The look of this Restaurant was just nice! All staff is really friendly and has kindly explained, what we wanted to know about the food. We were there with a german group of 6 people. Everybody was happy about the food, we got! I had the szechuan beef - and itbwas great! Tasted few other Things- all was really good! I can reccomend this place

I am writing this review while still in shock of what just happened there with me and my friends . The customer service was extremely terrible, the waiter was so nonchalant and uninterested. There was also a terrible customer there that acted like she worked there and was so rude as well . The manager wasn’t understanding and wasn’t even ready to resolve the problem but instead tried to shut my friend up. Overall experience was disgusting and definitely would not recommend if you care about customer service !!!

Exceptional simply the best place to eat in Bournemouth And also the best hot and sour soup know to man I have been 4 times in two months and can’t wait to go again Also the wine is very reasonably priced

We stumbled upon this place unexpectedly but the food was amazing. The quantity of the food is really good as per the price. I have had Chinese food before in the UK but this restaurant serves nice Chinese fusion.

We always visit this restaurant when on a break to Bournemouth. Not cheap (approx £40 a head) but definitely high end in terms of service and food. The food was delicious and served promptly. " examples of the exceptional service: I had a bit of a cough, not bad, but suddenly was presented, unasked, with a glass of iced water. Then I dropped my fork and before I could do anything about it, I was presented with a clean fork! It is a lovely night out and the customer is made to feel wanted and special.

First came here 10 years ago have been back many times since on special occasions great venue food and staff always excellent this time it was my 68th birthday had a great time even though it is an hour and a half drive from home will always be my favourite restaurant

Love the Mandarin Szechuan Feast set menu. It's our favourite when we visit, and it is always freshly cooked, delicious, and of the same quality. Lovely staff and efficient service. Can't wait to revisit in September!!

Always go to The Mandarin for a family takeaway. Pre ordered and collected at given time, all ready. Lovely very tasty meal.

Mandarin Fusion is a fantastic restaurant. The staff are absolutely wonderful! We’ve dined a couple of times and the food is delicious. We booked a table for Valentine’s Day tomorrow but realised Sate was on the set menu and my partner has peanut allergy. I found the WhatsApp number for Mandarin Fusion and although out of hours, the staff went above and beyond to respond to my questions and to reassure me that my partner could safely dine with them. They even offered to change the sate meal in our set menu so that my partner could enjoy the full dining experience and the chefs have been pre-notified of this allergy. Such a kind and caring atmosphere, lovely restaurant, wonderful staff, incredible food! Honestly cannot fault it and we are super excited to go back tomorrow :)

Visited for our Christmas Dinner, we asked staff to alter their table layout for us, which they very kindly agreed to do. The food and service was excellent. I would definitely recommend this restaurant 👌

Got a take away from this place and really didn’t disappoint was expecting a big standard Chinese take away but the quality of the food was so good. Spare ribs had hunks of meat on it, and normally you get some that are majority fat but these ones were proper quality. The Crispy aromatic duck was to die for you got so much meat. Really can’t fault it and definitely going to be my regular take away. Would look forward to going to the restaurant in the future too

A short stay in Bournemouth, and we were hankering for some Chinese food. Stumbled across this restaurant and glad we did. The food was very good. The service was friendly and quick. Good night out. So would recommend if you're out and about in Bournemouth.

After visiting the cinema, some friends and I popped in to grab some takeaway- we were in a great mood as the local Christmas lights had been turned on that day. The venue looks nice, if not a little quiet and we were greeted by a beautiful lady with a terrible attitude. She asked us to sit at a table with a couple of strangers while we picked our food, but as recovering alcoholics in early sobriety we didn’t feel comfortable joining the stranger with her glass of wine so we stood to the side of the paying station and ordered. The moody lady wandered around barking orders at staff and the gentleman who took our order was experienced, well manicured but also with a touch of distain on his face. I tried to share small talk with him whilst my friends selected their options but I couldn’t help but feel we weren’t welcome there- was it because I was wearing a cap and hoody? Wearing the LGBT flag? Surely not. We were asked to take a walk whilst our food was prepared… we did so and we all made comment on how strange the service had been SO FAR. When we returned the 2 staff members we had dealt with were busy- the lady told the gent not to admit any more diners even tho the venue was less than half full, so we spoke with a younger lady and asked if we could ok if we could sit at a table whilst we waiting for our food. She agreed and in less than 45 seconds the older lady who had originally greeted us told us that we couldn’t sit there as we weren’t dining in… we calmly explained that we were just waiting for our take away. She went into a rave to the younger lady about how we weren’t allowed permitted to stay there and to “clean the whole table when they leave”. Ultimately it’s her venue and her standards so it’s up to her how she runs her venue but to do this in ear shot or the customers, we were clearly well kept, polite, clean and tidy was pretty offensive. On our way home we joked that the food had better make up for the service. It didn’t. Don’t get me wrong, it was fine, but in a town of a million restaurants and takeaways it’s a wonder that this place has stayed open. I will return to eat in Bournemouth but I won’t be returning to this venue. 1 star, would not recommend, I get better service at Maccy D’s.

