First time staying in Donny. Saw this place high on list and near Premier Inn. Was a good choice. Excellent service. Nice independent resteraunt. Good feel in the place. The food was perfect. Platter starter was simple but everything you want. I had Steak the wife had Pork. Every mouthful was perfect. I don't give high praise easily but this whole experience was perfect.

Highly recommend visiting here. We had the most lovely night. We had 2 vegans in the group and this was dealt with without issue and they ended up being very well catered for after the owner had gone through the menu with them. Once ordered, the food exceeded our expectations. The portions were generous and the food was so tasty. Absolutely delicious. The service is so friendly and welcoming, it completely made our night! Thank you to all the staff for a lovely time. We were not sure tapas was our thing but we left complete fans! Would absolutely recommend on the staff alone

A really lovely hidden gem in Worksop. The food and drinks were really good. The welcome and great customer service that we received was absolutely lovely. Nothing was too much trouble - we shall definitely be returning. It was great to see somewhere busy with with a great atmosphere too.

I'd been meaning to visit the Malthouse for a while, mainly for their Beers but having finally managed to convince the Mrs to ditch our child for the night (He was left in safe hands with his grandparents if social services are reading) and visit La Roca to try the tapas. Initially I was a bit wary as there was a strong greasy smell prevailing within the restaurant but needn't have worried as when the food came; it was cooked to perfection. I went with the King Prawn Alioli & Mushrooms in Garlic Butter which was awesome . Patatas Bravas and Holloumi fries were also great and all were served up in generous portions. My wife's Lamb Kofta Kebab was served up in a flat bread and she seemed to have no complaints. We weren't too sure about a dessert but thank god we did. Although not particularly sold on the Churros we vouched to give them a go being as they were one of the only desserts on the menu that was authentically Spanish. Despite the Mrs being particularly sceptical about them she managed to polish off 3/4 of them. They were sweet, fluffy and amazing with the warm chocolate dip that accompanied them. The Chocolate Orange Torte that we also had was nice and rich but not a patch on the Churros. The Service was attentive, the lady serving was full of local knowledge putting our fears to rest about the fridges downstairs in the basement. I thought the premises may have previously been a morgue but thankfully the fridges were from when the shop was a buthchers in a former life. As a dedicated beer monster, I was also on a mission to try the beers from their very own brewery, The White LaRocca Blonde Pint & Caramel Stout were both very good but the Robin Hood ale tasted a bit off. After 3 pints the purse strings had been loosened so I asked for a Irish Coffee which was great but i should have played it safe with a Tia Maria one. The bill came in at £50 which is more than any self respecting Yorkshireman likes to pay but was worth every penny. I don't like to end the review on a negative but hopefully the air extraction equipment has been sorted since our visit or was a one off issue/ something unusual they were cooking that night as the greasy smell mentioned earlier also pervaded into our clothes leaving them smelling like a deep fat fryer then next day.

Lovely little Tapas restaurant. Authentic inside . Plenty of choice on the menus. Most dishes are £4-50 each. 3 each is normally sufficient. All very tasty 😋 Service was good , although we were not offered dessert . Cleanliness was a top priority there . We felt safe. Cash only at the moment . We didn’t have any and had to pop up to a cash point. We tend to just use our cards due to the Covid situation. Only one unisex toilet. Understandable as a small restaurant. However it was in a mess with urine over the floor. Not the owners fault but due the young group of young lads unfortunately. Would recommend this restaurant. A pleasant change to our normal choice of food.

My friend ordered the platters (2 for 4) for her 50th bday. It was amazing 😁the platter was very generous and absolutely gorgeous and delivered on time - a very good selection of tapas for both veggie and non veggie options. I could quite happily eat this for the whole week ! Fabulous selection of meats/cheeses/dips/bread/fruit -loved it 😘

We went on Saturday for breakfast. It was excellent, and one of the best cooked breakfasts I've had. It was cooked to order and nice and hot. There was the flexibility to change items and a large selection of extras. There was plenty choice with traditional as well as none traditional breakfasts. Service was excellent. We will definately be going back in the near future.

