What a big disappointment. My wife and myself went for dinner as well as my birthday on Valentines night. I ordered my meal which eventually came out but looked like a child’s portion, one strip of belly pork, one carrot, one croquet of potato and a bit of cabbage, come on for what £22 what a rip off. You are trying to do fine dinning well at least give the customer something to eat for the price. This was in the Oak room, the staff were buzzing around and making you feel uncomfortable, banging the back of your chair as they walked behind you, you felt like they didn’t want you there long. It is not a place where you can go for a meal and then relax afterwards. It’s a glorified fast food place. Would i recommend this place………not a chance unless you want to pay extortionate price for food and drink and come away still hungry

WOW.... Horrendous is been to kind, booked for the Xmas Festive night at £40 per head... Now there may well be some who attended who enjoyed the night but they will be hard to find. Table of 24 and the table would have been uncomfortable with 20, so 24 was disgraceful. You had to take it in turns eating absolutely diabolical. Only 2 bottles of water on the table, again between 24 customers!!! There were 2 courses served up, for mains I ordered StripLoin of Beef, it wasnt the best. Alongside the one small strip of beef were 2 potatoes that someone had thought about boiling or roasting but in the end did neither and limited veg. Food was abysmal. The meal was followed by what I could only describe as council karaoke..... Why when you own or run such a luxurious resort would you want to embarrass yourself by serving up such a pathetic offering. I can only presume this is not the normal for Laceby Manor and due to pure greed they have used the festive time of year to rip people off. As always all down to that one key question..... Would I recommend??? Jesus Christ... NO

So as a work occasion out we planned and booke “dirty dancing “ at laceby manor. At first all looked beautiful, the tables, the room, the entrance! Beautiful. The food arrived 30minutes late, the music was way too loud whilst talking and waiting patiently for our food. Then when the staff at the bar were approached to ask what was going on she shrugged her shoulders and walked away. Over priced for the meal and entertainment. Embarrassing for the resort I must say. A total let down and we don’t be booking again.

From the moment we walked into the brasserie at Laceby Manor golf club, I knew it was special. Amber - biggest smile- greeted us and escorted us to the table. I asked if we could have any bread, it was not on the menu, but Amber and the chef presented us with stacks of warm bread and butter. Amber was perfect, nothing was too trouble and then came Melissa who was nothing less than perfect. Both were chatty, professional and made us feel special. The food was perfect, 10 out of 10. Mouth-watering and by far the best food I have ever had on any resort. Back to Melissa and Amber. They are fabulous ambassadors to Laceby Manor gold club resort and the reason why the restaurant is filled with smiling faces. We could not have asked for more and I cannot express just what an amazing time we had. I hope the people at the top of the tree see this and shake it, because with Melissa and Amber and fabulous food, you are guaranteed an amazing time. Thank you so much for a wonderful evening xx Peter, Becky, Bon and Jenny.

Decided to try the laceby manor restaurant and bar with our friends last night and were pleasantly surprised and impressed with this establishment. We had booked a table to eat but decided to have a couple of drinks outside on the terrace first as it was a lovely evening and the views of the golf course were pleasing on the eye. Aimee, who looked after us very well while we were there, brought out some menus to view while we had our drinks. The choice of meals on offer made it difficult to choose as all the fare sounded delicious but Aimee was on hand to make suggestions which helped us with our selections. Without going into detail, all the food that was presented to us was delicious and thoroughly enjoyed by us all. One of the best meals we had had in a long time and service to match. We shall all be returning soon.

