Lansdowne Bakery in Cornwall, Isles of Scilly

Bought a longed for lardy cake as a holiday treat which sadly disappointed as very dry and tasteless. Looked much nicer than tasted.

Bei coeliac it's hard to find bread which is edible!. OMG I have found the freshest the tastiest seeded loaf on this planet , my first loaf was gone in one day couldn't stop putting a good bit of lurpack on and it was delicious!!!!! Even do gf Cornish pasties,scones ect An absolute gem of a bakery perfect food for all perfect warming staff and such a pleasant bakery... WELL DONE!*********

A lovely traditional bakery. Fantastic fresh bread. Lovely Belgium buns and chocolate Viennese. Definitely worth a visit 😊

Just to let all you fellow Coeliacs out there, that you must visit this bakery. They offer scrumptious white and seeded loaves, mouth watering muffins, the best sausage rolls and meat pasties that I have ever tasted. I literally tried them all during our holiday over the ladt two weeks. They even offer a delivery service. Please do visit or try an online order you will not be disappointed 🌟

When I lived in Bude some (??) years ago this was the bakery we used and it hasn't changed! Glorious fresh baked bread; incredible real cornish pasties and so much more. Give it a go, you won't be disappointed

We were looking for somewhere to pick up some authentic Cornish pasties while we were in Bude. The sign outside Lansdown Bakery informed us that they've been doing it since 1839 so we figured they probably know what they're doing! The pasties were delicious, really full and the perfect lunchtime snack. Their other products also looked great, but we were on a hunt for the perfect pasty, and we got it!

We love this place, the staff are nice, welcoming and super helpful. We visit here almost daily when at my parents cottage and holidaying. The Pasties are the best we have ever had. The selection of cakes and gluten free vegan options are amazing (even though we aren't either). They literally cater for everyone and the price is so reasonable. We find cornish pasties anywhere else seem to be too seasoned or bland. If you visit Bude, this bakery is an absolute must. We even called on Friday on the way home to save eating rubbish food at the service stops. We will definitely be visiting again.

Returned after excellent bakery products last year and we weren't disappointed. Had hot pasties last time to eat on the beach. We chose cold traditional pasty and cheese and potatoe pasties this time to warm up at home for dinner. Nice well balanced seasoning cooked &, well filled with authentic Cornish filling heated well in the oven but would imagine quality results if we'd used used microwave.Have tried different bakers in Bude but would highly recommend this small friendly shop.

We loved this little bakery. Great service with in our view the best pasties in Bude. Also the Bread pudding was to die for we had 2 every day of our 4 day stay & our only regret was not ordering some to bring home.

Fantastic, we found they were the best homemade in Bude, yep we tried them all. Bought six to bring home to Derbyshire, froze them, had one tonight, delicious.

Needs to standardise their labelling but otherwise excellent.

We liked the pasties and breakfast buns at this bakery. The staff are friendly. Queues outside seem a good sign. The bakery dates from the 19th century and is in a good location. There’s a good display of their products in the window including lardy cake, Chelsea buns, doughnuts, pasties, cream cake, tiffin and slices.

Great vegan sausage roll - crispy and buttery pastry and a tasty filling. The cake selection was amazing, as was the hot pies/pastries etc. very friendly staff decent prices

We visit this bakery every year when on holiday. Amazing staff amazing food, especially the pasties, bread pudding and treacle tart. The beat pasties in town.

Very nice pasties, but not quite as good as the Cornish Bakery. Good ingredients, but not the same level of seasoning. This ends my pasty survey in Bude! Didn't have time to eat any more and now need to lose some weight!!

Lovely and tempting freshly made. Wonderful selection of baked goods to choose from. Old fashioned favourites. Lovely, caring and knowledgeable staff. Doughnuts very fresh and moorish, Took us back to childhood days. Meat pies were lovely.

We were made to feel lovely & welcome by the lady serving us. We bought some fresh baps for our burgers & purchased some buttercream meringues which were lovely. Small bakery but lovely & traditional. Well worth a visit.

The only trouble with this place is there's so much to choose from I have to resist coming out with a box of cakes instead of just one. All beautifully laid out and far too tempting for my own good. Great fresh baked bread too...

Struggled to find anywhere in Bude to get a nice sandwich & then we stumbled across this bakery! With it's fresh filled rolls & baguettes & beautiful baked cakes, we left as 5 very happy customers. Only wish I had found this place sooner

I visit Bude twice a year and always head here to buy bread rolls as lovely and soft. Delicious homemade pizza too. Cakes delicious as well!
