Wonderful fresh sandwiches worn delicious scones and fabulous cakes and cupcakes. I had the Vegan option truly wonderful the best Vegan afternoon tea I’ve had, All in a lovely setting and super wonderful fabulous staff. you certainly will not be disappointed one bit.

Found this little gem through a google search & yet it’s practically on my doorstep!! Absolutely delicious afternoon tea, but only one tea/coffee included, which we didn’t know until we paid the bill 🙈 other than this, it was delicious & I would definitely visit again!

Terrible customer service! Booked for afternoon tea using thier website only for the booking to be cancelled with a curt noreply email sayng they are closed. Stop being so lazy and update your booking system!

I have visited Laura Kate a number of times and they never disappoint. The food is always really delicious and the staff are without fail warm and friendly. I have visited and eaten in, had afternoon tea to take away and ordered Birthday cakes from this little gem of a place. I would highly recommend visiting!!

I ordered a salted caramel birthday cake for my daughters 20th birthday. Laura kindly delivered it. It was absolutely beautiful with white buttercream roses and real dainty pink roses. It tasted delicious! Not too sweet but sweet enough. Just how I like it. So fresh too! My daughter loved it and so did we! Thank you again for another wonderful cake Laura!

Ordered for my mum, really helpful in organising collection. Very well presented and my mum loved it. She is very fussy when it comes to scones and she said they were excellent. Wow what a fabulous place and why haven't I been here before?! Had a bad experience in the Wellington on Monday so chose to come here today to meet my sister in law for coffee. The decoration and cleanliness of the cafe is second to none and a good range of cakes for us to choose from (other food available but we were there for morning coffee and a treat). I chose a cheese scone and my SIL chose the salted caramel muffin. I was presented with two lovely looking hot cheese scones and butter. They were delicious as was the muffin. The coffees were excellent too. Staff very welcoming and we'll certainly be back very soon. Thank you! Thank you!

We celebrated an 86th birthday here in the best possible style. We were bowled over by the setting (both of the restaurant and the table!) the food, and the service. Every element had obviously had a great deal of care taken and the look and atmosphere achieved were first class. Nicest sandwiches I have ever had and the first time I had actually enjoyed a scone, which I usually find bland and boring. These were morsels or delicousness. Your idea of giving us a box of any leftovers is an extra bonus. We went on enjying the experience the whole of the next day! Would recommend anyone to try this delightfully decorated and furnished tearoom. Thank your for a memorable experience

My boyfriend and I went here for Afternoon Tea for our birthdays as my brother & sister in law had bought us each a voucher. The staff were friendly, the place was bustling, we had a lovely experience. The food was delicious and filling, we had to take our complimentary cupcakes to go.

Found this lovely tearoom, we have afternoon tea and all was delicious !!! The girls were so friendly and we all just loved the atmosphere in there. Ps the toilets were very clean unlike many establishments locally. This is a must place to visit!! Enjoy

We had tea late on a Saturday afternoon when many of the cakes had been sold but still found a delicious Victoria sponge and crumpets to eat, along with jasmine tea in an attractive teapot with elegant cups and saucers. It was served quickly and efficiently by the charming staff.

Found this wonderful tea shop on the high street whilst out walking with my daughter this morning....super friendly staff & great service ..perfect english tea room & exeptionally clean Can't wait to go back

The most beautiful tearoom, with wonderful staff. The sandwiches were fresh and tasty, especially the Brie and cranberry. The warm scones were crisp on the outside with fluffy centre - delicious. The cakes, brownies and macarons were the best we’ve tasted . Don’t miss out on a most enjoyable experience.

Small quaint little tea shop. Clean and tidy with friendly staff. Cakes are wonderful although sandwiches are rather expensive. Visited on a Saturday lunch time and not much choice left. Booking is definitely recommended.

We were in Welwyn visiting family and stopped in here for a quick cuppa. The venue was lovely. Reasonably priced drinks and cakes which tasted amazing. The boutique was immaculate and we were all incredibly impressed. I'd happily go again.

Nipped in here with my daughter for a takaway cup cake treat. The staff were chatty, warm and friendly. The choc caramel cup cake was wrapped beautifully and my daughter gave it ten out of ten for taste!

I booked the afternoon tea for my sister’s birthday which was recommended to me by a few friends who had also visited here. Laura was very accommodating to our needs as we had requested different sandwiches to ones on the sample menu. The food was delicious and we felt very welcome within the friendly atmosphere. I was treated to afternoon tea at the weekend and what a treat it was.

We visited as a group of 8 for a baby shower - lovely place with friendly staff and clued up on gluten free, which made me feel confident eating here as someone with Coeliac disease. Not only that, but the gluten free options were delicious, especially the scones! I will definitely be returning - the best gluten free afternoon tea I've had!

I visited this cafe today with my friend. We are both vegan and I emailed in advance. They reserved us a table and there were 3 vegan cakes to choose from! We both had the chocolate cake. It was delicious.great service, a lovely tea room. And tea and cake was only £4.50! Would highly recommend!

I have been here twice now. Once for a vegan afternoon tea (I’m not vegan) and the second time for a normal! Everything was amazing! I couldn’t tell the difference between vegan and normal it was all delicious! Thank you and I will be coming back again :D

Went there with our daughter for afternoon tea. We were warmly greeted with only a slight mix up over our reservation which was sorted out straight away. We have been to many afternoon teas but thi is bar far the best with lovely cakes and delicious sandwiches.