Attended a family wedding here recently. The restaurant, the location and the facilities were top notch, I think you would have to work hard to improve on what they have achieved here. However, the bar staff in the first floor function suite leave much to be desired ! Their attitude and reaction to the wedding guests during the wedding reception and evening event should definatly be improved ! It began with the sullen faces of the waiting staff during the reception , most should learn how to smile - only one lady waitress ( blonde hair ) new starter ) was polite and smiled - give her a job in staff training ) We asked for a bread roll during lunch, to be told, only for guests who have ordered soup ! Eventually after asking again they brought two over for the brides father... The evening event was a challenge when we struggled to understand why the part bottles of wine had disappeared from the table, when most of the guests were drinking spirits and beer etc. The penny , or should I say the C £17,000 dropped when the waitresses were removing full glasses of drinks from the table without checking! When challenged , the nonchalant response was to place the drinks back on the table and march off like petulant teenager! Our dismay was amplified the following day during a conversation with the restaurant manager told us , that's what we do, If you need to keep your opened bottles of wine on the table you need to let us know , otherwise they will be removed! oh, so the wine is cleared along with the newly poured drinks too then? I don't think we, or anyone else we know have ever been to a restaurant and even thought to tell the waiting staff not to take the half bottles of wine away before they have been emptied ? This " usual practice" was not discussed when we booked ! A cynic could suspect they re sell the newly recovered wine by the glass. This said, the manager did compensate with two bottles of the brides choice , so thanks for recognising the issue. But please consider NOT removing part bottles etc without checking in the first place.

We had Sunday lunch which was very good. Beef was a great cut and served pink with a selection of vegetables , roast potatoes and Yorkshire pudding. I did feel I would have liked more vegetables- one large slice of carrot, 2 slices of parsnip and 2 small slices of leek. Apple Charlotte dessert was wonderful. Delightful staff. Lovely decor. Top end pricing.

Just had to post a comment about the first-class food served at Laceby manor this weekend. My starter of wood pigeon, it was so tasty and succulent. Main course was steak, a bit boring you might say but this was thick, juicy and chips to die for, sauce amazing! Plenty of desirable mains but Steak is my indulgence. To finish Apple tarte tatin with fresh apples and honey ice cream, out if this world! The service was very efficient and plenty of drinks to choose from. Nothing was too much trouble for Courtney and the staff. Then we retired to our beautiful on-site lodge and relaxed in the Hot tub. Wonderful, amazing break. Many thanks

Excellent lunch yesterday for 4 of us. Had pals visiting from Manchester and enjoyed some great food and service. Starters we had included belly pork and curried prawns and the mains we had was the salmon, the gammon and I had the pumpkin risotto which was lovely. Great lodges hired through hoseasons as well and so nice to be able to just wander to and from the lodge in a few minutes for such high quality food.

Place more designed for golfers to have a drink on the 19th hole because the lounge was big and as I say the restaurant a small conservatory off it

Was staying in one of the lodges, and one of the reasons for choosing the site was the bar onsite. Used the Round Bar a few times during our stay, and the staff couldn’t have been better. Very friendly and attentive. Nice seating indoors and plenty outdoor seating which we used due to the lovely weather. Also had a meal twice in the restaurant. Food was excellent, only criticism was for the mushroom terrine starter, which the staff reported back to the chef and removed from the bill, despite not asking for any reduction. Food was served quickly by the same staff running the bar. Both the female bar staff on duty during our meals deserve special thanks, but unfortunately I didn’t get names.

My husband and I got married here last Sunday (13/09) and honestly, we couldn't have asked for a better day! Joanne was an absolute rock throughout the entire process, making us feel welcome and heard throughout all the planning and then through the pandemic and rescheduling our day (originally 11/04), making sure that everything was safe and that we were well looked after. She was so supportive, helpful, positive, reassuring, and friendly and made everything go so smoothly throughout the run up to and on the day of the wedding. Both her and Mel (and all of the staff!) were brilliant and we cannot thank them enough! The wedding itself went smoothly, the food was delicious and the staff were friendly and on hand for anything we needed. The venue is spacious, and is separate from the golf club and downstairs restaurant, meaning you have a large space just for you and your party. There's a lovely dancing area, bar, and outdoor balcony meaning there's plenty of space for everyone. The grounds and golf course are beautiful as well, and make for some wonderful photographs!Jo is making wonderful progress with improving the venue as well, it has changed so much since we booked way back in 2018 and she's done a fantastic job so far. With friends, we went out of town for a change to sample Laceby Manor Golf Restaurant. The ‘pensioners’ menu was selected and with four main courses on offer, a different one was chosen. The food was well-prepared but the quantities differed quite noticeably. The risotto was very small while the roast chicken option was much bigger. The choice of beer was poor for those of us with a love of decent ales while the absence of both bottled beers and ice was disappointing.

