The food is really good and at the medium to top price range . I will keep this simple. Servers keep on eye on customers. Don’t ignore them. Please, please, please provide decent napkins not tiny bits of paper. And make sure they are available for every course . I would wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant. We are revisiting.

The pizza dough is excellent: spectacular result. I will certainly return to taste the first and second courses from the rich menu. Pleasant environment and the welcome makes you feel at home.

We had been meaning to try this restaurant after hearing good reviews from friends and family, so my wife and I booked a table to celebrate our anniversary. We weren't disappointed! The food was excellent and the waiting staff were friendly and attentive. Would highly recommend!

We have lived in the area for years and never been, so this was our first time and we are massively regretting not discovering it sooner! The food was absolutely incredible. I had the prawns to start and my partner and I used up our whole bread platter sopping up the sauce. The pizza was delicious too and my partner lapped up his bowl of pasta. Everything was super tasty and fresh. I didn't catch the waiter's name but he was great also. Highly recommend, looking forward to going back.

A wonderful birthday celebration with my family. I was visiting from Northampton to spend my birthday with them Some of the best Italian food myself and partner have ever had. He says his pizza was the best he has ever had and I will say the same out the antipasta platter. Every thing was delicious. My mum who can be a bit fussy and likes traditional British food was very happy because they served liver. It came with pancetta a posh liver and bacon. We chose it because it is close to my mum's home, Now I have discovered this gem I will be back when I go back to my childhood home. The staff were lovely and attentive

I cannot rave about this place enough!! Went in on a whim and we must have got the last unbooked table as within 20 minutes the place was packed and buzzing with atmosphere! The lady and gentleman who greet and serve are so warm and welcoming it makes you feel like your an everyday regular. I love the open stone pizza oven and fresh produce surrounding, and you can taste it, this is true fresh made food and IT IS DELICIOUS!!! I will be returning, and very soon!!

Very accommodating staff who allowed us in despite turning the restaurant over between lunch and dinner. The food was sensational, and the atmosphere was cosy and charming. It had the feel of a family run establishment; we had a very nice time and shall be returning.

A lovely family run Italian restaurant. Pizzas and pasta are delicious. We are yet to try the meat but will be back to try that too. There is a kids meal which has pizza, pasta or chicken on. The staff are very friendly. Overall a lovely place to have a meal.

Just had a lovely evening with friends in this very friendly local Italian - great choices on the menu (lots of things I would like to try), super attentive and friendly staff, and we all had delicious meals. The pizzas were excellent - lots of toppings and tasty dough. Nice wine too. I will be coming back soon!

Lovely restaurant with a lovely owner, The problem is the service or lack of it. I’ve been using this restaurant for a few years now and would normally rave about it. The last 3 visits have unfortunately let it down. They employ young in experienced staff who clearly have zero training and can’t take a simple order. I’m afraid to say I’ll be eating elsewhere from now on !!!

Had a lovely birthday meal here after hearing great things from locals about this restaurant. I have been meaning to visit here for quite some time but am glad to say the restaurant lived up to it’s reputation. The menu had a great selection and offered some different options from the usual Italian menu choices, but still appears to do the classics very well. I can definitely recommend the Saltimbocca (Veal wrapped in Prosciutto and Sage) everyone at the table was equally as impressed with their choices all the plates looked delicious. Pizzas in particular ! The service was great, very polite and friendly and the staff were genuinely interested of what we though of our meals. I would recommend booking as it does seem to be busy of an evening despite being quiet when we turned up initially - unsurprising as it is a popular go to for many. I am glad I finally got around to visiting here and would certainly recommend to Italian foodie fans.

This is such a lovely restaurant. The food is great and servers are lovely. They have even done a great job of decorating. BUT why do they insist on having bright lights shining so you feel like you’re in a canteen? This restaurant is on our doorstep and we would go all the time but the atmosphere is diluted by these canteen style lights. They still seam to get busy so it obviously doesn’t bother everyone but I wish they would change it so we could go there more often

Freshly made, piping hot and very well prepared. Lovely, polite staff! My husband had the Frutti Del Mar and I had the veal. Both very delicious!

A lovely three generations 'girls night out', perfect friendly service with just enough attention but not over bearing, great food, perfectly cooked and at a really good price. We had the calamari, gamberoni (sauce to die for) couple of pizzas which were really tasty and seafood linguine, thoroughly enjoyable all round and environment was warm and just right to be able to have a good old catch up. Highly recommend and will definitely visit again

You would have to pay me to eat here again. Hair in food but argued it was a fibre and still wanted payment. Oh that makes it ok then. Lasagne very watery and sloppy. Manager taking orders for everything and staff with trainee in huge letters across their back ( how degrading for them) only allowed to bring out food or drink. No wonder they go through so many staff. In at 7.30 mains after 9pm

My favourite stater calmares so yummy and filing. The main meal was perfectly cooked and to top it my favourite apple crumble with custard. I'm old fashioned, I love apple crumble since I was a kid and as a pudding it always my first choice.

I brought some old friends here for supper and we had a lovely meal. The food was delicious as ever and Sandra looked after us beautifully. On the strength of this visit we plan to come back with more friends for a birthday celebration next month.

The restaurant is very clean and nicely decorated. We were welcomed by a very friendly lady (not sure if she is the Owner or Manager) but she made us feel very much at home. Good selection on the menu and they offer Gluten Free pizza and pasta. I had the GF Spaghetti Carbonara and I can honestly say it was the most delicious GF pasta I have ever eaten. We were not rushed at all - something I enjoy as a diner. Desserts were yummy. I would highly recommend visiting and I will definitely be back. Thank you so much L'affamato for a lovely evening!!

