Nice ambience and hospitality, although food is also so delicious.

I ordered online, when I went to collect my food I discovered they had gone home for the evening early. Yes they refunded me, but that doesn’t feed me…

This was an amazing find, food was superb highly recommended

The food was, it appeared, straight from a packet or some other pre-prepared food supply. The starter was from a packet, the main of lamb was fatty and unedible, and my dinner partner meals were also ready meals. The only good thing was the beer, just.

Amazing food. The team seems a bit short staffed but are very hard working. The food is great, paid on street parking and car park within short walking distance (free parking from 6pm on weekdays and Saturdays, free from 4pm on Sunday)

Exceptionally fresh traditional Turkish fare! Right down to the rice. Had the Lambs chops and cooked to perfection. Even has Efes for drinks!!

Had a great meal at Lalahan, the food was delicious and with generous portions. I had the Lamb Shish and my mum had the seabass which was massive and delicious. The restaurant is a little bit away from the centre but well worth the effort to visit.

We had a good time at Lalahan. The atmosphere was serene and quiet. Our order took a bit longer to be processed, but we got an explanation from the team regarding that. And when the order came, it was well made. The plating was great. We ordered the lamb sautée with a side of rice, kid's chips and chicken, mezee Platter, salad and flatbread.

What a gem of a place, fabulous food, great service, cannot fault it. Thank you!

Lovely Turkish restaurant located around the corner from Salisbury train station. Quite quiet on a Saturday evening, but service was nice. Staff friendly and attentive. Food was lovely- and received a bowl of pitta bread before starters, but would have loved additional bowls of bread with a variety of dips. Meals came in a good timely manner after starters and portion sizes was adequate. Lovely tender pieces of meat, halloumi was delicious. Rather expensive though, chips could not be substituted for rice. Would return but too pricey. Thankyou

Had a wonderful evening in the restaurant as part of a works party. The outside seating area feels as of you are abroad. The service and food were really good. I will definitely return

For people who like traditional Turkish cuisine, this restaurant is a hit! Generous portions, friendly staff, beautiful terrace... highly recommended

Finding authentic Turkish food in the local area has been a bit of a challenge, but Lalahan certainly delivers. The food is fresh, well seasoned, and cooked perfectly. The meats were of good quality, and the flavour is so similar to how my Grandmother used to make it. The service is very friendly and quick. The atmosphere is a little mixed with traditional looking decor and music, but odd coloured fairly lights that look out of place. The area around the bar could do with 'declutering' to make an impact when you walk in and some nice Turkish lamps around, (and in the toilets) would add some light and colour. However, whatever you do, go and eat. It's fantastic.

I usually go there on the weekends, the food is fantastic, cooked from scratch, good quality. The service is nice, staff always smiling and helpful, one of my favourite places in Salisbury, it is worth a try

What a lovely experience, was greeted with a big smile. The service was quick, and helpful, the food was fantastic. We had a few extra starters, as we were hungry. Everything cooked so well, and tasted amazing. One to definitely go to for a great experience.

I was looking forward to have a nice Turkish dinner and I’m really sorry for this.Because I have a small baby and I can’t go to the restaurant yet,I’ve tried to order(nope , not a chance) then I’ve looked on the website for collection (nope , that didn’t happen either) it’s true that on the website you have an time slot (very limited) and staff shortage but in a small town like this I don’t think it’s that crowded to book a dinner collection. Maybe you guys can sort this out soon! Thank you

This place is an absolute gem! The food is AMAZING, I can't get enough of the halloumi kebab. The staff have brilliant customer service and go the extra mile. The restaurant has been decorated well and has a garden, which is great in the summer! This is my favourite restaurant/takeaway in Salisbury.

Absolutely awful food! We have never tasted such stale recycled tasteless Turkish food in our lives! It was not edible and when we showed the manager her response was shockingly rude and abrupt. She denied her food was awful even though she could see a full plate of uneaten food. She became so rude that others got up and left the restaurant. She charged us £100 for disgusting food! Do not go to this restaurant it is not Turkish food and on top of that she had the audacity to argue! NO STARS AT ALL I HAD TO GIVE 1 TO POST THIS! She denied she saw the food on the plate and has accused us that we wanted to eat doner meat from London?! Well London has the best Turkish restaurants unlike hers also we have eaten in many destinations over the world including Turkey, Dubai and New York! I have never met a manager who acted like her perhaps she has hormonal issues. This restaurant is so tacky and serves stale food, the manager is delusional if she thinks this is even Turkish food! And oh I did inform the chef that the food wasn’t nice but he walked away to probably tell her so she kept away. You asked us if everything was ok before we had stated to eat the food!

