Lovely lunch here for 2 coeliacs again today and I'd love to give 5 stars but one downside. We ordered a sandwich each and a side each, my partner had a lovely decent sized portion of sweet potato fries and I ordered the side of Hash Browns, £4.50 each. I don't begrudge paying £4.50 for a decent size portion of fries, but I do begrudge paying £4.50 for a single hash brown!!

Lovely service and the Victoria Sponge was perfect. Great texture and taste, and real cream! We always come to Lakeland when I’m in the UK

Food was okayish, the pulled pork was salted. While it is dog friendly, I wish there was a separate section for customers with dogs.

Another great breakfast here brought our son up from London for a feed before the train home all was enjoyed lovely ingredients and well cooked coffee was also nice thanks guys we will be back again soon

We visited on a Monday morning and we're not disappointed with the breakfast menu. One of the tastiest vegetarian breakfasts I have had. My husband had a full English breakfast and that was good too. Great service and friendly staff.

We visited the café as we had used an app to find somewhere serving vegan cake or snacks in Windermere (there was very little). The carrot cake was delicious, beautiful light and creamy topping sprinkled with walnuts. The coffee was good, strong and tasty. We flapjack was good too, it had a homemade syrupy taste with some pumpkin seeds for crunch. The downside was the price, £26 even after the 10% Lakeland app discount. That was for two coffees, three carrot cake, a flapjack and two cans of coke. Download the app whilst you are instore to get a discount, it just takes a few minutes to come through.

As a solo customer I was shown to one of the two coffee tables in the window of the cafe in Windermere. I was disappointed to notice that the chairs were quite worn and stained, not the standard I had come to expect of Lakeland in the past.

Lovely afternoon tea in the upstairs cafe. Gorgeous cakes as expected, with efficient service from the smiley staff. Felt like going for cake and coffee at a good friend's house... the friend who has an amazing house and is an amazing baker! Then a long browse in the massive store on the ground floor, which is laid out really nicely. Both the cafe and the store feel airy and surprisingly quiet for such a large space. I think the carpet and spacious layout help the acoustics. The lack of usual 'cafe clatter' noise helps make it a very relaxing experience.

Greeted at reception and shown to a table and given a menu. Pleasant attentive staff dealt with our order immediately. Delicious soup.bread and sandwiches Spotlessly clean cafe . Reasonably priced. Good choice on menu

The food is excellent. The service is always good. It’s a very relaxed atmosphere and you aren’t rushed with your meal. Highly recommend.

Had a fantastic lunch today 1/5/24 Sandwiches were full and bread was lovely I had the Beetroot, Walnut & Goats Cheese salad, Amazing loads of beetroot, walnuts and cheese, not just a bowl of leaves like what you can get when you order a salad. We all had drinks and two scones and the bill was just over £40. Great food, service and value for money

Used to look forward to a visit to Lakeland as a treat when coming to the Lakes as great quality. Had breakfast here recently very dissapointing.Two tiny slices of 'artisan toast' with a couple of the proverbial butter pats for £4 but £1 extra for a small pot of jam. Very uninspiring and poor value. Will not be back as discovered better quality and value nearby. You really need to do a lot better.

Excellent place for my family. Everyone was well catered for with vegan and fussy children options. The young waitress who helped us was called Emma and she went out of her way to make sure we were looked after, including our two doggos. The manageress was so warm and funny she had us all in stitiches. Sadly we live 300 miles away because I would make this place my local.

Great little find in Windermere. Wanted a nice simple but healthy lunch after a morning in the lakes. Quite a hard find in Windermere or Bowness, it's either pubs and gastro bars or cakes cafes. Had to wait ten minutes for a table as there were six of us but had a nifty waiting system which allowed us to browse the store until our table was ready. Childrens meals were great and not just the usual nuggets and chips. Came with fruit and coloring sheets too. Not cheap at the top end price wise for a cafe but I feel good value for the quality of food and service you get. Staff were attentive and friendly and created a great atmosphere.

Great cafe in the large Lakeland store in Windemere. Waiter was really friendly, even looked after my pup with a nice refreshing bowl of water. Host was really welcoming and after seeing that I had bought an aircooker chatted about how to use it and gave me some reciepes. Great food but service made it. Will be back in the future.

