Ah, this pub—what an absolute masterpiece of British charm! The kind of place that effortlessly balances tradition and festive cheer, with garlands on the bannister, perfectly polished tables, and a television showing the muted drama of daytime news. It’s a venue that doesn’t just invite you in; it wraps you in a warm embrace of amber lighting and the promise of perfectly poured pints. The ambiance whispers of lively conversations, quiet contemplation, and memories waiting to be made. Truly, the pub deserves every accolade—it’s practically the standard against which all others should be judged. But then there’s the group seated at the table—a gathering that feels less like a merry bunch of friends and more like a focus group convened to test the limits of social cohesion. Let’s start with Plaid Shirt. Now, I’m not saying he stole that fabric from a family enjoying a summer picnic in Hyde Park, but the evidence is damning. Somewhere out there, a couple is lamenting the loss of their cheerful gingham spread while he sits here, utterly unrepentant, transforming it into a shirt that somehow manages to be both bold and deeply questionable. Next, we have Red Jumper, who seems to be auditioning for the role of “overenthusiastic Christmas uncle” with his gesticulations and constant movement. His energy is palpable—almost too palpable. You can’t help but think he’s moments away from either spilling a pint or launching into an unsolicited story about the time he “nearly” made it on a pub quiz team. Denim Jacket appears contemplative, staring down at his pint like it owes him money. He’s the kind of guy who looks like he’s permanently rehearsing a monologue in his head, possibly about the existential weight of choosing between crisps and chips at the bar. Across from him is The Grinning Enigma—someone who seems far too pleased with himself, as though he’s just pulled off a prank none of the others have noticed yet. His smirk suggests a man who knows he’ll be the one with the last laugh, though it’s unclear at whose expense. And then there’s the fellow with the shaved head, whose posture screams, “I could be anywhere else, and yet, here I am.” He leans forward with his hands clasped as though he’s mediating a conflict, yet the only conflict is why he’s bothering to stay engaged in this chaotic roundtable of mismatched energy. All the while, the pub remains immaculate, a steady backdrop of perfection against the swirling tide of this odd crew. It’s a place that welcomes all—even these five, who somehow manage to make themselves the centre of attention without actually doing anything remarkable. Five stars for the pub. As for the group? Let’s just say they’ve brought… character to the establishment, though I doubt the picnic blanket family would agree.

We liked the burgers we had and the Half Price Tuesday deal was an added bonus. The staff were nice but the venue doesn't quite deserve 5 stars, from an interior design perspective it's slightly boring or could do with a touch up at least.

Poor first impression on arrival. No acknowledgement that we would be served by any of the 3 members of staff behind the bar even though it wasn't busy. The food and beer seem adequate for a pub, however, at the end of the night when they turn on the lights we saw a couple of mice making their way to the kitchen. After alerting the waitress we had a nice conversation with the pub manager that covered: - His pub has a health rating of 5 - Mice are always there but can't get into the food because it's locked in "airtight containers" - Every pub in London has mice - It's not cost effective to get rid of the mice properly So there's that. We had a generally enjoyable time, but are not going to return there due to the mice issue, as we don't feel comfortable eating in the company of rodents, regardless of the assurances of the manager.

Very nice pub with great garden area. Main are inside is spacious, looks and feels cosy and makes you order another pint or two just to sit there and enjoy the moment. I liked the vibes from this place a lot, feels old, with some history around it, and very warmth and relaxed. My fish&chips was very good, loved those massive chunky chips, fish was good as well, maybe had too much batter for my liking but they serve mushy peas hot which completely ruins peas for me. It was dry and didn't have much taste. Why oh why? Service was exceptionally good, helpful and polite, and with my anxiety I don't say those things lightly. Food has arrived quick. My other complain would be about prices: I know it's London and everything is expensive now but 22 quid for a meal and pint of Guinness zero feels a bit overpriced for that area. It's not exactly Central yet. I sound like a Scottish, I know. Clean small toilet with hot water, which is not that common in London. Would visit again when in area, my job sent me there for one day so it's unlikely but never say never.

Dinner on a Sunday evening. The first bottle of wine we chose was unfortunately out of stock. Arancini to start were good, mains less so. Burger was overcooked to the point of hardness. Ravioli were genuinely of worse quality than supermarket – so dry they stuck to each other, no appearance of the promised pesto to loosen things up. Filling was a hard, sad lump within; grainy and tasteless. They gave the impression of having been harshly defrosted and quickly overcooked (which I'm sure is what happened). Server then promptly disappeared and we were given no chance to order dessert, as meanwhile we watched the kitchen close down. The staff were friendly enough, if not particularly useful. Gave the impression of not wanting to be there – one thing we all had in common by the end!

