Great dinner. Great service, and real fast. My youngest loved the prawns.

I do not recommend it. We had creamy rice with prawns and mussels and it looked like mashed rice. My partner ordered the lamb and it was bad. The attention of the staff saves the place.

The food was practically tasteless, everything was very flat, the sangria was really very good. Quite high prices, 3 cheese triangles £16.00, the hairless waiter very friendly and professional. 4 slices of plain bread £6.00. I don't think we'll be back

Poor value for money. Bread stale and butter was hard. The cured meat board was poor for £16 and sparking water at £5.50 is not the best value. Dirty tables and toilets. Sorry not good.

The food was tasty and the portions a good size for a tapas place. It is quite loud tho but we went during lunch time and it was super busy. I found it a bit odd that the food started arriving before all the drinks have been served. I had some tea and it arrived later than some hot food. I just found it more odd than annoying. It's a great place and I would return.

The location, service and ambiance are great. So the place is great to hang out with friends or colleagues. The food is not very remarkable. Some dishes feel over fried and give more the vibe of a pub than of a tapas restaurant

Spanish tapas food was good and we had a bottle of traditional sangria to go with our meal. It's a spacious restaurant ample seating on a weekday. It's adjacent to the hall, just have to walk up two flights of steps.

Absolutely love this place. The food is amazing, it's in a great location for a spot of lunch during the working day. A chilled glass of wine and several tapas dishes shared with a friend. Brilliant

decent food, but no traditional spanish food, mostly food from bits of other cultures (the group tasted mostly indian), there are two waiters so if many people in the restaurant you may not be attended to immediately. restaurant is on the second floor, so there is a decent amount of steps but it serves a good view. food was quite expensive, £50 for a singular sirloin. group was a little disappointed by the fact that they did not have the signature dish, paella, but in conclusion not a bad place for a meal.

The food was okay, definitely not the best tapas we’ve ever had and it was pretty pricey for the portion sizes you got. The prawns weren’t the freshest either, tasted like they may have been from frozen. It was very quiet when we went (a Saturday about 3pm) and at one point we were the only ones in there. The service was good, however make sure you check your receipt, as I didn’t realise until after we’d already paid the bill that they’d added an extra 35p to one of our already expensive drinks vs the price on the menu. They may have also done this with other items we ordered but the drink is the only one I could recall the price of.

It’s a really nice little tapas place but the food wasn’t amazing. The Sangria was great and the service was good. Most of the tapas were ok but the portions were tiny and we ordered the charcuterie board but it was so small, definitely not worth the money

A great location for lunchtime dining with atmosphere. Attentive staff, good quality food and a view out over the market. Catered for gluten-free. Will be returning.

Nice staff Pretty decoration We had some tapas including : patatras bravas, croquetas, tortilla de patatas and jamon Everything was nice Only comment I would make : the sauce is served straight on the patatas and on the croquetas. If you don’t like garlic, you may wanna ask not to put it at all because it won’t be aside of the food.

Nice spot in the market, cool view from the second floor( you have to find the stairwell to get into the restaurant) Nice selection of wines and the tapas were very good, the peppers were my favorite and they were all I think reasonably priced for the taste. 5/5 would definitely return to try the other wines!

A little disappointing! The venue is beautifully and food was above average but wow was the service/vibe weird. Booked a table for 8pm and arrived to be told they called twice during the day (didn’t answer as I was working) to let me know kitchen closes at 8:30pm so last orders are in 15 mins. So we get rushed to order, the waiters speak little to no English so couldn’t recommend anything or understand when when we ordered wine, coming back twice to ask us to point to the menu to order. Then as soon as we’re done eating they bring the bill and card machine. Felt like we were rushed to eat and leave. Wouldn’t go back which is sad considering it could be a really nice place.

This restaurant isn’t good only to taste new things; it’s also a comfortable place where you can hang out quietly with your friends and the staff is really kind with customers: they do their best for you to have a great experience. Croquetas De Jamòn are sensational (homemade and handmade❤️)!!!!! Boquerones were perfect (right amount of vinegar😂) Dulcis in fundo … Iberian pork with truffles, potato purée and Jerusalem artichokes ….is the apotheosis of love.

Food was good, but the time to serve was incredibly slow - it took >2 hours to receive all courses, with 10 minute gaps between each plate of simple tapas arriving, on what was supposed to be a speedy business lunch. They had a large amount of serving staff but perhaps need to employ more in the kitchen? If you can sort the service out this would be a solid choice in a good location.

Good food and service. I would prefer more chicken options. Also, you need to climb a set of tight stairs so keep that in mind if you're not overly mobile.

Nice enough place. I went here a LONG time ago and the decor hasn't changed. Food is OK, but don't expect a traditional Spanish Tapas. Very good wine selection however! 👌

Nice atmosphere above the fray of Leadenhall Market. Nice views of the market below. Service is okay. We ordered Tabla De Pan 3.5/5, Queen Olives 4/5, Charcuterie Board 4/5, Broken Eggs 3/5, Croquetas de Jamon 4/5, Garlic Prawns 3.5/5, and Octopus Tentacle 4.5/5. Nice wine selection. Adequate beer choices.

