We had a lovely relaxing Sunday dinner here recently. Friendly staff, very pleasant atmosphere and the food was pretty good. This was post the Sunday Carvery rush, so it made for a more relaxed experience. Overall, very good and would definitely be back. Certainly still good value for your money.

Roast potatoes are not done long enough for past few months

Had an 11 person work get together here tonight. I must say I was very impressed with the food served and the service by the staff. It was very busy on a Friday but our table was reserved and ready for us on arrival. All meals arrived promptly and piping hot. What's not to love. Well done guys. 😋

We went for a meal with family,the atmosphere was welcoming,the food was lovely,the staff polite,we were served at the bar by Josh,he was a new member of staff,lovely young man,good manners,some customer’s were moaning for the sake of it,but staff were polite at all times we will be back thankyou.

Went with the family for Sunday lunch, received a warm welcome from Bex on arrival, shown to a nice round table in a quieter area of the restaurant, prompt and polite service at the bar from Zoe, we all went for the carvery which was well stocked and presented by Sharon, and served to us by Adam. Would definitely recommend for a Sunday carvery, but advise that booking is essential on a Sunday .

Lovely friendly staff a great carvery followed by a gluten free banoffee cheesecake. Sunday lunch doesn’t get much better.

Always a great meal!! The price is a bug selling point but the food is much better than you would think for a “cheap chain pub”. Because its so much more staff are friendly, its clean and even when dining alone you are made to feel comfortable

The Sunday Roast there was delicious! You could choose a little bit of each meat (gammon, turkey and beef), which is great if you can’t decide which one to have. Lovely cheesy cauliflower, tasty creamy mash and great stuffing too. I wanted to go back for more, but didn’t want to stuff myself too much! I would also recommend the cordials. They are cheaper and tasty drinks. The cherry and vanilla one tasted great. Nice staff too- we were served by Adam and Sharon.

Another brilliant meal at the King Billy. Called in on Sunday for a family carvery and it was great. The meats were cooked just right and all the veg was all fresh and hot. I would definitely say to book as the place was full, we had a short wait for a table as we called on spec.

Usual friendly service. The place is in serious need of a polish/ revamp in certain areas. Looking a bit jaded. Obviously being squeezed on profit margins as the portion sizes reflect this. Not so in more affluent areas. Prices up, portions down. If they don't sort this, people will vote with their feet.

Service great Monday to Saturday but some carvery staff leave a lot to be desired on Sunday.

Our Go-to place for good food, excellent value, and cheerful greetings. There are great savings to be had through many discounts, bonuses etc, so definitely worth a visit if you haven't been before.

Family meal out for the carvery was beautiful! We was welcomed with polite friendly staff members who showed us our table and then continued to check on us throughout our meal! Carvery had lots of choices from a variety of meat and vegetables and as many homemade Yorkshire puddings as you want! My sons words were the best popcorn chicken he had ever tasted! Lovely meal out and will definitely be returning!

This is not a pub, it’s a cheap food place that serves alcohol. Waited in a line 15 minutes to order 2 pints, only one person one. then had to wait for them again to be brought over instead of pulling them. 25 minutes from walking in we got our beer we stopped in for

I go out most Sundays for dinner with my brothers and families. From 6 to 14 of us. We’ve paid double to what this cost. The meal was great. The staff are so friendly especially Sharron. We will be returning soon.

This was our first visit here, we arrived to a warm welcoming smile from the staff and was shown to our table. The pub had a lovely atmosphere to it with great effort made with festive decorations. We came for a carvery and we was not disappointed, with my husband saying it’s one of the best carvery’s he’s had ! My sons words was this turkey is banging! There was a great selection of meats and as much veggies as you wanted! My mum also came along and as a vegetarian she usually has a limited selection however, here there was a wide variety for her! We was checked on by staff to ensure we was enjoying our meal. Overall I would highly recommend this pub! Great food, great atmosphere and friendly helpful staff !! We will definitely be returning!

We often meet at King William for our business meetings and it is the perfect venue. The place is warm and cosy with beautiful food too! Mark is a brilliant host and always ensures each visit is 5* Today I had the festive burger for my dinner and it was delicious, I will definitely be having one again!

