Larkfield Kebab & Pizza House in Maidstone

Vile. Order was delivered within 25 minutes of booking when we were informed it would be between 1 hour and 1 hour and 20 minutes for delivery. Food was stone cold & had quite clearly been lying about the shop for some time. Chips had certainly been reheated, chicken shish kebab was burnt and cold. Donner kebab was cold, over-cooked and everything had obviously been reheated/zapped. Will be taking this further with trading standards and food hygiene guys.

Food was average, service was terrible, got our order wrong. After reading reviews online I thought I would try here anyway but regret going, the reviews are true they can not get your order right even after debating it in the shop. Won’t be returning

Have used this takeaway many times as local. The food is good but they often seem to get something wrong with the order. Most recently, our order included a salad - we asked for this to have green pepper instead of onion, what we got was a pile of onion topped with chilli peppers, and no salad?!?! Provided feedback and requested refund for the salad but have not received a response.

Honestly just dont waste your money. We ordered 2 lamb donors, both of which arrived long after the stated delivery time, pretty much stone cold and RAW. The meat was so undercooked that it was still baa'ing. Quite frankly it was disgusting, first time ordering and will most definetly be the last.

Order came quickly but disappointed Greek salad just lettuce and olives not a Greek salad with 1 piece of tomato and cucumber Greek salad does not have lettuce! Kids meal no drink Not very hot Not sure would use again even if my son uses them a lot for basic kebabs

Lamb sish was mushy! Not nice and tender, the meat was like mash potato! There was grease literally dripping out the wrap and every box was dripping with grease. Will never return and wish I’d read these reviews before ordering.

Had 2 mixed kebabs delivered yesterday. Ordered salad with both and only got one lot and that was less than minimal. No chillies either. Meat was much less than usual and borderline rancid. Spent all night with the toilet and having to take a day off today with ongoing what I think is food poisoning. Would expect a refund but can't be bothered as unlikely to happen. Will never buy there again!

Chicken shish with no tomatoes (just onion and salad) phoned and was told its 2 do with salad so tough!! Pizza was cold and stay away!!

Lamb doner meat dry and cheap tasting, chicken shish, hard round edges and dry not succulent like it used to be, Guy working eating food then doesn’t wash his hands before putting a pizza in the box and cutting it, other guy took food out of plastic packaging rinsed hands under tap ( not washed) then sorted a pizza. Totally gone downhill there , food not up to standard and hygiene awful Will not be going back

Absolutely Shocking waited 2 hrs for my Pizza after trying to contact them and live chat through website. When it turned up all was stone cold and the order was wrong. When I eventually got through to them they said they would collect and refund. I've tried emailing and and phoning only for them to say not there problem contact website and put the phone down on me.

Have been using these guys for years. Very rarely did we get bad service or bad food. Last 2 occasions have been very disappointing. First occasions half our order wasn’t delivered. Having to ring and ask where half your order is only to be told ‘yeah it’s still here’ with no real explanation was odd. Then last time we used them. Waited nearly 2 hours for our order. I rang twice asking where it was. With the second call saying I’d wanted to cancel. They said food was on the way and took £7 off our bill. When the food finally did arrive we didn’t receive the drinks we ordered ( which were probably the £7) my sons burger had onion in it- which we didn’t order, So of course wouldn’t eat it and the chicken was cold and dry. Real shame its gone down hill as Iv been using for years but after 2 consecutive bad experiences with them will now avoid.

Ordered a Lamb Shish and Lamb Donner Combination, it came and the lamb Shish was all raw inside! (see photo) I immediately stopped eating, as this put me off. Called up and wouldn’t refund me but said they would comp next time, but when I ordered what I had last time it came in a child’s meal size box, and was just the Lamb Shish inside the box, phoned back and they said that that was the only problem with the meal last time so that is all they could send out! Disgusted! Won’t be ordering from here again! To be fair, I explained I couldn’t collect because of just having a baby and I’m not allowed to drive yet, and they didn’t charge me a delivery fee (I’m only down the road). Can’t fault the lady on the phone though, she was polite throughout and I expressed that this was not her fault in any way, she handled it well. Avoid if you don’t want food poisoning, raw meat, and rude management not taking customer service seriously.

We have used these for years on and off but recently they have gone even further downhill then normal food turned up stone cold after waiting over a hour so made the call got normal response from them on phone “we will make it up to you next time etc” managed to get replacement food deliver which took a further hour since call when it arrived could tell it’s been thrown together and was Luke warm! Didn’t bother ringing have just decided never to use them again and make others aware of how bad they are! Also found my lamb was raw in the middle to top it all off 😂👌🏼

Collected aN order. 28 pounds. Should have checked in shop but drinks missing. Lesson learned, however if you order online they have it written down so you expect it to be correct.