Lovely lovely little place, great tea and cakes. Staff are very welcoming and very pleasant. My only grip is the cream teas they taste great look amazing but the price £7 for a cream tea! On the menu it is stated "cream tea" so you would expect scone, jam, cream and tea for £4.50 reasonable price. But ... the tea isn't included in the "cream TEA" this is a separate cost of £2.50. Such a shame too I would have come back as everything else was lovely. Feel touch ripped off at the moment!

I thought I would treat the wife to afternoon tea, it needs to be booked 24 hours in advance, which i did. I got an email back about dietary needs, and informed them no nuts, not an allegory just a dislike.

Lovely afternoon spent enjoying the afternoon tea (including one vegetarian).... freshly made sandwiches filled with tasty fillings, the falafel was amazing, homemade scones and yummy cakes to finish. . You even get to choose your own cup cake flavour. .. really filling so cupcake has come home with me. Lovely waitresses and deco, tearoom full - we stayed for three hrs and even though the girls required our table back, we happily moved to the sofa to enjoy more drinks. Will return to try the vegan option.

We visited Laura Kate’s today for afternoon tea for my birthday with family. Without a doubt one of the best afternoon teas I have ever had. We had to pay a deposit as we prebooked but it meant that everything was freshly made when we arrived so not dry in the slightest. We even got to choose one of their yummy looking cupcakes to go with our afternoon tea. The ladies who worked there were very friendly and helpful and we had a great afternoon. We even ended up taking some of our cakes home as there was so much food. We will definitely be returning!

Came here as a pre christmas treat with my two friends to get into the festive spirit and to exchange gifts. Rang up and pre-booked a afternoon tea with one vegetarian option and two regular options. Vegetarian options included hummus and avocado, brie and cranberry and cucumber and cream cheese all of which was delicious and incredibly filling.

I was invited to Laura Kate's for Afternoon tea by two NON VEGAN friends. The two friends and myself chose to all eat the vegan afternoon tea, they couldn't tell the difference. Food is abundant, the little emporium is spotlessly clean, and they cater for GF and all other tastes. I can't highly recommend this place any more than to say it's probably the best eatery in the area for vegan's. I do eat out a lot, and I complain when the food isn't up to much, yet I still get charged a fortune for lack of creativity and taste. This place deserves to be sold out day in, day out. I absolutely loved it.

My husband and I were meeting with a friend that we hadn't seen for some time and he suggested afternoon tea. Our friend told us that he had been wanting to try Laura Kate's for some time. On entering immediately we could see how very clean the tea room was. We saw two lovely ladies who were very welcoming and attentive. We decided to have just one afternoon tea to share as no one was particularly hungry. Normally you are supposed to let them know in advance but they told us that this was not a problem and they could do this for us. The tea was served in a lovely china teapot with china cups and saucers. I have to say Afternoon Tea is a favourite of mine and this was lovely. The sandwiches were delicious with the bread being so fresh, the cakes were absolutely amazing, we were also given extra scones which were straight from the oven. You also get to choose a cup cake which was so light and fluffy, delicious. I will definitely be returning and it will be very soon. Thank you ladies for a very enjoyable time.

A very well priced afternoon tea. Scones and cup cakes were particularly nice. I had chai latte to drink and it was gorgeous. We were offered a second drink . Friendly service. Good value. Don't take cards.

What a pretty tea parlour set in the quaintest of villages.

Laura was so helpful with choices when booking - the restaurant is lovely, very pretty and spotlessly clean. The table was set with pretty plates and cups and saucers. The afternoon tea looked and tasted delicious - fresh tasty sandwiches as requested - the scones were freshly baked and very nice and the cakes were scrumptious- even getting to chose which flavour we wanted from a variety of about 10 - a very hard decision as they all looked wonderful. We spent all afternoon there and was made very welcome. Would definitely visit again.

Just been for afternoon tea at Laura Kate. A beautifully chic tea room which I would not hesitate to recommend to for anyone visiting Welwyn. The staff were very friendly and attentive and the cakes were to die for.

Thoroughly enjoyed visiting Kate's tearooms. Its surroundings are lovely, great service, lovely cakes and one could actually sit and chat.

If Cath Kidston and cupcakes are your thing then you'll love Laura Kate. I've been wth friends and with kids. The room is a bit small for kids (I felt stressed by my five year old boy running around but they staff made us really welcome). Lots of different hot drinks on offer and scones/brownies/paninis if you are not after a cupcake. They only take cash so bring plenty as you'll want to buy some cakes to take away for friends and family - they make really nice presents.

A great little tea shop, lovely decor and staff could not have been more welcoming. All that combined with delicious cakes made for a great afternoon. Thank you!

We visit many tearooms and this is my favourite. The room itself is decorated beautifully, the staff are incredibly friendly, the atmosphere and music they play for atmosphere is perfect, the tea is loose leaf and the cakes are fabulous!

Enjoyed a lovely afternoon tea in this pretty little cake shop/tea room. For the full tea you need to reserve in advance and pay a £5 deposit per person, as space is limited and everything is freshly prepared. After a selection of four different types of finger sandwiches, followed by both fruit and plain scones with clotted cream and jam, we were flagging by the time we reached the top tier of the square shaped cake stand. Managed the dainty macaroons and the inspired banoffee shot glasses, but had to take the cupcakes home to enjoy another day. Service is very friendly.

I love this place. Have visited several times since moving to the area last August. I ordered a 50th Birthday cake for my Husband and we also ordered a batch of cup-cakes for his party. Both were very much enjoyed. The cakes were lovely and moist and really tasty. They looked amazing too. This place has got things absolutely right....and Laura Kate's is now my "go to" place in the area for cakes I can trust for quality, appearance and taste. All the staff are really friendly and helpful.....the place is spotless and has a hygiene rating of 5. As the title says.....what's not to like! Well done Laura Kate's.
