. All very sociable. The starters were like a tasting menu, varied and different. There was plenty to eat, don't have lunch is my recommendation! The food itself was very high quality indeed, every dish interesting and some thought provoking. The main was cooked to perfection. There were three puddings, I found them light and tasty which was the perfect end to the meal. All in all a great evening, a gastronomic experience, we are looking forward to returning. I recommend arriving early to get to know your fellow diners before the main event starts!

Very clean, organised barn stop offering a good selection of cakes and snacks. Also a great variety of drink choices. Clean and tidy tables and toilets. All offered on an honesty basis. I hope people respect this trust and pay for a lovely place to stop and refuel.

We arrived in Dartmouth for a weeks holiday and after reading the reviews thought Bushell’s Upper Deck sounded great so we walked down to give it a go. It’s a pop up restaurant and it was its last night of the summer. They welcomed us, explained as it was their last night there was a limited menu. We had a super meal, starters of squid and garlic flatbread, followed by seafood risotto and American pizza, finished off with tiramisu and ice cream. Fabulous food, great service, very friendly and welcoming and fabulous views. We certainly struck lucky! Thank you!

We spent two memorable days in The Cottage Hotel, Hope Cove. What treat it was having that fabulous view from our cosy rooms. The service was excellent with the friendly, obliging staff creating a welcoming atmosphere. The food is of a high standard and is reasonably priced.
