Chicken over battered, chips very few. Overall I really want to like this place but the food is poor, if you want a drink other than beer (which are good) it’s awful. Change the chef or change portion. It’s been the same. For ages. We go discounted, come back two months later. The same. Wine is awful, and get to grip on drink sizes.

Disappointed at the beer prices. At the end of the day it's a backstreet pub that does food, not a city centre bar by the docks. I'm surprised there have been no other reviews in 2023?

We had Sunday lunch here and it’s one of the best I’ve had in Bristol. Lamb with salsa verde was amazing! Would highly recommend.

Went with family to celebrate a birthday and was expecting amazing food but was very disappointed with Sunday lunch. The veg was very poor and barely any on plate Tiny portion of cabbage and swede and one carrot You also had to pay extra for stuffing !

It’s great to have a nicer pub in the area which is welcoming to everyone- including dogs! I’m not sure what some of the other reviews are talking about food wise... the portions are large and it’s reasonably priced for the quality of food you get. This isn’t bog standard pub fare, the menu is well thought out with some delicious twists on the classics. There are plenty of standard cheap and cheerful pubs in the area and it’s great to see something of a higher quality. Starters £5/£6, mains £10-12 so really not expensive as others are making out. Excellent service too!

Nice location... For price of food - nice as it was - burger and fries - small portions - token relish and small fries - why skimp ? Would cost pennies and give The Customer better value and more likely to go more often !

I went there at the end of December and have now been there 4 times (it’s only 13 Feb today). Super friendly service, quick and food excellent every time. Lots of vegetarians in my family and the pub is always happy to adapt meals on its menu for them when asked. I also have a 10 month old and they have always happily microwaved the food we bring for him. Also lovely venue with a very close kids park opposite.

I have visited this pub a few times now, before and since the referb. Nice to see it's face lift and the idea of idea of having a meal there. Along side a great choice of beers, lagers, ciders and more. However. The price of beer etc. is the same if not higher than town/city centre prices. I notice some people don't even get a full pint. Which is insulting since they increased the prices recently (2nd time in 12 months) As for the food. So over priced, as nice as it may be. To take or go as a family you'd need to take out a small loan. Food is being carried through the bar area to the lounge, not ideal on busy days. I've seen dogs round by people trying to eat. If I was to pay that much for a meal, I wouldn't want any dogs near me. There is "background" music, quite often too loud making conversations difficult. Overall, nice pub. However in comparison to before referb, although more people using the pub, it seems to have lost it's soul. Will see how the next few months go and review again.

Good spot for a tasty Sunday lunch with 2 veggie options (although I did have pork). Wasn't expecting much from the Yorkshire puddings (see reviews below) but they were delish. Friendly, efficient service and a pleasant environment.

The Langton Court has recently been refurbished (summer 2019). Any reviews before then are irrelevant to new searches and experiences. I would happily take family and friends there, in fact this coming weekend (11th Jan 2020) I intend to take a high ranking MP there for lunch. If I could make one recommendation, perhaps the menu is a little limited and some items are too pricey. Nevertheless, it is a breath of fresh air compared to other pubs in the area.

Walked up to The Langton for lunch on a day off from work. Not very busy inside but a few people in the beer garden. Ordered drinks and looked at the menu. Limited menu on a lunchtime but the burger with extra Cheese was really good. Nicola had Bacon, Brie & Cranberry baguette with a side order of chips. This was also pretty tasty. The chunky chips are excellent. Good selection of beers (real ale and craft), ciders and lagers. As the afternoon progressed the pub got a little busier which added a little more atmosphere. All in all a pretty decent afternoon out we will be going again soon to sample the wider evening menu.

Food was lovely but very small for what we were charged! Service was…..poor and the final straw was a 12.5% service charge which NO ONE MENTIONED. Would not recommend unfortunately.
