Delicious food, amazing service. Can’t ask for better. Visiting from the states, didn’t have reservations, but they squeezed us in at the bar anyway, and we had a great night speaking with them! Couldn’t ask for better. We had the Albondigas as an appetizer, then the Spicy Chicken Paella for our meal. *chefs kiss*

The food was very good, one of the best Spanish restaurants I've tried out of Spain, if not the best. Friendly approach and definitely a place to repeat.

Fantastic tapas, and a lovely experience

The resteurant has a lovely decor and the staff were friendly. But, there was a large party of young people celebrating birthday being so rawdy and loud that we quickly left after our meal. The staff made no effort to let them know that they were disruptive. Nice food, but a bit deceptive - our chorizo tortilla had only a few shreds of chorizo.. A bit disappointing experience.

We had a fantastic meal here. Recommend the mussels. Fresh food and quick service plus great true Spanish atmosphere Update We managed to go back to La Tortilla and we were really looking forward to it after our last visit. The atmosphere in the restaurant is really nice, the staff are very friendly and the wine was excellent however the food has gone down hill. The Tortilla was dry and tough, the patatas bravas were also quite dry and unevenly cooked, asparagus salad had two quite raw pieces of asparagus sitting on a bowl of rocket, the meatballs however were OK. Would still recommend a glass of wine and some olives.

Let's see... As Spaniards and Madrileños, you don't even eat like this in the Plaza Mayor full of Güiris. Because the waiters were nice and one knew Spanish and the decoration is "very traditional" that if not.... Go to the McDonalds which is 200 meters away.

Amazing, my wife and I went there on our honeymoon twice, DEFINITELY try the paella, the meat-only one is very good but the truly amazing one is the squid ink paella with squid, mussels and prawns (the nice pulpy ones aren't microbes). In terms of cost, however, in my opinion it has the best quality/price ratio here in Iverness, truly very honest.

Had a meal here with friends, unfortunately the paella was very average, as if it was microwaved, and minimal meat. Would not recommend, as does not seem authentic.

Fantastic Spanish restaurant in the heart of Inverness. We shared amazing tapas, followed by a delicious Valencia paella, cooked to perfection with mussels, king prawns, chicken and peppers, accompanied with a very nice sangria. Been in about 6 times and will be back soon. Highly recommended

La comida era preciosa, no podía faltar nada de ella - sin embargo 1 paella habría sido suficiente entre nosotros - no estábamos preparados para lo grande que eran un plato. Recomiendo encarecidamente. £ 208 para 4 personas, incluidas las 3 jarras de sangría - Estoy feliz de pagar eso por una comida especial.

Esperamos con ansias este restaurante debido a todas las grandes críticas, pero estábamos un poco decepcionados en comparación con otros restaurantes de tapas que hemos experimentado, era promedio en el mejor de los casos la salchicha chorizo era como un enlace chorizo que era papilla cuando nos cortamos en él. Patatas bravos eran solo cubos de patatas con un poco de poción de puré de tomate y mayonesa no suficiente para cubrir el 90% del plato, los mejillones estaban un poco mal cocinados en mi opinión. Nos gustó el vino y el personal era agradable.

Pedí una comida para llevar de Paella y Tapas para una fiesta familiar. Fue realmente delicioso, todo caliente, fresco y presentación encantadora. Ordenó muchos artículos diferentes y todos estaban presentes y correctos. Gracias a todos los involucrados - que ayudó a hacer una noche muy especial!

Perfectly prepared and delicious tapas, good drinks, great service, relaxed atmosphere, all for a reasonable price.

We book a table the night before. 2 adults and 1 child. We arrive on time. The table isn't there. They offer us the counter. We point out that the reservation was for a table, they tell us that the place for us is there at the counter. I thank you and leave. Well, if you want to be teased in a Spanish restaurant in the highlands, that's the right place.

Everything was perfect that rainy night in Inverness

We popped in for a late lunch/early dinner and have to say we were really impressed with our visit, we had 6 Tapas and a lovely bottle of red wine, don’t really need it but then had 2 desserts and a liqueur to finish, great job guys, well done ! The tapas were some of the best we have had, you can tell a lot of love goes into the place and we will def be back next time we are in Inverness.

Probably the best restaurant we visited during our stay. We only had tapas, each one as good as the next, and for dessert, churros to die for, run there!!!

Walked into this restaurant at 8:30 on a Friday night. Asked if they were open and all three people working did not seem to have an answer. As a solo traveler, I asked if they had any available seating and they told me that solo people sit at the bar. Immediately, I was turned off. I went to this place because I heard how good the paella is. I asked if they had paella servings for one person and they told me that they only serve for two people which is absolutely ridiculous. Complete waste of my time.

