Ventilation of this place is awful! There are also some controversial are on the wall which I strongly recommend the owner to bring them down.

Incredibly rude staff. I was walking past the Vittoria yesterday afternoon when one of the staff was putting their tables out. The staff member swung a table round into my face. I blocked it with my arm. He then carried on putting the tables out without acknowledging me. I pointed out that he'd smacked me with the table, to which he replied, "And what?". He then said he didn't have eyes in the back of his head and didn't have time to look all around him when he's busy. I was walking on the pavement - he needs to be more careful and to not even apologise is crazy. I've enjoyed drinks in the Vittoria before but won't be back.

The staff are really friendly and there's a good selection of cocktails. However the beer selection is rather lacking and it suffers from a lack of space, essentially being a shop front converted into a bar. If you can find a time when it's not overly busy, it's pretty good, but generally over priced in my opinion and always end up sitting outside.

A rare find these days - a real drinkers' pub in Clifton! There used to be many but some have closed (The Peeler, The Portland Vaults, The Byron House), some are pretty much restaurants (The Albion, the Clifton) and the Corrie Tap is a pale shadow of its old self. But the Vitoria is a joy, a place to sink a few good pints and have a chat without having to yell over loud music. The bar staff were very friendly too.

The worst roast ever 😅 We think things were portioned with a tea spoon. 🥄 Literally a mouthful of stuffing, cauli cheese that was mush, two teeny bits of squash and two slithers of tasteless meat. The "gravy" was just greasy water. 🙃 best part was the Yorkie. And that's just the food.... the pub itself is GRIM. Dirty, sticky and run down. We left so disappointed. A wasted Sunday roast when there are so many other amazing places in Bristol. Avoid. The order: Beef - £14 Beef & pork - £16 📅 Visited in October 2023

Nice pub, interesting sort of bar. Came here for a roast as it was highly recommended, the roast itself was really tasty, cauli cheese was amazing, veg was nice. The beef and the pork belly was super tasty. Price was decent and I didn't have to pay extra for the cauli cheese which was a nice change. The only thing I didn't massively like was the fried potatoes slices instead of roast potatoes. Other than that it's top notch. the drinks they serve are nice as well, bottomless bloody Marys for £5.

We’ve been many times to this bar but never again! My husband and I had one delicious glass of red wine and then asked for two more of the same. We were served an old, undrinkable, thick & sweet wine that wasn’t the same. When we complained, the bar staff refused to replace it and said we would have to pay again for two new glasses. We left our full glasses of undrinkable wine on the counter and left as the bar staff sniggered. I’ve been in hospitality all my working life and I haven’t experienced this lack of professionalism since the 1970’s.

The worst roast dinner I’ve ever had at a restaurant. The roast beef was tasteless, gravy was more like water, Yorkshire pudding was burnt and flat, the stuffing (with beef?) was also burnt and the tea spoon of cauliflower cheese was average at best. Didn’t fancy cooking so popped along on Sunday for a roast for my partner and our little one. Greeted as we entered we were quickly shown a table and explained what food offering they had. A drinks menu was brought over quickly and we enjoyed a couple of cocktails whilst waiting 15-20mins for our roasts. We had a beef and a pork plus a little beef for our 4yr old. All was very tasty and the server very quickly offered to grab a cool plate for little’un due to hot plates, nice touch, and we cleared our plates joyfully. Nice cauli cheese served as standard and the meats were both cooked well. We will return next time we can’t be bothered to cook. Bonus points should be given to the nice lady on the bar as we left who spotted our tot and recommended a free events room down the road on our walk home. We had lots of fun.

I visited the Vittoria with a group of friends a few weeks ago. We were looking for a roast spot and could see that this place had good reviews. On arrival, the staff were friendly. When it came to ordering, were no food menus, or clear prices which was a bit confusing. The waitress said they had pork or beef roasts and could pay ‘a few pounds extra’ to ‘double up’. When asked for clarity, she confirmed it would be £1 to have both meats, which seemed reasonable. There were 6 of us, 4 went for the double up and myself and one other of my party went for pork. We were under the impression that we would get less pork if we doubled up and weren’t keen on having beef that day. I am gluten free, so asked if I could have mine gluten free, they said I wouldn’t be able to have the Yorkshire pudding, cauliflower cheese or stuffing but they promised that they would bump it up with extra veg/potatoes to make up for it. It wasn’t particularly busy at all so we had assumed that we would get our food rather quickly. After waiting for 50 minutes, we asked the staff how long it would be and they told us it would be shortly. By the time we got our food, over an hour had passed since ordering. When the food came, there was a shocking difference between my plate and the other people in my group. The kitchen served me the exact same amount of veg (basically 1 of each vegetable) and potatoes (2 each) as everyone else, rather than topping me up to account for the fact I am allergic to some components. My friend took pity on my abysmal looking lunch and gave me some of his parsnips (after roaring with laughter at how pitiful it looked). One thing we all had in common however, was the pork. Worst pork I’ve ever eaten. It was rock hard, a struggle to chew and even more of a struggle to swallow. We joked that the reason the kitchen took so long is because they were spending that time overcooking our meat! It was terrible. I was swallowing whole chunks as I was unable to chew it down. The two of us that got the pork were expecting 2 pieces to equate to the same amount as the people that paid extra for beef (it was just one piece, which to be fair I am grateful for as it was so horrible). Apparently the beef was better than the pork, but still nothing special. One good thing - they do refillable bloody Mary’s for £5, which my friends enjoyed. I usually would have said something there and then but my friends had waited so long by that time they just wanted to eat and leave and I didn’t want to cause a fuss on our day out. I definitely wouldn’t return again and feel very confused as to why it has good reviews.

We had a really bad experience. We are professional people visiting Bristol. (A lawyer and a teacher). I tipped over a drink by accident and the girl, who dyes her hair bleach blonde with roots, said that I had had too much to drink - not the case as I write this review whilst in the pub. I asked for a drink to replace and the drink was not made. I asked why and they told me it was a cocktail (it was a gin and tonic - I worked in a bar when I was a teenager and it’s not that difficult). I challenged this and we were then told we were not being served. Clearly because we are old enough and wise enough not to put up with speaking to like that by some inexperienced teenagers. He said “you are in my work-space”. Well, I am spending money in your work-space. Defensive and inexperienced. This is NOT how to behave towards paying customers. Luckily we go home earning a hell of a lot more money and living a better life than the bar staff here do. But I guess that’s what happens when you don’t listen at school. They have a cocktail “respect your elders”, I don’t think these teenagers understand this concept.

Oh wow!! What a lovely place. We visited here for the first time on our yearly trip to Bristol and it was wonderful. It's in a nice pretty location at Clifton village, by a little quant street with other eateries and pretty shops. It had a really lovely vibe. We sat outside and soaked up the atmosphere. Very relaxing. The lady who served us was so welcoming and friendly and gave us plenty of time to choose (so many delicious things to choose from it took us a while!!) The cafe is pretty inside, it also has a little shop area selling gifts and house things. There is such a wonderful selection of vegan cakes and drinks. The cakes looked amazing. They certainly know how to showcase vegan cakes. I wanted to try all of them 😋 The drink selection was really good too, lots of unusual things to try. The lavender coffee was delicious. All in all, the food, atmosphere, drinks and service was fantastic and we'll certainly return on our next visit to Bristol. This place was a highlight of our visit. Just wish we didn't live so far away....this would be a regular coffee and cake stop for us 😋😋😋