We had planned to take our daughters to Baroushka, until we saw their 1 star food hygiene rating, so we opted for Lalahan as it had 5 stars. We had booked a table, but we decided to eat outside as it was a warm evening. We all loved the food, no frills or fancy garnish, just top quality authentic food and great service. I don't think I've ever had such tender lamb and perfectly cooked. Will definitely return again with friends and family. *****

First time eating here and it was absolutely beautiful. Fantastic attentive service, gorgeous immersive interior, and perfectly cooked, authentic Turkish food. The meat was cooked to perfection: it just fell apart and was so tender. The flavours were absolutely delicious too. The salad was crispy and fresh, and the houmous and bread was so good I'd go back just for that!! Portion sizing was extremely generous too so you get good bang for your buck. We will definitely be going back and recommending them to everyone!

Warm, friendly service. Delicious meals and a beautiful little garden in the back with outdoor seating. Most mains £15-19 as of early June 2022. Wouldn’t hesitate to come back if I was in the area.

Went here for lunch today (29/5/2022) on a recommendation and was not disappointed! Fantastic service, lovely beer on tap and OMG the food!!! We had the special platter for 4 and it was immense! Lamb chops, chicken wings, chicken shish, lamb shish, lamb kofta, lamb ribs and beautiful vegetable rice and bread. Really tasty and succulent. So good in fact that 2 people from our party are taking their family there next week! Give this place a try!!

FOOD POISONING I visited the restaurant on 22 May (evening) and got a nasty food poisoning which lasted several days and me having to stay in bed with fever. Food didn’t taste bad but I presume it was not fresh. Restaurant appeared big but apart from us there was only one couple. I was slightly alarmed that the bread was covered in oil which could have been a sign that it was reheated and not served fresh.

Good place. Sevice order a bit poor - mains arrived as we were eating starter.

Wonderful food, great service and a huge outdoor seating area (some under cover with heaters, some outside in the sun). Highly recommended. We had the Chef's Special, a grilled meat platter with rice, flatbreads and salad included. It was delicious! The baklava was also gorgeous 😀 Will definitely go back if we are in the area 👍

My partner recently visited this restaurant with a relative. She said food was excellent and could not fault the service. Excellent value for money. Hopefully we can both go in the future.

We had the sharing platter .. plenty of food and it was Delicious.

Our first experience of this restaurant was a row taking place about an accusation of an unpaid bill(the ladies had paid), we were then told to sit wherever we wanted. We ordered drinks with the young guy, a bottle of wine and a jug of water for the table. The wine and water were brought over, but the water was warm, and we had to ask for wine glasses. We then had to ask for ice as the water was warm. We told him that we were ready to order, but were advised that he wasn’t allowed to take food orders🤦🏼‍♀️. We ordered with the young lady, and our starters came out quite quickly.. we had the king prawns and complimentary bread basket.. to be fair, the starter was nice, we enjoyed it. Just as we were finishing off, the young lady advised us that the kitchen had “run out of rice” and “could we have chips instead?”.. in short? No.. we wanted an authentic Turkish meal.. not kebab and chips!! She said that the kitchen had been open since 12, and the chefs were tired.. it was 20.50 on a Saturday night??!?! We said that whilst we appreciated that? It really wasn’t our problem. It would take 10 mins to cook and there were still people ordering. She looked embarrassed and scooted off. The “manageress” came over and said that the rice was pre cooked before service, and it had run out. She eventually conceded that they could cook some more rice and we would have to wait. 5 mins later our meals were put down in front of us.. with rice?? We started to eat and realised that the rice was stone cold. We asked to speak to the manageress again.. we explained that the rice was cold, which was incredible considering it was supposed to be freshly cooked?!! My partner asked where the rice had come from, and the manageress looked embarrassed. We asked her to take away the food as we didn’t want to eat rice that had probably come off other peoples plates🤮. The chef came out to grunt at us and it was rather menacing truth be told.. at this point behind us, someone was being carried out absolutely drunk as a skunk, the couple behind us? The guy clearly had sinus issues and was hocking phlegm up constantly, it was an absolute car crash and we paid for our starters, drinks and got the hell out. At this point it was almost 21.30 on a cold wet Saturday night.. we gave up and went home hungry. I’ll swerve on posh kebabs for a good while thanks. 🙄

We booked last minute today as we was recommended "Lalahan" is the best 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩. We was Not disappointed. As for the food, exceptional 👌 😋 We ate and enjoyed every bite. The meat ws juicy. The starters... big fresh and tasty. Drinks selection superb 👌 👏 Will be going again, loved it sooooo much. Free parking after 6pm in Salisbury, easy to get too and great prices 👍 -Victoria

