Great food, great service, just not very busy to get the atmosphere

The karaoke is closed forever I think

We came to this restaurant as a family for dinner and were impressed by the wide selection of ingredients available for the hotpot. In addition to the delicious food, we were able to have a fun time singing karaoke with the wide range of English and Chinese music to choose from. Overall, it was a great experience and we would definitely come back again.

The best authentic Chinese food outside China! The decor of the restaurant is pure authentic too!!! If you want real Chinese food go here. The bbq fish is great and the guo bao rou is amazing! You can get bai jiu too!!! Thanks guys!!! See you next time!

The boss is a friend of mine. It's so funny. As for the food, I would recommend turnip and brisket. Chicken soup, lamb soup (by appointment) or white gourd ribs soup. In the concept of Chinese medicine, eating radish in winter is to make up Yang Qi. It can prevent colds. Chicken soup is suitable for nourishing blood, has been menstruating or is menstruating women to drink chicken soup can nourish qi and blood. Mutton soup is suitable for people who are in good health. Mutton soup is not good for those who have a cold or poor health because of its heavy blood. But for people who are in good health, that's a huge boost to your sex life.

Great place to go. Reasonable price for hot pot. Lovely karaoke rooms which have songs in many languages.

Prawns, fish, beef, chicken and veg, yes mix it up eat all you want, can’t fault it on flavours, good little place, all my friends really enjoyed it. The price was just right £20pp just perfect.

£20 per head is such a good bargain! All you can eat! The place was nice and cleaned and you get a hot pot and and BBQ!

This place is everything you'd ask for. Great food, served promptly, helpful staff, excellent atmosphere and nice decor. We had a great night there. Thoroughly recommend for parties, staff get togethers etc

Upstairs restaurant serving excellent and varied Asian dishes, primarily Chinese. We opted for having a private karaoke lounge with the provision of a buffet meal for all of our group. This was really delicious and could not be faulted for quality freshness and all served piping hot. Karaoke facilities were excellent, comparable with establishments I have visited in Japan. Range of music was extensive and available in different languages. Staff were very pleasant and attentive, nothing was too much trouble. Want a good night out and pretend you are on X-Factor, make the effort to get away from the sofa and go to Lan Club. You won't be disappointed.

Went here for an evening on a hen weekend (granny and grandad fancy dress). 17 of us had a private room for the evening, it was available from 19.30-23.30 which was just the right amount of time. Food was excellent, really good selection of Chinese food. Also was great value for money. The karaoke was great, only downside was the lack of songs available and the machine was slightly complicated! Other than that it was fine. At 23.30 the staff came in quite abruptly and took the microphones so we had to stop mid-song, they could of waited until we had finished! Just a few minor issues during the evening but that might be me being picky. Would definitely recommend a visit though, especially when you are with a big crowd of people.

Serving Hotpot and Grill, Lan Club has soon found it's loyal customers in Bournemouth. My friend told me this is a must have in Bournemouth as it is cheaper than London and they serve authentic food. The restaurant is decorated in a modern Chinese style with Karaoke rooms available upon request. It is also the authentic Karaoke with proper music videos instead of the standard British ones we see here. I have been craving lamb hotpot for a while now so it's a nice quick fix. For those who are unfamiliar with hotpot, there's thin slices of beef or lamb (pork here as well) for you to cook in the stock inside the hotpot. You will pick them up with the chopstick and just gently swing them inside the hot soup for a few seconds to until cooked. Then you can dip them in the sauce you made from the sauce station and enjoy. One of my friends also brought in 2 super fresh fishes to be prepared here and it was cooked perfectly with the meat being tender but also just off the bones. Service was excellent as people are very friendly and gave good recommendations. It is an ideal place for larger group but please be prepared to sleep in the next day.

Went to the Lan Club for the first time with a decent vibe and lovely oriental food. Can't fault it's unique approach to wining and dining! My experience was heightened thanks to a CHEAP car park on St Paul's Lane, BH8 8AJ, from just £1!

We visited this Karaoke bar, chinese restaurant the other night with a group of friends, we had the most amazing evening, we booked the private room for the karaoke and had a set chinese meal that was laid up buffet style, the choice of food was fantastic with starters (duck pancakes,prawn toast,spring rolls,and chicken satay) main dishes include beef, chicken, noodles and rice. It was my wife idea to go for a karaoke evening and I must say I really was not keen to go, but as it was a private room, and after a few drinks we all got into it and had the most enjoyable evening. The sound system in the private rooms are high quality with a really varied and extensive music library to chose from, so something for everyone to sing. The people in the venue are really helpful and friendly and will demonstrate how to use the equipment. All in all a great night out and highly recommended, try it, I promise you will enjoy it!

This is a great place to sit around a traditional Chinese Hot Pot & Korean Barbecue and cook the wide range of foods that you select from the chiller unit. Either go with someone who knows the protocol or ensure you are next to a table of experienced regulars. Allow a couple of hours and take it slowly; the Hot Pot is a container with two compartments containing hot stock (or as my Chinese wife describes it, "soup" - Chinese soup is usually thin often with subtle flavours not thick and doused with cream). There is a wide selection of meats, seafood and vegetables to cook in the Hot Pot. The Korean Barbecue is right next to the Hot Pot induction heater and has a special paper (that is changed regularly as it browns) on it rather than a pan. Again there are lots of different things to cook on the Barbecue. The trick with the Hot Pot is ensure the stock is just boiling (both cookers have adjustable controls) and not too much stuff is loaded into it. Slow and steady for a fun meal. Costs yesterday were £18 per head; so good value if you want to make an experience of it. It gets very busy on a Monday when those in the 'Take Away' business have a day off and relax at the Lan Club. I haven't tried the Karaoke but my wife seems to enjoy her ladies lunch & singing sessions there!

I had my birthday party here and was initiated into the world of the Beijing Hot Pot. The waitress had to show us what to do! We had the most amazing feast where one has unlimited food, which you cook yourself in various different stews or BBQ. The kitchen and restaurant was immaculate and the staff friendly and helpful, particularly with my elderly Mother.

Went for karaoke for 2 hours.(that would be 4/5 bar the issues with sound)amazing fun of no kids silliness. However afterwards we had an attempt at being stung for £20 as 'we used the large,not small room'. Not the £3 each per hour we were quoted pre-going in. The rooms were empty anyway. Disgusting customer services. But it was great fun! :)

Was a amazing evening singing eating and drinking! the hosts were all very nice and polite and would do anything to make us feel at ease and happy! food buffet was all tasty and well cooked and great value for money! the karaoke rooms were fun and had a up to date selection of any hits you might want to sing.
