SHOCKING. Crispy duck definately not crispy. Ordered half for 2 people and hardly enough to feed one. Have had 1/2 duck many times other places and always plenty .

Put it this way it ended up in the bin and I'm £12 down. Never again

Really bad food..avoid...called to say it was awful and we couldn't eat it, greasy, cold, undercooked....took photos....got a mouthful of verbal abuse saying I was wasting their time. Will post again if I get a refund..otherwise just avoid it. £50 wasted!!

Absolutely awful takeout delivery service. Greasy, cold, undercooked rubbish slop. Called to say I was not happy and will be returning the food uneaten. Not even sure what some if the dishes were tbh. £50 wasted basically...got a mouthful from the lady on the phone saying I was talking rubbish and easting their time..took 20 minutes to drive to collect as they didnt deliver. Really bad, avoid!!

First time trying this place. We ordered over the phone and had to drive 8 miles to collect. As soon as I entered the shop it looked run down and dirty, same as the staff. When we got home to see what we had purchased our faces dropped. The food, to put it bluntly was cold, grease laden over cooked or not really cooked at all, SLOP. Only place it was fit for was the bin! Be warned, if you fancy food poisoning on a Saturday night this is the place for you!

Always a friendly service and the food is pretty decent and well priced. Much better than Wing Fong down the road!

Simply the best Chinese and the best takeaway in Barnstable they simply cannot be beaten on quality price or customer service if you’re in the area it is a definit must and also it is always a pleasure to see Cindy the owner as she is always very friendly and happy

Walked in and the customer service was great I ordered my food and it was out in good time, went home too eat it and it was perfect.

Disappointed and disgusted. Prawn crakers were stale,off coloured and inedible. Egg fried rice was overcooked, stodgy and tasteless. Chicken curry was watery with no texture, boiled chicken rubbery and lacking taste. Shrimp foo young was flavourless and had only 4 shrimps in it chicken chow mein not even worth commenting about Waited for an hour and a half and was delivered cold. Nothing about the meal had any positive aspect. I would not recommend this Chinese food to anyone. A waste of money

Very bad service from them . Even if they send you the wrong food they will not take any action to make matters right even if you are a good customer they really don't care . They really don't know about customer service in that place . Plus they charge different prices each time you order a delivery and that can happen twice in one week . It's only 50p here and there but it adds up and if you are lucky enough to speak with the owner she is a very angry lady and won't help you with you problem. So buyer beware of this shop . Shame as the food is ok .

So we order, first of all they know from previous order's a member of the household does not eat pork, last time I was told don't worry nothing is ever mixed, I ordered battered cod, a battered sausage, 5 scallops (nealry whole un peeled potatoes) 3 portions of banana fritters (oily) main issue is that the separate dish of fish was mixed with the battered sausage previous promises aside nothing is ever mixed it was, this would have been fine however the fish smelt of the sausage both being wrapped together had allowed for the fats of each to swap and settle) I simply ask to have my gish replaced, I was met with a NO! You need to pay again If you want more fish, they committed a fallacy in stating out othe customers don't care about them being mixed, this is an appeal to majority and popularity, not a assertion of what is actually correct, let's use logic to deduce whether what happened was okay, I order two mains 1. cod, 2. sausage not a mix of or combination of the two, if we were to say be delivered another combination not asked for, one where buying a sweet and sour chicken dish 1. ends up in the same tub as dish 2. a beef in black bean sauce would too by their flimsy, unprofessional logic leave the orderer with a "NO!" you did not specify to keep the two mains separate unlucky!! This is ridiculous, I explained I am Torrah observant, meaning by levitical law prohibits me from eating swine or swine contaminated food, yes the rest of their "food" isn't kosher but fish prayed over becomes such, unless its contaminated. The argued rudely for ages with me the stress caused ruined the entire family meal! I am the man of the family whom now has no main! Nor is my side edible in the form of these jacketed potatoes steeped in oil wrapped in batter, its a Friday I am starving I am tired to be spoken to so rudely and frankly robbed, I could of cooked much better with less effort. Disgusting grease infused rubbish.

Rude women at the counter!! They got 100 dishes in the menu but if you ask a question she just mocks on your face. Never going back again.

I have been here tonight for my son and I. Never have I smelt nor indeed tasted such poor quality food, dripping in oil, the quality was unbelievable, I has something what looks like "dishcloth" in my noodles". Never ever again!!!

Took 2 hours to turn up food was okay. 45 mins delivery the rest was cooking need to hire more drivers

Orderd 2 chow mains curry sauce chips and prawn crackers chips were like yesterdays chips the chicken was under cooked and looked like the underneath meat if a chicken carcus won't be ordering again we worked it out to cost 16 pound charged 22 .30 what a waste of money and food

The food was disgusting and cold.

Not good at all, food cold, bland and soggy, sweet and sour sauce to go with the undercooked chicken balls was awful tasted like vinegar looked like dish water, chips looked like someone had attempted to fry them but gave up when the oil was still luke warm. Overall worst take away I've ever attempted to eat.

