Beautiful food and friendly service we had a wonderful time and were very well looked after. It was hard to decide on what to get because of all the good options available ! The Aubergine fritters were outstanding. We shared a paella between 3 of us after several tapas and that was more than enough. Enjoyed every dish very much. The decor is so good you almost think you are going to walk outside into blazing sunshine. Thoroughly recommend we will certainly return for special occasions or when in need of that holiday feeling (!)

Found this by chance, now cannot wait to return!! Authentic both through the interior of the restaurant and the delicious foods. Felt like I could have been in Spain! LOVED it!

Excellent tapas restaurant offering a great menu. The food was very nice with plenty of choice for all, with some lovely vegetarian dishes. Good drinks selection. The staff were very helpful and efficient, even though the restaurant was packed. Highly recommended

This restaurant is amazing, we can't wait to go back again for more delicious food and sangria, we had paella which was the tastiest we have ever had, we had 3 tapas dishes, the mussels, potato bravas, prawns and each dish was unbelievably tasty. We would have eaten more if we weren't so stuffed. The sangria is delic. Staff are all amazing, really really helpful, kind and attentive. Duncan the owner even came over to speak to us which was so lovely. Such a great Spanish feel in the restaurant.

We arrived in Inverness and just happened to park right outside this place and liked the look of it and went in. Managed to get a table, service was very good, food came quickly and was delicious. Restaurant looks great and an added bonus has lots of things you can buy from art to paella accessories.

As a Spaniard that I am, very disappointing the food of this place for a person from here can still be fooled but for a native Spaniard not , we ordered hard and raw padrón peppers, bravas were not bad because they do not have much mystery, passable croquettes, very dry and hard potato omelette. This shouldn't be in TripAdvisor.. The only Spanish thing in the restaurant the tiles and the wine is a real spanish.

We really liked the ambiance, however everything else was poor, starting from the waitress with very greasy hair and abrupt manners, to the paella colour which looked very much like a frozen one. The waitress suggested at least half an hour wait for the paella to be cooked, so that she could upsell some tapas, but actually the paella arrived in less than 20 minutes. We were served a third of a large packet of truffle crisps for £4.95. Sadly the worst place we have eaten in Inverness.

Came here last year and thought we’d come back to see if it was as good as first time, it was just as great this time. Had the meatballs, they are so tasty, prawns are simple but lovely - ask for bread to soak up the garlic oil. Lots of choices for paellas, we had the seafood, well worth the half an hour wait for it. Friendly service and fair price, we will make this our “go to” place next time in Inverness

Love this wee place, the food was amazing, service great and not expensive at all... we had 6 dishes between us and was very satisfied. Will definitely be back when back in Inverness.

Called in for an early meal. Great welcome and service was excellent. Choices to eat were easy to rid and not too many. Wine was excellent and tapas were even better!

Been coming to this restaurant since it opened, fantastic food and sangria very tasty, a little bit of Spain in Inverness.

I ordered tortilla Espanola, berenjenas fritas, ensalada de esparragos, earl grey tea. In menu lots of spirits drinks and i did not find simple cup tea, but when ask, i got it. Ensalada de esparragos it is a mix of lettuce salad, fresh tomatoes, cocktail peppers, with toasted pine nuts and olive oil, decorative with 3 twig of asparagus. Interesting experience. Tasty. Thank you. Berengenas fritas it is a big pieces of aubergine fried in flour and topped agave syrup with sea salt. It is too fat, sweet and salted. Not tasty. Tortilla Espanola it's a 2 pieces of Spanish tortilla. It is look and taste like not fresh tortilla, quickly defrosted and heated on the frying pan, decorated fresh parsley. Not tasty. It is sad, this place have title La Tortilla, and serv awful tortilla. Earl grey tea were ok.

The first taste of this recipe perfected twenty years ago and has resisted any attempts by any chefs since then to tweak it since becomes a genuine ceremony. The sort that comes from the feeling of living in the moment instead of going through the motions at an event. A cross between a spiritual experience and a drug.

We went to this Spanish restaurant on the main road into Inverness. Nice place. Too touristy menu. Paella worth seeing again, completely oily, and full of garlic and onion.

Fantastic food and excellent service

Friendly staff, good prices in city centre. Really tasty and fresh food, paella was really good and would recommend.

We ate there last Sunday late afternoon. We really enjoyed our meal and experience, and at the end, the bill was a lot less than expected. We are regularly visitors to Spain so much so that both are quite proficient in Spanish. We will return there soon.