Spanish restaurant not for spanish people. Ni los torreznos son torreznos, ni los huevos rotos son huevos rotos.

We had a lunch reservation for Monday September 19. We understand that it was the Queen's Funeral Day, but an email informing us they were closed would have been courteous. We walked a long way to get there. We chose la Vina because of their gluten free options. Finding a replacement venue for lunch was very difficult.

Had lunch at La Vina today - terrible experience. Arrived at 1pm to an almost empty restaurant. Waiter didn't come and take food or drink orders until 1.30. We explained that we were under time pressures and needed everything brought as soon as possible. Food didn't start turning up until 2pm and was cold - had clearly been left standing in the kitchen. One of our dishes never arrived at all. Manager did waive the charges for the meal but the whole visit was a waste of a lunchtime. Portions were tiny and I ended up having to buy a sandwich as I was still hungry. Will not be going back again.

Great Tapas restaurant, wonderfully located in the heart of the city. Beautifully presented plates and authentic dishes.

Absolutely delicious tapas. Had their house white and red and both paired with our meals perfectly. Very fair prices excellent quality.

I am lucky enough to spend half my time in Catalunya and half my time in London. I really know whatbis good bad or mediocre tapas. I used to go to La Trasca which was medicre but yesterday was first time at La Vina since takeover during covid. DO NOT GO TO LA VINA. Honestly I am actually angry that i have been mugged off with really poor quality tapas at really expensive prices. The wine was good but for example the Pan y Tomate - u can make that by slightly toasting a baguette and then u drizzle olive oil and rub garlic and fresh tomato onto the bread. Normally delicious but La Vina have just got a bit bread and poured some tinned tomatoes on it. Utter rubbish. the Prawns were old and def past best and only 6 of them - i would get 15 in Catalunya! I don’t thinkni need to gonon further. Honestly it is a complete rip off.

pretty decent Spanish lunch place located right in the middle of Leadenhall market. we had great artichoke hearts and seabass. usual tapas are good too. a faire varier if wine is on offer, and it gets lively even during Tuesday afternoons

I met with a colleague here for lunch. Super tapas and attentive service, especially by Andrea and Mason. Very good 👌

Went in for a group dinner. I have tried 4 dishes and food was hit and miss. The Artichokes tapas dish was flavourful, both Cod & Sea bass main had no flavour, the vegetables in the dish were overcooked. Price was on the higher end, service/food was not so bad. Decorations and locations were good. Do not recommend.

Great random find for dinner and drinks after work. The quality is consistent for both food and wine. Mason is a riot! We will keep coming back!

Found this little gem of a place by chance and had a really delicious meal. I was with 3 friends and we all thoroughly enjoyed our food. Shame it was so quiet as deserves to be busy. Mason the waiter was a lot of fun and so engaging. We recommend giving this restaurant a try. Great evening. Will be back. Think this used to be La tasca restaurant but now is independently owned and so good.

Lovely food and atmosphere - Mason in particular gave us incredible service and really helped us to enjoy the night, particularly when it came to drinks.

Awesome food at a very fair price! The staff were lovely.

Food was hit and miss. The octopus, patatas bravas and padron peppers were very good, but the galician fish and the stuffed chicken breast were dry and tasteless. The churros were mildly undercooked - pale and more doughy on the inside than they should be. The service was also rather inattentive, despite the restaurant being only half-full. For example, we asked to see the dessert menu and were subsequently ignored for 10-15 min and had to try several times to attract one of the server's attention to be able to order a dessert. Will not be coming back.

This place is ok. Food was cooked well, but service a bit slow. Also if you have mobility issues don't go here, you have to climb 3 flights of stairs to the first floor.

Food was good, though the service was rather lacking. The waiters did not listen suitably to our requests, though we got there in the end.

Not sure why this is the second Tasca entry in google for exactly the same place. The food is awful, microwaved for some plates, too greasy. We ordered 9 tapas and none of them impressed us. We had tapas in another place just the night before and it was exceptional... so clearly the issue is not our love of tapas. On the positive side the service is decent and food arrived quickly, but that may explains the poor quality. Avoid for foods, ok for drinks.

As a Spaniard I am usually not very happy with Spanish restaurants outside Spain.. but this is one of those few exceptions! Great selection, perfectly cooked makes you feel back at home. I took a chance and brought an American to try Spanish food for the first time and it was a success.

Excellent value for money. Food is delicious & 2hrs bottomless Cava, just £24!!! Great Saturday afternoon.

We meet here for a reunion every few months and have for years - it is just a great place to have an overly long lunch.

Was ok not very authentic Spanish tapas but ok for quick bite

We used to go to La Tasca located close Liverpool Street. Since they closed that restaurant we decided to try this one. The menu contains less veggie option and I missed the mushroom, broccoli and it seems there are less tapas choices. Overall the food is delicious (I had a fish paella), but it should not be compared to the other otherwise it is a bit of a disappointment.