We attended a friends wedding towards the end of August, the wedding was was in a fantastic location. The reason for 4 stars is because where the ceremony was located there were other people drinking, shouting and laughing during the ceremony. Well what can I say, when I first picked this beautiful location for our big day I set up a meeting with Jackie who quite honestly didn’t give a crap whether I got married there or not. She was rude and wasn’t willing to bend for anything I wanted, even made me change the day we got married to suit her more but we still agreed because it was the location we really wanted. Throughout the run up I had no chase ups through text, phone call or email about any final details. She wrote all my details on scrap bits of paper and had no clue what we actually wanted. I was then informed she had left her position of wedding organiser and had to go through every detail again with Jo and Mel and I can honestly say NOTHING WAS TOO MUCH TROUBLE! I have never felt more stressed having to go through it all again but they could not of honestly done anymore if they tried! Had booked in advance but no table had been set aside for our lunch. Service throughout was pleasant but not very attentive. We were told that they were very busy even though the restaurant only had 4 tables occupied. However there was a wedding and a golf tournament taking place so maybe other staff were tied up with that. Why the groundsman decided to cut the already short grass alongside the patio where everyone was standing/sitting I can’t imagine. When we moved from the orangery as it was very hot out onto the patio to enjoy our coffee we couldn’t chat above the noise of the mower. Th food was ok - nice fish but greasy chips. The location is really very nice and especially on a summers day.

We live close to Laceby Golf Club, have eaten there before and have always had very good experiences. So after we checked the website to confirm food served in Round house bar until 9pm and after booking baby sitter we biked up (at 6pm) as it was a perfect eveining to enjoy all Laceby golf club has to offer. We were greeted by a sign that stated food served and ordered drinks at the bar. We were then informed that due to having a wedding (which they often do) they wouldnt be serving food!

Me and my husband chose Laceby Manor as the perfection venue for a wedding reception and I’m so pleased to say that we’re not disappointed with our choice. Jackie and all of the staff were absolutely lovely, we were made to feel at ease throughout the whole process and nothing was ever too much to ask. We really felt like everyone genuinely cared about making our big day as special to us as it could have been. Would highly recommend this venue to anyone looking to get married, perfect setting for beautiful photos. Just a wonderful time had by all. Thank you

Myself and 5 others visitors visited here on may 16th 2018.firstly may I say the food one we got it was lovely.however we arrived at 1-0 clock.our order was taken at 1- 40.we were shown through to table at 2-30. The food started to arrive at approx 3wewereall waiting for each others food to come so we could start. This isn’t acceptable. This is in no way a reflection on the staff they were doing the best they could .badically your restaurant was understaffed to cope with the volume of business . When our coffee came one of the saucers had what looked like a dead fly on it.all in all not a very good advert for what is a lovely venue.

Visited here for lunch with my husband and another couple. The greeting when we arrived to eat in the orangery was luke warm. However the table we were shown to was good with lovely views over the gardens. We ordered drinks which were slow to arrive. About 20mins later we managed to get someone to take our food order. They were not busy with only another 4 people dining. They also serviced people that came in after us with their food before us, did they forget our order? The food was quite good but not worth the wait, as our main courses took over 1 hour to arrive! Don't go if you are hungry or in a hurry!

My wife and I chose Laceby Manor for our wedding reception after we had heard lots of great reviews. From the moment we booked it, everything just went perfectly. Jackie did a superb job in organising our day for us, she and her team did a great job during the day and worked really hard. We stayed at the lodges on site and Jackie and Megan sent breakfast across to the bridal party as they were getting ready which was a nice touch!