Place looked closed, but its the subdued lighting-don't be fooled they are open! A truly excellent breakfast, cooked to order we had Proper Poached eggs, Grilled Back Bacon, Plum Tomatoes, Baked beans, Hash Brown and Toast, with two Coffee Latte each in a very nice reasurant setting, all for less than £10 each!. Food was hot and pleantyful, the staff were brilliant and catered for Allegys or particular preferences, absolutely brilliant. this place is a hidden gem at the top of Worksop opposite the Town Hall Will visit again!

Now located near the cinema, so better parking but the same high level of service but an absolute bargain!, we sampled just about everything on the menu and were so impressed with it all!. Needs to be our once a month meal and film place.And the chocolate stout is very moreish too!

Never had a bad meal here. The service is always friendly and you are made to feel like you are the only people there. Food has always been top notch and the servers are very accommodating. I would recommend to anyone to try this place out. One of the best!!

A group of four friends went for a birthday. We thoroughly enjoyed the food and the gins were delicious. ! It was very quiet but we ate at 9pm on a rainy Friday night. We let the chef choose for us and it was delicious .

As locals to the area it can be a real struggle to find a really nice place to eat. La Roca is an absolute gem - food quality, service and value for money are all excellent. Highy recommended

We came for a tapas meal on a Thursday evening and have discovered a real gem of a restaurant and will definately be back. Cosy place with a lovely atmosphere... The food was out of this world and we enjoyed every single dish we tried. The staff were so friendly and welcoming and made it a brilliant experience. Please try this place its amazing!

This was our first visit to la roca and unfortunately our last. Waitress was very nice and polite so no complaints there, we started by ordering our drinks, no beer on the pump which meant bottles only and they only had about three bottles of red wine all different types.When we ordered they didn't have certain items on the menu which was disappointing and things they did have they only had small amounts of, so if all the party wanted paella we couldn't have it. The paella was very bland I've had nicer tasting from supermarkets. The tapas portions are small and over priced to other places in Worksop and Sheffield, it was nice tasting though, I also found that the menu did not have much choice either.Don't get me wrong it was a nice place and atmosphere was good but we won't be visiting again for a meal.

A few friends and I visited and we were appalled by the attitude of the manager and owner when we told her (after she pushed us for an opinion copious times like it was some sort of obsession) that the food was a little bland and tasted microwaved. It wasn't awful but hey ho we were pushed for a review, so we were honest. I've never known anything like the reaction we received: we were told that to give a bad review must have been the reason we came in the first place, we were cursed at, made to feel bad for giving an honest opinion because she "works bloody hard" and told we could have it for free if we didn't give a bad review. I never agreed to this however so here I am because I feel other people need to be warned how they will be treated if by no fault of their own they don't enjoy their meal. Her reaction was childish to say the least. Disgusting to say the most. One of my friends was in tears when we left and after I contacted the restaurant to inform them of this and tell them how I felt, we received no reply. Will not ever be returning to feel the same extent of embarrassment and upset caused by La Roca.

So how do you find the latest and greatest eatery where you live ? Easy head to these guys the food is always ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ and so is the knowledge of great food and the service of there staff.

Husband and I were there yesterday evening. The staff made us very welcome. We were brought complimentary bread (from the bakers just down the road) with a tub of Aioli. The menu is extensive and value for money. He had a selection of tapas while I had vegetable paella. My eyes are bigger than my belly but that’s ok because once the waitress confirmed with me that I was just full and there was nothing wrong with the dish, she was more than happy to box it up so I could finish at home. She even took the time and effort to check with chef the best way to reheat. We’ll definitely be going again and I’m sure our date nights will increase now we’ve discovered this gem of a dining establishment.

Hubby and I had a wonderful meal here last night with friends. Tapas was excellent, all freshly cooked and very tasty. A good range of wines to choose from. Staff were excellent.

It 1st time we been to this restaurant and it was very enjoyable. The young lady who served us was friendly and helpful also. The prices as very good for want we had and yes we would go back again.

Lovely service but food a little disappointing.

Food. ambience and service are excellent. Prices are very reasonable. We had 8 different tapas between three of us. They were all very good.

I have eaten here several times since it opened last year. The restaurant is always warm and welcoming and the service and food quality just superb. There are plenty of choices, both drinks and food and the owner clearly cares that customers enjoy their visit.

