Overpriced, Tasted awful . Sub standard food . Made too quickly. Couldn’t eat it , £9.50 for a panini 😮 would not go there again.

Will never go back - strip away the cosmetic decor and we were left with poor service, long queues and staff not knowing what they are doing. Over priced and poor quality food. We obviously came on a bad day. We are quite prepared to pay for quality...this was not. Will support Rumwell and Wellington Garden Centre if we're in the area

Arrived for brunch...told over 30 minute wait for food..... stayed until midday when lunch menu would be available...told up to 1 hour wait for lunch orders to be taken as they were still catching up from breakfast!!! Shambolic. Over priced. Very disappointed. Nice garden shop but cafe only 1/2 full and many staff walking about not sure of what they were doing. won't be back.

We popped here for lunch as we were in the area. There is lots to look at from plants to clothes, home bits like bedding cushions etc. We had lunch in the cafe which was ok. The coronation chicken baguette only had two pieces of chicken so only filled a quarter of the baguette with the rest being the sauce. It was tasty though but standard. Also was no WiFi so when travelling as a visitor from aboard would have been handy to access. It was nice to look around the shops but I would probably eat at the other garden centre round the corner.

Found the staff here to be mostly non communicative apart from the one who appeared to be in charge. Her manner was extremely offhand and almost challenging. We won't be returning.

I organise a Christmas get together each year for colleagues both working and retired. This year I decided to try it at The Princess Royal. What a good choice, all we want is a venue that serves good beer , you don't have to wait ages at the bar and will provide us with Sausage and Chips for us 35 guys. Kris & Claire at The Princess Royal couldn't have been more accommodating or helpful. We had a wonderful evening great atmosphere, Good Bear and Nice simple food just perfect. We will be back next year for sure. Paul Woolvin (BT Guys)

It was a Christmas party for a group of friends. We took the trip on a bus to Taunton's Perkin Warbeck [ Royal pretender if I recall ! ] Well it was FAB. We loved it the prices the company and everyone was polite and kind. So good we are planning a return visit.

A fantastic night , we were made to feel so welcome and stayed a lot later than we planned. If you are walking to this pub from the Travelodge nearby over the fields don't get too drunk (well in December anyway) see attached photos - we got lost and very muddy but what a great night - thank you to all the staff and customers for a great night See attached photo for our wonky walk back (our own fault) 😄

My friend and I are regular visitors and just have to say don’t HAVE THE SOUP. We have tried on several occasions as we enjoy a soup after our walks and although the accompanying Bread and butter is usually fresh and tasty the soups are always very watery and tasteless even after trying to improve by adding a couple of salt and pepper sachets!! Today after yet again not being able to eat it we decided to make a a very polite comment to the waitress how did apologise and offer us a cup of tea or coffee but we did politely decline as we had eaten the bread and butter being hungry (although not the soups!!). We weren’t offered a refund which we would have declined anyway but just said we felt it ought to be brought to the chefs attention as the soups are always the same and we hadn’t eaten quite a few recently as always watery and tasteless but as it was supposed to be vegetable??? A different one from before gave them the benefit of doubt!!! So wish we hadn’t!!! Won’t be going there again for our soup!!! Will probably go for a coffee again as most of the staff are lovely and friendly.