Whilst staying in one of the Lodges at Laceby Manor Golf Club we decided to try the on site restaurant on the Friday and Saturday evening. On the first night the restaurant was hoasting a wedding so all meals were served downstairs in the Orangery. on arrival we were shown to our table which was pre booked. When we sat down we noticed the table was a little wobbly and notified the wairtess who then procceded to try and wedge something under the table to stop it moving. We settled on the fact it moved a little and settled down to an enjoyable meal with a glass of wine. However my wife choose lasagne which when it arrived was way to hot and had obviously been in the mircowave for to long which was a little dissapointing. I had rump steak on a salad bed which was very enjoyable. Once we had finished our meal we noted that there were still a lot of empty tables and felt we could have been re-seated instead of putting up with a wonky table. In hinddsight we should have asked to be moved.

Having never visited before we were unsure what it would be like. We'd booked a 90th Birthday meal for 16 and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. They decorated everywhere beautifully and nothing was too much trouble. The food was delicious and cooked to perfection. The restaurant is down a long lane meaning peace and quiet is the order of the day. We will definitely be returning,

Situated on the outskirts of Grimsby, a nice restaurant well back from the main road, professional reception, food order taken in a comfortable bar then called to table when meal nearly ready. Very pleasant surroundings, a nice restaurant, good professional service, then the food came to the table..... all meals very well presented, steaks very good as well as the Diana and pepper corn sauces, the fish and chips very nice, fish had a great batter, rightly priced for the good quality food and service. Dessert very nice. From the presentation and quality of the food the Chef must be a professional. Will definately go back to this restaurant again.

On check in we were told to book a reservation because it gets busy.. We stayed Monday to Thursday. Went Monday night, turns out they're closed Mondays, ok fair enough. Went the next day to find doors locked and no one about. Ok. Went Wednesday to find out that they only have chefs Friday and Saturday nights ridiculous. Never known anything like it. Tried to go for breakfast on our last day to find that the chefs don't start until 10.. 4 attempts at eating there. When we did eventually get in, the bar staff recommended The Comfy Duck down the road instead (amazing)

Easy access to car park with disabled spaces, but there it ended for us. Main entrance was not accessable to us instead being directed round the side to anothetb access. Then the stairs how do you do that with a walker. Thankfully we were helped up to then 1st floor. Room was easy to access and traverse but when toilet access was required we had to navigate through the dancers on the dance floor resulting in some knocked ankles with her walker, but the quality of the loos was very good. Sadly when access is limited due to other problems disabled access is forgotten, hence my rating down size

We stayed in the Mcilroy lodge adjacent to the golf course. The lodge was very clean and had all the usual kitchen appliances and both bedrooms had an en-suite. The lodge had an Hot tub and sky Sports TV we did not want for anything. The siting of the lodge was excellent, about 200 yards from the hotel and golf club. It was very quiet all weekend despite the many golfers on the course. The restaurant is well worth a visit as the food was excellent, well presented and cooked to perfection. Steff the lady at the reception for the lodges could not do enough for us and took us to the lodge and explained everything very professional. Melissa and Jade who looked after us in the restaurant were outstanding, very pleasant and looked after us certainly good at their jobs.

Stayed for 4 nights early September and loved every minute of it. We stayed in the muirfield lodge and it was amazing. Totally clean everywhere, living room was fantastic with views of the last hole. Kitchen was brilliant with everything in the cupboards and with full size fridge freezer. Bedrooms were comfy and bathrooms were lovely. Best bit was the hot tub, clean, hot and checked every day. Didn't want to leave plus we also got engaged here during our stay which made it even better. Will definitely be going back