Terrible. Have been here many times and each time seems to get worse. There’s only 2 waiters for about 80 people so it’s extremely slow and they are very stressed. Plates just get chucked at you. On this one occasion the bread was very stale hard as nails and they didn’t really care, we were given an even worse kind of bread as a substitute. Then they delivered a main course to one person 30 mins after the rest of the food came out and said at arrival oh we forgot the chorizo sorry. But didn’t even add it! Anyway they have had far too many chances. Las banderas round the corner is much better.

We’ve always loved this place since it was Ortega.Staff always friendly and helpful. Delightful building and surrounds.Several dishes very over-salted almost to the point of being inedible. Tortilla very poor. Supermarket tortillas are better than this.It was like the chef wasn’t Spanish and or didn’t care about their product.Also, one of us was gluten intolerant and we noticed a substantial reduction in portion sizes as a result. A lot of restaurants seem to do this- they simply take away the gluten ingredients, ie bread, or crackers, and charge the same price...how about increasing the portions to compensate guys? Or charging less? We will be back as this was one bad meal out of many but there are definitely lessons the restaurant could listen to here

Not having Tapas that often, the manager helped us choose. It was all very tasty, albeit could have been a bit hotter. Deserts were good. Good gluten free selection. Great location. Buzzing atmosphere. Restaurant was quite noisy even though only half full! But that was just about bearable.

This first floor spacious Spanish eatery with great views over Leadenhall Market is lively and pleasant. However, the food is mostly unexceptional. The paella. which we ordered, was very disappointing both in quality and quantity. In contrast with the rest of the food, a chocolate dessert was very enjoyable. This is not a place I would reccommend for Spanish food.

¡No sé cómo las personas han descrito este lugar como "español auténtico"! Toda la comida parecía estar fuera del congelador, especialmente las croquetas de carne y las patatas bravas. Además, las raciones eran pequeñas. El manchego para 5 consistía en dos pequeñas rodajas de queso. . .El servicio estaba bien, pero tuvimos que pedir 3 veces por agua y dos veces por un tenedor para comer!Definitivamente no volveré

Siamo arrivati in questo locale tutto sommato carino ma con personale non proprio cortese. Infatti appena arrivati al tavolo prenotato per le 20.30, il cameriere ci avverte che avevamo solo 30 minuti per effettuare gli ordine poiché la cucina era in chiusura (???). Quindi, essendo un tavolo di 7 persone ed avendo poco tempo per decidere, ordiniamo tapas varie e tre paella, oltre litri di sangria. Arrivano i primi piatti e noto che hanno tutti lo stesso sapore: non sanno proprio di nulla. Tutti insipidi ed insignificanti, oltre che pieni di olio.. il che peggiorava solo la situazione. Riponiamo quindi tutta la nostra speranza nella paella; ahimè ulteriore delusione: riso scotto, senza sale e simile a della colla! dopo tutto l'unica cosa salvabile della serata, data dalla lungimiranza di un commensale, è stato il piatto di prosciutto e formaggi che fortunatamente non doveva esser cucinato!!!In conclusione cibo pessimo e conto alto. Da evitare assolutamente

Un gran lugar en el corazón de la ciudad. Visité aquí en un viaje de negocios y disfrutamos de una excelente comida y un servicio atento. Un menú decente con una gran selección de tapas bien preparadas y una buena carta de vinos. Valor razonable también teniendo en cuenta la ubicación. Sin duda comer aquí de nuevo.

Unfortunately a lot of the vegetarian food was out of stock at this branch, so after a few drink we headed out. However the ambience is great, and their selection and quality of beverages are quite lengthy. Once they have more vegetarian dishes available, we will be back!!!

I like Spanish Tapas and La Tasca is the tapas equivalent of pizza express for pizza. It is a chain but an upper middle chain. This one had a cool manager. It is in a great setting (Leaden Hall Market) and tucked away up lots of stairs on the top floor. Food is upper middle.... this particular restaurant was noisy but good atmosphere.

Visited recently with a friend and had a lovely time. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the food was very good. If you like tapas food it's well worth a visit. I'll certainly be going there again. I perhaps should mention however that this restaurant is not suitable for disabled people as there are quite a lot of steep stairs to climb to get to the restaurant and also more stairs to the toilets.

It's a lovely place, nice food, overall had a good experience. Volume of the music could be lower but this might be to do with my personal situation or taste.

Really nice, fairly authentic tapas restaurant in a slightly unexpected place, on the upper floor of Leadenhall Market. If you're a Harry Potter fan, you might enjoy the view of the location used when Harry gets kitted out for Hogwarts and buys a wand. :)Very much enjoyed the patatas bravas, along with several other vegetarian dishes. Great place to go with a group of friends.

Came here with my best friend for some nibbles and beers and really enjoyed it. Such a chilled place to enjoy some Al Hambras Staff were very nice especially Juan who’s friendly and helpful!

Loved dining here. We had a cute table by the window over looking the market. Service was top notch. Food was phenomenal, beautifully tasty - even if they didn't have the pardon peppers. BUT, just gives me an excuse to return next time!