Called in on Saturday whilst my son was at cricket practice. First ever visit to a Brewers Fayre and I was really impressed. The staff were friendly and helpful, the steak was cooked to perfection and was piping hot. Really nice pub. Looking forward to going back.

Food was mediocre, had bread and butter to go with our fish, and chips at extra cost. Bread was stale.

Myself and the team met here for a business meeting followed by some lunch. The quiet and calm atmosphere was the perfect place for us. Everyone was very happy with their lunch too! I had the lasagne and it was fantastic, I’ll definitely be coming back again!

This place has a wonderful and welcoming atmosphere, the staff couldn’t help enough. The friendly staff also offered some great hospitality by suggesting the bestselling dishes that are on offer. The clean and organised space left room for good memories. If I remember right, the front of house staff members Abi, Katie and Becca, were all lovely to speak too. Really put a smile on my face. The food was outstanding, a classic pie option that I gobbled up and it was delicious, hot and creamy. Couldn’t be happier with this experience, will come regularly!

Well cooked med rare steak ( slightly chewy in places- NOT a cheffing fault this', I feel) Stacey - very happy, helpful & Hunan at the till. Went to king William for my sons 16th Birthday on bank holiday Monday there was 23 of us in total. Jordan B took the order at the till spot on. The meals was served quickly and all came out together brilliant - food all good. Took a birthday cake which the staff brought out. Thank you for the fab service 👍👍

Top food. Had £10.99 breakfast 2 adults and 3 kids. Kids eat free so cost us £22 absolute bargain.

The place was completely empty on a Friday night. We quickly understood why. They had what they called an equipment failure and no gas available for drinks. It was more likely they messed up their gas order. I asked for a diet coke and the barman pointed at 2 opened supermarket bottles of 2l behind the counter. As I did not want a completely flat drink I ask for an alternative and the barman just looked at me. When our food arrive it was awfull, the homemade coleslaw was so dried it looked like it was made a week ago and my chicken breastfeeding had no taste whatsoever. When you pass this place run as fats as you can in the opposite direction.

I visited with my mum Tuesday 20th Febuary 2024, with all due respect there were big party in so the queues for the bar was quite big, but ended up leaving before we had our dessert because a table of silver surfers made fun of me whilst getting a drink and I wouldn't have believed it I haven't heard it for myself, these people should have been made to leave the premises and talking down to staff which they can't help being short staffed, I never got the bbq sauce that I asked for when my meal came, I won't be visiting ever again until they have banned the 12 o clock silver surfers, Just because there old they think there entitled to there opinion where and whenever, which they needed to show a little respect to other customers and staff.

So...... This evening I went to the King William pub at Oldcoats with a friend for an evening meal. I had not set foot in this place since I was in my teens, but as it was close by I thought it would be a good place to go. Needless to say, I will never set foot in this place again. My friend went to the bar to order our food and drinks. The bar was empty, there was no queue, yet my friend stood there for almost 10 minutes without being served. The staff saw them standing there, but continued their conversation, and spoke to others who had already been served but did not make as much as eye contact with my friend. It was at this point that we decided to leave and go somewhere else. The friend that I was with is a person of colour. They are a professional who has dedicated their life to the service of others. And to enter a public establishment and to see my friend treated the way that they were has angered more than I can put into words. I have never been so embarrassed of the colour of my own skin or the fact that I am classed as White British, as I am today. I would emplore everyone that I know, and everyone that reads this post to judge each and every person as an individual, and to base that judgement on the individuals actions and behaviour towards you, and not to base judgement on the colour of a person's skin, or believes you think they hold. Each and every one of us are different, and we all have our own believes, but does any of that even matter if we just treat each other with respect and kindness, and get to know one and other before judging. My heart is literally breaking at the moment with the unrest that seems to be consuming everyday life

Been coming here for years and it's always been a good meal. Service great very friendly staff and service fast. Good portions and really good price due to it being my partners birthday so she got a free meal as we are Brewers Fayre members, Ialso got a Blue Light discount. Mixed Grill and Smothered Platter all cooked great. The only down side was we moved table as under the aircon and it was cold, also my partner said all of the female toilets had broken locks.