On a short stay in the lake district and I had to visit the big Lakeland store. Stopped in the café for lunch. Had to wait about fifteen minutes for a table but the inventive pager system allowed us to mooch around the shop until our table was ready. Staff were so friendly and the young waitress went out of her way to adapt a meal for me as I have allergies. She even checked with the chef for reassurance. The meal was delicious and we were even tempted to some bakewell cake which we couldn't finish but a lovely gentleman boxed up for us to eat later. Great Cafe and great shop.

Excellent. The staff are kind and the atmosphere is great. Don't know what all the bad reviews are about. Only slight problem is miscommunication between staff. Was fixed within 30 seconds.

A lovely lunch today with my two young children. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Good choice of brunch/lunch menu. Kids menu was great too, they adjusted a kids meal option for my little girl without any fuss! Which is so nice considering most places these days are unhelpful when it comes to modifying menu choices. Cake was yummy too. Will definitely be back soon.

We had a lovely brunch on a midweek morning. Our order was taken quickly and food arrived piping hot five minutes later. We appreciate that the breakfast menu is served until 1pm. So many cafes in the area stop serving breakfasts or filled rolls at 11am or 11.30 and on many occasions we have had to then order a lunch. Food was good, staff very pleasant. We shall definitely return again. I am impressed that the General Manager, Ben, responds to all reviews. I have left many reviews for other establishments that have never been acknowledged which makes you wonder if they value the effort you have made. But not at Lakeland where customer service is high on their priorities. Lakeland is a real asset to the Windermere area. Well done to all concerned in making the store and the cafe such a success. Thank you.

We are regular customers here as we usually really enjoy the food and service. However today we ordered some toast and a cake plus coffee/tea. The toast arrived promptly but the cake and coffee etc arrived 10 minutes later? Not the usual standard we expect and not sure why the food does not arrive together? Coffee taken back as not extra hot as ordered but was replaced. Staff very pleasant, polite and helpful as usual.

Great cafe, Top quality food and excellent service. We had full English breakfast and Breakfast Sandwich Quality sausages, bacon, mushrooms, tomatoes , poached eggs cooked to perfection and the most delicious hash brown I’ve ever tasted and a slice of sourdough toast . I can honestly say this breakfast was far better than the one we had at the Gilpin a few weeks ago both in taste, presentation and service!

Long long wait for coffee and cake. When eventually the coffee came, it was lukewarm. Asked for a replacement and it wasn’t much better. Appeared to be the dregs? It was 3.30pm and the end of a long, shortstaffed day but nevertheless not good enough.

We were on holiday and were staying in Lancaster, we love to visit the Lakes and always pop into Lakeland for some shopping, we always visit the cafe for food and drink, on this occasion we had breakfasts which were delicious as usual 😋.

I always eat here when I come to shop. I have always enjoyed meals but today I had the cauliflower and truffle soup which was awful. I couldn't have the tomato as I find it too acity. The coffee was good and the orange almond slice delicious. Although they were short staffed it was barely noticable as service was excellent.

They allow dogs in the cafe which it is always a disappointing aspect for me. The disks system is ok provided they have a correct system in place. I gave my disk and they gave my table to another couple that have just arrived! The menu has interesting choices, just wish there were more small choices for when you are not too hungry.

We ate here twice and its great ! First time was lunch I had the rarebit and added garlic mushrooms, my hubby had the bangers and mash, they came out beautifully presented and tasted great , with a soft drink and tea was around £31 service and surroundings great! The 2nd time we went back the lady recognised us ,this time we had our dog and we went for breakfast , again very good service, however I do think the breakfasts are very over priced ..perfect poached eggs, well cooked but extra for beans and black pudding making the breakfast just over £15 each.. with hot drinks after our discount £33 . Quite steep. The toast was toasted sourdough ,I couldn't eat it even buttered and softened with beans it was rock hard ..like it had been reheated , think proper bread would be my preference next time! Love the extra hot water with tea, this makes such a difference x

I have shopped at Lakeland since the start but don’t live near a store. So when I am anywhere near, I live to go to Windermere and combine shopping with lunch. The staff here are always lovely, helpful and friendly. We were served by Sharon and Emma who were both so good. Food choice is always tasty and good value, with big portions. Oh and the Tunisian almond cake is unbelievable (gluten free too!)

We had some great tea, coffee and cake (gluten free brownie was fab), definitely returning for a full lunch at some point soon.