A great lunch today with my friend the tapas was great and so was the sangria, lovely waitress, all in all a hidden little gem, would highly recommend ♥️🍷

First time we dined here, very friendly atmosphere, the paella was very good and so were the tapas, very authentic Spanish food. We were that impressed we have booked for next weekend!

Went to La Roca for our wedding anniversary. First visit and what a surprise. Chilled atmosphere, top food and great service. The food is as good a tapas as you will eat anywhere.

Visited here with my husband on a week day. Treated ourselves to a rare after work meal out. We are big tapas fans and have been to quite a few tapas restaurants. This is now one of our favourites. The food was amazingly tasty. Nice range of dishes to choose from. The decor is fab and can see some thought and hard work went into making the place what it is. Relaxed atmosphere. Very friendly staff, our waitress was lovely and polite. Can’t wait to return to try some different dishes and I’m sure we’ll be returning with more us. Thank you :)

Visited La Roca for a birthday treat with some friends. All the serving staff were lovely, couldn't do enough for you. I started off with an espresso martini which was so good we all had another one! We each ordered three dishes and ended up with an overflow table as it wouldn't all fit on. We enjoyed all of it and all said we would go back. At £120ish for 4 it is not the cheapest night out but worth it for a special occasion.

1st visit tonight with a friend absolutely gorgeous, food and service was perfect and the best sangria I have ever had, would definitely recommend.

Hubby and I came here when it first opened and it was really good. The food was first class and staff were friendly and helpful.

Went here with 3 others. Had a lovely meal, freshly cooked. The attention from the waitress was very good, she was friendly and chatty without being overbearing. Can thoroughly recommend.

I enjoy Tapas and this place had been recommended by a friend so I was expecting big things but felt quite underwhelmed by the experience. The place itself is nice, there was 6 of us mid week so it wasn't too busy. Cocktails were lovely! The food itself wasn't what I would call traditional tapas compared to other places I've been to. There was bread on the table with a dip which tasted like the cheese and chive dip you get from a supermarket so not ideal. I ordered chicken kebab and 2 large kebabs came out which was too big for a tapas portion, no dipping sauce just a bit of dry salad. My second dish had a posh name and should have been triple cooked chips with special seasoning topped with spanish cheese. In reality it was oven chips sprinkled with paprika and topped with tasty cheese. My final dish was toasted bread with tomato and mozzarella, again far too big for a tapas portion and too dry it needed a drizzle of olive oil. We shared a paella which I thought was too sticky and bland, my friend said it had been nicer last time she had it there. I think perhaps I ordered the wrong dishes as a friends chicken in tomato sauce looked nice although patatas bravas looked like new potatoes with spicy sauce on the bottom and the meatballs looked very unappertising too dry because the sauce was just in the bottom of the dish. The service was just ok to say how quiet it was, we asked for the bill and it took a while to arrive although we'd say we were in a rush for the cinema. I'm afraid I prefer the Olive Tree in Worksop for Tapas so won't be visiting La Roca again although my friend still thinks it's nicer but did feel the service was poor this time.

Just enjoyed yet another lovely meal here. You get such a warm and friendly welcome and the service remains really top notch throughout your meal. They have an extensive and interesting menu and the food is served hot, fresh and promptly. Really decent cocktail menu at a fair price as well. Can’t fault this place and looking forward to going back time and again!

Visited on Saturday night for a family celebration. Staff are very friendly and quickly seated our group. Choice of our drinks was limited (hence only 4 stars) as the draught lager wasn't available and neither were two of the bottled lager choices. The tapas we orderdd however were excellent! They quote 3 to 4 tapas per person, and we went for 3. The quantity was plenty and they brought a few at a time, as our choice, so we weren't overwhelmed.

My husband and I recently visited La Roca. The service was great, and, although not the best tapas I've ever had everything was homemade and tasted good. We were given complimentary bread before ordering which was nice. During our visit a homeless man came in. He did not bother the customers or as for any money, he explained to the lady behind the bar that he was living on the street and could they do anything for him. They said they could not. Another diner gave the homeless man his complimentary bread, as we were going to do, and he left. It was disappointing to see that they were not able to help him in any way.