One of the better pubs in the Battersea area. Has a huge garden area with two big screens for any sports events. Quality pub, the staff are great and service is always quick. Busy most evenings of the week but never too busy that you have to wait long for a drink. The food is really quite strong for a pub, come here on a Sunday for the roast and you will not be disappointed. This is a good place to spend a Sunday afternoon with friends, they have sports on the tvs too. Ordered the chicken roast with bread sauce, which was okay, the amount of chicken they gave was a decent portion, the veg could have been better, the roast potatoes were soft rather then having a nice crisp on the outside and was not a fan of the bread sauce. Not the cheapest of meals but okay as a one off for what you get. Yorkshire pudding is an extra rather than being standard. The place had limited options for my vegetarian friend who ordered the burger, which they enjoyed.

We wanted “somewhat” fancy food in the evening and came across Latchmere. When we got there, only one side of the restaurant was very busy. The other almost empty. When we sat down it was clear to us why, it was a kind of quiz evening or something similar. People were constantly shouting their answers through a microphone in a somewhat drunken euphoria. Unfortunately, given the volume and our non-native English, we couldn't understand the operation even the third time. We then said that we would like to take advantage of the Pike and Pie offer. But I would happily skip the pie and drink some wine. Well, the pie came anyway. Personally, I didn't find the food to be my cup of tea at all, and unfortunately the same thing happened to my companion. Otherwise, the inside of the restaurant, as well as the outside, was relatively appealing, otherwise we wouldn't have chosen it in the end. Because of the volume and all the microphone heckling, the ambience wasn't exactly the best for your dinner for two. Some people probably like the food, but unfortunately not us. It was still beautifully prepared, came out of the kitchen after about 10-15 minutes and was definitely a very good portion. Unfortunately, when we were finished, we sat at the table for ages and waited for the waiter to cash in on us. Well, at some point we went to the counter and paid there.

Took a friend as a birthday treat. Place was pretty empty which wasn't an issue. We were attended to quite quickly which was nice. Unfortunately the food was a serious let down. I tried the duck parfait which was just about OK. I ordered the hake with sweet potato fries & pea puree, my friend ordered the steak. The fish batter was soooo oily I had to blot it with two serviettes! The sweet potato fries were lukewarm, the tartare sauce looked old or like it had been exposed for ages (it was dark on top so i didn't take the chance of trying it!) & my friend's fries were hard. The pea puree tasted like the peas had been taken out the bag & pureed without cooking them first. The best part of the meal was the drinks! A total waste of what it cost but I don't begrudge my friend & treating her. Spent the rest of the day in agony as my belly doesn't like oil so not only was it too much, it was probably also old. The lady said she hopes to see us again but that won't happen. I can get much better value for money from the worst chippy in my own area! I definitely won't be going back there & unfortunately wouldn't recommend it.

My wife and myself - together with my brother and a friend - had lunch earlier today at the popular Latchmere Pub on Battersea Park Road. We had booked a table for 1315 hours and just as well we did as most tables were either taken or reserved on our arrival. Despite this, service was excellent throughout our stay. We opted to share some starters (Calamari and Scotch Eggs - the latter were cooked perfectly) and I much enjoyed my Roast Chicken (lovely Bread Sause) as did my fellow diners their respective Roast Beef and Pork mains. These were all excellent - accompanied by a generous Cauliflower Cheese portion - with the only casualty being the Desert Menu as we were all full!! All in all, one of the best Sunday Lunches I have had for a while and - as such - a return visit would certainly be in order.

Contacting the pub through email and phone was seamless, Corbin (manager) was absolutely great at keeping me informed and giving me peace of mind for a large group booking. We sent ahead a pre-booked menu and I couldn't fault it the timings or service at all, even the drinks were served quickly. There was always people around to check in on us and the staff were super friendly. My colleague forgot her phone in the pub after we left, and I was easily able to collect it afterwards since they had it for safekeeping. This has been the best customer experience we've received from a restaurant/bar during the busy festive period. I'd strongly recommend and would return again in the future :)

There's plenty of indoor space, enough for a few families with kids (and there's a kid's menu!), but they also have a patio area that also includes covered booths and TVs for watching matches. I had the ribs for dinner, which were surprisingly good, and came with a small side salad and chips. Have 2 seperate confirmation emails that don’t mention this. Booked through Google and explained that we didn’t see this and couldn’t guarantee every person would eat. Was super rude and this was out of character for such a great establishment. Left shortly after to a pub down the road. Will be back, but maybe check yourself before treating customers this way. I left feeling out of place for not having a dog with me. Needless to say the dog breed were not common breeds.