For the second time I decided to go to this establishment this time with my girlfriend after a trip of 7 hours, we arrived at 9:00pm we've been accepted for dinner once we pass this order, I mean tried to pass the order the service went wrong we wanted to order 2 paella the staff refused and pretext their no more left in the kitchen and the kitchen was closing at 10 Pm we arrived one hour before, I work has a restaurant manager and I can understand if they say straight we are about to close but when your restaurant is almost empty and you accept guest, you can't say no because you are in the rush to go home. Second and last time I'm coming to this establishment it's a shame because the food is great.

Great little Spanish Tapas bar. Serves a good range of Tapas and Paella. As an update we booked again for a special night out. My wife called and was told to book online. She booked online and even had to enter her credit card details but received no confirmation of thw booking. Shr called the restaurant several more times and got no response. We arrived for our booking and were quite rudely told full and to leave. Shame but I think it's put me off going back.

Paella was excellent. We had 2. They were both delicious. Staff all lovely. But we had a couple attempts to get the right drinks. Good choice of meals, Tapas, wines and sherry

It was a little stuffy and hot in the restaurant but otherwise we had a fantastic dinner and drinks. The tapas and churros were incredible and I highly recommend the sangria.

They outsource their table reservation. It failed to work for us however the restaurant was nearly empty so a table for six was no problem fortunately. The food was well presented and tasty.

Fantastic food; paellas, tapas, & daily specials. Great selection of wines, beers, & sangria's. A couple of outside plus their indoor tables. Busy enough today to make the service a little slow unfortunately, but can also be incredibly fast.

What a great tapas bar/restaurant this place is. To be guaranteed a seat, please book ahead as the food is that good. it's always busy. Great price on tapas meals and sharing meals for two people. The staff are brilliant and food comes out piping hot. Great selection of wines and drinks too. I'll definitely go back!

Javier was attentive and made some great suggestions. Chorizo Al Vino - great flavor Padron Peppers - the salt makes the flavor Ensalada De Esparragos - my least favorite. It needed more dressing Pollo Muy Ajo - our favorite! Especially when some lemon is squeezed on top. I liked the Tempranillo over the Malbec.

We shared 4 delicious plates - meatballs, croquettes, calamari and aubergine, the bill was under £50 with sparkling water and wine. Bonus cooking instructions as we left.

We were impressed by the prompt and attentive service provided by the server, While the majority of the dishes met our expectations, we did find the flavor of the gambas to be somewhat lacking. However, the paella was reminiscent of the authentic flavors we experienced in Spain. Overall, we would highly recommend La Tortilla and look forward to returning for another dining experience.

La Tortilla had pretty good Spanish food, everything ordered was as expected at our table. The Paella are all for 2, and cost around $30 GBP, the menu states it but there was some confusion. The service was not good, the waitress would zoom away from one table with blinders on and skipped over multiple tables who were trying to flag her down for refills or salt or to order. If the service was better this would have been a 5 star. Good food, less than standard service.

Overpriced tourist trap with extremely slow service. We ordered the Paella Valenciana which cost £29, took over 45 minutes to serve, and ended up being a dish of flavorless rice and about 2 tiny pieces of chicken and 2 shrimp. The potato and egg tortilla ended up being a cold microwave potato dish that cost us £6. Our 2 small glasses of wine cost us £14. The staff took over 20 minutes to even take our order and were not helpful or welcoming in the slightest.

Beautiful food and friendly service we had a wonderful time and were very well looked after. It was hard to decide on what to get because of all the good options available ! The Aubergine fritters were outstanding. We shared a paella between 3 of us after several tapas and that was more than enough. Enjoyed every dish very much. The decor is so good you almost think you are going to walk outside into blazing sunshine. Thoroughly recommend we will certainly return for special occasions or when in need of that holiday feeling (!)

Incredibly delicious and authentic food in a lovely rustic setting. I was a little hesitant to try Spanish tapas in Scotland, but the first bite won me over immediately. Ordering dessert is also a must. Gracias!

I've lived in Spain for two years, Paella is one of my favourite dishes. The first time I visited the Tortilla, the paella was delicious! So much that I had to come back!! I don't know about the rest of the dishes or tapas, but this is one of the best Paellas I've tried. On Sundays the owner, Duncan, prepares a XL paella. This can be of different flavours each time, and different from the regular menu. It's definitely a nice way to try a small portion if you fancy. Alternatively, the paella for two is always available a la carte. See pics of the menu. Delicious!!! Oh! And the range of wines is very good as well ;)

We were there asking for a table for three, just saw an empty table as guests just left. A waitress came and told us the kitchen is busy that night so she would need to check for us and let us know. While waiting, another waitress came and said they didn’t have space. We thought we wait for the answer from the first waitress as it looks like it’s possible that we could sit on the empty table and wait longer for the food. While waiting for the first waitress, the second waitress came again and she was very rude. I don’t quite remember the words she used but she gave us the look and it was like “what are you still doing here, get out now”. It was in general a bad experience. We were very excited about tasting Spanish food but that didn’t happen unfortunately.