To the owners response: For the benefit of the readers of this review, I'd like to correct you on your response with facts; The low quality bread you are referring to was complimentary with the first meal you provided me. Therefore since the first meal was poor, the bread went cold and stale. The second portion of complimentary bread was requested for my second meal. If you like I can offer teach you your own menu free of charge? I ordered a Kleftiko (slow cooked leg of lamb) which was hot on the outside and fridge cold on the inside. The waitress offered to "warm it up" I was shocked that they would even suggest to reheat meat which was slow cooked to begin with, refrigerated, microwaved before being served only to then to microwave it again?! They replaced the above with a lamb sheesh which was terrible as well. I am leaving with a stomach ache, god help me! And still being charged £18 despite the complaint!

Dinner was no nonsense, really well cooked food. Delicious and the price was exceptionally reasonable. Service was very good also.

Got a take away as we had to cancel our table, we went and picked up which was no problem as we are local. The food was amazing, the guys were super friendly and couldn't have done more. Can't wait to go back and dine in this time. Keep up the great work.

Just had lunch and it was absolutely delicious. The lamb dish with aubergine was smokey and amazing. We also had the Turkish sausage which was a revelation for me. If you're in Salisbury and looking for some genuine Turkish food in good restaurant with lovely staff then this is the place to go

Place appeared empty, but they have a lovely heated area outside which was lovely to sit in even in October. Friendly staff and good food!

We spent a lovely evening here. The staff were very hospitable and the food was excellent - would particularly recommend the sarma lamb beyti- delicious as were the sorbets. We were able to sit in the garden with overhead heaters and pretty lighting - child and covid friendly. All very amicable, comfortable and quality food, service and value for money.

Great food and staff. We were there super early but it started to pick up and get a little atmosphere when the lights came in as it got darker. Nice seats out back in the garden.

Popular Turkish Restaurant. Good quality healthy food. Nice covered outside seating area with heaters and thick blankets if needed. The warm Pitta bread was gorgeous. The stuffed vine leaves were very tasty. My lamb dish with yoghurt was lovely. Quick and efficient service with reasonable prices. I will be back.

We had a lovely afternoon here for a 30th birthday - Everyone of all ages loved the food and we all felt relaxed and safe - thank you guys - you made it a worry free celebration for a family that haven’t seen each other in far too long

Really nice place with covered outdoor sittings where you are protected from rain and sun while enjoying the pretty garden. Food was excellent, very nicely cooked and with amazing flavours. Nice and kind staff, happy to advice on food.

The food was decent but there were a couple of things that made the experience less enjoyable, like the long wait for service and the fact that not all the items from the menu are available when the place is busy as they are "labour intensive" for the chef. I would go again only if I wouldn't have any other option.

Nice outdoor seating. Food was ok but serving dry kebab just with rice did not make sense. No sauce to go with food unless asked for it. Drinks were warm. Toilets were disgusting.

I'm REALLY fussy with food, but I never have to worry ordering from here because it's always amazing! I can't recommend them enough, especially the stuffed vine leaves! They have so many veggie options too, and the portions are the perfect size. The staff are also really attentive even with takeaway orders, they're just all round amazing we've never been disappointed!

Absolutely fantastic! If you love traditional Turkish food then this is the place for you. So welcoming and lovely traditional touches. The food was amazing and cooked to perfection. Could not fault a thing! The only downside is that we don't live closer to visit again soon!

The service was good. Two lovely ladies working hard to keep customer satisfaction high. The food however was well below par. The starter tasted nice, but it was literally a frozen platter you buy from Iceland. The flatbread in the bread basket was straight out of a packet. The chips on my plate were cheap freezer chips. 6 cheap freezer chips sat in the middle of a well presented Asian dish is a bit of a put off, personally. The cheese on my meal was cheap, plasticy pre-grated stuff. The rice was literally a cheap microwave bag. I mean, how hard is it to cook some fresh rice on the hob guys? It probably works out cheaper for you too... I'm not sure if the cutting corners thing is due to coronavirus cutbacks or whatever but surely the bar needs raising? I couldn't even finish my meal and I eat absolutely anything... The Efes beer was nice and cold. The service from the two ladies in the restaurant was great. The only letdown was the chef unfortunately ☹️

Excellent food and service at very reasonable prices. Everything is authentic, you can taste it! Lovely seating area outside as well and covered over to keep you dry in the rain. Could not recommend the place highly enough, you really should give it a go!!