A filthy restaurant you do not want to eat in. You know it from the moment you enter. I shuffled my table to sit properly only to have my hand covered in chewing gum stuck to its underside. I went to wash my hands in this time of COVID only to find there was no soap in the gentleman's toilet. We declined to eat and left. This is not my kind of restaurant. Later my credit card was charged £20 for a no show reservation for two diners. Absolutely nasty place you don't want any association with.

We have been going to mandarin for over 10 years and in that time we’ve noticed a big decline in the food and taste of the food. We had a meal the other night and after spending a lot of money this will now be our last meal at the restaurant. I’m not sure if the chef has changed over recent months/years but it’s sadly our last visit.

We recently had a holiday break in Bournemouth. The food and service were fantastic. When we go out for a meal, we don't normally have a Chinese meal. However, if this restaurant was more local to us, we would make it a regular place for us. It's definitely worth a visit.

I remembered this place from the last time I was in Bournemouth years ago and thought it was worth a go. I wasn't disappointed, it was even better than I remembered it. The vegetarian menu is just fabulous. If you're vegetarian and you like Chinese food you won't be disappointed. Great service fabulous food, if I lived closer I would eat here every day!

We popped in her last Sunday 1st October for a meal during our weekend away in Bournemouth We had a lovely time here. The restaurant is kitted out to a good stand and even the toilets were exceptional. The food was delicious and served piping hot. A little expensive but well worth it. The service too was fantastic, the staff being very friendly and attentive. We would definitely come back here again for a meal if we find ourselves back in Bournemouth.

Good straight-forward food, but not as good as some others we have visited up and down the country. Friendly and helpful staff. If you are visiting Bournemouth, it is a place to walk to if you plan to eat there before 8-00 p.m., as the Council will charge £5 for street car parking across the road. The meter was cash only, which was fine for us but perhaps not for all of you.....

Spot on restaurant, food always cooked perfectly across all dishes in 7 years haven't had a bad meal. The service has just the right amount of attention, always makes sure you have everything you want with out feeling rushed. Excellently managed to be able to achieve this standard. Hopefully open one up in Wimborne.

Best Asian food we’ve tasted in UK! The rice was perfectly sticky and delicious. The chilli beef was so delicate and crispy! The waiting staff and manager were lovely and made sure we had everything we needed. Fun and relaxing atmosphere made for a perfect dinner xxx

Appalling attitude on the telephone. Whichever male member of staff who hung up the phone on me when I was trying to book a table for this Saturday was rude and unhelpful during the conversation. Having been to this restaurant a number of times we have decided to take our custom elsewhere rather than be treated as worthless customers

We booked an early evening meal here on the off chance as it was within walking distance of our hotel. We were absolutely wowed with the choice and quality of the food here. Scallops were divine, as were the dim sum, and the noodles were just so tasty we couldn't leave anything, despite there being plenty and we were both full! Staff were delightful and friendly and the cost of the meal was very reasonable for the quality and choice of food on offer. Highly recommended.

The food was delicious and plentiful. We had shared starter platter, which was well presented and a great variety of tasty dishes then the set menu, which again was delightful. We left satisfied and full but didn’t feel bloated or sluggish and it felt healthier than most Chinese restaurants. The staff were really attentive and helpful welcoming. The drinks are pricey tho with four diet cokes costing £12. Other than that over price was reasonable. Would definitely revisit 😃

Awful dinner, loved this restaurant in the past, had sweet and sour chicken, prawn crackers, husband had sweet and sour fish. Well chicken was stringy and grey looking, prawn crackers some burnt!other stale, ate it and 5 minutes later threw the lot back up!! Never again, £28 was horrid meal

This restaurant was recommended by someone else, and was glad we went the food was beautiful, staff were great, if there was one thing it was I felt a bit rushed as soon as you put your cutlery down, they were clearing the plates, we were in and out within the hour, for 2 courses.

We were welcomed to the restaurant very warmly. All the staff were so friendly, so helpful and very good at what they did. There was a lot of choice on the menu and we liked the surroundings. We had delicious starters to share, arranged beautifully. They were delicious. We then shared several dishes. The food was hot and tasted so good. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff at the Mandarin. A fantastic experience. It wasn’t our first time and we we will be back soon. Thank you.

This restaurant never disappoints. The food was excellent, matched by the attentive service. We met up with friends and shared the vegetarian feast. So often we go to restaurants and my vegetarian husband gets the short end of the stick, not this evening. We all thoroughly enjoyed the selection of dishes and scoffed the lot! A definite must every time we visit Bournemouth. Child friendly and reasonably priced.

I love the food at the Mandarin! Tonight we ordered a takeaway/ collection and it didn't quite reach the usual high standard as too much oil. Especially the mock duck! We are trying to be healthy so I think we will have to avoid for a while, which is such a shame.

We haven’t been to the Mandarin for a few years and was shocked at how much it had changed. No table cloths, no little stands for your chopsticks, no cloth napkins, cheap cardboard menus . I understand they want to keep their costs down but...

This place needs investigating by trading standards as must be illegal what they are doing and will be notify them Food wasnt cooked and poor quality (McDonalds serves better food) Got charged extra for dishes didnt order and you MUST leave a tip of 10%...
