Very busy, which is always a good sign. It took a little while after our reservation to be seated, but they were very attentive to us while we waited at the bar. The servers were all super friendly and regularly checked in to make sure everything was fine with our meal. Then the food itself was incredible — couldn’t have asked for much more. Proper Italian food, cooked perfectly. What was incredibly refreshing was that, when getting the bill, at no point were we asked to pay a tip or have a service charge added — something that most restaurants try to pressure you into these days. I have nothing negative at all to say about L’Aquilla and can’t recommend it enough. An absolute must-visit. We will certainly be going back.

A bit noisy an a bit pricey food excellent though steak to die for an prawns were fab attentive staff a wobbly table though we coped 1st time here not sure I'd come again couldn't really hear ourselves talk very busy so food speaks for itself it was excellent a bit expensive you get what u pay for though close to Heaton park about 5 m8n walk away not a massive restaurant may go during a week day an not a weekend best booking toilets clean an tidy

There were10 of us, we were so well looked after by all staff and food was superb, nothing was too much trouble for them. My daughter unfortunately passed out and was sick but the staff were amazing with her. Thank you so so much to all who helped her. We will definitely be back.

Pleasantly surprised! Food was really good. Felt a bit like I was on holiday when I walked in, but dated décor, but the waitress was really friendly and gave some good recommendations for food and it was delicious! 💯 Recommend this place! We will definitely come back. Steak pasta and lobster pasta where really good. Aranchini and tiramisu was quite good

Food great, plenty to choose from and was full of flavour when arrived. Service was excellent, only downside was we waited almost 45 minutes for our bill. Would rate higher but something so simple made a huge difference... The lights are far too bright for a restaurant, it took away 'romance' when going for an Italian with your partner.