We have lived around the corner from this pub for almost 18 months now and have consistently encountered rude staff members. Every time we have to deal with rude staff we give it another try thinking it’s probably a one off, but it’s not. Every time we have gone we have been met by some rude remarks by some stuck up member of staff. The Duke pub around the corner is much nicer and staff are always friendly. I would recommend much going there more.

The food was disappointing. It had obviously been left on the side because it was almost cold. One roast potato and soggy veg. Pubs must stop making out that just because you put a giant cheap Yorkshire pudding on a plate that it makes up for the lack of anything underneath it. It needs nice vegetables and crispy potatoes. Avoid.

Rude posho patrons everywhere, and with the lack of real competition in the area, I'd think of other places if I hadn't booked, I really would

Haven't been here for ages so decided to visit again. They have the greatest collection of gin and their staff are knowledgeable about what to drink and what new things to try. I love their outside area and the atmosphere is always lively.

Lovely pub and great food. The staff did rush us for the table so lost a star for that

Good atmosphere in this busy boozer. Food on one side with table service, drinking, sports, bar snacks on the other. Also features a large covered beer garden and upstairs the fantastic 503 pocket theatre.

I hired out the outdoor tent for a rather unique birthday event and The Latchmere team couldn’t have been more accommodating! Everyone was so lovely and we all had an amazing time. Thank you!

We were ordering in the till when this staff and one with tattoes laugh at us out of no where as idk if we were asian but they kept repeating laughing at us. SO UNPROFESSIONAL and degrading feeling. So disappointing and humilating. Never going back to this pub.

Not very good staff and unprofessional. Experience being laughed by two of their staff members which persist the whole night because we were asians? Or ordering Pimms in the middle of winter? Not going back here. Management took actions promptly anyway which was a good thing.

Inattentive service, lower than average food but a good pub for a beer, locally. The calamari and fish pie were good. Other dishes lacked tlc.

Frequented the Latchmere a couple of times. Always a great place to stop by. Cosy in winter and even more banging in summer.

Excited to visit as we’re now local to the area. Roasts were ok - huge Yorkshire pudding was the highlight. Tables quite close together so awkward to get in and out. Slow, unfriendly service but felt quite sad for staff who were having to quickly eat around 12:15 (despite opening at 12:00). Plenty of Google reviews claiming this is the best Sunday roast they’ve had which I unfortunately can’t agree with. All the best but won’t be returning.

Great pub quiz! Had a really good time on Monday night doing the pub quiz, and food was really good. The waitress behind the bar was really rude - pointed behind me to someone else to find my table, yawned in my face when serving me, snapped at me to pay on the card machine when I wasn’t concentrating. The ladies toilets were also disgusting - one of the doors has a broken lock so unusable and the other two had been flooded but instead of actually mopping up the water, they just left a wet floor sign in front. The cubicle then had no loo roll. Won’t be coming back for the bar service or facilities but might try the quiz again.

We had some lunch here and although it’s a lovely place with great coffee & food, it was a shame we had to wait 35-40 minutes for our food in a cafe with a handful of tables. Only one other table were waiting for food so we couldn’t quite fathom the delay…

As a local, my experience of Konnigans has always been so good, the food is wonderful, the menu is diverse but the dishes simple and not fussy. Food very tasty and good drink selection. Have eaten here for brunch, lunch and dinner and it's always nice. BUT....please sort out your customer service when the restaurant has to close! In the last month, we have had two reservations at Konnigans (where we turned up at the restaurant) only to find everything shut up and seemingly not open. I know things happen due to unforeseen circumstances, and you have our deepest sympathies, but at the very least, you should be calling the people who have reserved tables online to explain, apologise and say the restaurant is closed? It is lucky that on both these occasions we did not have to travel far to get to the restaurant (not to mention a wide choice of competitors down the street to salvage the lunch and dinner). It would be sorely disappointing to have travelled or paid for a taxi only to find yourselves closed. I love Konnigans but please sort out your online reservations system so that you can contact customers in the event the restaurant has had to close.

Superb back street boozer near the Thames at Putney Bridge. Loved everything about...such a joy to watch the bar keep lovingly pour each pint of Guinness....though I was on the delicious Pillars Porter myself. Comfy, cosy, chatty, charismatic place that I'll certainly be going out of my way to visit.