Visited here for my birthday with friends. The atmosphere was relaxed and fun. We shared tapas and every dish was well prepared and very tasty. The cocktails are well made, not watered down and good value. The owner and staff are all very friendly and on hand to offer cocktail and tapas suggestions. Would definitely recommend this place for a good night out.

Just been to La Roca for a spot of Tapas for lunch with my 6 year old boy. The food was delicious and the waitress was very helpful advising on portion sizes. My little lad had a mermaid freak shake and as the waitress said that it was the first one that she had made, Noah loved it and drew her a gold star as he liked it that much. We also had some Churros which he were lovely. All in all we had a lovely lunch. Would highly recommend.

The transformation from a run down shop to a great little tapas bar was certainly worth the effort. It might be small but has a great atmosphere so if you want to try it, make sure you book as word has already got round about this great tapas bar and is already fully booked for weeks ahead on Saturday nights.

A lovely warm welcome greeted us as we entered. The tapas is varied and very tasty. There is a good range of cocktails which were delicious. The dessert was scrumptious.

We visited La Roca as a party of 4 on a Saturday night in Februaryand were all really impressed with the food and service. We all ate tapas and it was truly authentic. The Manager explained that everything was sourced in Spain and you could tell, it was beautifully cooked and the portions were just the right size. Will definitely be back though will try not to drink too many of the lovely gins next time as the bar bill was more than the food. (our own fault though as they were so lovely)

We had a great night, booking is a must for a weekend. They had a good selection of gin and wines. Very friendly staff and great service too. The food was delicious. We had a few tapas dishes to start and then had the paella as a main. All the food we tried was cooked beautifully. The only problem we had was deciding which to have. Can't wait to return to try some of the other dishes. Great to have a place like this in Worksop.

Came here with my partner and another couple. We found the service lovely and the ambience just right. The food was all lovely and fresh and arrived in great time. The only complaint I have is myself and another diner on our table ordered 4 churros each for dessert and the staff took it upon themselves to make us share a plate of 8 because it was cheaper. They may of been trying to help but please in future give people what they ask for as I couldn’t eat more than one as the other person was double dipping and all sorts and it put me off so you didn’t save me money I spent money on something I couldn’t eat.

Visited last night for our 3rd visit and again everything about it was first class, food, wine, atmosphere and quality service.

Party of eight ladies, Friday night, eating prior to cinema visit. First impressions- beautifully clean and authentically decorated, menu helpful, drinks menu great, cocktails beautiful. Staff extremely friendly and couldn't do enough for you if somewhat a little awkward at service. Shared a paella and some chunky chips but although tasty wasn't enough to share as portion size rather small. Had churos for sweet choice but unfortunately found them hard and greasy. Had a really good evening though, the staff are really trying hard to make the eating experience enjoyable, but having had many a plate of Spanish cuisine in my time, found it to be off the mark on this occasion. Pricey but 10/10 for the hard work of the staff and their great hospitality, I will perhaps try a coffee and cake next time

I’m so pleased that this restaurant has opened, the town needed it, the decor is furnished to give it a Tapas Bar feel, the owner is a great host & is very knowledgeable in The Spanish culture, her staff are friendly & helpful to.

We celebrated a friend’s 50th birthday yesterday, Sat 30th Dec. Due to the numbers in our party, we had the whole place to ourselves.

Chose this venue to go for a meal with friends. Turns out to be 27 of us in the end. Susan, the owner, was so helpful and said she would take no other bookings and make it a private party. She offered to help with anything I wanted to make it a special evening such as DJ, karaoke, balloons etc. also taxis. We communicated through Facebook messenger and by phone and she was always quick at responding. Because of the numbers we pre ordered our food choices. The food was not disappointing and was lovely and hot. Thank you chef for accomodating my friends, one of which has an allergy and one is gluten free. The bar staff are friendly and attentative. Couldn't do enough for you. Patricia is a credit to you. Susan, her husband and her staff are working hard on this project. Just what Worksop needs. Brilliant for a party but I've also been for coffee and cake whilst in town shopping and got the same service.

What a lovely little place. The atmosphere and the decor was stunning. The tapas was amazing and there was lots of choice. The house white wine was beautiful. The service from all staff was impeccable. Definitely would like to go again.