We did go to a brewer's fayre pub in years after being disappointed in the past and it has not change whatsoever. We booked a table for 3 for 7pm and on arrival the place was extremely quiet but despite that there was no staff around to great us at the kiosk and the phone which was there constantly ringing remained unanswered. After about 10 mns wait a young lady attended to us and just showed us to our table. She never asked if we had been before or explained how it worked she just assumed we knew everything. When we went to order at the bar there was a note saying that due to equipment failure the draught Pepsi/coca cola refills were unavailable. When I asked what was the alternative the staff showed me a couple of 2 Liters supermarket Coke and Diet Coke bottles he had on the counter behind him with the lids open. I pointed out that keeping the lids open will cause the fizz in the bottles to go and therefore render the drinks completely flat. He just looked at me as if to say what do you want me to do about it? I understand that most people are drinking beer or alcohol but for people like us who do not do so a flat fizzy drink is definitely not the best alternative. I just could not grasp why it was so difficult for him to closed the lids on the bottles after each use beside laziness. We decided to have lime and soda water which came in can for which we got charged £2.60 a can. This is the most expensive lime and soda we ever had. When the food came it was not better the homemade coleslaw looked like it was made 3 days ago as the mayonnaise on it seemed like it all dried off, the salad had barely any dressing on it and the grilled chicken was completely covered with melted cheese all over to hide the fact it was only on the grill for like 30 seconds. As for the skin on fries half of them were ratty and burnt out. When we left, there was only 2 tables occupied in the restaurant and yet no staff in sight anywhere to thank us and wish us goodbye. We could have left with tables and chairs or with the tills and no one would have noticed. I am really surprised that this chain is still in business, it is supposed to be a community pub but I actually thing that they hate the community. We have not use our rewards card for years and we do not attend to do so anytime soon or distant. In fact I have decided to completely discard it.

First of all, I would like to mention that the food is quite ok from 1 to 10, it deserves a score of 7, but the service staff wowwww are below mediocre level, as far as I know in any kind of restaurant someone takes you then when you sit down at a table you are offered a menu, and here there is a complete lack of food The environment is super ok, but with small improvements and the desire to work, they can be solved Hello staff, the next time someone sits down at a table to eat, please also offer wipes because they are cheap

Poor service, was queuing at the bar for 20mins with 1 staff serving drinks while all others just wonder about looking daft, then had to queue for the carvery again for another 20mins. Nearly 15pound for a carvery is all good if the food is decent but the beef was tough as leather and the roasties was soggy there is a very small selection of veg and that was also soggy. Very over priced for the service will definitely not be returning.

On arrival it appeared to be a clean, well presented pub. Unfortunately it was down hill from there. The staff appeared to be running around like headless chickens. On a busy Sunday only two were on the bar so you can imagine the wait time and only one staff on the food counter serving the roast. The beef was dry and chewy, absolutely full of gristle. The veg was ok but wasn't exactly hot. I mentioned it to a young girl collecting the plates and she was absolutely clueless. I'm sorry but nice surroundings, but understaffed and totally mismanaged.

I ordered a grilled chicken burger and the chicken was such bad quality. I often buy chicken from aldi and the quality is much better there. i’m so disappointed because I was excited to try this restaurant.

We visited for the carvery on Father’s Day. The restaurant was very busy as usual but we had booked as the carvery is very popular in the area, the service was excellent. The meats excellent and all the vegetables hot and fresh. We had a great Father’s Day - Thanks to all the Staff!

I dined there with my family which included 2 young children. The service was exceptional, friendly and fast. The menu had something on to suit each of us without compromise and we all thoroughly enjoyed the food. Can't recommend this highly enough - a superb venue for families. Thank you to all staff for a lovely evening.

Was clearly a busy day and lots of the tables were consumed with glasses, service took a while but we were prepared by staff for that. Food was nice, would say we weren't full but ate everything.
