We were made to feel very welcome. Service was prompt , couldn't fault in customer service . HOWEVER, I had the French Onion Soup . OH DEAR . the onions were clear , not caramelised in any way . It tasted like onion water. SERIOUSLY AWFUL. This fault is with the cook /chef. This soup should be dark brown , onions brown , beef broth. It should also have cheese croutons on top. Someone needs some tuition. Husband lunch was lovely but would not recommend the soup. We will give it a try again.

Came here for lunch with a friend and was very impressed with the quality of the food and the impeccable service from all staff who were courteous, attentive and efficient throughout our visit. I had the chicken broth which was absolutely delicious and a very sinful almond and apple cake to finish off - bliss!

Good signage and a safe access off the busy road. Plenty of parking. A bright new cafe with plenty of seating and a well stocked shop with many nature related items. The site is close to an olf crannog site and this is explained on an information board. The menu is quite extensive with the usual items at fair prices. The staff were very attentive and clearly well trained. Good home baking and strong coffee. The menu is also an information pack informing you of the other activities that occur at the site and also the various events that are arranged throughout the months ahead. A small garden centre is located nearby and you pay in the cafe.

After failed attempts at a couple of other places as we made our way home we had almost given up on lunch (fully booked at The Tipsy Cow, Airdrie and a power cut at The Silver Birch Café at Crossford). Thankfully Langloch Farm was open and despite being busy we got a parking space and a table. This time around, no doubt wary of a chilling wind, the main door had been closed to prevent a through-draught and customers were being directed to the “dog entrance“! We came in through the patio doors and noticed that plenty of dogs had found their way in too. I think we were in a minority of customers who didn’t have their pet with them. If you’re not keen on sharing your eating space with animals, probably better to think twice about visiting on days like this however the dogs were all well behaved thankfully. There is a decent selection of soups, sandwiches, etc and we kept it simple by having a couple of Bacon, Brie and Cranberry Paninis (£7.95 each). These were very good - crispy bacon, melted brie and plenty of cranberries together with some very tasty salad and coleslaw. The cake display is large and for dessert my wife had a piece of Passion fruit & Coconut Cake whilst I had a slice of Lemon & Lime Sponge. They were both good however the Passion fruit & Coconut was particularly nice. We had a couple of large Americano coffees, a regular one and a tea along with our lunch which brought the bill to £36 for two which we thought was reasonable value for money. There is a small play area and a short walking trail on the site but neither were being used due to the weather conditions at the time of our visit. Nice place between Lanark town and the Hyndford Bridge if you’re passing through.

The café is located on the outskirts of Lanark, between Hyndford Bridge and Lanark Agricultural Market and provides breakfast and lunches. There is parking onsite, a play park and a short walking trail. The interior is bright and modern and we were quickly welcomed and shown to a table. It transpires this was in line with the door and with people lingering in the doorway as they arrived and departed we experienced a bit of a draught during the visit (it was a chilly day). The menu doesn’t extend to mains but there are plenty of light bites in the form of soup, sandwiches, toasties, paninis and baked potatoes. There is also a good selection of cakes and tray bakes. My wife and I both opted for the Bacon, Brie & Cranberry Panini served with salad and coleslaw (£7.25) and a large and regular Americano coffee. These were brought to the table in reasonable time and everything was of a good quality and taste. We decided to have meringue roulade for dessert, along with another couple of regular coffees. The roulade, with lots of cream, some fresh raspberries, and assorted sweets would probably use up an adult’s entire sugar intake for the week but we just about managed to finish them - could probably share one between two. Our lunch, which was filling, cost £33 in total and we thought this was reasonable value. We would return if in the area and looking for a snack.

Always great food and service, they’ve really turned the place around from a cafe to a restaurant. Going to give the steak night a try next!

Old fashioned, charming pub/restaurant from a bygone era. However, it's genuinely one of the best lunches I've ever had. 10/10, couldn't recommend the restaurant highly enough.