This restaurant is amazing, we can't wait to go back again for more delicious food and sangria, we had paella which was the tastiest we have ever had, we had 3 tapas dishes, the mussels, potato bravas, prawns and each dish was unbelievably tasty. We would have eaten more if we weren't so stuffed. The sangria is delic. Staff are all amazing, really really helpful, kind and attentive. Duncan the owner even came over to speak to us which was so lovely. Such a great Spanish feel in the restaurant.

We are Spaniards so, when we read the "recommend by my grandmother" signal, we had to go inside for a drink and a tapa. The owner was really nice, and we found the "patatas bravas" great. We strongly agree with the owner's grandma.

We arrived in Inverness and just happened to park right outside this place and liked the look of it and went in. Managed to get a table, service was very good, food came quickly and was delicious. Restaurant looks great and an added bonus has lots of things you can buy from art to paella accessories.

As a Spaniard that I am, very disappointing the food of this place for a person from here can still be fooled but for a native Spaniard not , we ordered hard and raw padrón peppers, bravas were not bad because they do not have much mystery, passable croquettes, very dry and hard potato omelette. This shouldn't be in TripAdvisor.. The only Spanish thing in the restaurant the tiles and the wine is a real spanish.

Came here last year and thought we’d come back to see if it was as good as first time, it was just as great this time. Had the meatballs, they are so tasty, prawns are simple but lovely - ask for bread to soak up the garlic oil. Lots of choices for paellas, we had the seafood, well worth the half an hour wait for it. Friendly service and fair price, we will make this our “go to” place next time in Inverness

We really liked the ambiance, however everything else was poor, starting from the waitress with very greasy hair and abrupt manners, to the paella colour which looked very much like a frozen one. The waitress suggested at least half an hour wait for the paella to be cooked, so that she could upsell some tapas, but actually the paella arrived in less than 20 minutes. We were served a third of a large packet of truffle crisps for £4.95. Sadly the worst place we have eaten in Inverness.

Been coming to this restaurant since it opened, fantastic food and sangria very tasty, a little bit of Spain in Inverness.

I ordered tortilla Espanola, berenjenas fritas, ensalada de esparragos, earl grey tea. In menu lots of spirits drinks and i did not find simple cup tea, but when ask, i got it. Ensalada de esparragos it is a mix of lettuce salad, fresh tomatoes, cocktail peppers, with toasted pine nuts and olive oil, decorative with 3 twig of asparagus. Interesting experience. Tasty. Thank you. Berengenas fritas it is a big pieces of aubergine fried in flour and topped agave syrup with sea salt. It is too fat, sweet and salted. Not tasty. Tortilla Espanola it's a 2 pieces of Spanish tortilla. It is look and taste like not fresh tortilla, quickly defrosted and heated on the frying pan, decorated fresh parsley. Not tasty. It is sad, this place have title La Tortilla, and serv awful tortilla. Earl grey tea were ok.

The first taste of this recipe perfected twenty years ago and has resisted any attempts by any chefs since then to tweak it since becomes a genuine ceremony. The sort that comes from the feeling of living in the moment instead of going through the motions at an event. A cross between a spiritual experience and a drug.

We went to this Spanish restaurant on the main road into Inverness. Nice place. Too touristy menu. Paella worth seeing again, completely oily, and full of garlic and onion.

Fantastic food and excellent service

Friendly staff, good prices in city centre. Really tasty and fresh food, paella was really good and would recommend.

We ate there last Sunday late afternoon. We really enjoyed our meal and experience, and at the end, the bill was a lot less than expected. We are regularly visitors to Spain so much so that both are quite proficient in Spanish. We will return there soon.

We enjoyed a dinner me and my wife, it was not crowded at all probably because of the low season. The location is fine and the food was really good. It was also cheap, super!!!!! If you are around it’s definitely a good choice

工作人員非常友善，而且隨時來查看我們的用餐進度，穿插幾句可愛的西班牙語 光線偏暗，一如西班牙小酒館的風味，牆壁的浮雕磁磚和彩繪磁磚，非常有西班牙的特色，牆上展示很多販售商品 Tapas口味都偏鹹，但好吃，padron 和炸魚非常推薦，會用傳統的容器承裝，這就是小酒館該有的樣子啊😘 朋友的餐巾，裡面是髒的，有蕃茄醬的污漬，我們沒有特別提起要更換（平日晚上他們只有兩位外場服務人員，實在太辛苦了！）後來上海鮮飯之前，幫我們更換了盤子和餐具，也就順便拿到新的了 海鮮飯沒有特別驚艷，海鮮顯然不是新鮮的（我猜是冷凍的），不過烹調味道還不錯！我們吃的很開心 他們的預約電話聽不清楚，需要有點耐心！ 總體而言，蠻推薦的意見餐酒館喔

This place is fantastic! We ate here 4 years ago, the last time we were in Inverness, and decided to go again. The best menu items are the berenjenas fritas, the albóndigas and the mushroom madness paella. I would highly recommend.