Yet another lovely evening here with excellent food and service. Their homemade Tiramisu is second to none, absolutely excellent, never had better !

I’ve been to L’affamato with my wife many times. It is our preferred restaurant when we come to the UK to visit our daughter. We love the “spaghetti a carbonara” and the “seafood risotto”. Both are unforgettable. We will return always.

We’ve been coming here for years and loved it. Recently their service and experience is abysmal, ordered from them via Deliveroo which arrived beyond wrong and was then made to like it was our fault when we drove the incorrect order back to the restaurant - avoid the staff simply do not care, the French lady in charge isn’t a patch on the older staff, she’s rude and condescending. We will never be coming back

Used to love this place and was my favourite local but has gone significantly down hill. Terrible staff and service-rude, unfriendly and incompetent. The female manager is absolutely vile and should not be in a customer service role.

Thoroughly recommend this little gem tucked away on Halfway, away from the centre of Walton.

Fantastic fresh Italian food in a lovely relaxed setting - we’ve been here twice recently with our family and friends and both times everyone has commented how wonderful their food is ! So fresh and tasteful ! Pizza and pasta really lovely ! Chocolate desssert incredible ! Our friend who had gluten free pasta thoroughly enjoyed here too ! Nice ambience in the restaurant and all the staff are lovely - We look forward to going again !

Our first visit but it won't be our last. What a great find, delicious food, really nice wine and superbly friendly and efficient staff.

This is what an Italian restaurant should be, noisy, bustling, and very good food. Service was a bit slow, serving staff seemed to concentrate on the regulars, it was almost empty when we arrived, took ages to order a drink.

Had a fantastic meal here last weekend - really tasty pasta and friendly, welcoming atmosphere. I had the pesto chicken pasta and look forward to trying something new next time.

Very poor service and very expensive for what we had i wont go back again we were there for 4 hours for a two course meal and charged service as well very disappointing.

We visited last night ( 2nd time round for me) we got there at 7.00 & sat us at a table right at the back by the pizza oven, it was boiling hot & air conditioning didn’t seem to be on because the big windows were open, we waited 45 minutes before we could order drinks, the food itself we didn’t get to order till a half hour later, the food came unexpectedly quickly after ordering, the table was half cleared & we were just left, I cleared the rest of the plates & piled them to one side as I got fed up with them there, we then managed to order dessert & coffee, dessert came quickly after we ordered, coffee took. forever, we wanted to leave without it. We didn’t finish till 11.00 that’s one course, dessert & coffee, 4 hours, they’re very understaffed, lady was really nice but service was appalling, I think someone is needed just behind the bar & she could just take the orders, it’s such a shame, lovely food, they were extremely busy but obviously cannot cope with that amount of people, the last time I visited was during the week, not so busy so all was good, my husband would not go there again.

Great fish & Chips. would have been 5 Star but for the mushy peas a bit vinegary for me.

I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough. The food was exceptional, from starters to pudding, and the service was exemplary. Warm and friendly with a relaxing vibe. Please go and eat here.

Incredible independent Italian. Visited a couple of times this month and the food is fantastic. Amazing place newly done up. The menu has so much choice from pizzas, pastas, meats and salad dishes - they offer delivery too. Good price and the garlic bread was delicious. I'll certainly be back! Thank you

Only 1 star we booked a table walked in was sat there for over 10mins , finally get asked of we want any drinks , then we are waiting another 10mins no drinks still then we get told they have 2 new staff who have just started tonight, then my Mrs notice the woman behind the bar was polishing glasses and still no drinks , the owner came over to us apologised to us and said she is the only one who can serve us drinks and she still have 2 table to srve before us , so we left other wise it would of been a long night , in future train your staff before having start on a busy night

We booked a table for 8pm on Friday night. Unfortunately when we got there we had to show ourselves to a table and then had to sit and wait at least 10 mins before being told that the staff were all training so service was slow, we asked for some drinks at that point and sat for another 15 mins watching a lady behind the bar slowly polish glasses and hold them up to the lights, then repeat the process. Eventually the lady came over to explain the new staff can't serve drinks and she had 2 tables of drinks to serve before us. At this point we decided to just leave as it was already gone 8:30pm. We understood that staff need to train but felt that they should of refused our booking, or maybe not let the restaurant become so busy on a day they knew they didn't have staff. As understanding as we can be, this did ruin our evening so unfortunately we have to be honest in our review. Hopefully their staff will be trained up soon as its a shame to have to leave a bad review for a local restaurant.

Came here for the first time a few weeks ago for my father in law’s 70th birthday. It was a lovely meal and everyone enjoyed their dish. Friendly attentive staff which made the whole experience better

I understand that at time restaurants can be busy, that's the time to chat to your clients and manage their expectations so they know things are a bit slow. Not just ignore tables and focus on the take away pick ups. Pity, because I had hopes of an enjoyable family meal.

A small family run restaurant. We visited on a Monday evening so the restaurant was very quiet but they were still quite busy with takeaways. The tables were well spaced and sanitiser was available as you entered. Staff wore masks and it felt very Covid secure. There was a varied wine list of mainly red and white wines although there were two or three Rosé available and of course some fizz. All were reasonably priced ranging from £16 a bottle. We shared starters of garlic bread and calamari which were well presented with rocket and tomatoes - a good start. For mains I opted for spaghetti in a creamy saffron sauce with salmon and baby prawns whilst my husband had spaghetti with crab and our friend the homemade lasagne. All were piping hot, well presented and delicious. Portions were quite large so we didn't look at the dessert menu! The owner was very friendly and welcoming, spending time with us to get our feed back. We'll certainly be going back again.