DISGUSTED is an understatement! I made an order for me and family worth £50. I waited 2 hours and a half for my order. I called 3 times to ask where it is and got told every time that it will arrive in 15 minutes. I live 10 minutes away. Not a 45 minute drive! The customers service is disgusting especially after being called “darling” by a staff member. During one of my three phone calls I asked to speak to a manger, I was then told the driver dropping my food is the manger. When the “manager” arrived at my door he told me he’s not the manger and the manger is off. He gave us £10 back for waiting nearly 3 hours for my order. By the time he had left the food was cold and some orders were wrong. I had to warm up my food. I instantly wanted a refund, when I called and asked for one I got told this isn’t possible I then asked to speak to the manger again and got told he is at a party tonight. During a global pandemic! When the manger arrives back to work Every single staff member must be isolating. If I see this isn’t in place the shop will be shut instantly. I am outraged by the children working in that shop who were laughing at me down the phone. Nobody should ever waste there money on these nasty people.

I am absolutely shocked! I honestly cannot get into words the service from this takeaway. We ordered our food two hours later the food had still not arrived. When I called to ask where the food is they told me I’d left half an hour ago it will be 15 minutes. I waited 20 minutes and the food has still not arrived it was now nearly 3 hours that we had ordered. I called back the staff have not got a clue I asked to speak to a manager and they told me the manager was delivering my food when the manager arrive with my food nearly 3 hours later he told me he was not the manager I asked him to return my food and full refund me and as it was cold and he did not care. He offered me a £10 refund when he arrived back to the shop I called to say they had not only sent me cold food but they had sent me the wrong food. He told me he is no longer the manager I’m not the manager is it a party during Covid. So not only is the manager out at a party during Covid 1 minute there is a manager there one minute there isn’t. They will not fully refund me and we had to throw all of our food in the bin leaving us with no dinner. This is the second time this has happened to me I gave them a second chance but the food was an edible and the staff are useless and liars I will never ever ever order from this takeaway again. They deserve to be shut down after reading other peoples reviews it sounds very very similar and is obviously a regular occurrents.

Currently isolating so chose here as they deliver, wait over 3 hours food and it came cold!! Called and all the staff were rude and even laughed at me when I asked for a refund after spending £46 and received cold and In edible food!! When I asked to speak to a manager they said we was at a “party” when we’re in lockdown explains they aren’t COVID friendly at all. Never eat there!

Most awful service waited over 2 hours and they told us it had left after an hour and half still nothing 2 and half hours later! Then when we asked to speak to a manger they said he “wasn’t there”. Don’t order if you want to wait nearly 3 hours and cold food!

Ordered a delivery and was told an hours wait, phoned after the hour was up to be told food ready but waiting for a driver should be Another 10 minutes, 20 minutes later it turned up.. Chicken and lamb shish meat was over cooked, hard at edges, salad minimal, food warm not hot, garlic bread cold, worst kebab ever and will not be using again, definitely not worth the £26 paid.

Never had a bad meal, always consistent. Friendly staff and good value, especially if you collect. Good job people 👏

My partner went to get a meal for us and some friends tonight and we didn’t get half the order. We ordered two double cheese burgers and 2 portion of chips, a kids meal, mixed meat kebab and a meat and chips. We got 1 burger 1 chips a meat and chips and mixed meat and chips, no kids meal, no chips and missing a burger. We called to let them know things were missing to be told it would be right out. Waited 40 minutes so we could all eat together, called back to be told we are not getting the items we paid for and the rest of the food had gone cold and inedible ! The owner tried saying he called us but he didn’t bother too! Yes it’s only a couple of quid but it’s the principle of customer service and the staff was bloody rude, I now have a child and a mate missing a meal and friend with only half of his! We now have to spend more money to get everything again from somewhere else! AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

Awful place, we order kebabs for family, it got delivered to a different town to where we live! We was told we couldn’t have refund and they wouldn’t send out more! Customer service is awful! Talk to you like your a dog! I honestly don’t know how people would want to still eat there! We used to spend a lot of money in there! I will never spend another penny again in the shocking place!

We waited 45 minutes before calling to see where our order was, we were told by the girl on the phone that she was just watching it leave the shop. She also made comment that they were short on drivers. We live no more than 5 minutes from the takeaway so was not surprised when it finally turned up half hour later it was cold and soggy.Called AGAIN to explain it was cold, was passed through three people having to explain it three times.... the ‘manager’ said there was no way it was cold it had only just left, suggestion the girl had lied to me half hour ago, I would not have called if it was edible! He says he cannot refund the money unless we return the food, and that he will have the driver coke and collect the food (seemed backwards to me, lack of drivers and customers waiting over and hour, but they can send a driver to collect cold food??!!) We await the refund......

