Wednesday 31st January 2024, after strolling round Lacock Abbey and its grounds the wind had started to get very cold, so my husband and I were now in need of a hot drink and somewhere warm to sit. We went to ‘The Stables’ Tea Room, where we found a nice table by a radiator and we indulged in large cups of hot chocolate and my husban had an apricot flapjack and I had a slice of Millionaires shortbread. We spent a nice hour here getting warm and then we strolled back to the car park to get our car.

We found this the ideal spot for a cup of tea after our tour of the Abbey and the Museum. It's very basic but just the job.

古い建物の中にある可愛らしいカフェです。利用しませんでしたが、昔ながらの雰囲気があるお店でした。今度は、お茶をいただきた いと思います!

Lovely cafe in beautiful setting and very tastefully decorated. Sizeable with plenty of space. Really friendly service. Great coffee (mocha) and really tasty food - a courgette and red pepper fritter and a sausage and mash. Really nice mix of food from sandwiches to light bites to meals. Childrens menu also and plenty of highchairs.

This is located in the old stables and you choose a table and then order. The system worked very well and we received food and drinks very quickly. Had tea/coffee before looking round the Abbey and then a cream tea afterwards.Great staff

I took a cream tea and sandwhich. The tea arrived just as I was sitting down! Both the scone and the sandwhich tasted very good.

Lovely little tea room in the courtyard of the abbey that offers a good range of teas, coffees, snacks & cake. Prices were reasonable and service was excellent.

Set next to the abbey and within the courtyard this is a lovely old tea room, serving a limited number of meals, but no shortage of variety when it comes to cakes and sandwiches, etc., It does of course get busy, but on our latest visit we found a table just inside the tea rooms. Food is ordered at the counter and delivered to the table very quickly. Well worth a stop off after visiting the abbey.

A cafe in part of the old Lacock stable buildings, being part of Lacock Abbey. A range of coffee and cakes; perhaps a bit on the expensive side but the funds presumably go to support the (no doubt very expensive) upkeep of the Abbey so happy to support. Owned by the National Trust. It was a warm sunny day so we were outside; but unfortunately bothered by a lot of wasps which seemed to be attracted to some food residue marks on the wooden table. It would be good if the tables were given a really good scrub! Space inside is limited and was full on this Saturday morning. Service was friendly and helpful from mainly young ladies. Toilets opposite were of good modern standard and clean. I couldn't find the Food Standards Agency Hygiene Rating on the FSA website. A good place to stop after a tour of the Abbey.

National trust tea rooms always do good cake wherever you go, this one definately does. The staff were friendly and polite, it was early on a wet day so we had no problems finding a seat as it's not that big, but you work with what you've got and it was nice.

We were in the midst of our wandering around Lacock, the Abbey etc and had a welcome cup of tea in the Courtyard Tea Room. Staff very pleasant and attentive. Then we girded our loins for the onward trek around the other attractions of Lacock (of which there are many).

We arrived in time for lunch and ordered sandwiches and a cream tea. The children’s sandwich was great value. My request for a ham sandwich with no mayo or mustard, plus no dressing on the salad, was not a problem. The sandwiches were delicious and accompanied by a salad garnish and some vegetable crisps. The brown bread was fresh and tasty. The scones were equally delicious and we really enjoyed the tea. There are the usual array of delicious cakes served in the National Trust tea rooms, and its difficult to decide which one to have, they all look so good. We found the staff to be really polite and helpful. The setting is idyllic and the tea room was delightful. We can’t wait to visit again!

Either understaffed or disorganised. Basically a bunch of kids, some friendly & helpful, some not... With no adult in sight. Consequence is you wait for ages at a table that remains uncleared. Expensive. Experienced the same thing twice recently. Once on a quiet day and once on a busy one.

Lovely tea room with ok service. It strikes me that the staff struggle a little when it is busy but the food is great. Could do with an extension for more seating inside but great food and mammoth cake makes an amazing end to a great day.

I enjoyed a well made cappuccino in the courtyard tearoom, which is a welcome addition to the Abbey grounds. The quiet atmosphere was enhanced by the welcome absence of piped music! Didn't try any food but would have liked something to accompany the coffee. There were cakes but they all looked way to rich to go with a morning coffee. I know the NT shop sells delicious biscuits why not open up a few packets and sell them along side the teas and coffees? I bet they'd go down a storm. I always feel it's a missed opportunity when cafes don't offer biscuits or small pastries to sell alongside drinks.

After walking through the Lacock Abbey, we needed a break so stopped at this tea room in the Abbey courtyard. This tea room is run by the National Trust. You find a table and then go to the register/counter to order and pay for what you want. We had cream tea, which was very good. It is a small tea room, but nice seating and we were able to visit and meet other travelers. This was a nice find and we enjoyed the stop.

Having ate here before and had a good time I thought it would be good for a birthday meal for 4 on a Monday lunch time how disappointing it was. 2 Steak & Stiton pies ordered although very tasty lacked Stiton and was meant to be served with veg we had to ask for the veg which when it arrived after several minutes the excuse was we only have 2 microwaves not the excuse I wanted, the other 2 meals were fine, unfortunately we will not go back.

We visited on a Sunday for breakfast. Arriving a couple of minutes after 10am (opening time), we queued for a table and then again to order food. There were plenty of tables but appreciated it was busy - not all tables were full. We waited for 50 minutes for our food to arrive, although coffee arrived much earlier. This was prompted by us asking where our food was/checking the order had been made, to which we were told ‘we’d just have to wait because it was busy’. The food arrived 5 minutes later. The food was tasty and we’ve no complaints about the quality or price. But, something about the system here just doesn’t make sense, queuing at every point and then waiting another 50 minutes for scrambled eggs on toast and a bacon sandwich, doesn’t make sense. We arrived at 10 and didn’t leave until 12:15…. People had started arriving for lunch! Sadly, we’d not return. There are just other places nearby that are doing it better.

We booked a table for the opening party, the pub opened earlier in the week with new staff and owners.

The location of this establishment is strange because the shop/restaurant sits within what is essentially a business park in the middle of nowhere but it is not hard to find. The setting was ideal for a summer lunch with lots of variously covered areas to shelter from the sun or rain if it happens. Then you realise that all these covered areas are, in fact, the restaurant! I saw no evidence of indoor seating. The main seating area is fundamentally a plastic marquee attached to a shop unit and all the seats are picnic benches. They have an interesting menu, which changes regularly I understand, and it is obvious that this establishment is not trying be a full all ‘singing and dancing’ restaurant and they do make that clear. It uses locally sourced quality produce for Deli style light meals, specifically lunches, and also snacks. The people running it are personable, welcoming and efficient. We found them very helpful and attentive and the food was delicious. Overall, the food menu is a little overpriced I feel but not excessive. That said, a few dishes do seem “over the top’ for what they are. It is the shop where the prices are eyewatering expensive and I think they have gone too far. I can here them now saying that they are supporting local suppliers and that this comes at a cost but times are hard and I do truly believe they, or their suppliers, need to face reality as the pricing is far too high. We need to support businesses like this but they have to respond too! Did I enjoy my meal? Yes, fantastic, Would I go again? Yes, definitely! Would I encourage you to go? Yes definitely! I just warn you that your visit will be enjoyable but not cheap so be prepared.

Great evening! It did not disappoint! The black rock fillet steaks were amazing. The young waitresses were both lovely, always smiling & nothing was too much trouble for them. The pub has a lovely atmosphere and we all enjoyed the evening. We would highly recommend a visit here!