2nd time visiting now, always an excellent place to visit with brilliant food ☺️

We enjoyed a dinner me and my wife, it was not crowded at all probably because of the low season. The location is fine and the food was really good. It was also cheap, super!!!!! If you are around it’s definitely a good choice

工作人員非常友善，而且隨時來查看我們的用餐進度，穿插幾句可愛的西班牙語 光線偏暗，一如西班牙小酒館的風味，牆壁的浮雕磁磚和彩繪磁磚，非常有西班牙的特色，牆上展示很多販售商品 Tapas口味都偏鹹，但好吃，padron 和炸魚非常推薦，會用傳統的容器承裝，這就是小酒館該有的樣子啊😘 朋友的餐巾，裡面是髒的，有蕃茄醬的污漬，我們沒有特別提起要更換（平日晚上他們只有兩位外場服務人員，實在太辛苦了！）後來上海鮮飯之前，幫我們更換了盤子和餐具，也就順便拿到新的了 海鮮飯沒有特別驚艷，海鮮顯然不是新鮮的（我猜是冷凍的），不過烹調味道還不錯！我們吃的很開心 他們的預約電話聽不清楚，需要有點耐心！ 總體而言，蠻推薦的意見餐酒館喔

This place is fantastic! We ate here 4 years ago, the last time we were in Inverness, and decided to go again. The best menu items are the berenjenas fritas, the albóndigas and the mushroom madness paella. I would highly recommend.

Been here on numerous occasions and it gets better each time. We take our 4yr old daughter with us and she loves trying all the different foods. Highly recommended.

We visit Spain a lot, and are huge fans of Spanish food, so we were delighted to find this restaurant in Inverness. What a find! Very friendly staff and owner. Two of our party shared the seafood paella, which was very good, a big compliment as my husband loves his paella!! Can thoroughly recommend Pan con Tomate, Patatas Bravas, Calamares Fritos, Pollo Al Ajillo, Berenjenas Fritas. Only criticism, which I hope is taken constructively, was the Gambas Pil Pil; the prawns were lovely but the oil was not the best I have tasted. We are very much looking forward to going back!

Worst Paella I’ve ever had. I’ve eaten many paella’s all over the UK in my long years and this was without questions the worst. I selected Kedgeree Paella an exiting mix (I thought) of local smoked haddock, egg, coriander and curry mayo. How wrong could I be. What was delivered was overcooked, super dry (you could stand a fork on it) and so over salted it could not be eaten, in fact it made me, and others in my party, physically gag. Worse, I complained with care, and said to the waiter relatively quickly that this meal was of very poor quality overly seasoned and returned the dish. Imagine my shock when I was told that the dish must be paid for. This was the decision from the ‘chef’. I explained the situation and this was greeted with an uncaring ‘shrug of so what’ and ‘dismissal’ verging on rudeness. Avoid avoid avoid. Appalling lack of customer care.

Around the corner from our b&b, we'd wanted a casual yet fun dinner with friends. For a Tuesday at a 5:30 pm seating, the service was very good, the wine recommendation was excellent, tapas arrived promptly (bread tapas, chicken in garlic) at the correct temperature and seasoning, chicken /chorizo paella was very good but could have had more meat, and the desserts (almond tart, crema catalena) were reminiscent of what we had in Andalucia.

the board fish 3 of the 6 parts were fish. That is nit enough.

Food was ok, some highpoints in the salt cod in batter which was light and fluffy, but the toasted bread with tomato and garlic was cold and soggy. Service was friendly and professional throughout, however a massive negative was a very drunk table of 4 close to us who totally spoilt our meal and in my view the restaurant should have dealt with, but in fact tolerated until they decided to leave themselves. Would I go back? Maybe, but I feel they are overly reliant on being the only Spanish tapas show in town.

Excellent lunch in La Tortilla Restaurant. Tapas were amazing as well as the paellas (Madrid & mushrooms), which were so delicious. We were looking for a place different to the local food as we shared the lunch with friends, whose do not eat meat. Javier provided as a wonderful service. Highly recommended. Saludos de Chile.

Our favourite eatery in Inverness (So far !). They welcome you even after 9pm (last food 10pm I think). Always feel welcome and always a buzz about the place.

We had the tapas - 2 should be enough if you order at least 1 with potato in it. The paella was great. Staff very friendly, managed to find us a table even though it was a busy Saturday night and we hadn't booked a table.

Lovely meal this weekend, the aubergine fritters were particularly awesome. So was the white wine sangria!

My wife and I stumbled upon this restaurant on accident and we were absolutely thrilled. The food was amazing and the staff is very friendly and accommodating. If you're in Inverness for lunch or dinner I highly recommend this restaurant

This place looked great on the menu but, the reality is its over priced, cheap wine at expensive prices, dismissive service and pre prepared food. I wouldn't go back or recommend it..

No se parece una mi**da a lo que se supone q es. T piden 7 libras por 3 croquetas de bolsa, la tortilla de patatas q t dice en la carta q es de huevos de corral parece hecha con plastilina dura, hace delicatessen digna de estrellas michelín a la congelada del Mercadona y las bravas q llevan salsa de tomate algo picante apenas nada tb llevan algo de alioli pero están crudas por dentro y t las sirven con piel. Yo ma gente que lo pone como si fuera bueno de verdad no se donde habrá comido pq a mi me da vergüenza q nadie pueda pensar q esto es lo q hacemos en España. Parece comida del Imaginarium. Lo único bueno es q tienen Mahou. No vayan. No es comida española. Es una estafa y cara. La camarera parece atenta, tb es verdad q estamos solos.