Ordered from here tonight as hadn’t had kebab in a while, and wish I hadn’t bothered. Ordered Shish Kebab, which is usually lovely big chunks of flamed grilled chicken, with lots of extras attached, but sadly this was not the case. The meat looked like mush, and the pita was all soggy, with a non existent salad, unless you call a whole onion chopped badly chucked in. Part of the order was garlic bread which was ok, and my partner had large Doner Kebab, but like the Shish, was the same quality, and heaven forbid don’t order the Halloumi, was like eating a welly boot!! For the money we paid, we won’t be returning, and will be saving our money.

Absolutely disgraceful that you are obviously buying what looks suspiciously like Birds eye frozen fish fillets that are oven cook then chucking them in the deep fryer...you are ripping your customers off...I will NEVER buy from here again...fresh fish that has been battered does not have that shape.....you may think your customers are stupid

Having ordered a pizza for delivery from here my son went to eat it realising it had onions and peppers on the pizza after making sure he ensured that when he made the order that these would not added to the pizza. We phoned them to see if they could correct this but they were not interested saying this was how the order was made, I also spoke with them not being happy with the response my son had received, the response to my complaint was we cannot hear you as your phone is breaking up. Extremely annoyed with there response needless to say i will never step into this establisment again.

I’ve been using this Kebab take away for 10 years always had good food but now that it’s under newish ownership it has gone far down in my estimations. Poor quality food salad non existing & never get order right. Will not be returning again as both of us unwell after eating from here last night.

Bought 2 kebabs, asked if I wanted all salad.. photo says it all.... forgot the salad.. apart from the few bits I love the salad more than anything.... thrown in the bin

Just had to post a review. We regularly get pizzas from here. They are delicious and not as salty as Domino's. Thoroughly recommend you give them a try 😁

Always good quality lamb shish at reasonable prices, the restaurant is spotlessly clean and the staff are friendly. The food is in a display cabinet so you can see what you are buy. All is cooked fresh to order.

My review is very different from most but I had a kebab from this venue tonight and it was without doubt one of the best I've ever eaten. (I've eaten far too many!). Good service. Clean. Fast. Good price. Plenty of food and the best tasting kebab I've eaten in a long time. Thank you.

My partner and I ordered a takeaway from here tonight. Not happy at all. Was an hour and 20 mins to be delivered and when it arrives it is wrong !! Ordered a deep pan pizza they gave me thin crust. My partner ordered a pot of sauce...none arrived. Food was dry and went in the bin. Called about 35 times until someone answered to say they were busy and were rude Sorry bit not good enough you have already taken payment. I will be waiting for a phone call to discuss refunding my money. We will be sharing our experience with all family and friends. Would not recommend !!

They forgot one of our potions of chips (I only ordered 3) and when I called to tell them they didn’t offer a refund but just said they will bring them round. 35 minutes later they turned up. When I said I didn’t want them now I want a refund I was told I have to call the shop. So I did, to which I was greeted by the rudest man over the phone I’ve ever spoke to. He told me I should never have told them to bring the chips back, therefore he refuses to give me a refund and then hung up on me.

I ordered a hot dog pizza last night with no onions but when it arrived there was loads of onions on my pizza luckily my parter loves onions so she had my pizza and I had her nuggets as I am allergic to onions. so I’m not impressed because every other time I’ve ordered from here it’s been excellent. :(

AVOID!!!!! Amateurish set up and a complete farce! Arrived early but driver brought wrong order to door so went back to the car to get correct one... came back with another wrong order so went back to the car... he rang the restaurant while in the car and came back to door with half our order (chips and onion rings) and told us the pizza was at the shop and another driver would bring it. I complained the chips would be cold by the time we got the pizza and he told us to sit down and eat the chips first! Pizza arrived 20 mins later and was cold - don't believe it was at the shop, probably out for delivery with the wrong driver. NO APOLOGY! Pizza was greasy (slimy) and cold. Chips were now cold - for £30 this was an absolute joke. WILL NEVER USE AGAIN AND I SUGGEST YOU THINK TWICE ABOUT ORDERING FROM SUCH A POORLY ORGANISED SHOP WITH APPALLING CUSTOMER SERVICE!

first of all they said they hadn’t received the order and advised I called Just eat which I did. they said it had been sent through to the restaurant so they’d call them. I called the restaurant back and this time they tried to tell me it had already been delivered but they’ll deliver it again within 20 minutes. I’m really disappointed with the order tonight! especially as I had to cook my 3 year old a meal in the end as she was ready for bed

Food took 1hr and 20mins to arrive. incorrect drinks delivered and yet another hour on from speaking to them we are still waiting for the correct drinks. order placed at 7.20. now 9.40. I could’ve walked there and back quicker. won’t order from here again

Paid for my food and delivery didn't even show up. After 1hr I phone the kebab shop and they said the driver deliver (obviously to the wrong house) shop wouldn't authorise a refund from just eat! Avoid this terrible service

The pizza wasn't great. The toppings on it hadnt been cooked for long enough and it all fell apart when you picked it up. Such a shame as normally great food. Not sure i will be ordering again anytime soon.