Stayed in many wooden lodges all over the country including Forest Holidays. I think whoever thought of the idea just have not taken many things into consideration. Firstly a massive lack of privacy, they have 128 acres of land yet they place each Wooden Cottage right next to each other including the wooden pods they have. You can quite clearly view other residents in the hot tubs, also the noise from the little stones which they have placed all over the roads which leads to the wooden houses causes many noise issues when cars are driving to and from the properties. Some of the wooden homes also look out onto the road leading into the golf course which during delivery times it wakes you up, two mornings in a row I was woken up with delivery trucks coming in at 4am. You are not permitted to go on the grass, so therefore you are totally restricted enjoying the grounds, even walking at the side of the golf course is not allowed. The rules are totally strict, we was informed we could use the golf buggies however after asking some cocky stuck up teenager who was a member of staff he informed us unless you are disabled you are not allowed, funny enough I am disabled but couldn't do with an argument this was meant to be a relaxing time. They do not deliver food to the wooden homes either something Forest Holidays do with much success for example Pizza, salads, desserts and breakfast. We walked very close to the restaurant but found it rather stuck up to go in and eat anything we certainly would not be bringing a suit and shirts to eat a evening meal in 2017, from the windows it looked like the Ritz, however from what i read on the menu the food prices looked reasonable and they had a good range of different foods but we just did not walk in. We experienced issues with the plumbing during our stay but no staff around to report the problem, it's also a shame they don't have cleaners coming in ever few days to clean up even though the cost is high renting. The hot tub after a few days was filthy, they came each morning but simply filled it with chemicals they couldn't even clean around for us. No umbrellas in any of the properties so if it rained and you was suited and booted to enter the restaurant bring a umbrella. As some wooden lodges leave the outside lights on all night, the curtains in our property let all the light in, again doesn't help each wooden lodge are so close together so your bedroom is well lit all night. Unless you enjoy golf there is very little to do, I would also be extra concerned if you was unlucky enough to stay if a wedding was taking place as the noise would be horrendous. When we first checked in I found the staff member polite and was exceptionally clean and tidy. Personally for the price I would have expected more but next time I would rather stay elsewhere than here. I just don't feel they are properly geared up for this time of business and unless Laceby Manor Golf Club starts adapting and modernising the old fashioned business type they have they are going to run into trouble. Lastly be warned there is NO WIFI and the mobile signals are completely gone on at least 3 major Networks I tried, you are completely cut off a bit worrying if there is an emergency and the Laceby Manner is closed.

The same as many others, gutted that the place is changing to a Premier Inn guests only restaurant, seriously bad move. The place is busy nearly every serving We have even been for Christmas dinner for the last 10 years or so as well as breakfasts and tea times Please rethink this ridiculous decision

We visited to commemorate my Stepfather’s 80th Birthday after he passed away in 2022. He was born in Cleethorpes and as a child looked through the windows of this hotel with his brother saying that one day they would stay here. They both lived to experience staying here, and it is now our privilege to carry on this tradition. The hotel is beautiful, traditional and spotlessly clean. We dined in the restaurant and found the food and service impeccable. We look forward to returning next year…. And every year after.

My husband and I arrived at 1250 to be greeted with “have you booked?” As passing trade but living local we hadn’t realised you had to book and we were informed by a member of staff that they were really popular so tables get booked quickly but she would take a look. We noticed two tables free both seating 4, one in the corner and one set inbetween two other tables. The member of staff informed us that the corner table we had placed our things on was booked at 1:30 but we could have the one set inbetween the other tables and the one where everyone knocked into when passing. I told her we would be done quickly anyway so not to worry. My latte came and I had drunk it before my cake arrived, my husbands’ Americano was very weak but was hot, his cheesecake was tasty all the same and my Victoria sponge equally tasty. Within 15mins a table of 6 was cleared and made available and the table that we originally had chosen was offered as a “choice of where would you like to sit” to customers who had booked. We have eaten in some lovely places and had coffee in some nice settings but have never felt as uncomfortable or unwelcome before. I would say that if passing trade isn’t welcome then put bookings only on your page would be helpful, so customers who feel It would be lovely to drop by and support a local business don’t.