I ordered a meal for 1 and a pancake roll tonight, which took 45 mins. And when we opened it all, the pancake was soggy Not crispy, pork balls was pink, rise was bland and the sweet n sour sauce had a vinegar taste. In the meal their wasn't any flavour and all looked and tasted grey bland and disgusting. I'm not sure why your food was like this tonight but you have a duty of care to make your food with passion and tastyno colour or taste it looked

So I started working at Lang son house couple years ago recently I explained I was offered a new job and explained it wouldn’t start for a few weeks and would let my boss Cindy know. I took one day off sick as wasn’t feeling great and when I went in the following weekend she just said she hired someone else. Other staff have been ill and not been told they need to isolate but with me I was told that the test I done wasn’t right when it was a proper test. Now they are refusing to give me a reference especially after I spent 8 weeks of my own time building there website turned up half hour early every weekend. Even traveled back from my Holiday to work bank Hoilday cause Cindy wasn’t happy I was taking time off. You constantly get treated like dirt and after all the hard work I put in the two years to be treated and dismissed for know reason all because I got a new job. Now none of them have got back to me about the reference all I’ve had is a letter to say I’ve verbally gave my notice which wasn’t true. All the customer are nice and loyal but when members of staff are treated wrong something has to be said I would not recommend going here anymore! Worst person to work for charges staff if they make a mistake on food doesn’t give the deposit back for the uniform and they still charge for card payments which is not allowed anymore. They also charge more now on delivery if spending less than ten pound. For someone to work two years and go the extra mile to be sacked is ridiculous all because I’ve been offered a new job and now they are risking that cause they refuse to do a reference.

I has order Singapore rice noodle and king prawn chow Mei they give me chow Mei without any dark soya sauce, I think they run out all the sauce and they serve without the sauce. I called them to explain the situation... the owner shout at me said ( you talking chilli) I just hung up the call because I have child with me is pointless arguing for £10. She don’t want listen our feed back or apologies.

0rded a delivery at5,15 tonight for 7pm no show waited to 715 pm rang them will be delivered soon 730 still no show phoned again got told to come and collect when got there food not ready had to wait to 7.45 not a happy customer customer 27/3/21

Mmmm not great. I had chow mein and my daughter had vegetables in black bean sauce. Mine was not great as the grease clung to my lips and was not nice. The only vegetables were peas. My daughter had vegetables in black bean sauce. Carrot mushroom and bean shoot. Very disappointed. Can make better myself.

Burnt rice and the odd Noodle in the rice and the noodles are bland and tasteless the meat was really fatty and took 1:30 hours very disappointing and will not be going back

Because I've been going here for many years always good quality.

Don't order delivery with them. The order took over an hour and a quarter to arrive and was stone cold. Owner was very aggressive when I complained saying it's my fault for not waiting long enough.

So disappointed. We haven't eaten here for a long time so Thought we would give it a go. Food was really greasy, pancake rolls were soggy, we were all poorly-not at all worth it.

We used to use this all the time but started going to the Fulham which is more expensive but better quality . Recently however we thought why not give Lang son another try they might have raised their bar but it is still much the same good but not so good . It is still cheaper though

Food took a while to come but cheap and great tasting food, I had the contanentiel chicken with egg and fried rice :)

The food was spot on!the delivery driver how ever turned up outside my flat with my food in hand and began chatting to someone for at least 10 minutes forcing me to have to go downstairs and get it from him! And then he had the cheek to be rude!he's the one that drives the (black BMW) apart from that the food is amazing

Got a takeaway from here on recommendation. I have to say very disappointed. Special fried rice very soggy, over cooked with pork and mushroom only , the Singapore rice noddles, the same over cooked with pork and four small prawns. And burnt seaweed.

First time tonight...this will now be our preferred choice in the area. Blew all others away.

In my opinion it is the best place to get Chinese food in Barnstaple . The owner is very warm and nice woman, always greets you with the smile. You need to try spice ribs and prawns!

We always get our take away from here and have never had a problem. How ever it's gone down hill rapidly every thing used to be cooked properly and taste wonderful now the pancake roll is not cooked properly, chips are dry. The rest taste vile so will never order from them again shocking as it was so good once upon a time

Recomendaría mucho que probó la carne crujiente aquí, es el mejor que he probado. Estado viniendo aquí con mi familia durante 20 años específicamente para conseguir, nos dirigiremos a aproximadamente 30 millas una vez sólo porque no podemos conseguir suficiente y nunca lo hará. No se lo pierda!

Our Favourite Chinese in Barnstaple!! Yummy food and a really good variety of English food too. The Sausage and chips is just as good as the Lemon Chicken!! 5 stars!

We have used this Chinese on and off for years but within the last 2 months we have had meals that were almost inedible, due to being extremely greasy and only warm in temperature, rang to complain, to be told: sat night extremely busy and as we have ours delivered, a few deliveries could be before ours! Shoddy excuse as we nearly always have food delivered wherever we order from and it's always been hot and good from other restaurants, will not be going back as many other better Chinese to get food from.

Not really great here, the food is average and the staff well below, always a wait Around the corner in vicarage st. is Wingfong......absolutely stunning food cooked fresh and ready on time....no comparison!!

Lovely manager, never had a problem with food until recently, new staff are terrible, rude to customers and waited 2 hours for food to arrive cold and complaint brushed off with rude customer service.

This place has literally gone to the skids I mean cold food, a pancake roll that had meat that was really red and and looked uncooked to be told there is nothing wrong with it.I know otherwise plus their attitude stunk Don't bother.