Una auténtica basura. Todo de bolsa, hasta la tortilla, que parece un adoquín. Uno cuando va a un español en el extranjero espera que le cobren caro, pero al menos que esté bueno, aquí nada de eso: caro, malo y escaso. Supongo que son dos guiris que quieren vengarse de nosotros o algo así, si no, no tiene sentido.

We had lunch here today, we give it 10/10 for choice and taste. Really, really nice. I had vegan options too which is always a bonus.

10/10 for food, great vegan options. They even were playing Spanish radio with pop and rock songs which was hilarious!

A friend and I found this place on Google and decided to give it a go, and are very glad we did! Thankfully, we had arrived at a time where we were able to get a table, but I highly recommend booking so that you don’t potentially miss out. The food was absolutely amazing and the staff were so lovely and caring. It’s clear that there is passion behind this place! The staff also were able to provide some tubs for us to take our leftovers home, which was greatly appreciated. A great selection of vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options too. Absolutely recommend ☺️

A bit disappointing, very unwelcoming, very expensive overpriced , agree with other review some tapas good and some quite poor. Gambas , very few prawns, other tapas mussels good. No appetizers bread, olives , asked for bread came late , charged for , after all food eaten and very inflexible. We did not eat. Have been before to restaurant, but won't recommend or be back, ashame

Love this place, I usually go once a month. Lovely staff, lovely food and great atmosphere. The cherry on top is always the Crema Catalana with a glass of Pedro Ximenez to finish the night off. 😋

I called up on the of chance there was any availability… they managed to squeeze us in within 40mins and we’re brilliant … staff were friendly and food was good and well presented

decepcionante sitio de comida española, caro pero hay que reconocer que la calidad es buena y las raciones escasas. 3 croquetas 7 libras? la tortilla deja mucho que desear. el resto estaba muy bueno pero para lo que pagamos nos quedamos con hambre. lo siento pero los españoles no estamos acustumbrados a este tipo de raciones/tapas.

No sería justo valorar con menos estrellas este lugar. Comida española con buena carta y buena presencia.

Tapas for 2 on a Saturday night. Food was very good, 6 dishes between us was ample. Sangria was tasty. Tried the Boozy Date Night dessert which was lovely. Staff were very attentive and friendly. Great atmosphere inside, hen party came in and it got a bit loud at times but as some tables were quite close together, it just drowned out other people's conversations nicely. Would definitely recommend and go back again. 👍

Great food, especially the olives in homemade marinade were fantastic! Very friendly staff. We were not so fond of the specials but that’s a question of taste.

Dropped in here after reading other reviews and it did not disappoint! The hosts and staff were awesome, the food was absolutely delicious and the wine selection was amazing. Can’t wait to vivid Inverness again to drop in again, thank you so much guys!

Tapas in Scotland? Yes, please! The food and service we're great. We weren't starving, so 2 tapas each was perfect, with one being veggies (peppers padròn). Call for a reservation. They have a selection of Spanish wine and spirits, which was nice. The desserts weren't particularly Spanish, so we skipped dessert. That would be the only improvement I would have made. We enjoyed this stop!

We tasted almost all tapas and took the Meat Fiesta Paella. It was totally what we hopen for. Service was extremely friendly. I recommend all Spanish food lovers to come here

I was spending some days in Inverness and in this place is where we had the delicious food of our stay. Delicious paellas and tapas. Good attention from the staff. Lovely place.

La planche de fromages; 3 fromages pour 30 livres c'est un peu cher... Sinon, du classique espagnol, pas mauvais mais pas exceptionnel.

Expensive but tasty food. On the more expensive end of the scale for Inverness. Forgot to take pics but we had a selection of Tapas (chicken, chorizo, chips, meatballs, green peppers). Would go again.

A reasonably priced place that was open early compared to other dinner spots and took us without a reservation. Very nice staff.

This place usec to be great but now really nothing special. Overpriced and a bit tasteless. Staff not very welcoming. Wouldnt return, there are a lot better places to eat in Inverness

The staff at La Tortilla are friendly and the tapas are good. The paella was a bit of a disappointment though, as it did not have the signature flavor of saffron despite being bright yellow color. Sadly, this is a common cost cutting approach by restaurants in and out of Spain.

Great vegetarian food options and a lovely atmosphere

Spouse and I had the vegan paella. It was good, but a little oily. That said, it may just be how paella usually is prepared. The atmosphere was good and the service was excellent. They offered carafes and half carafes of wine and sangria. Not being from Inverness or Scotland (or Europe for that matter), I would say visitors to town should reserve a table well in advance, especially for a weekend.

We decided to visit La tortilla after reading previous reviews. However, our experience wasn’t the best. The wait 40 min to be served 3 croquets, the wrong omelette and garlic bread. The was not salt and pepper at the table, and the only way to drink the sangria was to buy 1/2 pint. I personally won’t comeback!
